    Joining CFC was the best decision I ever made! I have been a member of CFC for over two years and plan to be a member for a lifetime! They helped get me into shape, look beautiful, be confident, and feel the best I have ever felt!

    I had a fantastic experience with CFC the month before my wedding. Granted, I had used a Groupon for the month, so the price was hard to beat ($39 for unlimited classes for the month). I was challenged physically and had to have my dress taken in several inches because of the great core work offered by my boot camp instructor. I wish I could afford to keep going to the training because I loved it and would highly recommend it.

    I wanted to look and feel great on my wedding day and in my wedding dress! I knew if I told myself I would go to the gym everyday or wake up early and go for a run - I knew myself and I knew I would find ways out of it. I thought about hiring a personal trainer but that was just too expensive! I signed up for Custom Fitness about 5 months before my wedding and I couldn't be more thankful that I did. It was honestly like having a personal trainer for a fraction of the cost!! They have classes all over the area so I first tried one near my house but switched to another location because it was right around the corner from my work. Of course I was really nervous in the beginning- was I going to be able to keep up?Was I going to be the most out of shape person in the class? I was relieved when I went to class and realized there are all different fitness levels in the class. The instructors are really good about motivating you and keeping you going When I missed a class my instructor would e-mail me and ask me where I was and remind me about the wedding and kept me motivated. Although the class isn't just for brides I met a bunch of other girls in the class that were also getting married and made some new friends which also helped keep me motivated. Boot camp isn't an easy workout but when I put on my wedding dress and looked in the mirror and saw what great shape I was in -it all paid off. I am thankful I came across Custom Fitness and I'm grateful to Tom my instructor who got me in the best shape of my life for my wedding! Now back from the honeymoon and back to it :)

    Custom Fitness Concepts - Fitness Boot Camp truly helped me get to my "wedding" goal. My instructor, Tom, pushed me harder than I would have ever pushed myself in a gym and the group environment made it something to look forward to rather than dread. The instructor works with all levels of fitness ability and doesn't make anyone feel uncomfortable. I highly recommend this to brides looking to get in great shape (and after the wedding too!) I plan on continuing this program because I have seen the results and feel great!

    CFC is a wonderful program and helped me really get in shape for our big day. I started the program to get out of my stale workout routine. I had lost 20 pounds before the program. I hit a plateau in my weight loss and CFC helped me get beyond that. I bought my dress right before I joined CFC about 3 sizes too small. I the lost another 20 pounds when I joined the program and went down three dress sizes. I even had to have my dress taken in. I took about 8-9 months. Even when I wasn't losing weight, I really saw a huge difference in my measurements.

    The program is a great program because all of the people you work out with are very supportive, the instructors are knowledgeable, and they really care about and track your progress. There is so much variety from day to day that you will never get bored and your body will never get accustomed to a stale routine. So many people in our morning session lost weight and really became a support group. Our instructor (Jen) even focused a lot of our sessions leading up to the wedding on arms and shoulders because I told her how much I wanted to tone them for my strapless dress. The whole class, sore arms and all, stuck through it with me and really helped take us all the way to our special day.

    Also, my fiance and I did the program together, and it really helped us develop a healthy habit in our relationship. I would recommend this program to any bride and groom.

    Anyone planning a wedding knows, there is NEVER enough time in the day, let alone time to waste on a workout that A) you dread going to and B) feels like you barely broke a sweat. I'm a petite person by nature, so any fluxuation in lbs shows drastically and like most brides out there, I wanted to be in top shape not only for that DRESS, but for all the new honeymoon bathing suits and unmentionables!!

    When my friend, Lindsey, told me I should try a class with her for free, I was 100% game. What did I have to lose except the jiggle?! Well, after the workout, I decided to sign up for CFC for 6 months before my wedding and have stuck with it ever since. Here's why:

    1. The workouts. Yes, after my first week going to CFC, I was basically sore in places I forgot could even be sore. During warm up, I could barely make it around the block without stopping at least once. To my surprise, everything got much easier by even the second week and by the time the wedding rolled around, I was able to run a full mile non-stop and my arms were more toned than they had been probably since freshman year of college. The trainers are always switching up the workouts, so you don't feel bored (great for people like me who get distracted easily) and you don't feel like you're neglecting parts of your body.

    2. The trainers. Their trainers are fantastic, super available for questions after your workout and even via email. Diet is such a huge part, especially for women, and the trainers made me feel completely comfortable sharing my roadblocks and helping me find ways to get through my addiction to sugar. They keep you updated for location changes due to weather or if a sub is coming in. Naturally, you'll have your favorites, but overall, I was extremely satisfied with all the trainers I have experienced so far.

    3. The locations. With all the locations around the DC/metro area, I could go to the location two blocks from my office in Ballston, and if I was feeling extra ambitious over the weekend, could hop over to the part near Dupont.

    Finally, the money you spend for these workouts is peanuts compared to what it costs to join a gym and go putz around for over an hour AND you can freeze your membership (for when the big day finally rolls around!!!)

    Hope this helped someone make the decision to at least start working out before the big day. While your wedding isn't all about the artificial nonsense, let's be honest - You spent all this money and time agonizing over a photographer, hair/make-up and the dress. The least you can do is get yourself fit, release some of that wedding planning stress and boost up that stamina for the honeymooon!!! :)

    I signed up for Custom Fitness Concepts (CFC) in February 2008 with the intention of doing the program for a month or two to get my act together and back on track before summer... and I'm still doing it. It is different and challenging. When you are planning and saving for a wedding you try to trim extra spending where you can. I found that this was NOT one of those places. It was worth the money in numerous ways. It kept me in shape through all the stress of it as well as giving me a workout that I could count on that would help me release and forget about the stress of it all for one hour a day. By the last month of planning a wedding, that is such a gift! I have mostly attended classes instructed by Tom, and I can vouch that he will push you, especially that last month or 2, to make sure that you are where you want to be physically so that you look perfect in that dress!

    I started Boot Camp with Custom Fitness Concepts about two months before my wedding date. I loved the intense workout I received three times a week from my instructor Colleen. Colleen makes the workouts in the morning fly by because she is so energetic, and fun. She also helps ensure you are getting the most out of your workout. Her constant feedback, pushing you, or guiding you to an easier exercise to help build muscle, flexibility and cardio are awesome!! The only issue I have had is with the billing. The website isn't very helpful. I choose to purchase my sessions at the $12 amount, and found myself constantly re-enrolling in the camp. Four months later, I get an email from billing that they have canceled all my enrollment except one, where they charge me once a month for three sessions. It's very confusing, and the website's design isn't helpful.
    Also, be on the look out for the substitutes who sub in for Colleen when she is out of town. They aren't nearly as experienced as Colleen and I find myself now enjoying the camp as much as when she is there. I would highly recommend the boot camp to everyone though looking to increase their activity, or get into a wedding dress!
