Critsey was awesome to work with! She takes the time to get to know you, your “style”, and what your vision is so the pictures come out better than you had imaged! We wanted our dog to be in our engagement pictures and in our wedding. Capturing the one second moment when my dog was actually behaving is challenging, but not for her! She was able to get the best pictures at the most perfect moments. And she makes everything fun!

Captured us perfectly
Photos are very important to me. I searched meticulously for the perfect photographer and I found her! Critsey Rowe captured our wedding in a way that I truly believe did more than tell our story but showed us how much our family and friends love us.
The footage she captured of my sister crying when seeing me in my wedding gown is priceless to me. Seeing so much joy and happiness on the faces of our parents will forever be some of my favorite pictures.
Critsey captured so much of the emotion of our wedding. I get weepy (in a good way) just looking through the pictures and reliving the moments. The dancing photos made me laugh out loud! There are some seriously hysterical photos of my crazy friends that I may just use for blackmail if they ever run for office. LOL!
The photos of Jared and I are some of my favorite photos we have ever taken together. We loved our engagement shoot with Critsey as well. She makes you feel so comfortable in front of her camera.
From the very beginning, I felt like we were old friends. She is very detailed and helpful. She helped bustle my dress when no one else remembered how and my sister was MIA at the moment. She even made sure we had drinks and were having a good time. She is talented and thoughtful. She is very responsive and always communicated well. (be prepared for some vendors to be horrible at communication ahem, our florist). She promised our photos by a certain date and actually delivered them two weeks early. Her service is definitely quality.
I did a lot of research and kept circling back to Critsey Rowe Photography and even though she was a bit over our original photo budget I cannot even begin to say how grateful I am that I chose her. She is worth 1000 times more than what we paid. Honestly, her work is priceless. If photos are important to you book her.

Beyond our expectations!!
Critsey came highly recommended by several of my friends and also our venue. I knew from her work our photos would be good but our photos are phenomenal! I do not consider myself photogenic and I was not looking forward to pictures on our wedding day but Critsey made it so easy. She is laid back and made sure we were having a great time. When we received the photos I could not stop looking at them. They are so beautiful and I actually like the ones of myself. Sorry if that sounds vain. From the very moment I booked Critsey, I realized I put myself in the very best of hands. She is a responsive communicator who gave me all the information I needed to be prepared for my shoot. As it refers to photography, she is the consummate expert in her field. The images I have of myself are some of the most beautiful images I’ve ever had taken and I am forever grateful for them. It takes a lot of faith and trust to stand in front of a stranger in your panties but with Critsey, you can feel comfortable because she doesn’t feel like a stranger, she instantly feels like a friend... one who will direct you so you end up with the most flattering and beautiful images. The only thing I will warn you of : you WILL want to show everyone. If you’re in the market for boudoir photos- do yourself a favor and look no further- Critsey is your girl. I’m seriously sad I didn’t know Critsey when I was in the market for a wedding photographer, looking at her portfolio, any bride would be lucky to have her capture their day.

Picking a photographer was the most important decision we made for our wedding. AMAZING! Kind and talented photographer
We could not be more pleased with our wedding photos. Critsey and her second photographer were fun to work with and all our friends and family keep complimenting how great they were. Did I mention we love our photos!! Book her fast because she is popular and we were lucky to book her before someone else did. My BF wanted to use her for her wedding but waited too long to commit and lost her to another bride. Lucky for me my BF referred her to me when we got engaged and she made sure I booked right away. I cannot stop looking at our photos even months later. Critsey shared sneak peeks on Instagram of our wedding photos a few days after our wedding. When planning our wedding the most the thing we most desired was beautiful, classic and timeless photographs to treasure, which is absolutely what we got with Critsey Rowe Photography. Critsey’s photographs are truly amazing. They are rich, vibrant and captured the emotions and sentiments of the day perfectly. Critsey’s attention to detail was exceptional and her photographs tell a story and make you feel like you are experiencing the day from the very beginning. Her artistry is simple masterful. She has an exceptional eye for style, placement, color and lighting. She knew exactly what placement to use to get the most desired photograph. The photographs look like they are straight out of a magazine. Not only were the photographs special, but Critsey made the entire process easy. From our first phone call, we felt relaxed and comfortable with her. She was open to all ideas and suggestions and was so complimentary and excited for us and the wedding. She was filled with ideas and had creative ways to photograph our three dogs who were groomsmen in the wedding. Our dogs came out looking like adorable dolls and to say the images are cute cannot even begin to do them justice. Critsey was organized and meticulous and made sure every shot was captured in a timely manner so as not to take away from the wedding. Critsey herself was exceptional to work with and kind beyond measure. It is rare to find someone so talented, as well as an exceptional person filled with goodness, kindness and love. She helped me get dressed and did things way outside the scope of a photograph, all the while gracious and happy to be part of the event. She moved me to tears when she was helping show my family how to properly bustle my dress. Critsey’s attention to detail is truly incredible, down to the thank you note she sent following the wedding. It was such a thoughtful gesture yet meant so much to us. We truly cannot say enough wonderful things about Critsey Rowe Photography. Choosing her, who was the first vendor we hired, was the greatest decision. There is no doubt why she is listed as one of the top photographers in Charlotte and we would argue that she is the very best in all aspects. Critsey helped my daughter with her wedding photos this past November and we were beyond thrilled with the experience! Critsey and her husband Thomas are the best! First Class Service, Quality and Commitment
Our wedding planner recommended Critsey Rowe Photography and my wife had the pleasure of meeting Critsey, of course without me as the groom. My wife decided to go with Critsey because it was pretty clear from her work, her attention to detail and commitment to provide high quality photography especially given the understanding that these pictures document the most important and special day of our lives. When my wife got her bridal portraits, I knew we made the right choice when I saw tears stream down her face not just because it was reminding her that she is getting married, but also because I know how much quality and service mean to my wife; the portraits were gorgeous. On the wedding day, it was amazing to see Critsey and Thomas move with such grace and confidence which gave us peace of mind that our photography would be world class. During the pictures after the ceremony, some of the shots they took were clever and well-thought out but also they had a sense of humor and were genuine people which also meant a lot to us. When received the final product, words do not convey the world class effort and quality were captured within our pictures. They are simply breath-taking! We made the decision before the wedding not to do a video that made me a bit nervous. However, Critsey's pictures were so phenomenal, that a video of the wedding is not even needed given the rigor, care and commitment she, Thomas and their assistant put in to capturing the most amazing moments of our lives. Critsey was so great to work with, we could not have had a better experience. She is thoughtful and organized. I have a really big family and was concerned about how the family photos would work out and Critsey walked me through it. On the wedding day everything went smoothly and Critsey got all the pictures we wished for without any trouble at all. My family is not the easiest to corral so I must say I was really impressed.
I heard about Critsey from friends before I was even engaged and I started following her on Instagram. I thought I probably couldn’t afford her but I asked for pricing anyway and was pleasantly surprised she is very affordable. She also came highly recommended by several of our vendors and our venue.
I should also mention my mom is a wedding planner in Ohio and she was very impressed with Critsey. She loves her so much she is already trying to get her weddings in Ohio.

Critsey and her husband Thomas knew all of the best spots to take pictures at Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden. We received nearly a thousand photos from them and we love every single one. As many people recommended, if you're going to choose an area to make an extra investment in for the wedding, make it in the photography as you'll enjoy the photos for a lifetime. When looking for our Wedding Photographer, we found Critsey and she stood out above the rest. We found her after one of my good friends referred her. She photographed her wedding a few years ago and when I saw the photos I knew she had a special talent. So we went for it and decided to go all out – Engagement, Bridal and Wedding Photographs. We are even signed up to do a one year anniversary session at Biltmore Estate with Critsey after seeing the photos she did for someone else there. Stunning doesn’t even begin to describe those photos. I can’t wait for our session there. Critsey is so easy to get along with, she felt like a bridesmaid with a camera and she takes the most BEAUTIFUL photos.
Critsey is extremely organized and answered every email promptly and was always so sweet. She also has resources for any and all questions you might have (What should we wear, how much time will we have, where are we meeting…), guidelines of what to do and not to do to make your photos turn out the best and as natural as possible – everything comes in beautifully layout guides so you can navigate and have all your questions answered, even the ones you didn’t think of! She she has thought of everything! My husband and I were married on the 9th of September at Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens. Critsey was on their preferred provider list for a good reason. We instantly connected with Critsey via Skype for our first meeting. Our first in person meeting was during our complimentary engagement photo session which turned out wonderful. Critsey had photographed at this location before and knew all the great spots. She asked us about our families and what photos we would want that were not the standard family photos. Critsey made each photo happen seamlessly. We have not stopped looking at our pictures since we got them. She captured moments that we would have never thought of. Her and Thomas knew all of the best spots at Daniel Stowe as well. She was truly amazing to work with and an absolute treasure in the queen city. Our photographer was one of the first things we picked out for our wedding- and we made the absolutely perfect choice. Critsey and her husband have so much talent and are so warm and easy to work with. The photos speak for themselves, but they don't tell you how fun they are to get! Critsey truly has a way of capturing moments that are unique to the people, day, and event- so her photos always look unique and special. Our first look photos are probably my favorite! SO magical! Critsey came highly recommended to me by other Greek brides. I was having a big fat Greek wedding and needed someone who knew our traditions and could capture our special moments. We chose Critsey because she continually came highly recommend from every person that we know who had been married recently. We also really liked her style. She was on time and was very professional in all aspects of the wedding day. Her husband did a wonderful job with the groom and groomsmen as well. We loved all the pictures (over 800!) that she presented to us. She really knows her profession inside and out. No wonder she has won so many awards. She was reasonably priced for what you got. Critsey Rowe went above and beyond in every way – from booking a mini engagement session in Charlotte for the newspaper to trekking to Charleston for our engagement shoot (same swamp location as the row-boat scene in The Notebook) to capturing the most meaningful moments of our wedding. Our photos from our Charleston engagement shoot were even PUBLISHED in Carolina Bride Magazine! So much more than just photos, they truly are heirloom quality pieces. Truly, her photography will be cherished for generations to come.
Before meeting our photographer, my biggest fear was that our photos would look like that couples section of the high school yearbook. We definitely didn't want anything too cheesy or generic. While she does lots of portraiture, many more from her shoots are of a photo-journalistic or documentary style. Even in doing portraits, she doesn't do stiff posing. Her photos just have that something extra. Though she helped to coach us into some of the shots, we were so relaxed and happy that we completely forgot that she was there.
Critsey shot our wedding with her husband, Thomas Geist. They're always in sync - both relaxed and deliberate. They communicate so well verbally and non-verbally - each watching what the other is doing to get different perspectives/shots to compliment the other.
Besides the gorgeous photos, we absolutely love Critsey as a person. She is so down to Earth and laid back. It can be extremely nerve-wracking to have photos taken professionally the first time. Critsey can make even the most nervous-Nellie/control freak/type A person (aka me) feel super relaxed and comfortable during a shoot.
Critsey also helped me to create a book of sensual and beautiful photos for my husband's groom's gift on our wedding night. It gave us a moment to pause and to have quiet time together after such a wonderful whirlwind of a wedding. We were then able to switch gears and to just focus on each other during our first night as husband and wife.

WOW WOW WOW - I just love Critsey and Thomas! I had the pleasure to have our engagement session, bridal and wedding day photos taken by the talented team. During our engagement session, the duo made the afternoon of shooting a blast and captured amazing shots full of laugher and love. Critsey even offered fun advice on props! During my bridals, I loved how Critsey and Thomas made the session fun and relaxing. I have honestly looked at my photos a million times as I couldn't believe it was me! The photos are breathtaking as the backdrop and creativity in the shots was beyond my expectations. After the wedding, I was able to show family and friends and they agreed they are magazine worthy!
I recently got married in October. Thomas was our lead photographer and made our day perfect and stress free. He was also a trooper as it rained our entire wedding day - and he always had a positive smile on his face and demanded we take fun rain shots!! I booked Critsey for a bridal boudoir session, and all I can say is, WOW. I was a bit nervous as I'm 40 and not in perfect shape, but thanks to Critsey I have never looked better! The most important thing to me is wedding photographs for your wedding, because after it's all said and done all you have left is the memories and the photographs. I have heard of brides who have been so upset with their photographs after the wedding because they did not want to spend much. Critsey was great throughout the process, from explaining how everything would work to making sure I was comfortable throughout. I love the finished product of the album - she added some great creative touches to make the layout truly unique and special. I felt like she understood what I was looking for and made sure that I got everything I wanted from the experience. Thank you, Critsey!

Critsey is not only one of the most talented people I've ever met, but also the absolute sweetest, most genuine woman you will every meet. I can't say enough amazing things about her and her stunning work. Reliving our wedding through her photos has been incredible!!! My husband and I are forever grateful that we had the chance to meet Critsey. Her passion for photography is beyond words. She captured memories from our wedding day that will stay with us forever. We love to manage expectations in life, but it is pretty evident that you can have high standards for Critsey and she will likely exceed them. Not only was she a wonderful person to work with, but she captured amazing photos. We have continued to use Critsey for our family pictures and we look forward to many more great portraits.

Critsey is an amazing photographer! She really listens to what you want, but also creates wonderful shots you wouldn't even think of. All of my wedding photos were beautiful and unique...she didn't just take photos, she captured each special moment of my big day! She is a lot of fun to work with, is very creative, and I trust her completely! I highly recommend Critsey to any bride!

We loved working with Critsey! We chose her because her photography was the perfect mix of modern/artsy/traditional. She put together a custom package that included engagement photos, bridal portraits, rehearsal dinner and wedding, and all of her photos were gorgeous. On the wedding day, she and her husband were so fun and professional and thought of everything, from unique poses to safety pins for any dress mishaps. I highly recommend her!

Critsey Rowe is absolutely amazing! She is so passionate about her work and it really shows through her pictures! Our wedding party loved her and how we did non-traditional and fun wedding party pictures. She captured every moment of the reception....things that my husband and I missed! We are considering doing an after session with her! I would recommend her over anyone else!!!

Even though my wedding has not happen yet, but because of my work with Critsey for my boudoir session with her that I truly believe she will be a good fit for my fiancee and I when it comes my photography. She is so friendly and easy to work with that I know I will have a good experience. At first I thought I would need to settle for something else when I could not afford another photo/video team that I loved. It was not until I found Critsey that I finally was able to say I am happy I didn't have to settle for something less than perfect.

My fiancé and I connected very well with Critsey and Thomas. Both of them were very professional and took their work seriously; you can tell that they care so much about what they do! For my wedding I wanted a photographer who captured all the special moments of the event without being super pose-y or cutesy, and that's exactly what Critsey did for us. I felt completely comfortable in her hands, and she did a wonderful job picking out places for us to have our photos taken, including my bridal portraits, which took place in a beautiful neighborhood with gorgeous spring flowers. I would say that her best quality as a photographer is quickly sizing up the couple and then taking photos that make them look good and capture the spirit of the wedding. Thanks, Critsey and Thomas! We just love our pictures.

Critsey's photos are amazing! I work with gorgeous photos on a daily basis, and her photos still wow me. She is able to capture every detail of the day and is able to find those creative shots that make the most unique and memorable images. Not only is the final product great, but Critsey is so experienced with weddings that she was able to help us along while getting ready.

Critsey was wonderful to work with and the photographs she took were absolutely amazing! She photographed our engagement session, my bridal portraits and of course our wedding and everyone that has seen them has commented on how beautiful her work is. I love her creativity and ideas and she made us feel so comfortable during each shoot. Critsey is definitely a great photographer to use to capture those extra special moments.

Critsey is an awesome photography. Critsey and Thomas are nice and very professional. They are also very patient with "first timers" and first time gitters. Brides should go for professional hair and make up to give in order to get them that "model right out of off a magazine" look. grooms should seek facials and manicures for the photo shoot as well.

If you want beautiful pictures and a stand-in wedding planner choose Critsey for your wedding. Though she is a bit pricey, it is completely worth it. The whole night she was snapping great photos and staying behind the scenes. Her and her husband were a great team to work with and my husband and I had so much fun shooting pictures with them. Not only is she extremely talented, but she helped re-bustle my dress and got me a drink when I needed it. She also had foundation paper to help me with my make-up! I'm so glad I chose Critsey Rowe Photography for my wedding. We now have beautiful memories that will last us a lifetime.
