Claire is Amazing!

Claire is wonderful! She did a beautiful job on my bridal and my bridesmaids makeup! For the trial she came to my house, which made it super easy on me in the middle of the wedding planning stress. She understood my vision and was very committed to making sure that I completely happy. We tried a couple different lip colors during the trial and she checked in a couple days later to make sure that it stayed well all day. Her calming personality was perfect on the morning of the wedding day

The best natural glam!

Claire made me feel like a queen during my wedding! She has truly mastered the elevated natural glam and I never felt like I had too much makeup on or didn't look like myself. She was a great calming presence during the day and everyone who got their makeup done came back feeling gorgeous and relaxed. She kept to schedule and everything went so smoothly. I would highly recommend Claire!

Amazing Makeup Artist

Claire was the best makeup artist! She was so organized and finished everyone’s makeup for the wedding right on schedule. She was so sweet and all of my brides maids loved her. My mom also couldn’t stop raving about everyone’s makeup. She made us all feel very confident and beautiful. Her makeup was flawless and lasted throughout the whole day with no issues. She even gave the bride a touch up kit. I would definitely use Claire again for any makeup needs in the future.

Best makeup artist in San Diego!

Cannot say enough great things about Claire! We hired her to do our wedding makeup for our 3-11-22 wedding at La Valencia in La Jolla and the results were amazing! Claire was kind, responsive, and on time (finished ahead of schedule). None of us wanted anything too over the top and Claire did a great job of making us feel beautiful while still comfortable. Look no further for an amazing makeup artist!

Beyond Talented Makeup Artist

Claire is the best makeup artist I have ever had! Claire did my makeup for my engagement photos, rehearsal dinner, and wedding. She is extremely professional, easy to communicate with, and insanely talented! I had a large bridal party and she tailored everyone's makeup to their preference and everyone looked beautiful!

Claire has a gift for bringing out everyone's natural beauty that will make you feel and look amazing. A huge bonus to working with Claire is she is so friendly and genuinely a great person to be around.

I am looking forward to working with Claire for all future makeup needs!

Claire is AMAZING to work with!

Working with Claire was a dream and I cannot praise her enough for her work and just overall vibe. I planned my wedding from out of state and searched online for recommendations and reviews for hair and makeup artists. A lot of the people I reached out to just emailed me a pricing list, but I found it really important to have a phone conversation about what I wanted and also to get a sense of personality. After all, they’re basically an extension of your bridal party that day since you’re with them for several hours in the morning of your wedding! After my first chat with Claire I knew I wanted to work with her and her pricing was well within the same range of the other quotes I was getting.

I wear makeup everyday, but I’m a very never-worn-fake-eyelashes-before kind of plain Jane. I didn’t want to look overdone on my wedding day to the point where my husband didn’t recognize me and she totally got that. I did a couple trials for hair and make up with Claire and KC and we made changes along the way. They were so easy to talk to and get along with it and everyone looked and felt beautiful on our wedding day. Even my mom, who was dead set against having her makeup done, was soooo excited how it turned out. Subtle yet elegant and enough to hold for the full (very warm) day. She looked and felt absolutely beautiful, which made me feel amazing. My advice for brides that don’t wear a ton of makeup is to speak up. Claire totally listens to what you want and you can tell she really loves what she does. She’s the sweetest person and you’ll be so excited, lucky and overall thrilled to work with her!

Lucky to have had Claire share in our day

I am so thankful that I found Claire to do the hair and makeup services. Claire was responsive, sweet, and accommodating. She was transparent with all of her pricing and services from the start. She is beyond talented with her makeup skills as my bridesmaids helped me find her just from the photos of her work. At the trial, she was super professional. She took photos and notes, and forwarded it to make sure we were on the same page. I also wanted to add that she did great with our Asian eye shapes!! Claire was so accommodating about all of the changes I threw at her up until less than a week before the wedding. She is so sweet and her and her team, KC and Megan, made all of the girls feel comfortable reassuring us that we were in good hands on the wedding day. I had a huge bridal party with 12 of us getting our hair and/or makeup done, including our mothers, which made me nervous about timing for the day. However, we were ahead of schedule at one point! We ended with plenty of time for photos with our photographer. I am so glad Claire and her team spent the morning with us and I would 100% recommend her to anyone who wants a worry free experience!

Claire is the most amazing makeup artist, not only is her talent unreal, but she also has a way of making you feel at ease on what can be a very stressful day. She is so sweet and cares so much about how you truly feel on the most special day of your life. I can not recommend Claire more, hire her, you will be so glad you did!

Beyond amazing

Claire did my make up for my wedding in October and I am beyond blown away by how great she was! She is very talented! She was caring, kind, and helped make my wedding day less stressful. She listened to what I was looking for as well as make helpful suggestions which helped make me feel and look gorgeous on my wedding day! If Im ever in San Diego for another special occasion I’ll definitely be using her!

I was lucky to find Claire when I was a bridesmaid! I loved how well she understood what I wanted, and her prices were very reasonable for my own budget. I was already engaged at the time and immediately requested her for my wedding too! She also came to my apartment the day of my engagement photoshoot to do my wedding trial, which was also perfect! I don't ever wear more than some eyeshadow and mascara, so having my makeup done is pretty foreign to me. Claire did a great job explaining everything and made the whole process easy and comfortable. I loved my all matte, natural look! Overall very happy with my choice of makeup artist and I'm going to insist that all 6 of my unmarried bridesmaids consider her for their future weddings! 10/10 would definitely recommend!!! You won't regret it :)

The best makeup artist!

Claire has done my makeup for a wedding in the past, and as I started planning my own wedding I knew I wanted her to do my makeup. She is such a pleasure to work with, and she was so accommodating during the whole process. As someone who doesn’t wear makeup day to day, I often feel uncomfortable when I have it done but Claire made me feel beautiful at my wedding, and it lasted the entire day. I would recommend her to anyone!

Absalute Pleasure!

Working with Clair Alyse Makeup was an absalute pleasure. I was so impressed by the quality of Clair’s products how organized she was. Right away I felt I was with a professional. Incredibly Talented & Sweet- Claire is a MUST for your wedding!

I had never had my makeup professionally done and was SO worried about looking too done-up. Claire listened and adapted to exactly what I wanted. She was so wonderful to work with. Patient, kind, encouraging...she made me feel like a princess on my wedding day and I couldn't be happier with how my makeup turned out! She also did my mom (who was so nervous to also get her makeup done for the first time) and had just a tasteful approach to doing different ages, skin tones, etc. Claire came to our house for both my trial and the wedding day and was early both times. I trusted her implicitly with myself, my mom and my bridesmaids!

Claire and her assistant did the most amazing job on mine and my bridesmaid makeup for my wedding in November!! It was exactly what I wanted. Everyone looked so natural and had a beautiful glow. My bridesmaids loved her so much one of them booked Claire for her own wedding.

Not only did Claire do the best job, she was beyond sweet and accommodating. I was in a little bit of a panic while getting my makeup done (my wedding dress was somehow missing and no one knew where it was :/) and Claire kept me on track and focused. She helped me not completely start to freak out.

I would recommend her to anyone!!

I absolutely loved working with Claire on my big day! She came highly recommended from one of my bridesmaids and I knew from the moment I saw her work that she would be perfect. She is so thoughtful and sweet, and drove all the way up to me in Orange County for both my trial and my wedding day! She alone did myself, my six bridesmaids, and my mom on the big day and was totally on-time, professional, and fun and absolutely everyone just glowed! Claire and her team did an amazing job for my November wedding! She made me look fabulous, fresh faced (I got zero sleep the night before!) and gorgeous for my wedding day! She also did the make-up for my bridesmaids and each of them looked stunning- which is especially impressive since each girl has a completely different look/complexion. My mother, who never wears any make-up, also got her make-up done. She looked and felt like a million bucks! Her smile couldn’t have been brighter. Not only is Claire extremely talented but she is a genuinely nice person. I was very nervous on my wedding day and she was kind enough to notice and keep me as calm as she could. I was so lucky to have Claire. Everyone including myself loved and still comment on my makeup. My MOH wishes you did her makeup for her wedding day. She did not like hers and loved what you did. My mom feels the same way too. So many people have had bad experiences with makeup so that is why I only had a few signup and they were nervous. Well, they ended up being the lucky ones because the girls who did not signup regretted it and were fighting for your time. My MOH attends a lot of fancy events and saved your information. I can't wait to use you again and once I get pregnant and book my shower, I am booking you. I cannot thank you enough. XXOO, Client for life :)

Claire is amazing! She is thoughtful and has such a warm heart. Claire is open-minded and listens to her clients. She will also talk through looks that may work best for your event. Claire is diligent in her work and makes sure the makeup she uses is safe for your skin type. I appreciate how she takes into consideration skin tone and has everything a wedding party would need. Claire and her assistant provided make-up for myself, my bridesmaids, and my mother/mother-in-law. I couldn’t have been happier with the results and I know all my ladies were just as satisfied. She has an amazing eye for color and just from one picture I gave as an example captured exactly what I was looking for!!! All of my ladies said she and her assistant were both great at listening to their requests and helped us move throughout the getting-ready period of the day with a calm, collected stress-free attitude. She fit right in to my group of girls and at the end of the experience I felt like I was getting my PHENOMENAL make up done by one of my best friends. She was on time and ahead of schedule. I would highly recommend her – she’s worth every penny!!!!

I am so happy with my decision to use Claire Alyse Makeup for my wedding! I met Claire when she did my makeup for my sister's wedding. Not only is Claire incredibly sweet and fun to talk to while she makes you beautiful, she has an innate talent to exhibit specific makeup looks. I am not experienced when it comes to makeup so my explanation for what I wanted on my wedding day and rehearsal dinner night was probably unclear and yet Claire some how executed exactly what I wanted.
Not only is she a talented artist, she is detail oriented and organized in planning for 7+ girls. She hired an assistant, created a timeline, and was flexible when some of the times conflict with hair schedules. She is an excellent communicator, has affordable prices, and is an overall pleasant person to be around!

Claire and her team were amazing! They did such an outstanding job on 7 girls within 2.5 hours.

I was the bride and had a trial prior to booking, and was impressed on how she matched my skin color/tone on the first try. I told her my wedding style/them, and showed her a picture of my dress and she went to town and achieved such a timeless look that blended so well with everything - the dress, the veil, and accessories.

Claire and Melissa worked on 6 of my girls before getting to me and by the end of everything, each girl was more than impressed. Going into the trial, the girls had their doubts and were unsure on how Claire and Melissa were going to be able to not only work on all their different skin tones, but be able to achieve their desired looks, match them to their dress colors, and complete it all on time with never having even seen photos of the girls. Everyone walked away happy and walked down the aisle proud and confident.

We cannot thank Claire enough for being able to pull all of this off, and for bringing Melissa to provide such outstanding results!

Claire rocks! She is an incredible talent. My best friend used her at her wedding for makeup and when she did I knew one day I had to use her too! I was lucky enough to use her for my own wedding. The make up was flawless, it stayed perfectly put even after hours of dancing. She has a great concept for colors and I am picky. Her price is great and she is wonderful to have with you through the whole wedding process! Thanks Claire, I hope there is another reason soon to get my make up done again!!

Claire was absolutely one of my favorite vendors! She was so responsive from every communication over email and text and was beyond professional and insanely TALENTED! From my bridal trial to the day of, she listened to every one of us and made us all the best versions of ourselves! (isn't that the point to makeup!?) Claire is SO FUN to hang out with and her super chill, relaxed vibe was comforting on the day of the wedding. I am so glad I found Claire! Claire was by far the best decision I made for my wedding and I'm SO incredibly happy I found her. After trying a couple different artists, I finally came across Claire and could not have been happier. She is professional, sweet as can be, with a calm demeanor (exactly what you want on your wedding day), and beyond talented when it comes to making brides and her girls look stunning! All seven of my very picky bridesmaids were each SO happy with their make up and still talk about how great she was even 4 months later! She even stayed longer and went to the venue with us to do touch ups before the ceremony AND even fixed a few of the girls faces that were done by another artist (not affiliated with Claire). Our makeup stayed on and looked fabulous ALL night long even after hours of tearing up the dance floor! She listens to your wants and needs, and adds suggestions when you'd like as well. I just LOVE LOVE LOVE Claire and could not have been more happy. I will definitely be using her for future family photos and engagements that I want to feel extra beautiful!

I cannot say enough positive amazing things about Claire! I was so particular about who did my makeup and spent a lot of time vetting vendors. When I found Claire, I felt overjoyed! Her portfolio and talent is simply the best! Claire was so incredibly responsive and answered all my questions. It was an absolute joy working with her to make my wedding day the best ever and helping achieve my wedding day look!

Claire is incredibly professional but also so friendly! We did my makeup trial in December of 2016 and it was so fun getting to know her and see her show me what my makeup would look like. Not only did it look amazing, it held up the entire day as if it was just done moments earlier. For our actual wedding day which was February 25, 2017, it was so fun to see Claire again and once again the makeup turned out simply stunning.

Simply put: Claire is the one and only makeup artist I would ever trust to do my wedding makeup. It's been a month since my wedding and has taken me this long to write my review because the task is daunting...how could I put into words the true artistry and unbelievable professionalism this gorgeous woman provides?!? Claire is great. I couldn't have been happier with my makeup and my bridesmaids and MIL makeup on my wedding day. Somehow she managed to make me look beautiful and radiant although I was 13 weeks pregnant at the time and suffering from major morning sickness and 3 hrs of sleep, she make me look great through that! The make up reflects well through photos, my husband loved it (he's the guy who didn't want me to wear any makeup on our wedding day....) it was natural look. She is pricey but well, well worth it. She's easy to work with, fun to talk to, and flexible. I look forward to using her again in the future for parties/events/etc.

Claire and her friend/business partner Jaslynn (who does hair) did me and my bridal party's hair and makeup for my November wedding. Not only were they happy to travel out to Ramona, but they were so so sweet and did amazing work. We all looked exactly as we envisioned and I could not have been happier with their services! I can't say until good things about Claire and her assistant Lucky on the big day. They both were so incredibly cool, sweet and fun to be around- and on top of that, they do amazing work! Claire was an absolute pleasure to work with from the moment she responded to my inquiry via email- she made the time to do a trial on her way home from another wedding pretty far away from her house and spent the time needed to understand my vision for the big day and get to know me personally- even after having spent the entire day at a wedding right before.

When they arrived at the hotel for the wedding, I've never felt more at ease- they both started working on the girls immediately and really took the time to understand how they wanted to look on the wedding day. They worked with many different complexions and everyone's makeup (both regular foundation and air brush) looked flawless.

Claire is THE BEST- I really can't express how much I appreciated her ability to do an amazing job on makeup, as well as her incredible personality which just made the entire makeup process so fun. I highly recommend her for all your wedding makeup needs, and beyond, whether your in Los Angeles, Malibu, San Diego, etc. she will make it work and it's SO worth it!! As a bride, it meant more than I can express in words to have somebody working on one of the most important parts of the day and feel 100% confident the entire time. Thanks Claire!!!

If you are looking for a makeup artist to do your makeup for your wedding day, no need to look further if you have come across Claire Alyse in your research, and she is available for your special day. She is SO incredibly talented. She recently did my makeup for both my engagement shoot and my wedding day and I have never more beautiful. In the past when I have got my makeup done there is always something I want to change even if it's just something small. With Claire there is not a thing I wanted to change about my makeup for both my engagement shoot and my wedding day. My bridesmaids could not have been happier as well with their makeup and everyone received numerous compliments about how good their makeup looked from wedding guests/friends. My wedding day nerves started to sink in as Claire was finishing up my makeup and she was the perfect person to have to help calm me down and was super patient with me as I needed to take a few deep breathes. From my first email inquiring about pricing to the second I left to say "I do" she was responsive, accommodating and professional. Not only is she a wonderful artist but she is equally as wonderful a person. Claire is truly the ultimate make-up professional and wedding day extraordinaire. Make-up wise, Claire did two trials to confirm the exact look I had in mind for my wedding day. As I normally don't wear a lot of make-up, she guided me towards the natural look I was looking for and also included that touch of glam I wanted on my wedding day! On my wedding day, not only was MY make-up flawless, but my bridal party looked stunning as well! Claire knew how to highlight each bridesmaid's naturally gorgeous features while keeping the overall bridal party look consistent with a day-time glam look. I can't tell you how amazing Claire is! We lucked out because my husband knew her through mutual friends and it's been such a great, easy, pleasurable experience working with her. She took time out of her busy schedule to do a trial for my engagement shoot which was so nice to get a feel for what I wanted on my wedding day in Lake Tahoe. She also gave me some great recs for skin care products that I love and will continue to use. Claire is also extremely responsive to every email and text I sent. Claire was absolutely wonderful! I found Claire about 8 months before my wedding and had her do my makeup for both the wedding and engagement pictures. I live 3 hours away in Arizona and she was very accommodating to my schedule. I loved everything about my makeup and she really listened to what I wanted and what my bridesmaids wanted. Claire was so wonderful for my wedding in Del Mar. I usually don't wear makeup on a daily basis so I had concerns about who to hire for my special day. Claire was great! She was super professional and even traveled to my house to do my makeup trial. I had put off finding a makeup artist for my wedding and had a trial with another artist about a month or so before my wedding and it didn't go well. I was in a rush to find another artist but also hesitant too since my last makeup trial didn't go well. I was so happy I found Claire, she listened to exactly what I wanted and put a significant amount of makeup on however it looked completely natural and not over done. On the day of the wedding she was on time and brought an assistant. I had 7 people get their makeup done including me and everyone looked great. My makeup was even better than my trial and all the other girls loved their makeup too. Claire requires that you give her a deposit to book her and then you pay the full amount I believe two weeks before the wedding. I cannot tell you how helpful this is to pay ahead of time. The day of the wedding there is so much going on and it was so nice to already know this is taken care. Overall, I was super happy with Claire and highly recommend her to anyone looking to get their makeup done!

I had the pleasure of meeting Claire on a friends photoshoot where she did my makeup. She did such an amazing job that I held onto her business card for over a year. I highly recommend Claire for your wedding day or any important day makeup needs! Claire did my makeup for my wedding and for my sister’s wedding as well! She did a fantastic job for both weddings! What sets Claire apart from many other makeup artists is her outstanding professionalism and her ability to create the look the client wants! I was very pleased Claire was able to do my trial at my home in Pasadena, regardless of being San Diego and Orange County based. When I hired Claire for my wedding she sent me a very well drafted contract that reassured me that I was hiring someone reliable on one of the biggest days of my life. It was a huge relief to know my makeup was being done by someone who was not only extremely talented but also very professional! Claire is very professional and comes with top quality skill. I would hire her again in a heartbeat. She will move things around or get up earlier if need be to accomodate you and the best part is that she doesn't even mention her extra mile. I only found out by asking questions in conversation. She did my makeup and hair for my engagement photos and I've never felt more beautiful. The pictures turned out spectacular and at that moment I wished I could have her do my makeup everyday! She was always very responsive to email, prompt and professional. On my wedding day, Claire and her wonderful assistant did makeup for myself, 6 bridesmaids, two mothers and were even kind enough to put some gloss on the flower girls. They showed up with plenty of time to get set up and went straight to work. It was seamless and we were all ready on time and looking spectacular. Everyone was so pleased with their makeup and the looks were flawless all day. Even after dancing through midnight, my makeup was in tact! I highly recommend Claire and am so thankful that I found her for my big day! Thank you!

We are Asians and we know the tricky situation that might happen when we work with non-Asian vendor.
What we want is typical Asian style that they don't really know in usual.
We had some difficulties at the beginning, and we worried a lot. However, we brought some Asian colored cosmetics & tools and we finally made it. We loved the makeup and hair, and I was very impressed by how she looks like. Thank you for your service.
