Whitney Events is the Best of the Best!!
I had the wedding of my dreams, and it would not have been possible without Christina and her team. The venue I chose is not the easiest to navigate, but with Christinas expertise she helped me build a team of vendors that absolutely knocked it out of the park. Christina has connections to the best vendors in the tri-state area (and beyond) and knows exactly which ones to use to make your vision come to life. I can honestly say from the first phone call with Christina, I knew my wedding was in the most capable hands, and not one detail was overlooked. Christina respected my budget, respected my time and was always available to answer any question or give her expert opinion when asked. The day of timeline she made for our Wedding was planned down to the minute and ensured an absolutely seamless wedding day for me and my groom. Jen was with me every step of the way on the day of and guided my family and wedding party seamlessly as well. My dad is a corporate event planner and we decided early on that he was going to enjoy the process with me and not "work the event", he agreed hiring Whitney Events was the best decision we could have made. Christina and Jen are the definition of a dream team, you will not regret hiring them for your big day! -

Top notch professionals
Words cannot describe how happy I am to have hired Whitney Events for my wedding. I was only looking for a day-of coordinator, but they went way beyond their contracted duties and made my event flow even better than I had hoped. They were able to predict potential disaster areas (which I was able to avoid thanks to their advice!). They worked flawlessly and professionally with all the vendors I had already hired, made excellent recommendations for the remainder we needed, kept everything on time, and even the groom commented how effective they were. Communication was always quick, efficient, and to the point. A perfect planner for any busy New Yorker. Would hire again for another event without question. -

Seamless Execution Creating A Completely Relaxed Bride
Christina and her team were amazing! They completely captured my vision and personal elements combined with the right people and details to make it all come together seamlessly. From flowers & table settings down to the flow of how I wanted the speeches, they made it all work perfectly. From the beginning of the planning process, they made it so easy to narrow down vendors. They got an understanding of what we were looking for then sent us recommendations for venues, florists, bands and photographers. It made it so much less overwhelming planning a wedding in NYC. Communication was so easy, and they are completely responsive; an email late at night or a quick text always got a response. We chatted on a regular base to make sure everything was on track. They set up payment trackers and deadlines and made everything readily available in a shared drive. Our wedding day went off without a hitch! Everything was exactly where it was supposed to be and all the vendors were taken care of. I could completely enjoy the day, just as the bride! :-) I give Whitney Events my highest recommendation for any bride or groom getting ready to plan their special day!! -

Very Happy with Whitney Events!
Christina and Jen were an absolute pleasure to work with and we are thankful to them for making our wedding so special and actually a joy to plan. We were on the fence originally about whether to hire a wedding planner and soon after making the decision to hire Whitney Events it was clear we made a good decision.
They are very organized and keep you on track as your wedding day approaches. They have lists of what you should be considering 13 months out, 12 months out, 11 months out, etc and are in regular contact with you (and very responsive when you reach out) to help you slowly but surely take care of everything you need to in preparation for the wedding. It was so helpful knowing that someone was there to keep track of every detail, which meant we never had to worry about missing anything.
Most importantly, they plan for and handle all of the little details that you never would have thought of during the last month and on the wedding day itself. On top of that, they add such a personal touch to everything and they really understood who we were as a couple. Thanks to Christina and Jen we were able to sit back and enjoy our wedding and didn't need to stress over logistics. We would highly recommend working with Whitney Events! -

Best Money We Ever Spent!
When planning our only daughter's wedding the BEST decision we made was hiring Whitney Events! Christina and her team (Jennifer & Cory) were worth every penny we spent!!!
The venue our daughter and her fiancé choose is probably the rawest space that anyone has ever seen and definitely not your normal wedding backdrop. With an extremely raw industrial venue there were challenges throughout the planning process and even more challenges on the day of the actual event. But that's were the Whitney Events team performs at their best!!! Because they are so skilled at what they do my husband and I were able to truly enjoy the entire day because we knew we were in good hands. Whitney Events had everything, and I mean everything, under control which allowed us time to dance, mingle with family and friends, and truly enjoy one of the biggest events in our lives!!
They are a professional team who guide you through the entire planning process, they are masters at maneuvering through any obstacles that arise and with their years of experience they make it all look so easy!!! In addition, Christina has a huge network of vendors at her finger tips that can provide just about anything you need to add any special touches to your day!
Whitney Events brought together the wedding of our daughter's dream in the rawest space ever!!! We owe the success of our daughter's wedding to Whitney Events!!! We could never have done it without them!!!
If you are thinking about hiring an event planner to ensure that your wedding day is truly everything you ever envisioned then you need Whitney Events!!! Christina and her team will not disappoint!! Best money we ever spent!!!

A huge thanks for the perfect wedding
I cannot express to anyone how ESSENTIAL + VITAL it was to choose Whitney Events for our wedding planning + coordinating + day of go-getters. Let me start off by saying that our venue was super challenging + tough to navigate. Christina & Jennifer remained calm + cool during EVERY moment of chaos. They had our vision down to a tee + took TOTAL control. Every last detail. They knew exactly where everything needed to be placed. The two of them were so organized that it only helped us organize ourselves even better. My ENTIRE family is at a loss for words for our wedding day, and so are we. Whitney Events is not only super experienced but they care so much. They were so determined + passionate + talented- I am blown away about how lucky we got to have them. Christina, Jennifer, and Rachael (Rachael is from Sterling Affairs Caterers ) created the most perfect wedding day for us. I'm serious. From start to finish- not a thing went wrong. Jennifer was with me all day as I took photos. She kept us on our timeline + also was nothing but great energy for our big day. Jennifer also happened to make us our dream wedding cake. Put so much effort into making it how I imagined it. Fresh banana cake ( our favorite!) with caramel sea salt buttercream decorated with figs,berries, + gold foil. It was insane.
Christina, ran around literally hustled around the entire venue ( did I mention it is a factory!? so many floors, rooms, decor, outdoors, parking etc) + when our space was revealed to both Phil + I, everything was exactly what we wanted- AND BETTER. Rachel from Sterling Affairs + staff were OUT OF THIS WORLD. My family cannot get over that 240+ people got not only delicious food but HOT FOOD. I had multiple guests in the restaurant + service industry who speak nothing but the truth, they are still talking about this! Pearl + Nancy (apart of Sterling staff) took care of Phil + I the entire night. We had everything we needed. Without Whitney Events, we would have never found the hands down, best wedding food I have ever had. Please, if you do yourself one favor, hire this army to help you. I felt like the only woman on the planet who really had a tough time enjoying wedding planning. Truly hated thinking about all the things I had to do/answer to/decide on/pay for etc... Whitney Events honestly saved us in a way I could never repay them for. Phil and I are so convinced we threw the most EPIC wedding ever and I owe them 100 more reviews because this could never be enough. If we could do it again, we would want to be guests this time at our wedding! Let them take so much weight off your shoulders. It was the biggest gift to all of us to have been given the chance to be entirely present for this whole day. I felt our day lasted hours and hours and hours. It was because I had this army who gave us not a thing to worry about! I could go on forever. Whitney Events + Sterling Affair Caterers was the best investment we made. They are forever considered friends of this family. -

Our wedding day was incredible, the Whitney Events team took care of everything and made us feel so special and spoiled! While there are many people to thank who contributed to helping make that day beyond our wildest dreams, we have to highlight one person who worked so egregiously hard to make everything happen and that person is Christina from Whitney Events. Christina has been unbelievable. Christina has calmed us down during every conversation, she has told us the right move to make, she has been loving, caring and authoritative. Honestly, she's just incredible. Everything our guests and my wife (!!) and I got to experience would not have happened without Christina being the way she is. We love her so much and are so appreciative. I feel like I could write a novel about how talented, creative and solutions-driven she is but I'm sure there's a character limit here, so...thank you. -

Whitney Events = the BEST INVESTMENT of my entire wedding!
I cannot say enough great things about Christina, Jen and the Whitney Events Team!! They are total pros. I joke that they could write a book about my wedding (we got married in July of 2019) as it was probably the most challenging wedding. Ever. But in all honesty, our wedding would never have happened without Christina and our wedding day ended up being more perfect than I could ever have imagined. It was the BEST day of our lives and I don't think I've ever been happier and filled with so much love and gratitude than on that day.
I'm the bride who has been envisioning her wedding day since she was five years old. I couldn't wait to experience the excitement of planning every detail and imagining a stress-free, well-organized several months leading up to the big day because I would be "on top" of everything, ahead of schedule! All of my vendors were booked 18 months out (Whitney Events was at the top of the vendor list) and I had my checklist of everything that needed to be done every week of every month. Fast-forward to the end of April, the Parisian-themed Bridal Shower that the Whitney Events team planned was incredible and so "Me" - all of my guests were blown away - it set the tone for what to expect and look forward to during the wedding weekend in July and I was thrilled! What happened next, actually feels ...surreal.
The week following my bridal shower, we found out that our wedding venue, that I booked 16 months prior, what I had envisioned for my black tie mansion wedding and actually had been a great find because it checked the boxes for so many things we needed, could no longer host us due to construction delays. With eight weeks to go, we had to find a new venue for 4th of July Weekend (the busiest weekend of the year), a caterer, rentals, a new block of rooms for our entire bridal party and families, shuttles, a new after party location and new brunch location. That same day we came home to a package - our beautiful invitations arrived ready to be stamped and mailed (including all of the - now - wrong information) - talk about adding salt to the wounds! And later that week, I found out that the company I worked for was about to be acquired, and it was unclear if I'd have a job by the time the wedding rolled around. So, with stress at an all-time high, wondering where we were going to have a wedding, how we were going to feed and lodge our guests, and, now, how we were actually going to pay for the wedding, we moved everything we saved for the wedding over to our Emergency Fund and then had a panic attack.
Now, I realized from the beginning that Christina knows her stuff, she has the experience, the best relationships with partners/venues/vendors, a great eye for style and detail and creates incredible events - I knew she would be the only person I could trust to actually pull off my dream wedding. But I cannot express how much more important she became in our lives. From the moment we heard about the venue through all the job uncertainty, she remained calm and level-headed. She was our rock and our trusted advisor, always five steps ahead of us guiding us along the way until eventually...we saw the light. She negotiated like the badass boss she is, fought and pushed for us as we worked out a displacement fee and started planning our wedding all over again. She and Jen made extra trips out to see us to do site visits of all the venues that were still available, they drew up cost comparisons on four of them - essentially four completely new wedding price options. They set up calls with caterers and phoned in favors with their preferred vendors to do everything they could for their couple who just lost their venue and a Bride who was on the verge of losing her job...and quite possibly on the verge of a nervous breakdown. Christina made herself available, however many times a day, to listen, to let me vent, to let me cry, to be there for us. She was the first to tell me that what I was feeling was normal or if I was overthinking or if I just needed to calm down and breathe. I could always count on her to be honest with me and I greatly appreciated her opinions on where we should spend our money and where she felt it would be a waste or go unnoticed.
Four weeks out from our wedding, we still didn't have a venue, but Christina came up with a never-before-seen solution: we sent reprinted invitations that said "Surprise Location...visit our website to find out where we're getting married" to buy us time because we were waiting to find out if our top venue choice could obtain their entertainment license in time. We signed with them a couple days later just in time to add their details to our website as guests opened up our invitations. Two weeks before the wedding, we signed with our caterer (no time for a tasting). The week of my wedding, my company was officially acquired and I found out that I would transition over to the new company. I still had a job!
Our wedding weekend was a whirlwind and AMAZING. My husband and I had never experienced as much stress in our lives as we did in those eight weeks and while we received so much outreach, love and support from family and friends, it was Christina and the Whitney Events Team that got us through it all. We are incredibly grateful and we don't think we'll ever be able to properly thank them enough! Hiring Whitney Events will be one of the best and smartest investments you'll make for your wedding, hands down.-

Best wedding planners EVER!
I would recommend Whitney Events to anyone getting married! Christina and Jennifer were so incredibly helpful to me from our first conversation through days after the wedding.
I had no idea that “month of” planners existed until they were recommended to me and looking back, I don’t know what I would have done without them.
Christina was so on top of everyone (including me) that I have no idea how she was handling anything else at the same time. She really dedicated herself to making sure everything was perfect and went smoothly.
There were many times that I felt they just went above and beyond to help coordinate and make sure the day went off without a hitch, and I so appreciated that because I could not keep track of anything myself!
Not only were they professional and helpful, they are both just super sweet and awesome and amazing to deal with. They had really great insights and advice for me throughout the entire process. If I had an idea that really didn’t make sense- they told me- even if it meant less money for them, which showed me they were honest and really cared. They are just amazing and I loved working with them! -

Great experience with Whitney Events!
Whitney Events was spectacular! We already had our venue and band booked when we hired them but they helped with everything else. As my husband and I have difficulty making decisions sometimes, we found it very helpful to have Whitney Events suggest vendors that they work with and trust and then we could narrow it down to the ones who would be perfect for us. We were very happy with every vendor they recommended (florist, hair, makeup, invitations). Having their expertise especially in the month prior to the wedding when you are nailing down all the details was a big help. We didn't need to worry about those details because they had it all under control.
Our wedding day was perfect and everything went smoothly. Christina and Jen were there to make sure shuttles, speeches, etc. were on time and we didn't give a thought to it. We were supposed to have our ceremony take place outside but due to rain we ended up having it inside but I never even cared or thought about it because they handled everything and made sure that the ceremony indoors was absolutely gorgeous.
They were also a big help in figuring out what to do for our favors. Jen ended up baking blueberry muffins, including glutenfree, and helped us find really cute packaging for them. Everyone loved it and the muffins were delicious.
Christina and Jen are professional, kind, hard-working, attentive to detail, and great to work with. We 100% recommend them! -

Perfect choice for a perfect event
We are able to say without hesitation that Whitney Events is THE choice for your flawless event.
Christina and team were with us right from the start of our planning process. We had some very lofty goals and Christina helped us to achieve them. We threw plenty of challenges her way, such as changing our venue halfway through the planning process to a different state she had not previously worked in, and they were all handled seamlessly.
Christina has great connections not only in the New York area but throughout the Northeast. The vendors that she is able to put you in touch with will only make your wedding that much better. She has very high standards for who she chooses to work with. As you will learn working with her, she likes to get things done and selects vendors who are the same way. She has a very impressive way of directing an entire team of people to pull off an amazing event.
Where Christina and her team really shined was on the day of the event. We didn't worry about ANYTHING. We were able to totally relax and experience the pure bliss of our wedding. We had 3 different musical performers, 3 different caterers, and 200 guests in the middle of a field with no water or electricity and it went off without a hitch. We are sure that behind the scenes there was a lot of running around and coordinating going on, but we didn't feel any stress whatsoever. We were able to rest easy with full confidence, spend time with the people we love the most, and dance the night away. Thank you Christina and team!! -

wonderful wedding planners!
Christina and Jen did an amazing job of making our dream wedding a reality! From the moment we first met with Christina, they were helpful and thoughtful and ready to guide us. They seem to know every venue and vendor in the city. They provided detailed, handy timelines and instructions, and were consistently checking in to make sure we kept on schedule and didn't have any questions or issues (and when we did have worries, they did a great job of calming us down). They were full of fun suggestions to make our wedding special, and when we had unusual ideas of our own, they always came through with ways to execute them. On the day of the event, they took complete charge of all the vendors and logistics so that we could focus on having the best day ever... which we did. Even after the wedding, they have kept in touch both to get feedback about the night and simply as friends. We definitely recommend them to everyone! -

Professional and Thorough
The team was brought in fairly late because we thought we could do it all on our own (I know, I know). They got up to speed quickly, worked with some of our more "particular" vendors, and added nice touches and details that made the day very special. After our first meeting, we knew we could breathe easier knowing Whitney Events was running point. Thanks for all the help! -

Christina is organized, professional, and a ton of fun to work with. She handled all of my day- of coordination, attended site visits to the venue, provided advice on vendors, and designed and printed menus and a name board for us, both of which were stunning. She went above and beyond and was an absolute God-send during the entire process. She had planned my sister's wedding in 2014 and was just as wonderful as I remembered her being. I cant describe how fortunate we were to find Christina Whitney to plan our wedding. We met with her at a Starbucks near our place, had a getting to know you conversation, and heard about what she and the rest of Whitney Events NY could offer. My now husband had aspirations to plan our wedding himself (since I was finishing my residency and wanted a much smaller event) that he was hesitant about hiring a planner at all. That lasted for exactly the length of our meeting. She was so professional and put together and had a personality that we knew would mesh amazingly with ours (as well as similar musical tastes). We walked out of the Starbucks, looked at each other and said "she's the one" and immediately turned back inside to hire her! From that day on Christina was so helpful and flexible, easily reached by phone, text or email. Our wedding wasn't held at a traditional hall and we had SIX locations on our wedding timeline! Due to Christina’s incredible knack for timing we made it to all our locations, were able to take all the pictures we we wanted, enjoy our cocktail hour and even eat at our reception, with time to spare! Christina’s experience with vendors, contracts and NY really helped us navigate all of the details and options, pros/cons without abandoning her sense of reality from experience and our budget. There was HUGE value in having someone knowledgeable in both the catering and wedding industry to ask questions, navigate and negotiate options, and plan for details we didn’t even know existed. All of the vendors she recommended to us were incredible, affordable and a true pleasure to work with. Our wedding day went off without a hitch an and there is no doubt in our minds this wouldn't have been possible without Christina! -

I wanted to write this review to possibly help those of you about to get married as working with Christina and Whitney Events was an absolute pleasure. My wife and I basically turned our wedding over to Christina with about a month to go and were able to really enjoy that time while she handled all of the logistics. The wedding day itself went incredibly smoothly as she handled all of the various issues that presented themselves so we could truly enjoy our day. She is a real professional and ran the show from start to finish. We had some issues post wedding as well on the billing front and she didn't shy away from those either. Full service! Christina is my new best friend!!! :))) Okay in all seriousness, she's the best planner anyone can ask for, in my own humble opinion. Initially, I was planning on hiring a Day Of Coordinator, but given that our wedding timeline was pretty short (we got engaged in December and wanted to get married only a few months later, in July), I figured it would be best to hire her as a partial planner. I would've definitely hired her as a full planner but since we already had the venue picked out and I had already bought my dress, a partial planner made more sense in this case. She didn't feel like a partial planner though, not at all. She felt like she was my own personal planner and best friend, as if she didn't have anyone else's wedding to plan but mine :) That's not true of course lol but that's how special she made me feel, like I was the most important bride. Christina is truly amazing. She is super professional, soooo organized and on top of things, and she made my life so much easier since I'm super organized myself and have OCD tendencies since I have different lists for everything in my life! Lol. I feel like we definitely complimented each other since we both communicated in list-form all the time :) which I can tell was heaven for both of us! Haha. I'm honestly so grateful to have found her. She always provided the best advice throughout the whole process and I always trusted her judgement. She has a very positive attitude, was always calm and collected, and always had a solution for everything. She even went along with all my quirky and wacky ideas for the wedding too! :) I really recommend hiring Whitney Events to plan your wedding as Christina and her assistant Jen are the absolute best!!! -

Christina was a pleasure to work with and I cannot recommend her enough! We hired her as a "day of coordinator," but her work exceeded far beyond "day of." From the moment we hired Christina, she was easily available via email and phone to answer any questions or concerns we had during the planning phase. She helped us select our rentals (and double-checked everything to make sure we ordered exactly what we needed!), came up with an extremely detailed day-of timeline, made sure we had our ideal floorplan, and coordinated all timing and logistics with our vendors as we approached our wedding.
Christina is always one step ahead and thinks of every little detail to ensure the day will run smoothly. She has so much patience and will go above and beyond to make sure you're happy. I honestly don't know how we would have managed without her! -

We used Whitney Events to plan my daughter's wedding in May and could not be happier with this company! She is not only a lovely person, nut extremely well organized and knew how to take charge on the day of the event. Since I live in LA and the wedding was in Nyc, having a wedding planner was a necessity. What I didn't realize was how important the planner was on the day of the wedding. She absolutely allowed us all to relax and enjoy this most special day in all of our lives. We cannot think of one thing we would have done differently for the wedding. Christina was *meant to be our wedding coordinator* -- after meeting with her knowing that she had done coordination at our venue before, it turned out that she was somehow mutual friends with my make-up artist, and I can't remember the other coincidence but you'll have to take my word for it. She went far above and beyond what I had anticipated she would do, and was super patient with me throughout. I loved her down-to-earth, calm and authoritative (but not authoritarian or bossy) demeanor and her dry sense of humor, especially given our wacky ideas -- all that she went with & totally backed us up on! The wedding really was beyond our expectations; we kind of thought it'd look the budget (which was probably not as flexible as many others who marry in NYC!) but thanks to Christina's killer instincts we just felt so at ease and it looked A-MAZING. First things first, not to bury the lede: I’m pretty sure Christina Whitney saved us at least $20,000 - $30,000.
Backstory:
Turns out that planning a no-frills, minimalist wedding in Manhattan is as hard, or harder, than planning a traditional one!
We wanted our wedding to be a big loft cocktail party, with a 20-minute ceremony in the middle somewhere. Late night, no dinner, no cake, some snacks, little-to-no decorations, a full bar, great music, and a packed dance floor. That’s it.
When we were trying to plan it alone… we had trouble finding vendors, since they all wanted to make us have dinner/heavy appetizers/decorations/big floral arrangements/etc. And we were majorly hesitant to shell out $$$ on things we *didn’t even want.*
But we honestly almost bought into all of that, simply because we thought we’d wouldn’t find a different way.
However, enter Ms. Christina Whitney to (literally) save the day!
She was the first Planner we met, and instantly knew she “got” us. She was no-pressure, understood what we were after, and gave us some great ideas. We knew she wouldn’t try to force-fit us into the (often way too expensive) Industrial Wedding Complex mold.
She called up her *own friends* to do our charcuterie boards and floral arrangements, who jumped in for our plan and budget! Mixing friends and business is always risky, so we’re immensely grateful she went out on a limb for us.
At the last minute, we found out our DJ didn’t have a microphone set up for the ceremony and I nearly fainted at the thought of having to scream our vows over a crowd. I do not know how Christina fixed this, but darn-straight she got us a mic… and I didn’t faint.
Honestly, whether you have the big, traditional dream wedding, a picnic in the park, an elaborate brunch, or a big loft party like ours, Christina will pull it off. And she’ll do it on budget, calmly, firmly, & with attention.

I have found Whitney events on this website and I'm absolutely happy that Christina was our wedding planner. We planned our wedding long distance from Kazakhstan. So it wasn't so easy because of the time difference and language. But Christina is absolutely amazing and very professional. We felt very confident in her services and absolutely had no stress. One of the factors that differentiated Christina from other month-of planners was she reviewed all of our vendor contracts at the very beginning of the process. Not only did she end up saving us a lot of money by catching discrepancies between our catering and venue, but she and her team were totally aware of where we stood and could make pointed suggestions to fill our remaining gaps. They didn't just show up a month out and say...ok debrief me...like I'd seen with many of my friends who hired month-of planners. We also hugely appreciated that she attended our venue walkthrough and florist meeting which were earlier in the summer so she/the team were on the same page as us. Again, all of our vendors commented how on top of the details and responsive Christina was. Huge thanks from my husband and I. -

Don't even think twice about booking Christina. She's amazing, organized and very professional. I'm sooo glad I hired a wedding planner ( I did the partial planning package). I thought I was going to be a bridezilla throughout the process of planning my wedding, but I ended up being calm and carefree. I would highly recommend booking Whitney events and I believe I found her via wedding wire, so I'm paying it forward to the next bride by writing this review. ;) Just do yourself a favor by spending a little extra money on a planner. Christina was our full time planner and so she helped us throughout the entire wedding planning process. We were not the easiest of customers so the fact that she was able to juggle both of us says a lot. She helped us execute our ideas and she had some really great ideas herself that we ended up using. Christina is absolutely amazing. I planned my wedding long distance (from Boston) and I could not have done it without her help.
First of all, her personality and can do attitude is contagious and makes every wedding planning "hiccup" seem like nothing. I loved her meticulousness and organization- which allowed me to focus on finishing studying for my board exam while knowing that the planning was getting taken care of. She was super understanding of my time constraints given my crazy work schedule.
She helped us plan the most amazing wedding. From advice about the decor, lighting, flowers, she was candid and offered much needed advice. She has vendors that she recommends because of her experience with them, but is not pushy to try to get you to sign a contract w them.
I owe her my sanity for everything that she did during the week of the wedding. She coordinated all of the vendors the few days before the weeding. The schedule she created (and dispersed to everyone) allowed us to relax and enjoy the wedding and not worry about timelines and organization. I felt incredibly confident in her services.
I would book her again, and again. She is fantastic. Do not hesitate.

We hired Christina one month before our wedding, and it was the best decision we could have ever made. She is extremely organized and made sure we had everything in order prior to our wedding, asking thoughtful questions (many of which we didn't even think about prior to her asking), and following up appropriately with all of our vendors. She was also a lifesaver 10 times over on the day of. There were a lot of nuances with our wedding, given that I'm Korean and my husband is Chinese, and we also had a lot of last minute guest cancellations and additions (which is pretty common in Asian weddings). Christina and her assistant took care of everything (which was a lot given my 280+ person wedding) seamlessly while I peacefully enjoyed my big day. My husband and I can't thank her and her team enough. The day would not have turned out the way it did (perfectly) without her. She is truly invaluable!! -

I worked with Christina on save the dates and invitations, and she was fantastic! She came to my apartment with huge books filled with invitations. Christina was our day of wedding planner, but she helped us with so much more than that! Our wedding venue was a raw space, so we had to bring everything in ourselves - from the caterer to flowers to linens etc. Christina's background is as a chef, so she definitely knows what she's talking about in that department; she helped us to find the right caterers for us and became the liaison for us from the moment we signed our contract until the day of. Months later, when the caterer needed to do a walk through of the venue with us, Christina joined us. And she offered to come to a meeting with my florist too. I can't imagine any other day of planner being so hands on with a couple as Christina was. I'm not saying she planned the wedding for us (because that's definitely not what we wanted as we had many DIY plans), but when we were at a loss as how to proceed or just needed a sounding board to bounce ideas off of, Christina was always available via email or text.
Two weeks before the event, Christina became the go to person for all the vendors so that I could worry about other last minute details. On the day of, Christina arrived and took the reins of everything - from putting out all our DIY decorations to making sure all our vendors received their payment to making sure they knew where to go. We had a minor issue with the venue not approving the seating chart we had come up with with the caterer, but after a few minutes of discussion with me, Christina went and handled the whole situation. I consider myself a pretty calm and well prepared person, but even the most stoic bride can get flustered on the day of - there is so much happening! Christina took a huge burden off my shoulders, starting the moment she arrived, throughout the event and even at the end when she gathered up all our things.
I highly recommend hiring a planner! I was on the fence about it, but 100% no regrets! And of course, that said - Hire Christina! She's the best! -

Hiring Christina was one of the last things I did but I can not be more thankful that i did!! I had planned most of the wedding when I realized what I really needed was someone for the weeks leading up to and day of to make sure the day went off perfectly. That's when I found Christina. I had a great feeling about her from the first meeting. She layed out all the services she provides and assured me it was her job to make sure myself and close family/friends would not have to worry about a thing on the day of. As the wedding approached she was always prompt to get answers and kept my anxiety at a minimum. She went out of her way to help me with whatever I asked, including going out to buy flowers for my rehearsal dinner location last minute when I realized I really didn't have time. To sum up what this review will say in its entirety is that Christina Whitney is amazing.
I hired Christina with just a few months left in my wedding planning. I didn't need her to actually plan my entire wedding, I really needed her the day of. And BOY AM I GLAD SHE WAS THERE. It took off ALL the stress of dealing with the vendors prior, and having to deal with virtually anything the day of. My flowers didn't show on time, and I would have never known. She left my venue to go pick them up. Then, when I hated them, she made sure the florist came and fixed them.
Christina didn't just become my day of coordinator, she became one of my very good friends! If you need help planning, in any stage of your wedding, Christina is your gal! -

Christina, from Whitney Events, was a tremendous help in planning our wedding. Planning a NYC wedding is very challenging and she was able to help us put it all together and make it go as smoothly as possible. From the minute we hired her, she asked that we give her all vendor contacts and contracts and she took control of all communication from there. She is very flexible and will take calls at any hour. The day of the wedding was perfect. I didn't have to worry about anything because I knew she was in complete control. I would highly recommend Whitney Events !!!! -

Christina was great to work with throughout the entire process. My fiance and I had 1 year and 5 months to plan the wedding. We decided to hire Christina because I am sometimes indecisive, we both started new jobs, and I also lost my mom some years ago. I thought having a planner would be helpful and she really proved herself. She came with us to do walk-throughs of venues, came with us to some vendor appointments, and reviewed all contracts before we signed.
A lot of what Christina does is behind the scenes to decrease stress for the bride and groom- she contacts vendors, coordinates a plan for the wedding day, and executes precisely. Our wedding day was fantastic. I recommend Christina due to her confidence, her proven ability to perform, and her calming effect on the bride and groom. She was great! -

Christina, Angelo, and Rita eased my mind through the last month of my wedding planning when my husband and I hired them. They could not have been any more thorough or professional, taking over coordinating with vendors and making sure everything went smoothly leading up to the wedding. They even did the entire ceremony walk-through with us in the basement of the church after our church decided at the last minute they could not do a rehearsal on the agreed-upon date. What could have been a disaster was actually an enjoyable experience because of their tireless dedication. Finally, on the day of, Angelo and Rita were on top of limos, flowers, tips, and all of the essentials. We were on a flexible schedule that kept the day completely stress-free. At the reception, they did a walk-through of the reception hall during cocktail hour, collected gifts, and checked in regularly not only with my husband and me, but also our families to make sure we were happy and had everything we needed. Christina came at the end of the night to make sure we were pleased with her service. Their dedication to us made our day that much more special. We couldn't recommend Christina and her team more. -

After spending a couple of weeks searching for coordinators who turned out to be big disappointments, we finally found Christina! She really cares about her clients and was there to give us sound advice anytime we needed it. What sets Christina apart from other wedding coordinators, is she has an extensive catering background. My husband and I are both in the culinary industry so we know how important it is to have the food ready in a timely manner and executed beautifully. I have told everyone who would listen to me, that the best thing a bride and her family (or whoever is paying for the wedding) can do is to hire a planner. From our first meeting with Christina Whitney, my daughter and I felt comfortable and knew that Whitney Events would be the best choice as our planner. Christina Whitney is truly amazing. She was engaged with my daughter and I right from the beginning. We were especially impressed with how she handled the transportation issue for an urban wedding. Her expertise in coordinating shuttling bridal party, family and guests between hotel, church and venue went off without a hitch. I am a bride in Georgia that decided to get married in New Jersey and hiring Whitney Events was the best decision we made for our wedding. Christina Whitney was so professional and on the ball, even our venue and most of our other vendors went out of their way to ask for her contact information in hopes to work with her again.
She developed a strong understanding of what we wanted our day to be like and made decisions based solely on what we would want things to be - and all of her decisions were spot on! I can be indecisive, but Christina made sure that I was never overwhelmed or missed an opportunity to make the day even more special.
I really wanted a DIY feel to our wedding but with the distance was unsure I could get the look/feel I wanted. Christina jumped in and helped put together centerpieces, flowers, a mantle to use as an outdoor alter, etc. She never backed down from any of my different ideas and I could even see from her pinning and blog that she was constantly looking for some great ideas to match our ideas!
She took on so many roles for us too. She planned up to the day of, she came to our tasting and made sure all of our choices were smart. She worked with our budget to make the most of our vendor's, ran our rehearsal, and made the sure the day of went beyond smooth!
When it comes to a wedding coordinator, you will be in constant contact with him/her so you want someone you can really get along with. I think I would be disappointed if we didn't stay in touch with Christina! She's just a really awesome person and my family and I genuinely enjoyed her company through our planning and set up on the weekend of.
From a bride who had to pick all of her vendors from afar, so reviews were super helpful, I promise you will not be disappointed with Christina and her team- they are incredible. Your best decision (after your fiancé) in the whole wedding process is going to be hiring Christina, I promise! -

Christina Whitney was FANTASTIC! She was everything a bride and groom could want in a wedding planner. First, she was hands down excellent at all the nitty gritty stuff-having thorough background knowledge of everything wedding related, knowing just how to handle every one of our vendors (we had a million separate vendors) in a timely and professional manner. Second, she was exactly who a stressed out bride wants in her corner when things go wrong. She has a great personality and is the type of person one just wants to hang out with forever, she made planning my wedding go so smoothly. Christina at Whitney Events was an absolute pleasure to work with and she went way above and beyond to make sure that our wedding day was as special as it could have been. We hired Whitney Events for "Day of" wedding planning so she really wasn't supposed to start helping us until a few weeks before the wedding; however, Christina was a huge resource from the get-go (about 6 months out), providing recommendations of vendors for us and giving advice on a myriad of decisions we had to make. Knowing that Christina was there for us to run an idea by was a source of comfort, not to mention the recommendations that she made all turned out fantastically. Leading up to the actual wedding, Christina was on top of details, patient with me (I've planned events in the past so tend to be more detailed and involved than others may be), and communicated effectively with all of our vendors. For the rehearsal, Christina was terrific with our families: she was patient, answered all of their questions and made them feel at ease. On the actual wedding day, she came up with last minute creative solutions for components I was concerned about (she and her assistant covered a wall I disliked with extra table cards and photos, for example), managed the timeline, and kept track of everything so that I didn't need to worry. Best of all, Christina is a warm, kind, funny, down-to-earth person who really understood who we were and what kind of day we wanted. I would highly recommend her and Whitney Events for wedding planning services. -

I hired Christina as my wedding Day of Coordinator. She tailored her service package specifically to what I needed and charged a fair price. She also got involved well in advance of the wedding to visit my venue on several occasions and meet in person. I'm really glad I hired her because my venue had just hired new staff 2 months before my wedding and she stayed on top of everything to make sure it was all executed exactly as I wanted even when some of my other vendors were disorganized. She was also a calming presence to have when I got stressed the week before my wedding and on the day-of. I highly recommend her. -

I could not have chosen a better wedding planner for my big day. I got married at a beautiful location in Manhattan and everything came out better than I expected. To start off with, Christina only had 7 months to plan my wedding. She listened to my ideas and offered terrific input that I ended up using for my wedding. I had no idea what I wanted to do as far as food, and this is where Christina really pulled through with her culinary knowledge. She provided me with great options for the cocktail hour as well as the reception. I asked her to meet with the caterer personally because I trusted her to guide him in the right direction. As far as decor, I told Christina that I wanted my reception to look like a garden in the city. I wanted cherry blossom trees as my center piece, which I knew wouldn't be easy, but Christina made it happen for me. But what I really appreciated Christina for the most was all of the detail organization that she took care of for me. She made sure to stay in touch with me on a constant basis, updating me every step of the way with my vendors. In all honesty, my wedding planning process was virtually stress free because of Christina. I will forever be indebted to Whitney Events NY for the immaculate job they did to make my wedding day, the day of my dreams.

I had the opportunity to work with Christina, from Whitney Events, for our destination
wedding at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. I can say for certain that without her help and
expertise I would not have been able to pull it off. We planned most of the wedding from
our home state of NJ and Christina knew exactly what to ask and how to get everything
done being so far away. Christina, truly made the planning easy, stress free and most
importantly it was fun for me and my fiancé.
The night of the wedding she was tremendously essential to the event. Having never

We cannot say enough about Christina.
It was clear from the first phone conversation, the ensuing handshake with a warm confident smile, that we were making the best decision, second only to each other, towards the day we envisioned.
We did it all in pieces – venue, caterer, flowers, band, tent, photographer, and Christina was the glue. At the time, working with Sterling Affairs, Christina stepped passed the role of caterer and embodied the unspoken title of planner. She was our biggest fan when we were excited about an idea, and our honest mentor when we couldn’t decide. That was something to always count on and appreciate – Christina always gives it to you straight. She was a calming force for many a meeting; both professional and demanding with vendors, she knows the trade like the back of her hand, she knows when to push because someone could deliver more, and she knows when to trust another professional to do their job. She channeled our excitement and focused our ideas, and was as hands on as she needed to be while always keeping the big picture in mind.
Food was a priority for us – major. With Christina’s culinary background, we knew we were in good hands. We are still getting compliments on the hors d’oeuvres at our wedding months and months later – she advised us on those, too.
Christina is the ringer you want on your team. She is the reason why your guests have a great time and they thank you for it. Our wedding was gorgeous, but most importantly, WE had the best time. We saw everyone, we ate the food, we danced the night away. It was because of the pace of the evening that Christina set, and the confidence that she instilled, that we were calm and able enjoy the most important night of our lives.
She is a rock star, and she has our highest praise!

Christina helped our wedding day go off without a hitch. We were planning from out of town, and we were so lucky to be working with Christina who was always happy to answer questions and give her advice. She was able to give us recommendations for a florist and production company who were both top-of-the line. We were so happy with the entire day. She had thought of everything, and made it so that all we had to do was have fun. She had a detailed schedule and plan for the evening, but she was also flexible when things didn’t go exactly as planned. She had dedicated a waitress to make sure that my husband and I had everything we needed from the moment we arrived until the moment the party ended. Christina was extremely professional, responsible, efficient, and accommodating. She had a very clear sense of what needed to be done, and exactly how to execute. She was also very adept at navigating many different preferences, demands, and competing family dynamics to make things run as smoothly as possible.
I'm currently in the throws of my busiest years in a PhD program, with little to no disposable time on my hands - Christina made the whole process effortless. I never had to stress about the logistical elements once!

I don't think there are enough words to explain what Christina meant to me during my wedding. I owe her my sanity! My wedding was everything I wanted it to be and I would like to relive the day all over again :) I hired her a little bit over a month before the wedding to be my day of coordinator, and she went above and beyond to make sure everything was in place. I was so stressed with all the details, but she made me feel I could trust her with every single thing and finally enjoy my wedding! We had an incredible wedding and Christina played a huge role in making it perfect. Not only did she help us find the perfect venue that suited us (and our budget), but she made some great vendor recommendations. But the biggest help came in the weeks leading up to/day of the wedding. Christina kept telling us to relax and to let her worry about the details- and she 100% did. Everything went so smoothly- transportation was perfectly timed, church was ready (despite a scheduling problem that was beyond our control- Christina took care of it), band was well informed/knew the run of show, reception was set up beautifully, schedule flowed as planned, families kept in tow, the list goes on and on- my husband and I were able to truly sit back and ENJOY our own wedding, rather than running the show/worrying about details. Our wedding day was literally PERFECT even though we only had TWO months to plan AND we live out of state from our venue. And it was all because of Whitney Events!!! When we started looking for planners, all of them came off as hasty, rushed, and frantic when we told them what we had in mind for our wedding and the fact that is was only two short months away. We were already freaking out because our wedding date was so soon, so if our planner was doubtful and frantic, it would not make the process any easier. However, when we got our consultation with Christina, she was professional and more importantly, very confident that our dream wedding could be done in two months time. This put our mind at rest and a little more at ease. Even with a tight deadline, she was never pushy or overbearing and handled everything we couldn't do ourselves. She was very flexible with our schedules and communicated with us frequently to make sure we were on track. She went out of her way to pick up packages, get our marriage certificate, and deliver our wedding items to us just days leading up to our wedding. Even our bridal party all commented how she was very on top of it!! Aside from just the wedding planning, we also needed help planning our rehearsal dinner, after party,, and the Korean ceremony. Keep in mind we didn't even have a location booked or had any idea where we wanted to host any of those events. Yet with such ease she was able coordinate and execute each of those events. We were extremely stressed the entire two months (but what couple isn't when wedding planning?) and several times I doubted if everything would be done by the wedding day, but because of Christina, our wedding and all of our other wedding events were perfect. Hiring Christina to be our wedding planner was the best money ever spent (speaking budget-wise, their prices are worth for all the services you will receive). Go with Whitney Events! Whitney, is a nice person and has a passion for what she does but unfortunately for me did not live up to my expectations. I think she is very good at organizing for places where she is the sole planner and where there is no venue planner. I had a place where the venue was very well organized and had specifically taken charge of the ceremony and reception. My expectation was that the prep time and before the wedding would have been organized to a tee but that was not the case. I didn't get to take pictures with my flowers and bridal party because she didn't think we should bring them and then seemed put off when I wanted them. The emergency kit that was stated to be part of the contract was not available. I gave my own bridesmaid motrin and the venue coordinator brought me static guard when my dress kept getting caught up and I kept stepping on it. I think if you have a small traditional wedding where she could pick everything and be the only one in charge then you would be fine. -
