We absolutely love working with Kaitlin at Cheers Darling! As a photographer, it’s such a joy to collaborate with a planner who’s not only organized and efficient but also warm and kind. She creates a welcoming atmosphere while keeping everything running smoothly on the wedding day. Her wedding designs are always stunning and perfectly unique to each couple. The wedding of our dreams!
We started working with Jane only ~5 months out from our logistically complex, 180-person wedding after parting ways with a prior planner and she swooped in and pulled together an unbelievably beautiful wedding that completely exceeded our expectations. I had a million loose and sometimes contradictory ideas on design for the reception that I couldn't square in my head, but Jane immediately understood what I was envisioning, created a beautiful design, and then went above and beyond to execute it on very short timelines.
Throughout the process, she was super responsive, super helpful, and a lot of fun to work with. Not only did she make our wedding gorgeous and smooth, but she and her team kept me stress-free in the final days leading up to the wedding and throughout the weekend so I could be in the moment and focus on having fun with my family and friends. Bottom line - Jane is amazing!!! Hire her!!! -

The best planner EVER!
From the very beginning, it was very obvious that Kaitlin is passionate about her job. Throughout the entire planning process, she was extremely organized, responsive, and professional (not to mention she is an all around lovely human with a calming presence!). She listened to my vision and gave amazing suggestions when I needed them. Our wedding day was exactly what I envisioned and it would not have been possible without Kaitlin! She and her team on the wedding day went above and beyond to make our day the best day ever. You are guaranteed to have an amazing experience if you work with Cheers Darling Events!! -

Where do I even begin?! Kaitlin was my planner before I even knew my husband. She was the planner for my sisters wedding in 2018 and I knew without a doubt that I had to have her. Kaitlin is trustworthy, creative and beyond on top of it. I had zero doubt in my mind that any opinion or decision I asked her input on was genuine and honest for what my vision was. Not only was my venue located in a destination island, the reception venue I chose isn’t normally made for weddings which made me even more sure of my need and trust in Kaitlin being the only person for the job. Her eye for details and gorgeous ideas provided me with endless confidence that the day was going to be nothing short of perfect (which it was!). No matter the wild details I would think of (why not add custom playing cards?!) or finding vendors in our destination- Kaitlin was on top of it in finding the best of the best within our means. She went above and beyond to make sure we had every aspect possible of my vision was handled and kept me on time with every vendors needs. Day of the wedding- even week off- was nothing but a DREAM knowing her and Jane had everything under control. Our wedding day even threw an unexpected beach rain (with every aspect of the day being outside) and everyone still talks about how they would have never known there was a hiccup in the plan. I bugged Kaitlin with every indecisive decision I couldn’t make and at every hour of the day and I felt as if I was her only client with how on top of it she was (when I know for a fact she had post Covid wedding craziness to deal with!) I have no doubt in my mind that my wedding would not of been close to the day I dreamed of without Kaitlin. I could go on and on for reasons why and will tell anyone that will listen that they need her by their side when planning their wedding! She is one of the most wonderful humans and getting to work with her was nothing short of first class experience. Thank you to the whole Cheers Darling Team, it was truly a pleasure and an honor. -

My family and I will never stop talking about how much we loved Kaitlin and Cheers Darling Events!! From our first phone call I instantly felt like Kaitlin understood and could verbalize my vision, and had the exact personality I was looking for - straightforward and coolheaded, but also creative and fun.
Kaitlin went on to make both the year ahead of the wedding and the wedding weekend itself as stress free as weddings can be. Her tools for managing budget, tasks, guest lists, etc. kept my (now) husband and I feeling totally on top of things throughout the process. Her attention to detail is unmatched, and she never once dropped a single task, meeting, or little design detail. Kaitlin’s creativity and eye for design was also impeccable. I knew I could trust her advice as we went into discussions with the florists, did our rentals, etc. There were many things I had strong opinions on throughout the process, but anything I wasn’t sure on I just deferred to Kaitlin’s judgement knowing she would make the right call- she always did!
On the weekend of the wedding, if anything did go wrong I would have absolutely no idea because Kaitlin handled everything with grace and a total sense of calm. Her assistants were also fantastic and brought a great energy to the bridal suite and pictures while Kaitlin was busy ensuring every single detail at the venue was perfectly executed.
Lastly, one of the many benefits of working with Kaitlin was the great connections she has around DC. I found my photographer and florist through her, and they were both so incredible I can’t imagine using anyone else. My wedding was not in DC but she even had contacts in Philly for my vendors there like HMU, which helped me feel safe with who I was choosing knowing that she had worked with them before and trusted them.
While I certainly hope I never have another wedding, I must say I’m sad that this is the only chance I’ll have to work with Kaitlin. :) Highly highly recommend!!

She stayed steps ahead in the process - proactively prepping me to keep me on track, encouraging us every step of the way. Kaitlin's guidance throughout this wedding journey has been so helpful - the most creative ideas, incredibly organized plans, and meticulous execution. Day-of Kaitlin was a calming force in the midst of chaos, allowing us to soak in all the incredible moments of the day. She truly thought of everything. Where do I begin? Mike and I were engaged in April 2021, still in the height of Covid-weddings. We wanted our wedding to be authentically ‘us,’ and were willing to wait until 2022 for that special day. We began planning immediately and quickly realized that with the demands of our jobs, we needed a partner to help execute our vision. I interviewed over TEN Wedding Planners in the DC area and loved every one of them; but Kaitlin stood out to me because of her creativity, vision, and genuine desire to ‘do more’ to ensure we had the wedding of our dreams. No idea that I envisioned was too big, and that made me feel like she was ‘the one.’ Kaitlin quickly became the ‘Wedding-Planning Bestie’ that I didn’t know I needed. She was quick to respond to my many modes of communication: Instagram DM’s, Text Messages, Phone Calls, and Google Hangouts, she was always there with an answer for me. She kept our dream at the forefront of the planning process and helped us to achieve everything we wanted within budget. Kaitlin made wedding planning fun! She helped us to make our wedding personal and found ways to accommodate our requests even when the task seemed impossible. Anytime I had a new outside-of-the-box idea, she shared in excitement and always knew a vendor that could execute exactly what I wanted, which is a true testament to her relationships within the wedding industry. On our wedding day, Kaitlin gave me peace of mind and made sure I could enjoy every moment. Her timeline for the day was flawless, the Cheers Darling Team was supportive, and they made the day seem effortless. They always say ‘expect something to go wrong’ and truthfully, nothing did. We look back on our day with the fondest memories of each moment because we were able to focus purely on each other, and that’s what marrying your best friend is all about. Goes Above and Beyond
Every single wedding vendor I spoke to — and it was A LOT due to many switch ups for my Covid postpone wedding — absolutely raved about Kaitlin. Her reputation is stellar.
She is so unflappable, non-judgmental, and just generally a helpful person. I also don’t think I know of another planner in DC who has built a successful business from such a young age, making her extremely experienced despite being younger compared to other planners. Truly impressive.
And she seems to have found her calling … her taste and range is incredible! She helped me plan (and re-plan) a destination micro wedding in the winter AND a DC early fall/late summer wedding. And when I say “re-plan,” I mean, we completely re-did almost all of the design elements of my DC wedding when we moved it outside six weeks out due to the Delta variant. New linens, new rentals, new flowers, etc., etc. We also got a new band since our original one wasn’t fully vaccinated and a new photographer since our first one had a baby. And Kaitlin was nothing but helpful!
You’d be lucky to have her as a planner! -

Book jane asap
My husband and I had an absolutely amazing experience working with Jane to plan our wedding. She is the boss at what she does (meticulously organized, a step ahead of every situation, in control, but with a calming presence), and is also a WONDERFUL person. We loved spending time with Jane and it felt like we were hanging out with a friend whenever we got together to discuss wedding to-dos. My husband and I knew that on our wedding day we wanted to have fun, enjoy time with our friends and family, and not have to worry about a single thing. Jane delivered in every area, and took care of small fires and problems leading up to the ceremony and reception that we were completely unaware of at the time. There is so much that goes on behind the scenes of the wedding to make sure things run smoothly, and because of Jane and her team, everything was perfect. We are forever grateful that we were referred to her by a close friend in the events industry and cannot recommend her enough for anyone with an upcoming event. She is the best!! -

Best Choice We Made
Kaitlin was amazing, full stop. We were totally lost when we got started, and she listened to everything we wanted and came up with a list of recommendations within our budget, then toured venues with us and gave us her honest pros and cons about each. There were some hiccups with trying to find vendors during a VERY hot season and she always had a backup to her backups. Our wedding was so low-stress because she was there, from making sure we stayed on our timeline to bringing bandaids up to my room for shoe blisters. Her recs for other vendors were on-point, and we didn't have to do any behind-the-scenes work - we basically just had to show up. Could not recommend her enough, she was so kind, amazing, quick, and professional. If you're on the fence, hire her. -

Kaitlin was an absolute delight to work with. She created a custom package to fit our needs, and was incredibly supportive during the frustrating planning process we had to undergo with changing COVID restrictions and scenarios. Kaitlin was so organized and prepared for every situation we threw at her, and wasn't phased by any of the challenges posed by the ongoing pandemic. She was an incredible member of our team during the planning process - offering ways we could punch up decor, streamline the flow of the day and make our guests feel welcome - and an absolute rockstar on the day of our wedding - fixing red wine stains, adjusting wrinkles, wrangling guests and making the whole day feel seamless to both our guests and us! A wedding planner that will make sure both your wine AND water glasses are fully and that you eat? YUP. Kaitlin really thinks of everything and we're so grateful to have had the opportunity to work with her! -

We were living in DC when we got engaged and knew we were going to need a wedding planner when we started. We were in the middle of deciding on a big Boston wedding ( where we both are from) or a destination. We ended up choosing a destination wedding in Ireland. We engaged Kaitlin over 1 year out - best decision ever.
Kaitlin swooped in and started getting us organized from the get go. When we were planning our our venue scouting trip, she gave us all the tips and questions to ask while looking. From then on, Kaitlin handled everything with grace and a sense of calm. From vendor communication, to securing rooms in the small village where we got married, to finding an incredible make up artist and hair stylist from Dublin, to calling a local cheese monger so we could have the best at our Welcome Party. Every detail she managed to perfection- especially through the culture, communication styles and time differences. When we moved to Boston in the middle of wedding planning, Kaitlin was still brilliant with communication and getting together in person as needed.
The weekend of the wedding went off without a hitch. It started on Wednesday and went through Sunday/Monday. Kaitlin and Jane literally killed it. They worked tirelessly for 5-6 days making sure everything was on track, coming up with back up plans (lovely Irish rain storms), making guests feel in the know and comfortable, and most importantly, made my parents and us focus on the best weekend of our lives.
I tear up thinking about how amazing Kaitlin was through this entire process. Not only is she extremely talented and gifted as a business owner and creative soul, she’s a badass woman and one who has become a friend to Griff and I from here on out. She came into our family and friends lives and everyone adored her. Direct quote from one of my cousins “I’ve seen those girls all weekend. They’ve been incredible.”
I can not recommend Cheers Darling anymore if I tried. White glove service with a boutique, fun edge. -

Kaitlin and her team were absolutely fantastic! She was such a blessing during the craziness of wedding planning, but I felt so at ease with Kaitlin managing everything. She was extremely organized and seemed to know everyone in the wedding industry. Between her connections, her organization, and her great taste, Kaitlin was everything you could desire in a wedding planner. Every question I had, Kaitlin replied quickly and had a perfect solution. The day of the wedding Kaitlin and Jane were AMAZING. I didn’t need to worry about a thing and fully trusted them to make sure everything went off without a hitch. They did it all - they flawlessly setup both the ceremony and reception, organized all of the vendors, stuck to our timeline, re-glued my fake eyelashes, my wedding dress strap even broke mid-reception and Jane actually sewed it back on. They were life savers! Our speeches ran long and towards the end of the reception, Kaitlin came up to me and said, "I spoke with all of the vendors and they're able to extend the wedding 45 mins for X cost, do you want me to arrange it?" My husband and I wouldn't have even thought about extending our reception so we were so thankful Kaitlin was so proactive and that we got the extra time celebrating with family and friends. Kaitlin and Jane are the best and I highly recommend hiring them! You will be a much more relaxed bride for it! -

We worked with Kaitlin and her team to create our perfect wedding weekend! First of all, Kaitlin is so sweet and such a pleasure to work with, but she also brings to the table incredible professionalism and attention to detail. We had a rocky planning process involving health issues, downsizing of guest lists, hosting activities outdoors/old houses/barns, and Kaitlin and her team never once flinched. She was so supportive of all our ideas and any changes we had to make. Her attitude, flexibility and confidence made our planning experience as smooth and least stressful as possible. She also has great industry contacts in the DMV area and suggested great vendors to help us put together the best team for our event. Would 100% recommend! -

I work in the event industry and understand the challenges of event management. My wedding was not the largest event I had planned or the most expensive. But it was the most important. I have high expectations and want the best. Kaitlin and her team at Cheers Darling Events ensured my vision became a reality and I didn't have to worry about a thing the day of my wedding. She provided fantastic guidance, kept us on track and listened to my concerns.
I spoke to several wedding planners before choosing Kaitlin and her team. I would highly recommend Cheers Darling to anyone looking for some peace of mind during this process. It doesn't have to be stressful or overwhelming, but you need to have the right people around you to help. She knows what she is doing and does it extremely well. -

It's taken me almost a year to write this review because I could not adequately express how amazing Kaitlin was to work with. I still don't think that I'm able to do her justice, the best decision I made during the wedding planning, besides marrying my husband, was hiring Kaitlin. There is always going to be some sort of hiccup with wedding planning, but when working with Kaitlin she was always able to go with the flow, take the next challenge in stride, provide reasonable (or somewhat genius) solutions, be three steps ahead of every concern and provide her expert opinion without forgetting to keep the couple's vision in mind. Kaitlin provided us with a sense of comfort and expertise when making fun, hard or expensive decisions. She is honest greets every situation with an unforgettable giant smile making the experience working with her easy and one-of-a-kind. The only thing I miss about wedding planning is working with Kaitlin. My wedding planning advice, "look no further and hire Kaitlin." -
Jenn Sent on 05/22/2018I'm a pretty organized person and was hesitant about whether or not I really needed a wedding planner, but, after setting up an in-person meet-up with Kaitlin, my fiance and I knew Cheers Darling Events would critical in taking our wedding dreams and making them a reality. I had a clear vision (or so I thought) of what I wanted my wedding ceremony and reception to be like but Kaitlin really took that vision and made it so much better than I could have imagined. She was extremely responsive, collaborative, and was a great sounding board as we worked through how to maximize every dollar in our wedding budget while still giving us the fun, colorful, celebratory wedding we wanted.
Kaitlin created a vision board for me using imagery and inspiration I had shared, helped me find an amazing rehearsal dinner and post-wedding brunch spot which included chasing down many, many restaurant managers and event space coordinators, and she helped me nail down every last little detail from gorgeous custom pink ombre tablecloths to arranging for Pleasant Pops to provide post-wedding popsicles. Her day-of schedule was incredibly well thought out and all of our vendors felt like they had more than enough information and I didn't feel overwhelmed trying to juggle all the details.
She always had a super-positive attitude and charmed everyone in our wedding party and family alike, something not easy to do. Planning a DC wedding from NYC was challenging but I was able to really lean on Kaitlin's expertise and in the end our wedding was absolutely perfect and as stress-free as possible. Bonus points for Kaitlin's teamwork with our photographer to get our wedding featured in Washingtonian Bride & Groom! Highly, highly recommend -

It was a special blessing to be able to spend precious time with our families and friends before our ceremony and know that Kaitlin and her wonderful staff were setting up and making sure every detail was in place. She helped us with some last-minute fixes and even added thoughtful extra touches that coordinated with our color scheme and vibe we were going for! We were so glad to have her there to discreetly guide us through our reception when we were in a happy fog; we wouldn’t have known what to do without her there. Kaitlin’s passion for weddings combined with her organization and amazing attention to detail make her worth far more than the rates she charges.
I had a vision in my mind of what my perfect wedding would be but thought it was probably unrealistic. Well, Kaitlin took that vision and made that dream come true (it was honestly better than what I was dreaming!). We would highly recommend her to any couple planning their wedding; with Kaitlin’s help, our wedding was the smoothly-run success we dreamt it could be! -

She was our eyes and ears...and taste-maker ensuring everything came together within our budget. The entire planning was smooth and every detail was covered...THEN we had rain showers roll through during our outdoor ceremony time. Kaitlin helped us adjust our schedule on the fly, keeping our guests entertained, everyone dry, and ensuring we had the ceremony we had hoped for when the sun came out. We can't recommend her enough if you're are looking for a flexible, thoughtful, caring and excellent wedding planner.
