Best Wedding Ever

Grace and Charis Events did such a phenomenal job putting together our wedding. Even though we were communicating on a mostly digital basis for the majority of the planning process as my husband and I were both in the midst of busy semester in graduate school, Grace was always so accommodating and professional in making sure our wedding planning and timeline was moving forward while listening to our preferences. Grace brought to life the most stunning, thoughtful, and heartfelt experience that every guest, family member, and person at the wedding will remember for a lifetime. My husband and I are so lucky to have found Grace and worked with her - everything from the floral decorations, photographers, videographers, and venue were perfect.

Why you need to hire the best wedding planner - from the Groom

If you're having trouble figuring out which wedding planner to go with, have no fear Grace and Charis Events is there for you!! After talking to all your married friends for there recommendations to going to bridal conventions, searching on IG, and asking your vendors who they would suggest, finding the perfect candidate to be in charge of coordinating your wedding is in my opinion the hardest and most important decision when planning your wedding. As the groom of the wedding I had to leave a review here to help explain why Charis Events is the best ever. If your having trouble figuring out which wedding dress to go with, to what color schemes, floral design, wedding activities, coordinating with all your vendors, helping hire vendors, adding sparklers, saving money on miscellaneous expenses, and most importantly having a great time planning your wedding look no further to Charis Events & Design. Dream Wedding Planner In Reality!

Charis Events we’re referred by the venue. Grace was so calm and kind throughout the entire planning process and was able to cater to all our budgets, big or small!

Grace and her team is known for the perfect wedding design however they exceed our expectations. The wedding was a dream come true to me and my guests still rave about it. Some say it is the most beautiful wedding they've ever been to in their lives and I only have Grace to thank for everything.

According to my friends, the wedding planning was stressful,, but we miss the planning process. This experience wouldn't have been the same without Charis Team!

Exceeded Expectations

We cannot thank Grace and her team enough for such an incredibly beautiful wedding. They came highly recommended by my venue which is a place that is very particular and has many rules. I was so relieved that Grace and her team came in knowing exactly how to handle the venue and how things need to be run. The way that they executed everything gave us complete peace of mind to enjoy our day, and everything turned out even more stunning than we could have hoped it to be. Every detail was perfect and how we envisioned it, I knew exactly how I wanted the decor to be and the look for all 3 spaces - ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. Grace and her team not only delivered on my vision, but far exceeded what I had even imagined. Grace is wonderful. Through two COVID-related postponements, she was there for us the entire way in our wedding planning with helpful advice, professional assistance, and moral support. She helped us see the blind spots in our planning and took care of everything on the day of the event. There’s a reason…

Grace and her team have a very strong reputation for flawlessly executing events that are stunning, elegant, and most importantly memorable. All of our guests, friends, and family members could not resist talking about how beautiful and breathtaking our wedding was!

Some takeaways from our experience working with Grace and her team over a span of 12 months:
• Even though we were working with her from a different time zone, Grace was always very responsive via text, phone calls, or emails. If she wasn’t available at that exact moment, she always got back to us within a few hours at most.
• Most established vendors and major venues in the wedding industry in the SoCal area have worked with Grace at some point and her stellar reputation goes a long way.
• Everything felt like it was on auto-pilot on the day of our wedding and it was definitely one of the best days of our lives. In the days after our wedding, we found out that there were actually significant issues that day with our venue. Like true professionals, Grace and her team had smiles on throughout the whole day while dealing with all the chaos from behind the scenes.

Wedding I have been dreaming about :)

I previously went to my friend’s wedding in 2015 and I was so surprised how beautiful wedding could be! It was so pretty to the point I wanted to get married to someone right away!

I asked my friend for the info and it was Charis Events!! I was waiting for my day to come and decided to hire Charis Events for our wedding.

I am very indecisive when I need to decide what to pick and Grace was there to guide me through out the entire process. I was so relieved she was there for me when I had to make the right decisions.

Our wedding - I cannot express in words on how amazing it was! It was the wedding I have always dreamt about.

I am so grateful Grace and her team was able to do an amazing job. My husband also told me it was the best thing we decided to choose Charis Events.

I know a lot of husbands will not be a big fan of hiring the planner for the wedding - but it will be so WORTH it to ease your mind from the planning. There is a reason why Charis Events exist!

You won't regret choosing Charis Events

Seriously, all the future brides reading this review in hopes of finding a perfect wedding planner, YOU ARE AT THE RIGHT PAGE because Grace won't have you regret choosing her.

From the getgo, I just had vague ideas about my wedding, not any specific designs or even color theme but Grace just made every decision as if she read my mind! All I told her is that we were dreaming of "starry night themed" wedding and she executed to present us a whole universe... just WOW. My husband and I were truly in awe on the day of the wedding. We really thought we were dreaming!

My husband and I had frequent budget changes and surely it was really stressful on my end but Grace was just always there to help to balance out our budget. You don't get a lot of helpful hands when it comes to wedding financial budget planning but I am so glad that I had Grace to help me out.

Also, she got your back. We had a serious hiccup with the venue just two days before the wedding day... Grace told me about this after the issue was somewhat resolved to ensure everything was going to be okay but imagining if I were to be the one going through the stress and phone calls as a bride just TWO DAYS before the wedding day... I would’ve just blanked out and had a mental breakdown. Grace literally just saved our wedding. Talk about quick thinking!

Loved everything about our wedding from planning to the day of. I can't imagine what everything would've looked like without Grace. She definitely was a planner, a friend, and a coach, who took matters as if it was hers and gave a mile when we asked for an inch.

Best wedding planner you can ever ask for!

My wife is a huge fan of Charis Events & Design. After seeing her work on their website and instagram I wanted to make our wedding extra special for my wife and we chose Charis Events.

After meeting with Grace, we knew she will be the great person to plan our wedding. She was very prompt at responding to all my questions and I cannot ask more for what we hope for on our wedding day. She has great relationship with all the vendors so we were able to choose the BEST of the BEST vendors for our wedding.

I am very happy and satisfied we chose Charis Events for our wedding. All the details Grace put into the design - we both LOVED it! It was truly a dream come true & one of a kind wedding! We received so many compliments from our guests and we cannot be any happier!

My wedding

Grace has been the best planner and supporter for my wedding. She was always there to help us out with anything that we needed. She is an excellent communicator. She will always reply back with prompt response. She is super organized. We almost had to do nothing for our wedding. She had everything planned ahead. Also, she made our wedding sooooooooo beautiful. I wish I could share the pictures with everyone. We were stunned by how our wedding came out. She planned our wedding as if it was hers. Exceptional wedding planning & the BEST wedding ever!

At first, I was extremely stressed because I had to plan my wedding in a very short amount of time. However, Grace from Charis Events made the whole planning process easy and fun! Organization, execution with style

Grace and her team were absolutely Amazing. Grace's creativity/vision is quite impressive.

From my perspective as the groom - Her and her team are like a wedding swat team. They are incredibly well coordinated. Heck, I don't think I had to think at all... Everything was already set for us. They anticipated anything and everything we could have wanted. They made sure we were able to truly enjoy our wedding day. We were immediately drawn to all of her beautiful work on the website and instagram but also her amazing personality, so decided to book her for our wedding at Ritz Carlton Laguna Niguel. From initial meetings, vendor recommendations, design inspiration, and execution of the day, we were impressed by her professionalism, passion, and quality of work.

Grace really tried to get to know us as a couple and put a lot of work in trying to create and design a unique wedding for us. She also had great relationships with other vendors and professionals in the industry, bringing together the best team for the day.

I still cannot get over how amazing and beautiful our wedding was and how much fun my husband and I were able to have because we had Grace and her team taking care of everything!

Charis Events delivered an A+ wedding for us. From the beginning, Grace was very accommodating and pleasant to work with. She did a great job staying on top of the vendors and the necessary logistics to make the process much more relaxing for us. Where Grace shined the most was her vision of the wedding design. AMAZING GRACE! I only had 5 months and a limited budget to plan my wedding. She helped put together what I called 'The Dream Team' -- seriously one of the most talented florists, djs, photographers, and videographers in the greater LA area one could want. She knew my (expensive) tastes and preferences better than myself, and went above and beyond at every turn to make every dollar worthwhile. Having been a designer myself, I'm often known as one who isn't easily impressed, but Grace completely blew me away. Grace so easy to get along with, and I always felt so spoiled with every sweet little surprise she pulled off. I thank my lucky stars for having found her, and I strongly recommend her to anyone who wants the best wedding (and planning) experience!!

#1 factor in us providing a beautiful, enjoyable, and exciting wedding for our families and guests was by hiring Charis Events, and Grace Song in particular, to help with planning, design, and coordination.

Biggest strengths were in design and conceptualization of the big day based on the needs and vision of bride and groom. We explained what we wanted, and Grace's genius did the rest of the work. She was able to bring to life our vision for the design and layout of the event, including table settings, flowers, lighting, linens, room/table layout, etc. All the guests were blown away by the splendor of the event, and many said that it was the best wedding they had been to. All work with the vendors was seamless, and all the coordination was spot on. I feel there are many competent wedding "coordinators" out there - this is almost a commodity of project management these days.

Charis differentiates themselves by focusing more on the translation of vision of the event, focusing on the personalities and desires of bride and groom, color schemes of the dress and tux, natural emphasis points of the venue, and basically creating a highly tailored, customized wedding day "cocktail" that emphasizes the strengths of the aforementioned elements.

Also, because of Grace's strong reputation in the industry, she has unbeatable relationships with vendors that can not only benefit you with aggressive pricing, but more importantly, allows her to procure the right colors and schemes seamlessly based on the wedding vision.

We were extremely impressed with the cohesiveness through which she was able to (1) see and translate the vision (2) design the vision (3) recommend the vendors/layouts to bring the vision to life (4) do all the back end coordination.

If you want a fully coordinated, fully designed event that will get you as close to the vision that you have for the big day as possible, we couldn't give Charis higher praise and our full endorsement!

A wedding in April at the lovely botanical garden, Hartley Botanica, in California’s Simi Valley, was the setting for our family to celebrate in style. The wedding planner, Grace from Charis Events & Design, was in charge of the many details that all came together to create the most beautiful wedding I have ever seen! Everywhere you looked, there were little details that Grace had flawlessly incorporated into the setting for the bohemian style the bride wanted, that reflected not only the natural grandeur of the garden setting, but also the eclectic, non-traditional style and taste of the bride and groom. On the day of the wedding, Grace reminded me of a maestro, conducting her talented and rehearsed orchestra of florists, caterers and stylists in a flawless performance that was not only memorable for the guests, but also created a perfect day that will become a most treasured memory for the lucky bride and groom, and for our entire family.

My wife and I would love to encourage others to have Charis Events Team coordinate your future wedding or event.

We got married Last October overseas and had another reception ceremony for our family, friends, and guests last March. It's usually pretty difficult to have a reception only and make it flow as if we had a whole wedding, but Grace Song and her Team did just that. In a short span of time, she made everything we couldn't think of possible that night.

She is very personable and works around your needs and will go out of her way to make it a nemorable one for you, you got my word on that.

Many of the guests that night(over 300 in attendance) have said that our wedding by far was the best, most liveliest, and memorable wedding they ever went to.

My husband and I live in NYC but wanted to have our wedding in sunny Southern California, where I grew up. We kept delaying the daunting task of trying to plan a wedding from 3,000 miles away when we finally decided to hire a wedding planner. Grace at Charis Events was highly recommended by a close friend and we now know why. From start to finish, Grace handled every detail with professionalism and care. She helped us choose the perfect venue (Bacara Resort in Santa Barbara) by carefully scheduling all of our site visits and guiding us through the contract negotiation process. She introduced us to some outstanding vendors that she has close working relationships with and she coordinated her and the vendors' schedules to get on numerous calls with us at East Coast-convenient hours. Despite her busy schedule, Grace was very responsive, which we especially appreciated being in a different time zone. Even when our flight got delayed and we were three hours late to our tasting, Grace and her assistant were as cheerful and helpful as ever, despite having driven to Santa Barbara and waited around forever.

Our wedding day was beautiful, fun and very low-stress, which I owe in huge part to Grace and her wonderful team at Charis Events. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of, including overseeing the rehearsal dinner details to putting together our gift bags to save us time to closely working with the bridal party. While we were getting ready the morning of the wedding, one of my bridesmaids commented that I was "the chilliest bride" she had ever seen and that she regretted not hiring Grace for her own wedding earlier this year.

You won't regret working with Charis Events, we are still getting so many compliments from our guests about how beautiful and well-planned the wedding was. I'm happily accepting the accolades but I know Grace deserves all the credit!

My husband, Jason proposed to me right after we finished mountain biking on a regular weekend. He set up a table with flowers, champagne, my favorite ganache chocolate cake and a scrapbook. He was too nervous to say anything but “do you want to marry me?” Of course, I said YES!
Initially, I wanted an ocean front wedding ceremony. I went to a few venues with ocean front views with my girlfriend. However, none of the venues gave me a “wow” factor. I then decided to check out some indoor venues. The first venue my then fiancé and I visited was the Vibiana located in downtown Los Angeles. Immediately after we walked in, we knew that Vibiana had to be our wedding venue! The cathedral ceilings, stone pillars and marble flooring gave the venue such amazing vibrance and emotion. I knew you could transform the Vibiana’s interior to any style of wedding you wanted! We booked it right away!
One of my favorite parts of wedding planning was wedding dress shopping. Before I got engaged, I was following a wedding dress designer named Galia Lahav on social media. I was constantly mesmerized by the look of her famous illusion back style. I knew I had to at least try one of her dresses on. After finally seeing myself in Galia’s dress, I was in love, but didn’t know if Jason would like the price. However, all I can say is he was so supportive!
After I got my wedding dress and secured the venue, we decided to hire a wedding planner to help us design and coordinate our wedding. Since both of us had busy work schedules, we needed someone who would be really on top of everything. That’s where Grace from Charis Events & Design came in. Grace was amazing in every way! She took care of all the stress for me and designed a one of kind wedding that was truly more spectacular than I could have ever envisioned! And that is not exaggeration. Honestly, the best decision I made throughout my wedding planning was finding Grace and Charis!

Where do I began.... First of all, let me start saying~ I LOVE LOVE LOVE GRACE. She is the most amazing, talented, sweet, kind, detailed oriented, organized, easy to communicate and list goes on and on. Her taste was most spectacular and classy. She is incredibly resourceful and professional planner. She organized everything step by step and pays attention to the smallest of details (which I LOVED). Planning our wedding was completely stress free.
I had a vision of how I want my wedding to turned out to be... and she made it happen and more. From the beginning to the end, it was smooth sailing. Few months after, our guests is still talking about how BEAUTIFUL our wedding was... Everything was absolutely perfect.

One of the most gorgeous, epic, romantic, one of a kind wedding that one can ask for, thanks to Grace and her team at the London! Hanging white roses, a combination of modern and vintage furniture, with the perfect band overlooking one of the most amazing views in los angeles - it was amazing! Can't ask for a better planner. Grace was very professional through the whole planning process. With Grace's recommendation my wife was able to hand pick every one of her wedding vendors to create a one of a kind wedding. Wow. Where to start. We got engaged Christmas Eve of 2012 and didn't really start looking for venues until the middle of 2013. After looking at about 30 venues online and visiting about 8 of them in person, we decided on the Andaz in West Hollywood. At first I thought that I would only need a coordinator for the day of the wedding. I thought, 'Hmm...calling a few vendors and buying decorations and have someone oversee everything on the day of? I should be able to do it myself'. I started multiple Pinterest boards, ranging in topics from decorations, to venues, details, desserts and so on. I also signed up for a few different wedding magazines for inspiration. I thought I had everything mapped out for the wedding until I started the daunting task of trying to find actual vendors for everything, asking for quotes and looked into all of the decorative details that were required. Easier said than done. Working a full time job in retail and then having to come home and plan a wedding sounded a lot better in the early planning phase than it actually was once I started.

This is right around the time that we had decided to meet with potential photographers for our special day. After many hours of research and looking at other couple's wedding pictures, feeling like a stalked that knew all the details of a couple's wedding; we decided that it was time to meet with a few of the photographers. Sam Lim was the third person that we met with, and they do say, third time's a charm. He is so talented and super creative. At the end of our meeting he asked if we were in need of any other vendors and I thought, why not talk to a planner to see what their thoughts are. It can't hurt to hear the opinion of a professional. Sam handed me Grace's card and that is how it all began..

Grace and I hit it off from the moment that we had our first meeting. We talked for hours and it seemed as though we had known each other for a very long time. She quickly figured out what kind of wedding I was looking for based on our conversation and pictures that I showed her from my multiple Pinterest boards. She had also shown me pictures of weddings that she has planned and I was amazed at the quality of her work. She has great attention to detail, which I absolutely love!
Fast forward about ten months to the day of the wedding...our big day was finally here! Grace and her assistant (Robin- love her! Super sweet!) were at the hotel early to make sure all of the vendors were setting up on time and that both the bridal and groom's parties were on track. Once we finished taking all of our pictures it was time to take the walk down the aisle. With my dad by my side, we turned the corner to the ceremony site and I was speechless when I saw the venue. It was beautiful! It was everything that I imagined and more! Our ceremony and reception were both held in the same space so the vendors had to do a room flip during the cocktail hour. After we finished the pictures it was time for the grand entrance. And again, Grace did not disappoint us at all! We couldn't believe how stunning the room looked. From the flowers to the decor, we loved everything about it! She also came up with additional stationary details that I absolutely loved!

Thanks to Grace, the entire planning process was a seamless. All of the vendors that Grace recommended were extremely professional and not only that, you can tell that they all love working with her and respect her talent. I am truly impressed with the level of attention that Grace gives her clients and time that she dedicates to ensure they have a stress-free wedding planning process. Not only that, she has great ideas and most importantly, great execution. I am already thinking about other events that I can plan with Grace.

Grace and her team were fabulous! My husband and I got married at The Victorian in Santa Monica on 11/12/11, and honestly, I couldn't have been happier with Grace's services. She has impeccable taste and a keen eye for details- she brought in an antique typewriter as well as many other props to fit the theme of our Victorian style venue, and I didn't have to spend extra money to rent them because they were hers! Her ideas were unique and brilliant, and everything (I mean, EVERYTHING!) was executed perfectly. I didn't have to worry about a thing because she took care of it all! She went over and beyond to make my wedding day stress-free, and I cannot thank her enough! Thank you, Grace!

From Start to finish this was an incredible experience! Charis Event & Design as the wedding planners for my wedding was THE best decision I made.

Grace and Robin did EVERYTHING possible to make all planning seamless. Her advice, elegant taste and endless patience were incredible. I can't even imagine how people do this without her!

She's friendly, warm, and honest--makes her feel more like a girlfriend than your contractor/vendor. There is not one detail she missed and so much she just took charge of in a positive way and got everything done to perfection. Everyone told us it was one of, if not the best wedding they ever attended.

I know that everyone feel the same about the wedding planner and wedding planning service. You know you need it, but you also know that you just need someone to take this role to save some money. I asked my sister to take this role in the beginning and thought that this is going to be great, since she knows me well and overall we're family! Guess what, it didn't take too long to find out the importance of hiring a REAL PLANNER who knows what he/she's doing. My sister and I thought that we knew what we were doing, but we're absolutely WRONG. Our budget was structured poorly, even myself is a CPA, and my sister and I got emotionally bothered as time goes by and finally got in the biggest argument. I'm so glad all happen because I really got to appreciate Grace about what she had done for me. From the major to minor, she was there every step of the way and made my wedding second to none. No more arguments with my sister, no more arguments with my husband, but only happy tears on the day of my wedding. I hope other brides don't waste of their time to save the cost and looking for unprofessional wedding coordinators/planners. Do yourself a favor and hire Grace Song!

She is creative, organized and well connected to the event planning community.

Grace and her team is super-awesome. My husband and I don't live in Cali but had to have our wedding there since all our family and freinds are there. The problem was that we did not have any time to prep our wedding. So I hired Charis events and it was the best choice. I wanted something unique and affordable wedding. She coordinated from the beginning to the end to make that happen. Since we weren't in Cali, Grace took care of stuff like talking to the vendors. Everything went smooth and my wedding was perfect. Grace is so talented and she designed my entire wedding so elegant and gorgeous. You might think its a bit pricy, but it is worth it if you need help with coordinating your wedding.

I’m eternally grateful for the attention to detail with decor and organization that made my planning process and the rehearsal and wedding days smooth as silk and cool as a cucumber. I have been told from so many people that hiring a wedding planner is a must, but had too many wedding planners and choosing the right one was really tough....until I met Grace. She is not only creative and organized, she is also very kind and sweet everytime we met. Her team, Charis Events and Design is also wonderful. They stayed until the end of.the wedding and helped us with every little details and even were well-mannered to my guests. They soeak both Korean and English and very respectful to may parents, relatives. Our parents were very pleased and all my guests still talk about my wedding how perfect everything was. Grace is the best wedding planner ever!

Everyone thought that getting married around Thanksgiving is crazy and they said Friday weddings are the worst, but guess what? I nailed it with Grace's help. Grace is truly a pleasure to work with. She listens to you and advise you when you seek for her help. I totally trust her with the sense of design. She's not only a great event designer, but also really wonderful with fashion. She is the go-to-person when you're getting married. Regardless of my problem with Thanksgiving season and even on weekday wedding, all my guests enjoyed our wedding. I had full trust in her and she really came through above and beyond.

Grace was super organized, professional, and so creative ! My husband and I kind of had an idea of what we wanted for our wedding but no clue how to pull it all together but Grace made it happen ! She has a kind and warm personality which made working with her fun and easy. Our wedding day was stress-free and beautiful because of her; everyone had a great time. Charis Events was a lifesaver. They took a very limited budget and truly made the impossible happen. My wife was very impressed and astonished at the creativity that came from such a small budget. We had so many turbulent dealings with other vendors and this one was absolutely a delight to work with. Grace who owns the company is professional, creative, and pays attention to detail. She really came through and brought out the best from what we had to work with. I hope that others in the future planning a wedding in LA could give her a shot to design something that will impress you. Unlike other vendors who talk a big game, over promise, she and her team came through and were clutch!

My wedding was everything I could have imagined and then some. Grace went out on a limb to make sure I have everything I wanted. I am a full time student and also have a part time job so it was extremely difficult to plan a wedding. Let's just say Grace was the super hero! She knew exactly what I wanted from the ambiance down to the stationery. It was worth every penny and I cannot possibly think of a more qualified event coordinator. I'm so glad that I met Grace at Charis Events. Grace came highly recommended by one of my best friends over years ago and I finally contacted her for my wedding as soon as I got engaged about 5 months ago. I never know that all can be happening in such a short period of a time, but I knew I was in good hands when I met Grace. Grace and her team were very professional, helpful and attentive. My wedding went extremely smooth because Grace knew all the vendors and they have been working together years and years. Grace was on top of everything with the time-line, styling and also took care of me and my brides-maids. I’m just so glad that I met Grace and Charis Event team in my life on a very important day of my life. I want to give them 100 stars if I can, because they totally saved my life on my wedding day!! So many things happened…Believe me. It really all happened! Although so many things were going on, Grace handled everything so professionally and so completely, we were able to enjoy the day without worrying about logistics.
First, I have to let you know that we got married at my parents’ backyard and all the things were not as easy as it could have been at elsewhere (like hotels or other wedding places) we had the a big mirror with the guest seating, a gift from my cousin, got broken during carrying my stuffs from our family member. But Grace stayed completely calm and came up with an incredible idea, and she ran out last minute to get the couple of mirrors and start writing the guest names (beautifully) and decorated on a table next to where we’re getting married. It looked AMAZING and she somehow managed to do this with mere hours left before our weddin, in the middle of trying to coordinate everything else.
Grace also coordinated everybody (DJ, Bartenders, Rental, Lighting, etc) staying couple more hours later than expected because the party was so much and nobody wanted to leave. And, when a really important family member was an hour and a half late, she managed to keep all the guests blissfully occupied and keep everything moving smoothly. She is a pro at managing dynamics and was an awesome buffer when difficult situations occurred.
When one of the very important guest fell off the chair, she also helped them with the first aid kit that she carried around and also sewed one of my bridesmaids dress when the zipper popped open.

Most importantly, Grace always had a smile on her face and kept me (the bride) calm during moments of nervousness. We always had complete faith that she would make our event beautiful, and we were not disappointed.

Grace and her team are wonderful! From beginning to end, Grace made sure that my best interests as the bride and our particular vision for our wedding for her absolute priority. She never pushed her own agenda, but was committed to creating the simple and elegant wedding that we wanted. She listened to what we wanted and then marshaled her own great taste and judgment (very simple and classy), not to mention her vast network of vendors, to bring to life our perfect wedding day. In the execution of every step, Grace personally oversaw that everything from the wedding invitations, exquisite sweet table, floral arrangements, beautiful table settings, placement card table, and so much more to facilitating negotiations with the videographer and photographer (among others) were completed in a timely and competent manner. On the day of the wedding itself, her rigorous attention to detail ensured that everything went off without a hitch, even going so far as to retouch my make up for me during the reception. She also made sure to collect my personal belongings for me in the chaos following the reception, a thoughtful gesture that I really appreciated. Grace works very well with all the other vendors and coordinates the timeline from the beginning of our ceremony to the very end of the reception.
Most importantly, however, she was so sweet, kind, detailed-oriented, professional, and hardworking that it was truly a pleasure to work with her. Wedding planning is not just a job for Grace, she really loves and finds joy in making the most special day for the bride and groom. It was truly a blessing to have Grace as our wedding planner!!!

Grace Song is the BEST wedding planner (and designer) in Los Angeles. I can’t imagine how anyone else can be better than Grace Song. Grace is the best because she will take your concept and vision and help you create the perfect wedding that you dreamed of…. except that it will turn out to be more graceful and elegant than you ever imagined !!!!

We had our wedding at the Garden Terrace in Newport Beach Hyatt on 3/23/2013 and thanks to Grace it was everything that we imagined and more… WAY MORE! We are few weeks out from our wedding and people are still talking about how beautiful our wedding was.

From the moment Grace came onboard, Grace literally advised us on everything…..from selection of the venue to selection of all the vendors (wedding invitations/programs/table name cards/wedding favors, flowers, tuxedos and dresses, DJ, jazz band, lighting, photographer, cake and dessert, etc.) Grace participated in every stage of the process: she attended the menu tasting; visited wedding shops with the bride; directed the rehearsal; and of course ran the entire show on the day of our wedding. Her advice (about everything) was always spot on and we couldn’t be happier with the choices we have made.

Grace’s greatest strength is her creativity and attention to detail. Word can’t describe the beautiful decorations and innovative designs that Grace (and her staff) implemented. Our outdoor wedding was spectacular…. the rose lined garden path was sophisticated (heart shaped roses!) and the strands of flowers (rose petal chains) hanging from trees was perfect ingredient for our garden wedding. Our indoor reception area was stylish…the tabletop fabrics, decorative pieces and furniture that she used was more than perfect. Words do really fail to describe our joy when we walked into the reception room.

We are truly blessed to have had Grace for our wedding. Thank you Grace. Chin and Kate.

Grace is such a live saver!!! she saved my wedding day :D I thought I could easily go through my entire wedding day without a coordinator and it just wouldn't have been the same. Grace was on top of the ENTIRE day and didn't miss a detail. Even guests made comments to me on how on top of it my wedding coordinator seemed to be.

From the first time I emailed and spoke with Grace, she always responded to calls and emails immediately and was always willing to meet with me when needed.

I know this seems to be one of the first things brides think they can do without because of the budget -- but please, for the sake of yourself on your wedding day (as well as your family and friends) make sure to have a coordinator and Grace is 200% the one to do it.

Grace, where do I begin? I can't begin to describe how amazing Grace was. Grace was always so organized, professional, calm, full of sage advice. She was always willing to meet, answer questions, and offer great ideas. Grace helped us select great, affordable vendors. Her coordination with them was invaluable to us.

I have to stress the one of the best and most surprising thing about working with Grace was that she was always willing to come with us to meet vendors. She was with us for our cake tasting, all our location walk-through, even my hair and make-up test. It was this flexibility combined with her great design sense that helped created all the fabulous details which made our event so special.

Like I said, I cannot say enough about how lucky we were to have Grace. The day of the event was wonderful as well. Grace and her staff coordinators were very professional and they looked after us while overseeing the entire event. In summary, she's a great professional with amazing taste who really cares about her clients having great events. Grace -- we can't thank you enough!!!

I am the mother of the groom. Since my son and soon to be daughter in law were out of Los Angeles, where the wedding took place, I needed so much help and that is when one of my dearest friends suggest hire a Wedding Planner. We had Grace at Charis Events for our Wedding Planner. Best decision we made. Grace was the best "investment" I've made in a long time. With her help, we had a fabulous wedding for my only son. Grace Song planned my wedding, and it was as flawless as a wedding can get, I think. She found an incredible location, responsive vendors, excellent catering (at a steep discount), and orchestrated all the logistical party stuff in such a way that my wife and I only had one thing to do on our wedding day: enjoy.

Grace came highly recommended through some friends that had worked with her for weddings/events, and to some it all up...just AMAZING!!! I had about 6 months to plan my wedding, but was nervous because I wasn't sure if that would be enough time to get everything done, especially since I'm soooo indecisive. Grace helped me from securing the venue to every last detail. She understood what I wanted my vision to be for my wedding, as well as my budget. Everything turned out to be more than I had ever expected. From the venue to the every last detail of the wedding day, I didn't have to worry about anything as I knew that I was in trusted hands.. My FAVORITE part was the gorgeous dessert table, with all sorts of goodies from macarons to color matching cake pops. My wedding day turned out to be more than I can ever imagine. I was very pleased with this company. All the vendors were coordinated perfectly for my wedding day and I didn't feel worried about their capabilities. They created beautiful floral arrangements and decorations for the ceremony and reception. Due to the distance, I only met with Grace twice and spoke on the phone several times with many emails. Grace was recommended by one of my best friend who got married about a month before me. That's how I met Grace... at my friend's wedding. I was a bridesmaids and was very amazed of her work and realized that I need a Coordinator for my wedding. I hired Grace for the month of/day of wedding package, which she doen't normally do(She only plan and designs the wedding) but that was the only time I've got until my wedding. She gladly took me and what she provided me was above and beyond what I had asked for. She will constantly be one step ahead of you, which is absolutely crucial during wedding planning! After our initial meeting, she has already compiled information regarding all my vendors, events throughout the wedding day, color schemes, etc. She was able to point out small details I overlooked and suggestions to improve the flow of the wedding. On the actual wedding day, Grace and her team tended to everyone from families to friends to wedding party to vendors and most importantly, to us! What amazed me the most were all the issues I found out afterwards that were miraculously resolved immediately by Grace. Having Grace as a part of your day will be one of the best wedding decisions you make!

Trust me, I've interview more than 10 wedding planners and coordiantors for my wedding and I finally decided to go with Grace at Charis. Grace is a pro...in the best sense of the word. First off, I believe that the expense of hiring a wedding coordinator is well worth the cost, provided you hire the right one. She is extremely professional, prompt and tasteful. It wasn't so much that everything was out of control; more that I needed follow-through on things that were already set and help finding a few key vendors that had yet to be chosen...this four weeks before the wedding. Ever resourceful, she came through with nary a hair out of place - everything remained calm - and most importantly my fiance (now husband) and I were able to appreciate our special day. She was not the cheapest coordinator I interviewed, but she was the one that I felt most in sync with. I had no qualms over her representing me. Basically I was able to trust her enough to let her do her job, which was to help make my life a lot easier as the clocked ticked down to the big day. I'd work with her again, but hopefully not on another wedding for myself.

You know you did right when you continous recieve same comments how beautiful the wedding was. Our wedding day was produced with so much preparation ahead, my head hurt. But Grace helped us get through the tough decisions, making the necessary recommendations and deals to finalize the numerous packages.

Grace has proven to be very resourceful and thorough in planning for the day. While we went into the preparations with several ideas of our own, I think she would be a great fit for couples who want and need many suggestions in style, trend and event aesthetics.

Vendor recommendations also were great, from venue and photo/videography to catering and food/beverages. The food was actually better on the day of wedding, than when we went for tasting...which was a pleasant surprise. :)
