A thoughtful experience

Felicia is such an amazing wedding planner and very detailed oriented. She shows up every time and follows through. She is always making sure you and your partnered are heard while providing a sense a peace in all the nerves that come with wedding planning. She has a keen eye, she's open and honest, and very helpful during wedding day to make sure you feel at ease and on time. She's flexible and listens to your vision with care. I would 5/5 recommend her to anyone looking to have a relaxing, well planned wedding day.

Amazing wedding planning experience

Felicia was amazing! She was so prepared and had a wealth of knowledge and experience. We did some traditional things and some not traditional things, and she was so flexible and really helped us to enjoy our day. There was an issue with the caterer not providing things they had said they would in the contract. Felicia caught it , and she followed up with them after our wedding to get us money back. Super happy we picked Felicia to help plan our day.

Easy, Seamless Experience

Felicia was extremely helpful and informative throughout the planning process. When we hired a day-of-coordinator, we expected day-of coordination and that was it. What we got was so much more: suggestions about the event, careful (but not pushy) guidance regarding timeline, and helpful insights from an experienced professional in the field. Felicia listened to all our concerns and embraced what we wanted from the day. When it came time for the rehearsal dinner and event, she ensured everyone knew their roles and that all items were placed exactly as planned. We couldn't be happier with the friendly, professional service we received from Felicia and her team.

Cms is the best!

Felicia’s experience, dedication, and genuine care for her clients sets CMS apart from all the others! We used CMS for Month of Planning at a luxury venue in Virginia and we’re able to enjoy our perfect day while our planning team handled all of the details. Even with Month of Planning, Felicia stepped in nearly a full year prior to the wedding to assist in vendor selections, contract review, and helping guide us through the many stages of planning a luxury wedding. I cannot thank Felicia and her team enough for the superb work and for being so incredible to work with. We will miss you and wish you all the best!

Responsive & Excellent Tracking

I had the pleasure of working with Felicia for my wedding. Felicia is just an amazing human being to begin with, so that made meeting with her and getting our work done even easier because she was always so upbeat. My gosh, Felicia, we are so thankful that we hired you and your team! From the video planning calls every month to email check ins, to the checklist, to the actual day of coordination, and everything in between - YOU WERE AMAZING! Everyone that knows me knows that I am not a very organized person and you seriously helped us so much! You kept us on track with the planning, gave subtle reminders, and gave us great vendor suggestions and advice throughout the whole process! On the day of, you took all of the planning and set up stress off of our chests and you and your team set up the venue with my exact vision in mind!!! You were so attentive and helpful throughout the day and always had a smile on your face and positive energy that came with you. Detail oriented, efficient, helpful and committed

First and for most Felicia makes you feel as if you are the only couple she is working with throughout the whole process, even when I knew she was working on four weddings. Felicia's gives feedback and helpful suggestions but always supported my wishes. She was prompt and personable at all of our meetings. For the wedding day she worked with a team of 3 - which I believe made all the difference. We had a very smooth event and hands down I would hire CMS again!

Can't recommend Felicia enough!

We hired Felicia at the recommendation of a friend who's wedding we'd attended that she was the planner for back in 2018. We hired for to assist with month of planning and she went above and beyond - attending our catering tasting, our rentals appt, reviewing vendor contracts for us all well before the wedding month.

I told my now husband that I wanted to be able to wake up on our wedding day, go to the venue, relax with my bridal party, get our hair & makeup done and not worry or have to deal with about any setup, vendors, family/friend arrivals. He was skeptical that would be possible but Felicia truly made that dream a reality.

Our wedding was last month and Felicia & her team made the day. Everything ran so smoothly, I had no idea what time it was all day bc she made sure we were all were we needed to be and when kept everyone on schedule. Her vendor and wedding party timelines are a thing of beauty and precision. She and her team did also did an incredible job setting up the reception area and putting out all our decor! Felicia also went above and beyond, taking our left over decor after the wedding and holding onto it for us for 2-3 weeks afterwards.

Felicia was amazing. My dress literally broke on the wedding day and she was calm and she FIXED IT. You can't really do better than that. Felicia is a pro and it shows! From day one, she handled the details and logistics for our big day with ease and great care. She made us feel like we were her only clients and was always attentive to our needs. Any questions or requests were always handled/answered promptly. She left no stone unturned. I’m sad that our big day is over but I can say with certainty that I am beyond happy we chose Felicia to handle our wedding, it couldn’t have been put in better hands. We will forever be grateful.

Felicia is organized and on top of everything!

We had a large Indian wedding in early 2020 and we hired Felicia for all our planning and day of coordination. Felicia was so patient and open to learning about all the traditions and rituals involved in an Indian wedding. Some things were new to her but she did an absolutely amazing job putting it together for us. For example, in some Indian weddings the groom rides in on a horse and we asked Felicia to help coordinate that.. Felicia took care of all the discussions with the hotel, the permits, officers, and street closures that we needed for the horse to walk on the street in NW DC

Everything Felicia did was exceptionally organized. As soon as we hired Felicia we had access to an online wedding planning software that made tracking our vendor information, guests, and messages with Felicia a breeze. The day of our wedding went off without a hitch. Felicia and her team members helped us stay on schedule the entire day which was impressive for the amount of rituals and the number of people we had involved in our wedding.

Overall Felicia was a great decision for us. She was very friendly and a pleasure to work with.

Wonderful!

Felicia has been there with us every step of the way. Prior to finding Felicia we were struggling to find a venue on top of balancing our hectic lives, one of us working as a nurse and the other working full time while attending grad school. She helped us get our timeline straight and on track, guiding us through the confusing and time consuming process of planning a wedding. She especially helped with answering questions and working with vendors to make sure that we were safe to reschedule if we had to given our wedding occurred during COVID-19. She kept the legalities in mind and I'm certain that if something would have happened her work in doing this would have paid off. Everything went off without a hitch and the wedding itself was a blast! Everybody who came had a whole lot of fun. Would certainly recommend!

We contacted Felicia in the last days of our wedding prep to serve as a "day of" coordinator; she ended up being a day of savior! Outstanding wedding planner

Working with Felicia at Celebrations Made Simple was definitely the best decision we made for our wedding. She was so organized, detail oriented, and helpful. We probably wouldn't have had the vendors we needed for our wedding without Felicia.

The best decision we made!

Felicia Owens Smith is a fabulous wedding planner! She assisted our daughter in planning a Nov. 2 wedding in Old Town Alexandria VA. She is organized, professional and consistently gave time and money saving advice. Felicia recommended a variety of vendors based on our requests, negotiated contracts and helped us maintain a timeline throughout the planning process. The best decision we made

Felicia is AMAZING. We hired her to plan our wedding, and it was such a good decision--the single best decision we made, because she set us up to make so many other good calls. She helped us find the perfect venue. And she connected us with great vendors, and then interfaced with them and organized everything so we didn't have to worry about it. She helped me find bridal shops and made appointments for me at them (surprisingly time-consuming!), got us a budget-friendly DJ at the very last minute, made the rehearsal with our ginormous wedding party actually run well, and totally rolled with the punches when we changed our wedding date early on. Our wedding weekend was honestly stress-free. Everything about the wedding day went right (at least as far as I knew!), and I didn't have to worry about anything. She let us focus on our guests and each other, which was so great. I can't recommend her highly enough.

Highly recommend Celebrations Made Simple. This team is professional, experienced, responsive, caring, affordable and offer easy to use on line systems. They are detailed oriented and provide excellent follow up. Genuinely nice people who will make your event shine. Cannot say enough great things about working with this business. We used them to oversee a welcome reception on night before wedding. They assisted in helping determine the right amount of feed to order. They delivered food to the event, displayed the food, refreshed food as needed and cleared dishes during the event. We were able to enjoy the event and not worry about a thing. The set up was beautiful and we could not have done it without them.

Awesome wedding planner!

Hiring Felicia was easily one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! She was a true professional and took over the wedding planning process three months before our wedding. She was great to work with, super responsive to all our questions and requests, and put us at complete ease. She was also very organized and detail oriented and kept us on track and on schedule for all the major wedding planning milestones. Felicia was also a fantastic sounding board for different ideas (arrangements, decorations, flow, etc.) and helped us execute our vision perfectly.

Overall, she and her team did a great job on our wedding and we couldn't be happier! We got so many compliments afterwards from our guests on how nice our wedding was and a good chunk of that goes to Felicia and her team. Our only regret is that we didn't hire her sooner.

Love, love, love--highly recommend!

Hiring Felicia and her team at CMS was the best decision we made during the wedding planning process. We first met her when she planned a wedding in which I (the bride) was a bridesmaid, almost 6 years ago. I was so impressed by her performance at my friend's wedding that I saved her name and vowed that I would hire her for my wedding--whenever that eventually happened. Fast-forward five years, I got engaged, and one of the first things we did was reach out to Felicia. My expectations were high, but she nevertheless exceeded them.

We purchased her month-of package, but the services she provided went far beyond the month before the wedding. Felicia is responsive, a level-headed problem solver, and just generally made our lives SO much easier. From providing advice, to giving us access to planning tools, to guiding us through the planning process, Felicia was well worth the investment. Honestly, just the fact that you can load her car with all your decorations and other supplies in advance of the wedding, and show up at the venue with everything already set up, would by itself be enough of a reason to hire her. Throw in her wealth of knowledge and ability to handle problems as they arise, and hiring her is a no-brainer. We ran into some issues with our venue during the event, and Felicia handled them like a champ, so much so that my husband and I were largely unaware of the issues until after the fact. Without her, our wedding would have been significantly less enjoyable, both for our guests and (especially) for us. We could not be happier. Felicia is the bomb--I HIGHLY recommend her for all your event-planning needs!

Celebrations Made Simple made our wedding go very well! Our wedding started on time, and ended on time. Everyone who worked from Celebrations Made Simple were professional and pleasant to work with! Of all of our wedding decisions to make, the best hands down was hiring Felicia. She was constantly in contact, never left us waiting for an answer, laid everything out for us before every decision, and was at our beck and call throughout the service.

She pulled nothing but the best contractors for us to choose from, while still carefully meeting out budget needs. Our wedding was only on track and so well turned out because of her constant attention.

Felicia is incredibly friendly and charming and you will ENJOY your meetings with her, even if you think you would dread the work and sheer size of planning that goes into the wedding. She makes it that easy and fun!

It is amazing how quickly the time will go by and how much of the work she will shoulder for you. At the end of the day no matter how you go about it you will be married, but with Felicia you will get to that end of the day with a minimum of hassle in your part, knowing someone who is remarkably organized and in control is making sure all the little things line up and are handled.
The company name says it all, your celebration will be so much easier, and therefore enjoyable, because of Felicia. We never once had the pre-wedding panic and I can only believe it was because our first big decision was hiring Felicia and Celebrations Made Simple!

My husband and I spent the past year planning our wedding with Felicia, and she has been an absolute DREAM to work with! She is so friendly and accommodating and helped guide us through every step of the process, especially as we had no idea what we were doing. She'll work with you to help create your vision, provide suggestions if requested, or allow you to take the lead... but she also isn't afraid to tell you when you've got a bad idea. The day of the wedding she and her team handled every little detail and vendor mishap so that we didn't have to worry or stress about a thing. She has more than 10 years experience with traditional and contemporary weddings and events as well as a few same-sex weddings, so has plenty of experience to draw on. Felicia also has a variety of electronic resources at hand that really helped us to manage everything from the budget, vendors, and guest list to design ideas. If we could give Felicia 6 stars we would - we cannot recommend her more highly! In fact -- we've already referred friends to her.

Selecting Celebrations Made Simple to plan and execute my husband's "70s Soul Train" party is one of the best decisions I have ever made. The company is professional, strategic, knowledgeable about the event planning industry, and very experienced in Project Management. My party was EPIC and all my guests had an amazing time; I felt like a guest at my own party. From the complicated negotiations of the vendor contracts to the smallest details of choosing colors for the balloons, Celebrations Made Simple allowed me to breathe and trust the process. I HIGHLY recommend Celebrations Made Simple to anyone interested in hiring a planner. In the future, I will only partner with Celebrations Made Simple to plan and execute any event for me.My husband was extremely surprised and I didn't have to worry about set up, clean up or ensuring guests were taken care of the entire night. This isn’t our first Celebrations Made Simple event and it surely won’t be our last. This one was a family Christmas celebration combined with a 50th Anniversary. Having the joy of attending your own event with LITERALLY nothing to worry about but what to wear AND being able to focus entirely on your guests is priceless. We had a blast working with Felicia! She was professional, well organized, and very detailed. She exceeded our expectations and went beyond her duties as a day of coordinator. This included contraction vendors, coordinating virtual meetings, and physically attending vendor meetings early on. Her positive and calm demeanor helped mitigate a lot of stress leading up to our big day. Communication was great as she would always respond in a timely manner. In addition, she would always offer to lend her assistance if needed. We knew Felicia would be a great fit after our first initial interview and we were not wrong! There are 83 reviews before ours, so one would think that there wouldn't be anything else to say. Therefore, forgive me if I'm repetitious. We found Felicia with the recommendation of our caterer, reviewed her on Wedding Wire, and then met with her. Let me just say that we knew within the first 15 minutes of meeting her that she was the planner for us.

We are a couple from New York City, and our wedding was in norther Virginia. Even though we thought we had everything under control six weeks before our wedding, within ten minutes of meeting Felicia we knew that we couldn't do it without her.

Felicia does have several packages, but none of them quite fit what we needed, probably because we are from out of town, and had already done some legwork. Felicia customized a package for our needs. Then she worked seamlessly with the vendors that we had already selected, yes, even the New Yorkers.

In general I am extremely happy to say I got my monies worth. This was not the case with Felicia... We got SO MUCH MORE than our monies worth. Felicia worked tirelessly to make sure our wedding day was spectacular. I know for sure that we stressed Felicia out on multiple occasions. Let me say she handled it without a blink of the eye. She reminded us from weeks out what needed to be done, made sure we did EVERYTHING to ensure our wedding would be amazing.

As if that wasn't enough, she handled the event incredibly. Our shuttles were all late, and it was drizzling. Felicia made on-the-fly decisions to ensure that nothing would effect our guests, our vendors, us, or our wedding. Even today, over a week past our wedding, she is still following up with us to tie up loose ends.

I highly recommend Felicia. She is truly a gift to the industry. She has her system down pat, and it is so easy to work with her. I don't know if other clients can say this, and if they can then she is even more incredible than I give her credit for, but she is family.

Let's face it, planning a wedding is S-T-R-E-S-S-F-U-L. I was all over the place theme wise, and planning our wedding in Virginia from my home in Los Angeles was no easy task. Luckily, I was referred to Felicia and her team at Celebrations Made Simple, or else I'd probably be in a padded room right now. Felicia was an absolute pleasure to work with. Not only did she keep me on top of my priorities and help us fine-tune all the details from beginning to end, she connected me with a variety of vendors and acted as liaison between us to keep communication flowing. Felicia and the Staff of Celebrations Made Simple are the BEST in their industry. Celebrations Made Simple coordinated an event on 12.13.14 which was termed "EPIC" by all attendees. It was a truly phenomenal event. They leave nothing to chance. Felicia will remind you or suggest things you might not have thought of or even considered.

We absolutely LOVED working with Felicia for our wedding!! There was more than one occasion where my husband and I both said "thank goodness we hired Felicia, she was worth every penny". We hired her as a day of planner, but she is so much more than that! She started working on my wedding the moment after we signed our contract. We had multiple meetings together before the wedding to make sure she had a full understanding of each aspect of our wedding, not to mention the many emails & texts we exchanged back and forth. Thanks to Felicia, my stress level the last few months before my wedding was almost non-existent! Felicia was the most amazing person to work with and help us get to our wedding day. We wouldn't have made it without her. We contracted with Felecia Owen-Smith of Celebrations Made Simple for “Day of” wedding coordination; she and her team went above and beyond. Unlike other “Day of” coordinators, we met and contracted with Felicia almost a year in advance of the wedding. My daughter and I both are planners but we sought out a coordinator who would be able to visualize the bride’s desires in order to allow the two of us to step back and enjoy the celebration. Felecia was that person! She imbues quiet confidence and grace.

Felecia Owen-Smith is a delight to work with. She is extremely organized and provided excellent guidance and made an effort to tactfully offer options and suggestions. She provided guidance throughout the planning process. She was there for everything from reviewing the contracts to contracting with additional team members to provide childcare at the venue. Using her detailed timelines, she martialed our large wedding party and the vendors brilliantly so that everyone knew where and when they needed to be somewhere.

Her team was phenomenal too. We had forgotten the paper airplanes for the grand exit and one of her team members drove to my house to collect them. It was over 100 miles round trip.

Felicia and her team were amazing. We used their services for a "Day of Package" but it included so much more! I planned our whole wedding with my mother's assistance, but felecia was always there to attend vendor meetings and to give sound advice stemming from her many years in consulting for weddings. Felicia made the month leading up to the wedding as stress free as possible which was very helpful for me also planning a move two days after the wedding. she took all of the supplies off my hands several days before the big day and ensured it was all taken down to DC. The Ceremony, Cocktail and Reception spaces looked amazing and the design plan was followed to the T! Her Team mates were lovely and life savers when we noticed one thing had been forgotten and they collected it! Her team even provided child care for our Reception which was lovely because it allowed a few of my family members with little ones a bit of a reprieve so they too could enjoy the festivities. (Some of the little ones usually have stranger danger, but they LOVED every second of it and were calm the whole evening).

Celebrations Made Simple is an absolutely fantastic planning and coordination service. We hired Felicia as a day-of coordinator, but she was so much more. She kept detailed checklists and timelines that helped us keep the wedding planning on track and would remind us to take care of planning items that we may have otherwise forgotten. Best money spent on the wedding! I hired Felicia and her team as our Day-Of Wedding Coordinator for our wedding. At times, she was my best resource and weapon in the planning process! I spoke to three other vendors before going with Celebrations Made Simple. Compared to the other vendors, CMS's value was the best. Over time, I came to learn that CMS is the best in the business not just bc of the value, but also the quality of service and how nice they are to work with. My advice to any bride and groom is that this is the best money you will spend money on your wedding! My only regret is that I didn't find CMS sooner in my planning process.

CMS was so awesome that we hired them for our newlywed brunch too. Again, they did an amazing job on back-to-back events, even though they had less than a month to prep for the brunch.

We interviewed three companies before hiring Celebrations Made Simple to provide day-of coordination services for our daughter's wedding. Felicia, the companies owner, so impressed us with her knowledge, experience, and warm personality, that we felt sure we would be in good and capable hands. Felicia far exceeded our expectations. My daughter and her husband are in the military far away. I (her mom) work long hours. Most of the wedding was arranged by email, texts, phone calls and Skype. Felicia normally answered our questions quickly - within a day or two. She recommended great vendors (flowers, deejay, photographer, baker, etc.) and negotiated good contracts for us, watching to make sure they were followed. She knew the tricks to save money and what difficulties to avoid. There's no doubt that she saved us more than she cost us. Felicia was even able to find us a minister who could do the service in Korean and English. She and her team from Celebrations Made Simple took care of us the day of the wedding, making sure all went well. The wedding was beautiful. Our only regret is that it is over! Felicia is literally the best. She gets the job done, she cares, and she is professional. Felicia went so above and beyond to make sure our wedding was perfect. I had the pleasure of hiring Felicia for my sister's wedding and my wedding. Felicia was a great asset during this very important time in my life. I saw how she worked with my sister 4 years prior and knew if I got married I would hire her again. Felicia wasn't just a Event Planner. She was my friend, adviser and stress reliever. She introduced me to her vendors that she works with on her many events. I didn't have to search on my own for a florist, videographer, photographer, cake maker, etc. She had a list of vendors and she introduced them to me and I selected the one that I thought would be the best for my special day. From beginning of planning my wedding to the very night of my honeymoon to the next day of returning tuxes, decorations and other items that we don't think about, Felicia was there. Even when I received the terrible news 3 months before my wedding that my bridal gown was never ordered by the Bridal Store I selected, she was there. Felicia and her team were THE reason our wedding was the wonderful event we hoped for. If you want someone who can coordinate all logistical aspects of planning an event, including recommending and coordinating meetings etc with vendors and with helping on the wedding day, I really don't think there is anyone else worth interviewing. She is an absolute pleasure to work with and we couldn't have done it without her.

Felicia and her team did an incredible job. From the very start we were impressed with Felicia's "I can do anything" attitude. Felicia was an important part of our planning; helping us choose vendors, make financial decisions and weigh our options. Felicia handled all of our RSVPs and helped coordinate lodging for all guests. In addition to day of coordination, Felicia ran the entire event (venue, f&b, managed staff, etc) as manager in our stead. I'm writing this review as my husband and I approach our one-year wedding anniversary. Though the year has quickly passed, the wonderful memories of our special day are as vivid as if it were yesterday. My husband and I currently work in Australia, yet we still consider the DC area as our home base. As such, we planned for our dream wedding to be back home, which presented all the inherent challenges of coordinating overseas.
And to make matters more difficult, figuring why wait, my husband and I moved our wedding date forward to align with our visit back home during the fall season, leaving us just 5 months to pull everything together. Immediately overwhelmed by all the research and logistics involved, I decided to find local DC help.

Enter Felicia.

The first thing that made me decide to go with Felicia was how easy it was for us to communicate. We could spend hours on the phone, and her speed in replying to emails made me feel like I was her only client. How she managed to provide such personal care while coordinating other weddings is beyond me. Being that phone and email were my only available forms of communication, I was sold. Felicia pulled together our vision of our dream wedding with ease and great care. I cannot adequately express how grateful and happy my husband and I were with Felicia's work. Plus, her support team was amazing throughout our wedding day. We felt 100% taken care of and she was really on top of absolutely everything. We could not have done it without her.

Felicia was an absolute blessing for our wedding. She handled absolutely everything and it truly was like my family and I were guests at our wedding. From the first time we met Felicia, who serves as the primary wedding coordinator, we knew we were in good hands. She guided and helped in every aspect of the planning process. She brought up aspects that we had not or would not of contemplated. She made planning the wedding for the bride and groom, and ourselves as parents, as stress-free as possible. We felt like a guest at our own daughter’s wedding on July 5, 2014. Felicia was absolutely wonderful! I hired her for "day of" event coordination and she exceeded my expectations. Felicia went on a site visit with me, put together the floor/seating plan, maintained contact with all of my vendors, and developed the schedule for the party. She made sure that I was able to be a guest and enjoy the anniversary party that we threw for our parents. Felicia is meticulous, punctual, extremely professional, and just an all around good person. Felicia was literally my brain throughout my wedding planning process. Everything I forgot she remembered, and then some! She was very professional, and knowledgeable about everything I needed to know. Every question I asked she knew, and responded back to all of my questions in more than a timely manner. All of the vendors she suggested were great!! The day of the rehearsal and the wedding day the Celebrations Made Simple staff was very attentive and friendly. They always checked on my husband and I, and worked very hard to make sure the wedding events stayed on schedule. I have not one single complaint about Felicia and her team. Everything about that day was very special, and we couldn't have done it without Felicia. She really did make all of our dreams come true!

From the moment our family contacted Felicia with CMS, we felt like we were being treated like royalty not simple country folks, My daughter who lives in a town three hours away had questions at odd hours as did we. My day had a million small details and all of them were executed perfectly. Any vendor issues that may have happened before or the day of(let's face it, every wedding has bumps) I was completely unaware as they were taken care of professionally and efficiently. The money we spent hiring Felicia, no matter what comes our way in the future, will rank as one of the best investments we've ever or ever will make. She ensured our special day went flawlessly - both in planning and in execution - and provided us with priceless peace of mind leading up to and during the wedding. Although we only asked - and paid for - month-of coordination, she went ABOVE AND BEYOND. From the moment we hired her about six months before the wedding, she basically acted as our wedding planner - sending us timelines and checklists every month just to follow-up. Just a few of the (sometimes off-the-wall) obstacles she skillfully negotiated:

-Formulating and executing a plan to deal with Swarmaggedon 2013 (cicadas!)
-Dealing with the bride's last minute stress because her invitations didn't fit into the pocket invitation about 6 weeks before the wedding
-Getting a discount for our linens even though our reception venue originally insisted on providing them at a higher price
-Double-checking all our price quotes so we weren't overpaying on anything (saved us over $150 when she caught that the vendors at the reception site didn't need to be included for extra appetizers or the open-bar count).

Our wedding – like your’s will be – was incredibly important to us. My husband had just returned from a deployment to Afghanistan prior to the wedding, we had family come in from overseas – who hadn’t all been together for years – and friends from across the country join us; they had all been waiting with us to celebrate this new beginning with us. From the moment we met Felicia, we knew she was the one to trust with this joyous, but stressful, occasion. There are no re-do’s on your wedding day. Felicia’s guidance in our preparation and supervision during the day-of made sure we’ll never have to wish for one.

One of the reasons we chose Felicia is because she is easy to get in touch with and she is very pleasant and professional. She is familiar with both the rural and city areas in the Virginia/DC Metro area, but she is also willing to travel. She has excellent interpersonal skills, which I found was necessary to avoid family drama during both the planning of the wedding and on the wedding day. What we found out later, is that Felicia is awesome! I am currently finishing my last year in medical school and had very limited time to plan our wedding. Felicia was very flexible. She managed to help us plan our full wedding in 3 months! She even helped me find my wedding gown, helped with narrowing down choices for venues based upon our vision of the wedding, and has become a dear friend to us. She kept us updated with upcoming decisions while preventing us from feeling overwhelmed by limiting the amount of decisions we had to make on a daily or weekly basis (depending on our short timeline). Through discounts with venues she saved us more money than the cost of her own services. The venues provided discounts, but also provided excellent services on our wedding day because they didn't want to look bad in front of Felicia because they know she is an excellent coordinator and they wanted to attain future business with her. My wedding cake and bridal bouquet exceeded my expectations! Our wedding day was both beautiful and so much fun! I wasn't worried about anything because Felicia made sure everything went smoothly. I would recommend every bride have Felicia coordinate their wedding because she is amazing!

Celebrations Made Simple was the best decision we made two weeks before our wedding day (3.16.2013). We had done most of the planning, but we needed a stage manager for the rehearsal and day of and Felicia and her staff were ready, willing and more than able to be the day of coordinator who allowed us to let go and enjoy our friends, family and wedding day party!! Before the wedding, Felicia was our guide in tying up all the loose ends - she inquired about issues we hadn't thought of (like a reminder about breaking in shoes before the wedding), kept us on task, provided an amazing timeline (I loved the timeline), provided a to scale summary of the floor plan and table assignments with dietary restrictions included (!!), helped us find beautiful bouquets and boutonnieres a week before the wedding, she already knew most of our vendors and had a great working relationship with them. The day of she was the go to person for all of our vendors re questions for set up, questions in general, she oversaw the setup and did a wonderful job with our simple centerpieces, she made sure Will and I were hydrated and fed, she kept us and the vendors updated and on schedule, she and her staff packed up our reception items making packing up much easier the next day ,I could go on and on. I really don't know what we would have done without her and her staff, THANK YOU!!!!! Plus Felicia is good people, easy to talk to and she was on her game despite being under the weather! Felicia and her staff exceeded our expectations at every phase, she made our lives easier that weekend allowing us to spend more time with our guests and we would highly recommend her and her staff to any couple looking for an incredibly competent and reassuring coordinator for their day. I used Celebrations Made Simple for day-of coordination. Boy, am I glad I did! Initially, I was skeptical about the value of hiring a professional coordinator for the wedding day. I had talked to a couple of coordinators who all but said my wedding was too small-time for their trouble. However, Felicia was focused on explaining what she offers and how her services might help me on my wedding day. From the start, Felicia was involved with my wedding; I was able to email Felicia with questions, and she would send reminders at various times to ensure I had completed certain planning tasks at the appropriate time. On the day of the wedding, Felicia's detailed timeline helped keep us on time and on track. Most impressive of all was the fact that Felicia had one of her assistants give my bridesmaids a ride back to the hotel after it looked like they would be stranded at the venue after the wedding. I would definitely recommend Celebrations Made Simple to any bride.

Celebratons Made Simple was the best choice we made to plan our daughter's wedding. It was our first wedding and she calmly and professionaly helped us through all the major and minor decisions that we had to make. Felicia has a wide and varied network of vendors to work with providing us with choices that were creative and unique as well a cost effective. Our venue was spectacular and we never would have found it without her. She is also a LOT of FUN! The wedding weekend went without a hitch and we all had a wonderful time. The night before our wedding, one of our friends asked how I was feeling, to which I responded, "I'm relaxed and I feel great!" Our ability to relax and enjoy the rehearsal, wedding, and our next-day picnic is in large part thanks to Celebrations Made Simple, Felicia in particular, and her fantastic staff.
We used Celebrations Made Simple's Comprehensive Service Package (planning, theme, budget, help with vendors, contract negotiation/review, timelines, ridiculously awesome responsiveness, consultations, invitation mailing and RSVP management, day-of coordination, and general herding of cats). After everything CMS helped us with (including A LOT of communicating and occasional problem solving with vendors on our behalf), I am honestly not sure how people plan their own weddings. Felicia was there with us every step of the way, keeping us on track with reminders (buying a dress, paying vendor deposits, scheduling fittings, etc.). She was also very skillful at arranging meetings around crazy work and travel schedules. CMS had everything covered and we really were able to enjoy our entire wedding weekend. The only thing I was responsible for on the wedding day was to wake up and get myself to the Bride Beautification Station (hair and makeup suite at our hotel). CMS provided exceptional service!! We cannot say enough about how fantastic it was to work with Felicia. In fact, we miss her now that the wedding is over. :o)

My husband and I agree that our wedding and reception wouldn't have been the wonderful, memorable event it was without Felicia. She was organized, professional, warm but always kept us on track. I don't think we could even do her justice with a 10 page dissertation on "Our exceptional wedding planner". Here's my attempt: Felicia always made us feel like we were her number one priority. She answered emails immediately and always treated our concerns as important even when we realized that they might be frivolous or just wedding jitters. She would take tasks off of our hands beyond what she had agreed saying "This is your day and I'm going to make sure it's right". Felicia always presented fabulous vendors with a variety of choices so if we didn't know what we wanted at first, it would be fairly obvious in the end. Finally, while people will often comment on the food, band, cake, etc... how many time have you heard guests say "Wow, you have a wonderful planner!" In the end, we heard it multiple times and agree whole heartedly. Our event was better than we ever could have dreamed and Felicia and her team worked tirelessly every minute to make it happen!

My wedding would have been cancelled if it wasn't for Celebration Made Simple! Felicia and her staff were able to save the day and not stress me out so I could enjoy my day. I hired Felicia over a year ago with only an engagement ring and a list of don't wants but no clear vision of what I did want. She was able to make my vague dreams a reality! She was there every step of the way from venue selection to invitations to party favors! She was ALWAYS patient and made sure I was comfortable. Of all the money I spent on our wedding she was by far the best money spent! Felicia made sure our event was flawless.
