I would absolutely recommend Castle Hill to anyone who asked me about wedding venues. Lisa Cormier was amazing throughout the entire process -- they have a phenomenal system that makes for a perfect day. Lisa and her team were willing to help us out with whatever we needed. Whether it was changes to chairs, tweaks to the ceremony setup, flower adjustments -- they were amazing. We did both our ceremony and reception at Castle Hill and they nailed both of them. So organized, efficient and well done. Lisa has an answer to every question you may have and knows the venue like the back of her hand. Leading up to the wedding, she was also amazing, helping us work through food questions and changes, room assignments, and really any logistical matter. She and her staff know the area and its vendors extremely well. Her recommendations and help with others we were working with made our lives all the more easier. If there was a question or topic we were forgetting, Lisa made sure we didn't. Thanks to her we never felt overwhelmed or nervous. Most importantly, the area took on historic flooding less than one week before our wedding -- Lisa was communicative and helpful through it all. She never made a rash decision or jumped to any conclusions during the process. We took it one day at a time together and we will be forever grateful for the way she handled our event in the midst of a serious weather event taking place. When they expected rain just a day or two before the wedding once again, the Castle Hill team hand dug a trench around the reception tent to drain water in case they experienced further flooding!!! I'm not sure how many venues would have worked with us to make the event run as planned, let alone dig a trench to help the tent stay dry, but Castle Hill did so without us even requesting it. They truly went above and beyond for us in every regard. Lisa and her team are absolutely amazing and I am so thankful that we had both our wedding ceremony and reception here. If you are looking to get married at a beautiful venue with incredible people helping you every step of the way, Castle Hill should be at the top of your list. There is no one better as far as we are concerned!

We couldn't recommend the Castle enough. Lisa (Director of Sales) was so incredibly helpful every step of the way. This turned out to be our dream venue, at a reasonable price. Being able to have the whole Castle for the wedding party and parents gave us a truly intimate experience. The food tasted even better the day of the wedding than it did when we had the tasting, and it was fantastic already! A beautiful venue with a ton of heart!

Our Castle Hill wedding was absolutely perfect, even with the less-than-ideal weather. To start, working with Lisa and Kelly truly made the experience. Lisa did such a great job coordinating all the details - from my vendor arrivals to moving guests along, and even handling snafus as they popped up. Because of her and Kelly's coordination, our entire bridal party was able to fully relax, enjoy the day, and not worry about the details.

The Castle itself was also incredibly beautiful. Every little detail was taken care of, and we were more or less allowed to have free reign of the area to arrange it all perfectly to our vision. Having the Castle as our home base made the weekend - from hanging out in the lobby the night of the rehearsal to getting ready in the bridal suite, it was just unbelievable. The cocktail hour was held in the Castle too, so all our guests got to enjoy it's beauty. The ceremony location is gorgeous with picturesque views, and despite the light rain, there were enough trees surrounding us that we were able to pull off the planned outdoor ceremony. On top of all that, the tent was stunning - it had plenty of space, tasteful decor, and beautiful chandeliers that were statement pieces.

The food was amazing. We had multiple guests tell us it was not only the best wedding food they'd had, but some even went so far as to say the filet was the best they'd EVER had. The appetizers and salads were delicious, too. We also loved the fact that nearly all of our wedding guests were able to stay on site with the Pointe and the Condos right there for our use. It made it so transportation was not something we even needed to think about. Overall, we truly are so happy we chose Castle Hill Resort and Spa for our wedding weekend. It was absolutely magical from start to finish.

I honestly don't know where to start, but if you're looking to have a fairytale, picturesque wedding – this is the place. I got married on September 21, 2019 and it was perfect. The venue is amazing, featuring a gorgeous Castle, and instagram-worthy tent with gorgeous chandeliers, and a garden that looks like fairies might fly out to greet you.
Beyond the visual appeal of the venue, the people that work there go above and beyond to make your weekend special. Lisa was a huge draw to us choosing this venue - when we met her she was kind, yet honest about what we'd be able to do with our wedding weekend. She was easily accessible via text and email whenever I had questions throughout the year leading up to my wedding. The weekend of the wedding she was on top of everything and my day-of coordinator, Kelly, was equally as prepared. We had a huge wedding with close to 200 people and everything went off without a hitch!
The food was amazing - just as good as the day we did taste tests! Every single server on staff was super sweet and accommodating. We have a sick uncle who had to go back to his room after the ceremony, and the staff sent the reception meal down to his room at the Pointe Hotel! If that's not going above and beyond, I don't know what is.
I was also a very hands-on bride and they were completely okay with that! I was able to go into the tent and set things up as I wanted, but they also made it clear that they could do all of that for me if I wanted.
I truly can't recommend Castle Hill Resort and Spa enough!

I got married here on 8/17/19 and would do anything to go back to the most amazing perfect day! Castle Hill was a magical place that offered everything you could want for a dream wedding. It allowed your wedding party to stay in the castle which gives you a close knit feel while providing other guest a normal sized hotel right down the hill so everyone was at the site for the wedding. Lisa is the most amazing person ever and worked with my family and I to get us everything we wanted and more. She was flexible and was willing to work with us to make our dream wedding come true. I got compliments on the food from every single guest. The chef listened to our recommendations and over performed. Everything about this weekend was perfect. Weather was a lurking issue, but Lisa made sure we did everything possible to get me my outdoor wedding and she did. Thank you so much, there are not enough words to express my gratitude!!!!!!!

Our wedding was the most amazing event because of the professionalism, and personalized care we received from the staff. My husband and I, as well as our guests, were treated like royalty. We absolutely loved our late August wedding at the Castle! During this time of year, the grounds were absolutely breathtaking (and the weather was PERFECT!). Lisa, the wedding coordinator, has successfully run weddings here for years and was a pleasure to work with. She is the one and only wedding coordinator at this venue and was extremely cooperative and flexible!
Their food was exceptional. Our wedding guests are still raving about the tournedos of beef! We also loved the opportunity to taste several options before choosing our menu items. We chose the Royal Celebration package which included open bar and were very satisfied with the pricing in comparison to other venues.
On the day of the wedding, the staff was wonderful to work with. They truly went above and beyond their duties for all of us! We also loved Kelly who helped coordinate the evening of the wedding and brunch the following day.
We opted to provide brunch for our guests the following morning in the Castle and this surpassed our expectations. It was set up beautifully for our guests and we loved having this option to spend more time with family and friends.

Our wedding at Castle Hill couldn't have gone any better! From the start Lisa, the wedding coordinator, was responsive, gave us advice from previous weddings, and helped us feel prepared for our wedding weekend! We met with her in person at different times before the wedding (including once when I had a broken ankle and needed accommodations to get around!).

The staff was also great. Our families and friends felt accommodated for, and spent time at both the Pointe Hotel and received services at the Spa. It was a comfort to know that everyone there made sure we were all taken care of.

I also had my makeup and nails done at the Spa, and everything was perfect. From trial runs to the day before couples massage, if you're looking for a beautiful location where everyone can spend time celebrating this is the right spot. We're so happy that we chose Castle Hill for a perfect weekend!

My husband and I were married at the Castle Hill on August 1, 2015. When we began our search for a venue, the Castle Hill was the very first one we looked at. It made such an impression, after just seeing a few more we knew this was “the one” and we secured our date. The location is amazingly beautiful and such a wonderful place to have a complete weekend with guests. In addition to the Castle and gardens, the Castle Hill has a wedding coordinator, Lisa, who helps with every step of the way. From the first day we looked at the Castle, Lisa was communicative and helpful; our wedding wouldn’t have been the same without her there. Her expertise and knowledge from working so many years for the same location was immensely helpful, as we were planning the wedding from across the country. From the first day we took a tour, to the food tasting, to the actual wedding day, Lisa took control of every situation and made sure it went perfect!

The food is also amazing! We knew food was an important factor for our wedding, and after reading reviews and speaking with Lisa about the chef Alfonso we were comfortable booking. After going in for our food tasting (which was beautifully set in the private dining room) with my parents and siblings, we were so excited. The food was excellent, the variety of appetizers was impressive, and the dishes were all so good! We chose a duet of filet and lobster tail for our main entrée, and on our actual wedding day, the food was equally as impressive, and did not change in quality at all. We also chose to do a next-day breakfast to see off our guests, and the spread they provided was equally as impressive.
The Castle Hill Resort exceeded our expectations, and is now such a special place to us, we couldn’t have asked for a better place to have our wedding. We plan to go back to celebrate our anniversaries, and of course see Lisa!

Lisa Cormier at the Castle is the epitome of the most reliable, personable and professional wedding planner there is. Lisa worked feverishly for several months to make sure EVERY detail was thought through and a plan in place to execute successfully on the big day. Everything went without a hitch - and the day was flawless. Having our wedding at the Castle was truly a dream come true. Every person on staff at the Castle for the entire weekend was determined to make sure our day/s was perfect. Our family and friends had an amazing time and all thought our choice to have our wedding at the Castle the very best choice by far. The Castle is an absolutely magical place to have a wedding. Everything was perfect, the staff was wonderful and the food was amazing. We heard from numerous guests that it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding.

Our wedding at the Castle was perfect!! Lisa and team and all the staff at the Castle were so attentive to our needs and an absolute pleasure to work with. We had the best weekend of our lives and all of guests say that it was the best wedding they have ever attended. We cannot wait to come back and visit our new friends at the castle!!

Lisa is a joy to work with. She sincerely cares about not only her "bride" but made every guest of ours feel totally welcome.
The chef Alfonso accommodated our requests and the food was absolutely perfect. If we ever renew our vows, it will be there. My husband and I stop in often to see Lisa and she has continued to be a great friend to us.
We stayed at the Castle for two nights with our parents and bridal party.We had the entire estate completely to ourselves. I cannot convey how relaxing it was.
I am so glad we had our rehearsal dinner at the Castle, because as much as we loved the wedding, the rehearsal dinner may have been our favorite thing. We had a delicious poolside BBQ. During that time I remember looking around and thinking to myself how special it was to have the most important people in our lives all TOGETHER sharing laughs, swimming, soaking and being anything BUT stressed.
Everything that happened at the Castle was nothing less than remarkable.
We were looking for a place where we did not have to worry about anything so we could enjoy the day and our guests as best we could, everything went smoothly and we had the time of our lives.
If you are looking for a place where literally all you have to do is "show up"..... this is the place. Our day was nothing less than spectacular. I feel our money was well spent, we were treated fairly and I cannot thank everyone enough.

Everything was just perfect for the wedding, rehearsal dinner, and morning after brunch. The location is stunning, the food is amazing, and the wedding planner, Lisa, is fabulous to work with. I couldn't have been happier and highly recommend!

Fabulous venue and wonderful wedding coordinator. Both my sister and I got married at The Castle because it was such a wonderful experience the first time.

The perfect wedding venue. My fiancé and I had a 16-person micro-wedding at Castle Hill Inn and it could not have gone better. Lindsay Chapin was amazing and incredibly helpful in making sure everything went as planned. The venue itself was probably the most beautiful spot I could possibly have imagine for our wedding. The food was amazing. Our cake came out perfectly and looked basically identical to the picture we sent them. The staff was great, friendly, and incredibly attentive We all loved Carl!

Lisa is absolutely wonderful to work with. She is patient and knows how to get a wedding off without a hitch. The venue is lovely and they really go the extra mile to make sure you feel taken care of during the wedding weekend. Food was incredible, the tasting was so much fun! The only small complaint I had is that the spa attached to the castle is overpriced. everything else is pretty reasonable as far as cost goes and they really are willing to flex to make your day special.

The Castle Hill Resort is a stunning location for a wedding. I wanted an outdoor garden wedding and it was perfect - the landscaping is breathtaking and the tent is beautiful and very spacious. Having a permanent floor in the tent was also more elegant and great for my grandmother who uses a wheelchair and walker. The food was delicious and the staff helped everything run smoothly. I only wish it wasn't over so fast!

The Castle Hill Resort and Spa is in Proctorsville, Vermont and is an unique place to have a wedding. It has a beautiful inn, The Castle" which has 10 rooms to stay inn that are gorgeous. When you have your wedding here you have the entire place to yourself and your guests which makes the experience just that much better. From the first time I met with the wedding planner at the castle until the day of our wedding she was nothing but accommodating and professional. She was able to answer any questions I had asked or emailed her. The staff the day of was also great. The food was amazing and the chef is very detailed orientated.

Lisa at Castle Hill was fantastic! The venue was definitely pricy, but everything from the rehearsal, to the reception tent, to the food was AMAZING! Everyone kept telling us how the location was absolutely beautiful, and that the food was the best wedding food they'd ever had. Lisa helped to make my day everything I could dream of and more...and as far as I know, it all went off without a hitch!

I went to the Aveda Spa for a gel manicure, regular pedicure, and lower leg waxing 2 days before my wedding, on Thursday morning May 22, 2014 at 10am. I do not remember of the associate's name who assisted me while there, but she was very nice and thorough and knowledgeable, and as we got to talking she mentioned she was getting married later in 2014 which of course I was so happy to hear! She was spectacular! My nails lasted for about 3-3.5 weeks, my toes a bit longer. There were a few missed spots on my legs but that was okay I just did not want to have to be shaving constantly while in Montreal the following week. I do also recall that it was a bit of a long walk up a hill to the spa from the main parking area down below, so I exacerbated my sprained ankle at the time (my own fault for moving furniture into a new apartment about 2 weeks before the wedding-I don't recommend that). I hope to go back again and try the pool next time as it is heated too!

As for the restaurant and the hotel, haven't eaten or stayed at either yet but we go up every summer in July so we may at some point. Our family friends went to the restaurant for their one year wedding anniversary about 4 years back and they said the food was great.

I saw someone's recent review that was disappointed in lack of cell service here...um, it's Vermont, that's kind of the point of getting away you know? I find it liberating! Despite this, cell reception has gotten better in the Ludlow/Okemo region the last few years, I have Verizon and I've noticed now it's really really tough to completely remove your cell off the grid as of 2015.
