As a very Type A, organized person, I had always thought I would plan my own wedding. However, when actually faced with the task, my husband and I decided that hiring a planner would be a worthwhile investment given our busy work schedules and the fact that we do not live in Washington, DC where our wedding celebration was held. Throughout our search for a planner, Caroline made herself available to answer our questions. We felt extremely confident choosing to work with her given the time she gave us as prospective clients, and I can now say that partnering with Caroline was the single best decision we made for our wedding.
Caroline planned our rehearsal dinner, as well as our wedding ceremony and reception, and ensured that all events went off without a hitch. Her expert planning ensured our wedding events felt cohesive and were breathtakingly beautiful. Our guests are still talking about all aspects of our celebration, from the biggest items (e.g., stunning floral installations) to the tiniest details (e.g., pillows embroidered with our wedding monogram at our reception). As we look back on our entire wedding weekend, there is not a single thing that we can say did not go according to plan and we know, without a doubt, that it is because of Caroline, her team, and the expert group of vendors she assembled for us.
Throughout the planning process, Caroline was extremely responsive despite our numerous emails, texts, and calls. She always put us at ease, seamlessly negotiating any challenges that arose (e.g., changes in the contact person at our venue), and shared our growing excitement as our big day approached. Most importantly, when our wedding finally arrived, Caroline ensured that a normally anxious and high-strung couple was able to completely relax and enjoy every second of our wedding weekend. In fact, our guests consistently commented that they have never seen a happier or more calm couple! We, along with our parents and bridal parties, felt like VIPs all day long. Caroline and her team anticipated every need we had, ensuring there was not a single thing we had to worry about other than enjoying the day. This was particularly important to my husband and me, as we wanted our parents to be able to focus on sharing this special occasion with us rather than having to make sure things were proceeding according to plan.
We recommend Caroline with the utmost confidence and know that she will work together with you to create a wedding celebration that will surpass even your wildest dreams. While I miss interacting with Caroline almost daily, I am so happy to now call her my friend and I will excitedly continue to watch her work her magic for all of the couples who are lucky enough to collaborate with her! -

In all honesty, if Caroline was not there, every step of the way, the evening would’ve been a disaster! Her taste is impeccable, she really takes time to understand your vision, and I simply am obsessed with her! She made the actual night of the party SO FUN & stress-free for me and the planning/coordination a breeze! -

My husband and I chose the "Coordination" or month-of package when we hired Caroline and it was hands down the BEST investment we made throughout the whole wedding process. Although we went with the month-of option, Caroline was there for me whenever I had a question about the wedding planning process or if I needed a good recommendation for a vendor. It was amazing to have that guidance throughout. A month-out from the wedding, Caroline took the reins with all vendor management and created amazingly detailed timelines for the vendors, my family, and the wedding party - it was SO helpful! The day-of was absolutely FLAWLESS because of Caroline and her team and I felt ZERO stress starting a month out from the wedding - it was so nice to have especially during such a crazy time! I trusted her completely and knew that she understood my vision and what I wanted my wedding day to be like. I highly recommend Caroline and her team and have told all my friends getting married that this was the best investment we made :) Thank you soooo much CDE!!! xo
P.S. Anytime I mentioned to a vendor that I was working with Caroline, they immediately told me how great she was and how much they enjoyed working with her! It's definitely a bonus to work with a wedding planner who is well-known and highly liked among the other vendors in the DMV area :) -

I am (very) type A and particular, so I was nervous to hand over the control one month before our wedding and let someone else take over with the final details, coordination, and vendor communication. Our venue had an in-house coordinator, but I wanted an additional person (Caroline Dutton) to allow for me to take a step back from the planning and enjoy the last month of our engagement--and most importantly, our wedding day. This decision made the final month enjoyable, and Caroline took control to ensure that the rehearsal, ceremony, and reception was perfect. No matter how many curveballs or requests were thrown her way, Caroline made it happen. Caroline’s attention to detail and unbelievably professional (and friendly!) customer service makes her a must-hire. My husband and I were so lucky to work with Caroline and her team! -
User2405801 Sent on 11/02/2015Caroline is a force of nature and an absolute joy to work with. We hired her just about a month before our wedding realizing that we still had many details to work out. Caroline quickly and seamlessly took everything off our hands while providing us with valuable insights and suggestions. We had no shortage of last-minute modifications and Caroline kept perfect track of everything. She helped us to economically source our remaining decor, led us through our entire rehearsal, put together beautiful displays on the day of the wedding (on top of coordinating every logistical detail), and even took the time to touch-up my hair and tie my bustle, all while radiating calmness and professionalism. If Caroline says she will do something, you can be 150% sure it will get done and get done beautifully. -

Our wedding was an outdoor ceremony and reception at our home and it would not have gone nearly as smoothly without Caroline! From the first emails and our first meeting, I knew Caroline was the right person to have as my day-of coordinator. Her personality is perfect for this type of job - she thrives on helping others and her detail-orientedness and organization makes her excel at making sure everything goes as it should. Although I tried to make my "to-do list" easy for Caroline, I definitely gave her a LOT to take care of, and she went above and beyond to make sure the wedding was as perfect as it could be. Our wedding was amazing and everything went so well! I cannot thank Caroline enough for all her help in making our day flow as well as it did! :) -
