Katie is the BEST!
Katie was hands down the best money we spent on our wedding. She gave me what I am affectionally calling my princess fairytale dream wedding that was beyond even my wildest imagination. I had a vibe in my head but no idea how to bring it to life. Katie nailed it. Her relationships with other local vendors alone is worth her fee. She was there every step of the way, even when I didn't expect her to be. She is knowledgeable, responsive, and runs a tight ship on wedding day. My wedding day was perfect, and if there was anything that wasn't perfect, I have literally no idea about it so Katie clearly did her job. I cannot recommend Katie/Bubbly Events more highly to any other Wilmington brides!! -

We had the absolute pleasure of working with Katie Lange and her amazing team at Bubbly Events for our wedding on October 11, 2025, and I truly cannot imagine our day without her. From the very beginning, Katie was incredibly communicative, organized, and thoughtful, but what really stood out was how genuinely supportive and invested she was in making our wedding everything we hoped it would be. The very first question she asked us was what our priorities were...not anyone else’s opinions or just a generic “vision”...and that set the tone for everything that followed in the best way.
In the three months leading up to the wedding, her guidance became even more invaluable. She helped us navigate every detail with such calm confidence, always making us feel like we were in the very best hands. From table settings to lighting, DJ recommendations to signage - no question was too small, and no detail was ever overlooked.
The week of our wedding brought an unexpected challenge, a nor’easter rolled in and completely changed our plans. We had to move our cocktail hour indoors, and what could have been a stressful scramble turned into a completely seamless transition thanks to Katie. She coordinated with all of our vendors, handled every logistical detail, and made the entire situation feel effortless from our perspective. Because of her, I was able to stay present and actually enjoy the days leading up to our wedding, which is something I’ll always be grateful for.
On the day itself, Katie was not only incredibly professional and on top of everything, but also so fun, warm, and full of positive energy. Not just me and Pearson, our entire wedding party absolutely adored her. She brought the best vibe to the day and made everyone feel comfortable, taken care of, and ready to celebrate.
Honestly, I wish we could do it all over again just so we could spend more time working with Katie (and her really cute dogs!). She is truly exceptional at what she does, and even more importantly, she is a genuinely wonderful person. She made our wedding day feel magical, smooth, and completely stress-free. We cannot recommend her highly enough! -

When I first started planning my wedding, I knew I wanted to book a planner early on. I was nervous, of course, because I wanted to make sure I made the right decision when picking the person to help me organize one of the biggest days of my life. After reaching out to several people, I got a return email from Katie & Bubbly & she helped me set up our initial phone call. We were on the phone for 5 minutes & I knew she was it! I still feel that working with her was one of the best decisions I made in all of the chaos of wedding planning.
I truly struggle coming up with the words to say just how amazing Katie is. She is so easy to talk to, prompt with her communications, always reassuring when things get stressful & is full of important advice for the novice planner. She helped me work through my sticker shock & gave me realistic ideas of a possible budget. On wedding day, I never felt like anything was going to go wrong because I fully trusted that she had everything under control. Even when my dress got a small makeup stain on the train, she sat down behind me, scrubbed it out & handled it with ease. No issues (at least that I knew of lol). Our family & friends talked about her for weeks after wedding day & were, to say the least, very impressed at how orderly & organized things flowed.
I could go on & on but essentially I’m saying, hire her to help you plan your special day. You will not regret it. We honestly could not have done it without her & appreciate all of the hard work she put in for us. 10/10, highly recommend! Thank you Katie & Bubbly ❤️ -

Wow. How do we even attempt to describe how beyond brilliant Katie is and how essential Bubbly Events is to planning the big day. What she did for us and how she gave us the most unforgettable wedding day is hard to put into a simple review. We’re going to try, but simply chat with Katie and you’ll begin to see! Our first meeting with her was an eye-opener to the planning process, but she calmly begin navigating us through it all with complete ease. She is such a genuine person and her professionalism is first-rate. There isn’t anything Katie doesn’t think of (usually before you) and that she doesn’t take care of (some you’re not even aware of until afterwards) with supreme efficiency! From her easy going demeanor to her detail-oriented mind, she knows all the right questions to ask to make sure you are covering everything. She fits around you and your process all the while gently keeping you on track - with two brides this was no small task. She does it all with joy because there is no doubt that this is her passion and she loves every bit of it. Everyone loves her and we mean everyone. . There was not a single other vendor that didn’t praise her work and adore Katie! Honestly, her presence throughout the venue was the most assuring thing that every part of the wedding would run smoothly. It did 🤍 We wouldn’t have had our day be as amazing or worry-free without Katie and her team. An awesome wedding wrangler as our families agreed! Truly, she is the best. Hire her. Katie is the true total package in a wedding planner. She gave us fantastic advice, kept us organized, and stayed in constant communication throughout the entire process. Like most COVID-wedding couples, our time with Katie was rather extended due to changing timelines and dates. Katie graciously took on 3x what we had originally expected of her, working with us through constantly evolving family, ceremony, safety, guest count and vendor dynamics. Everything was met with positivity and flexibility; she remained graceful and solution oriented the entire time in service of us being able to have a truly memorable wedding.
It’s also clear to us that not only do her clients love her, but other vendors enjoy working with her. She was able to leverage existing relationships and experience that kept everyone informed and on the same page despite changing details and needs. It felt so reassuring to hear other vendors say “Katie? I love working with her!” every time we informed them of our full vendor team.
Something that particularly stood out to us was her ability to make decisions that kept the day stress free. When we opted for a last-minute tent during cocktail hour, Katie made sure it still matched the vision of the overall day by adding lighting and maximizing the layout. When we forgot to return our cake stand rental after the event, she graciously went out of her way to return it for us. She even helped plan a surprise ring exchange with the Groom and made sure the right jewelry made its way into pre-ceremony photos. Prepared for anything, she made sure all the small details came together in the end. We truly can’t thank her enough! -

There will be no way to say enough about Katie and her team. Katie essentially planned THREE weddings with me. We were 2 weeks away from our original date when the pandemic hit and everything shut down. Katie helped us to reschedule all of our vendors and calm my crazy as we all figured out how to navigate the new situation. When our second date couldn't happen either, Katie did it all AGAIN without blinking an eye! This girl deserves like 100 gold medals and 400 bottles of wine! Finally on our actual day, she made sure everything was absolute perfection, I had zero stress, and the day was exactly as we had planned. Plus she is just the cutest and sweetest thing ever. Thank you Katie for everything!! We could not have made it through all of this craziness without you!! -

First let me say that it's criminal how long it's taken me to write this review. I am not exaggerating when I say there aren't enough stars in the world to describe Bubbly Events. Katie is 100% the only reason we were able to get married. We started working together before the pandemic hit and she was awesome right away. As the state started shutting down, she was in constant contact with us letting us know what her thoughts were/what we should do. Our original plan was to get married in May (with about 125 people) and we rescheduled it to July. Katie took care of everything - she coordinated all the vendors, the contracts, EVERYTHING. As the months progressed, we realized that it would be unsafe (and illegal) to host the event as it was planned original. Katie helped us coordinate moving to a smaller venue and rescheduling all the vendors AGAIN. She fielded all my hysterical emails and phone calls and seamlessly transitioned everything to our new venue. She was there walking us through our rehearsal and on our wedding day. She supervised our décor and layout (beautiful), she made sure vendors and guests were following safety protocols, and she set up our Zoom call so our friends/family could watch our live stream. Most importantly, she was just THERE. She was 100% engaged in our wedding weekend. Like you know it's her job but it also felt like having a real good friend there, too. She solved problems before they even thought about being problems. She is so organized and efficient. She kept me from being a whirling dervish which is 100% my vibe. Her staff was friendly and helpful. She knows everyone in the wedding community in Wilmington and exactly what needs to be done. All that to say, Katie is the best investment you could make for your wedding!!

I booked Katie Lange to be my wedding coordinator, and it was the best decision I made in my entire wedding process! From the first conversation I had with her, she was so professional and on top of things, and that was the trend throughout the months leading up to my wedding. My wedding was July 10, and there was so much uncertainly with COVID-19, but Katie remained flexible and optimistic that my wedding would be able to happen -- and it did! Katie did SO much the day before my wedding and on my wedding day. She thought of every detail, and there was literally nothing that I had to worry about. It was so nice to be able to relax and enjoy my wedding day and know that she was on top of things -- from running the rehearsal to set up and decorating on the wedding day, to keeping things running time wise, to cleaning up after the event, she took care of everything! She even made sure that we got appetizers from cocktail hour and brought us our dinner plates so we actually got a chance to eat at our wedding -- which was incredible! She also sent me a bunch of pictures the day after my wedding so I could have a chance to look back on parts of the day -- which was so special! She did a truly amazing job as a coordinator, and I was so thankful that she came highly recommended by my venue. If you book Katie to be your coordinator, you will absolutely not regret it! She is wonderful!!! -

We hired Bubbly Events for my daughter’s wedding which was held in August 6, 2020. Our wedding venue was Wrightsville Manor. Due to the Covid restrictions we had to change a lot of the wedding details. Katie from Bubbly Events was absolutely amazing. She was on top of everything. Anytime we had a question or a change of an idea, she responded within minutes. She was able to accommodate everything that we needed and she kept in touch with the vendors continuously. On the day of the wedding everything ran absolutely perfect. She sees the things that we would have easily missed, like getting areas free from any clutter for the videographers and photographers. She kept us on time for each event without ever making us feel rushed. The day of the wedding was so stress-free. The entire wedding party just basically breezed through without a care really. She did all of the thinking for us! I wish I could hire her for my day-to-day life! It would definitely run smoother if I could! I will never ever try to organize a large event again without the expertise of Katie and Bubbly Events! -

If you are looking for the best wedding planner out there, look no further! Katie is absolutely amazing! Throughout the entire planning process she answered any questions I had without delay. She had so many amazing vendors to recommend and pointed me in the right direction when I had no idea what I was doing. There was rain in the forecast for our wedding day but Katie had everything handled and kept me calm. It did end up raining on our wedding day, for the entire day, but Katie kept everything running smoothly and I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day! We hired Katie for our September wedding at Wrightsville Manor. After one phone conversation, I knew Katie would be the perfect fit for our day, especially because she came highly recommended by our venue.
Leading up to our wedding day, Katie was extremely organized, very responsive, and helped us work through things we wouldn't have otherwise thought about. On our wedding day, she absolutely NAILED my design vision and was always one step ahead of us for the entire day. Everything started on time, and everyone felt so cared for. I felt like I had a friend with me all day which was so important to me as a bride! Even my whole family commented on how attentive and organized Katie was and how perfect the whole day went. Working with Katie was the best thing I could have done for myself in planning my wedding. After reading rave reviews from other clients and talking to her on the phone for 30 minutes, I knew I wanted to work with her. The things I specifically liked about working with Katie:
1. She was very honest with me about which package to select (she actually dissuaded me from getting partial planning and told me I'd only need month-of-planning).
2. Her pricing was the most competitive I was able to find and was outlined clearly on her wedding wire page.
3. Despite the fact that I picked a monthly package, she communicated with me for nine months leading up to my wedding and answered questions big and small.
4. She has a team of people who work for her so she's able to attend the rehearsal and coordinate with vendors, the wedding party and photographers on the day-of.
5. She's worked with everyone in town, so in the weeks leading up to the wedding, she took over all communication with my vendors so that I could focus on my own small tasks.
Katie made me feel completely at ease in the lead up to and on the day of my wedding. I cannot recommend her highly enough! -

I have now been married for exactly 1 week and I owe it all to Katie! What an incredible person. From the moment you meet Katie you know you’ve made the best decision. I had the monthly coordination package, and when I realized how great working with Katie feels, I immediately wished I had picked the partial or full planning packages because she is just so talented and organized! Whenever I was stressed out about something or didn’t know what to do, I always turned to Katie. She quickly provided incredible advice, was extremely patient with my indecision, and continued to calm all my nerves. Whenever we needed a quantity change from one of my vendors, Katie would say “don’t worry, I’ll take care of it,” which when you are stressed out about work and other aspects of the wedding, is the best thing to hear. Katie was always willing to talk on the phone or meet in town to discuss wedding to do’s, and I never had to worry that I was forgetting anything because Katie has it all covered. On wedding day, when we realized that I was 6 tables short on my menu cards, Katie immediately goes “don’t worry, I’ll take care of it,” and when I came out for my reception, every single table had menu cards, as she had found a print shop to do it within a few hours. She is a miracle worker! But most of all, Katie is not only an incredible professional, she feels like a friend you have known for a very long time and you can trust her 100% to pull of the most incredible wedding. 11/10, I would always recommend working with her! -

You know you did good when every time another vendor asks who your coordinator is and you tell them Katie Lange they say "Oh good! We love her."
Katie was so easy to meet with and talk to. She answered all my questions even months before the wedding (hired her as month of coordination). And our month out meeting set all my nerves on chill.
She is a force of calm at the wedding and rehearsal. I had lost my list of decorations to give her with the decor but she put together our wedding better than I imagined. She and her team are absolutely incredible and I am so glad we got to work with Bubbly! -

Katie surpassed all of my wedding coordinator expectations by a long shot! I had no idea where to begin choosing a day-of coordinator so I just started at the top of my venue's recommended list of coordinators and Bubbly Events was the first and ONLY one I made it through. From our very first meeting, I KNEW Katie was perfect! She honestly reminded me of myself in terms organization and type A personality, which is exactly what you need when planning a wedding. She understood me on every level and she could almost take the thoughts out of my head and tell me what I wanted and needed and how I should go about doing it. I have never met anyone that could do that so I was thrilled when the stars aligned and brought me to her! She is detail oriented and extremely organized. She is not afraid to take charge and tell people what to do and when to do it. She is the reason my wedding was absolutely FLAWLESS in terms of timeline and execution. I would recommend her ten times over! She is so reasonably priced for the amount of perfection and professionalism she provides. My husband also planned a surprise for me at the end of our reception and Katie played it off perfectly... she even planned the whole thing for him once he planted he idea! Her personality radiates positivity and "Bubbly" could not be more perfect for her and her business. We loved Katie and Bubbly Events!!! -

After our first in person visit, he walked away saying "hiring her was on the the best decisions we made" and that was BEFORE the actual wedding. I can tell you that statement proved to be very accurate through the whole wedding planning & event with Katie and her team. Even when I spoke to other vendors, they always had great things to say about Bubbly Events. Don't even second guess if you need a wedding planner because YOU DO and I would highly recommend this team to any soon to be married couple. While we opted for the "month of" because I felt comfortable with handling the back end of the planning work, I didn't want my family or friends having to worry about decorating, running the show or fixing any problems day of. That's where Katie helped take all of the stress away, Being a control freak myself, sometimes its hard to give up the reigns but, I felt totally confident letting Katie take the lead. She helped us make some of those hard decisions and always made sure we were on track with planning and our day of timeline. Leah Sent on 01/08/2018Katie is awesome! She definitely puts the 'bubbly' in "Bubbly Events". She is the sweetest. We used her for "Month-Of" coordinating for our April 2017 wedding (late review!), but she seriously will help you keep your wedding in line well before then. She asked about details that I didn't think about, and made sure I had my stuff together. She was very organized, professional, and so kind. I seriously felt like she was a friend from the moment I met her. On the day of the wedding, she set up all of the decor (which she allowed us to bring to her house 2 days in advance!), managed all of the vendors, and made sure the day ran smoothly. It was so funny to hear my husband and his groomsmen yell her name before and after the reception over and over, and she was there to help and answer questions for them -- and everyone else -- every time! She even pulled the microphone away from our drunk best man when he talked nonsense for 5 minutes straight during his toast -and she handled it with class! She made sure that me and my husband always had our drink of choice in our hand, and made sure that the caterers took care of us and treated us like a king and queen. She also cleaned up at the end of the night and made sure our vendors were paid and our rentals got back to where they needed to be.
My family loved her so much, that my sister is using her in her upcoming May wedding!! I can't wait to hang with Katie and her team again soon :-) -

Amanda Sent on 06/19/2017I cannot say enough about Katie and her team!!! I had such an amazing wedding day, and Katie was a huge part of that! I am an extremely organized person, so I was on the fence about hiring a day of coordinator. I can honestly say that the best decision I made was hiring a day of coordinator. I did not have to do anything the day of the wedding. Katie made sure that everything was perfect and the venue looked beautiful!!! I swear every time I needed something, I turned around and there she was with my bouquet, or telling me when to go, and even showing us how to cut the cake when we were clueless!! She handled everything and everyone like a pro and so many of my guests told me how sweet she was and how well she handled the day. If anything went wrong the day of my wedding, I had no idea, which is exactly what I wanted! I was not stressed at all (which is pretty unusual for me haha) and I had an amazing night. I highly recommend Bubbly Events!! -

Amazing Wedding planner
Katie is great! From meetings months beforehand to make sure we stayed on track to recommendations on DJ/caterer/makeup artist/photographer, she was on point. Made the day of wedding seamless as well and everything went off without a hitch, much to her credit! Hoping I never need her services again, would recommend to any bride looking to have a relatively stress-free preparation and wedding day! -

I am so bummed I have to write this. I tried to reach out to Katie without posting a review. However, she was not kind to me when I did this. All I truly wanted, was for her to acknowledge how let down by her I was on my wedding day and promise to do better for other brides in the future.
We hired Bubbly Events NC for Wedding Planning + Design, including rehearsal dinner coordination, expecting a structured and seamless experience. While our wedding day itself was beautiful, the planning and coordination process fell short of our expectations.
Katie made it clear in our initial meeting that she does not offer full-service planning; we would be responsible for elements like invitations, signage, and other details, while she would manage the structure and timeline of the wedding. This arrangement appealed to me, as I enjoy handling creative details—I personally crafted signs and oyster shell name cards. However, despite this division of responsibilities, fundamental planning and coordination aspects were either mismanaged or neglected.
Communication & Coordination Issues
Communication was inconsistent, with emails often going unanswered for weeks, requiring repeated follow-ups. Despite hiring Bubbly Events NC for planning and design, we found ourselves handling all vendor coordination and all design. Meetings felt rushed, and responses, when they came, were often brief and unhelpful.
The rehearsal dinner, which was supposed to be coordinated by Katie, lacked structure and organization, forcing us to manage logistics ourselves on the day of. Additionally, transportation was mishandled, leading to guests unexpectedly paying for Ubers. Our groomsmen were even informed that no trolley was coming—despite my multiple verbal confirmations with Katie and forwarding her all email correspondence with Azalea Limousine Service.
Execution on the Wedding Day
Key details were overlooked:
• Guests were left without seating and were left standing during ceremony. Sticky notes were used instead of proper name tags—something I was unaware of and would have corrected had I been informed.
• My veil was improperly secured and fell off as I walked down the aisle. My dad held it on for me.
• My bustle was not properly attached, leaving one side dragging in all photos and first dance.
• A critical moment—my first look with my father—was entirely missed, despite it being on the timeline and my father arriving on time at the correct location.
Professionalism & Attention to Detail
Several comments made throughout the process were dismissive and unprofessional. Remarks like “I’ve never seen someone do florals so low-budget at Wrightsville Manor” and “If you do a flower petal toss, I have to pick them up” made me feel as though my wedding needed to accommodate the planner’s preferences rather than the other way around.
When I asked where I should hang my dress to steam it, I was met with “You should’ve already steamed your dress”—an unfair response, considering the dress had been steamed but could have been creased during transportation. Meanwhile, when I was actively looking for assistance, my Maid of Honor found Katie eating Chick-fil-A.
Lack of Accountability
When I followed up with Katie about my concerns—particularly regarding my missed first look with my father and the lack of rehearsal dinner coordination—her response was simply, “In terms of the rehearsal dinner, it was planned with as much detail as it required.” This was despite the fact that there were no name tags or enough seating, leaving guests confused. She also shifted blame for the first look onto the photographers rather than acknowledging any missteps in coordination.
When asked why key timeline events were missed, Katie explained that she is not a full event planner but a planning, coordination, and design planner. However, at a cost exceeding $5,000, I expected a well-managed timeline, proper execution, and support to prevent logistical mishaps—like my veil falling off walking down the aisle. This explanation felt more like an excuse than a justification.
Final Thoughts
While Katie demonstrated the ability to execute a wedding, the lack of attention to detail, professionalism, and accountability throughout the planning process was disappointing. Given the service we received, I cannot, in good conscience, recommend Bubbly Events NC -
