Brooke was absolutely amazing throughout the entire wedding planning process. From day one, I knew my husband and I were in good hands. She brought such a calm, reassuring presence, especially on our wedding day. Any small problem that came up, Brooke immediately had a solution and she made sure everything went perfectly.
I truly cannot recommend Brooke and her team enough! We received so many compliments from our guests about how helpful, professional, and kind they were. They did an incredible job assisting our guests and setting up our gorgeous venue.

If you’re looking for a sign before you book your wedding coordinator, consider this it! Brooke is absolutely the wedding planner for you! My three sisters and I have all gotten married in the past four years, all with various coordinators, and Brooke was by far the best of them all.
Brooke made so much effort to learn about our wedding day vision and ensured that she achieved what we wanted. Her vendor recommendations were top-notch and we received so many compliments from our friends and family members about each vendor (all while not breaking our budget!). On the day of our wedding, Brooke was on her game. Everything carried on smoothly and it allowed my partner and I to relax and take it all in. Seeing how organized and thoughtful Brooke was made us have so much trust in her! I can’t praise her enough for all of her hard work and positive energy through this whole process. Wedding planning can certainly be a stressful time, but having Brooke helped me relax and trust that everything would work out- and it certainly did!

Brooke is an angel and I am so happy she worked with us on our wedding day! We moved to the West coast before the wedding and Brooke was so accommodating to our time change and schedule needs. She was extremely organized, responsive, and knew exactly how to make me feel less stressed leading up to the big day. She gave excellent recommendations throughout the entire process and went above and beyond to get information from my other vendors and execute all the design/plans for our day. Brooke checked in on us throughout the entire day to make sure we were happy/to see if we needed anything, and helped fix my bouquet and bustle multiple times. If you are looking for a coordinator, I cannot recommend her enough! -

Words cannot fully express how grateful we are that we hired Brooke as our wedding planner! She exceeded our expectations in so many ways, most notably her responsiveness, professionalism, organization, and her calming, reassuring demeanor throughout the entire process. Brooke responded to ALL of our emails within 24 hours (we are not exaggerating, and we sent a ton of emails lol), and there was never a detail or question that went unaddressed. She is truly a superhuman!
We also appreciate how Brooke kept a Google Drive Shared Folder with several helpful resources (i.e. checklists, a list of recommended vendors, etc.), timelines, contracts, invoices, etc. so we knew everything was in one place. Brooke had everything all under control and we could count on her to have everything we needed!
Hiring Brooke was by far the best decision we made for our wedding. We cannot recommend her enough - thank you Brooke for everything!!! -

We hit the jackpot in finding Brooke! I hired Brooke Shehan Events to assist in the coordination of my daughter’s wedding. I wanted to be able to show up the day of, drink a mimosa, get my hair/makeup done and not worry about a thing and Brooke and her team certainly rose to the occasion. Just to be able to be present for my daughter's big day and not have to answer questions or worry about a thing meant more to me than I could ever express in this review. Brooke was knowledgeable, very responsive to all my emails leading up to the big day, calmed any anxiety I had and was an absolute pleasure to work with. I could not have made my daughter’s wedding “the wedding of her dreams” without Brooke and her team’s assistance and for that I am forever grateful. -

The QUEEN of wedding planning!!!
You will not regret going with Brooke! She was super responsive and helpful throughout the entire process! She helped me in every area where I needed help (which was pretty much every area!). She took care of all the details so that on the day of my wedding, I truly could soak in every second of it and not have a care in the world. If I had a dollar for every time she thought of something important that I definitely would have forgotten about, I'd have over a 100 dollars by now! -

Amazing wedding coordinator!
I cannot speak highly enough of Brooke! She was the absolute best wedding coordinator, and I don’t know what I would’ve done without her. My wedding day was absolutely perfect - she planned everything down to the minute and even helped to be a liaison between me and my other vendors. This is super helpful when you have a lot of vendors. Brooke is so kindhearted and helped to ease my nerves throughout the planning process. I could not recommend her more!! -

Best Wedding Decision We Made!
The best decision we made for our June 2022 wedding was booking Brooke as our wedding coordinator! She was incredibly thorough and organized. There was so much I would have never known needed to be done that she took care of with ease. On the wedding day I knew all I had to do was get ready and have fun, there were no other tasks on my plate. I knew I could trust her completely that things would be done well. Many of our vendors told us what a good choice we had made in hiring Brooke, she is clearly well connected and well respected in the Shenandoah Valley wedding community. We are happy the wedding planning is over but a little sad we don't get to talk to Brooke anymore! -

Brooke was the best decision we made. As someone who only moved here to begin law school, I didn't know where to begin to plan a wedding. But Brooke is so knowledgable about the Lexington area and central Virginia, she helped us book our entire vendor team and helped us feel confident about each category of vendors. She is SUPER organized and on top of communication. Brooke created a detailed timeline to make sure the day went smoothly, a detailed budget to make sure we didn't miss a single payment. Don't know where to start with your seating chart? She has a template for that. Above all else, Brooke is such a kind and sweet person. At the end of it all, after the wedding day fades and you get back from your honeymoon, you will be left with a sweet friend. -

Lexington wedding expert!
Being newcomers to Lexington, with the wedding at The Seclusion, we needed local help to select and manage wedding vendors. Brooke was recommended by several of our initial contacts, and we knew at the first meeting that she was the right choice. Very personable, a good listener, proactive, and kept us organized and informed. She and her team had us prepared for every move on wedding day, and table decorations were exquisitely done. They also stayed late after the wedding to break down and pack up. We thank Brooke for making our daughter's wedding day perfect! -

The Absolute BEST
If the universe is able to work it out so that Brooke is your wedding planner, consider yourself blessed beyond words. There’s no other way to describe how my husband and I feel about our experience with Brooke. They say that only a spare amount of people in this world find a profession that was truly meant for them, and I mean it with every fiber of my being when I say that Brooke has found hers. Brooke was of course incredibly professional, timely, organized, has well-established connections with any vendor you could ever need, and so much more, but what truly sets Brooke apart for me is her uncanny ability to make you and your partner feel warm, loved, appreciated, and excited to share in this special planning time. It’s an ability that can’t be taught, and deserves to be recognized on the highest level. She is able to smooth out any bump with grace, and she’s the most supportive, and kind planner I could ever imagine. I can see her pulling any and every wedding dream into fruition without fault or fail for all couples. If you’re able to plan with Brooke, rest easy knowing that you have the BEST planner in the business, and all of your wedding dreams will come true. Ours was an absolute perfect day down to the last detail, and I know in my heart that the cause was due to her abilities. -

Brooke is absolutely a JOY to work with!! I cannot say enough good things about Brooke Shehan Events! We hired Brooke as our planner for our June 4th, 2021 wedding at The Seclusion in Lexington, VA and I can honestly say it was the BEST decision we made for our wedding! Brooke is not only a great wedding planner who truly cares about your wedding vision, but also a great friend who just wants her brides to be happy. I had a very specific vision for my whimsical garden wedding and she went above and beyond to make that dream a reality! Even though we were planning the wedding during Covid, I always felt confident everything was going to work out great because Brooke was so on top of everything and her communication was fantastic. She also put together a great vendor team and we enjoyed working with all of them. On the day of the wedding everything ran so smoothly and looked BEAUTIFUL! I am so greatful we found Brooke and for all of her help thoughout the wedding planning process! Please hire Brooke you wont regret it!! -

I cannot say enough great things about working with Brooke for our 5.22.21 wedding at Big Spring Farm in Lexington, VA. I was a “Covid Bride,” and between that and the standard stress that comes with planning a wedding, it was certainly overwhelming at times. However, Brooke was there alongside us the entire time in order to make sure everything ran smoothly during the months leading up to and the most perfect day we could have ever dreamed of! She made sure everything (and I had a lot of detailed requests and decorations) was EXACTLY how I wanted and envisioned. She started working with me even earlier than the package we had booked because she is just that good and genuinely cares about you and making sure your big day still feels like a dream even after it becomes a reality. She is prompt, organized, and so calm and easy to work and communicate with. If you want the BEST wedding planner I highly suggest not reading anymore reviews and booking Brooke ASAP!!

Brooke was our wedding planner for our October 2020 wedding, and honestly, we could not have asked for a more outstanding person to have on our team. We planned our wedding during COVID, which means there were many, many changes and adjustments along the way. During all of it, Brooke was a steady, consistent support and resource for us; whether it was through finding last minute vendors when we needed to change our plans due to COVID, responding to late night emails, or simply providing a word of encouragement, Brooke went above and beyond. Her communication is terrific, and we so appreciate how she walked alongside us as we planned (and re-planned) our big day. The day of the wedding, Brooke and her team assisted in all of the details with coordinating with our other vendors, setting up décor, running errands, and making sure the day ran smoothly. It was such a gift to be able to relax and enjoy the day knowing we were in good hands. With Brooke, you will not only feel cared for and encouraged in all of your wedding planning needs, but also welcomed into the BSE family, too! We're so excited to continue working with Brooke for a delayed post-COVID reception celebration, and hope you'll give yourself the gift of hiring her for your event. If you are on the fence about hiring Brooke, DO IT. Choosing Brooke to be our wedding planner was probably the single best decision we made for our wedding. She made the planning process so easy and was there to help us every step of the way. From hiring and contacting vendors to ensuring the perfect wedding timeline and coordination, Brooke left no detail unnoticed. Along with her professionalism and attention to detail, Brooke is one of the SWEETEST people you will ever meet in your life. Wow!! Where do I even begin? Brooke is one of the sweetest people I've ever met. And on top of that she's a rockstar at multi-tasking, managing details, working with all kinds of vendors, and carrying out your vision. Due to COVID, Brooke basically planned 2 weddings for us, as delaying our reception meant that we had to re-contact all of our vendors and move the dates as well as rethink previous details and decisions (social distancing, flowers, food/drink, hotel room blocks, etc.). Brooke handled all of these details and decisions with ease and perfection, nothing went overlooked and our *new* day went off without a hitch all with a pandemic going on in the background. Brooke is so talented that I know she has other clients and weddings, but the unique thing about Brooke is that she makes you feel like you're her only client. I never had to wait to get a response back or never felt like I wasn't a priority, even when I'm sure she had more pressing things to deal with. And through it all, I truly feel like I've gained a friend for life. I already miss exchanging daily emails with Brooke about napkin folds, shuttle schedules, and wedding playlists, but now we can move on to talk about all the other things in life! If you're looking for someone to take the wedding planning stressors away, Brooke is your southern gal :) -

There aren't enough words to convey how great of a wedding planner Brooke is. I was someone who thought she could handle planning a wedding on my own but when I got over-whelmed by husband suggested hiring Brooke. At first, I was hesitate but BOY was hiring her the best decision we made. She was also there to answer ANY of my silly questions, and she also made sure I was 100% heard with my vendors. She took all the main stress of wedding planning away and allowed us to focus on what truly mattered. If you are thinking about getting a wedding planner, Brooke is your girl. I promise you wont regret it. -

If I could give Brooke 10 stars I would! We are a little over halfway to the wedding with just four months to go and I cannot put into words how amazing she has been! From losing my father to COVID 2020 has NOT been what I always dreamed my wedding year would be but Brooke has helped keep me sane and on track the whole way. She has gone above and beyond, listened to me vent, calmed me, but mostly she has truly made me feel like I was cared for. The worst thing you can say to a bride that has faced or may face rescheduling and changes in plans due to COVID is "everyone is going through the same thing" it just makes us feel awful and like our feelings don't matter because others have to go through this too. Brooke has NEVER made me feel this way. Every time I talk with her I feel as if I am her only client (which I am certainly not) and I have her complete attention and dedication towards making sure my fiance and I feel special and our wedding is everything that we ever wanted it to be. Choosing to have Brooke as our planner was one of the best decisions we could have made for our wedding and I would recommend her over and over again to anyone who will listen to me! She is fabulous, she is SO prompt, she is incredibly sweet, she is the most perfect planner out there! -

I have dreaded writing a review of the BSE team because 1. that means planning with Brooke is officially over and 2. there are truly no words to describe how incredible Brooke Shehan is. My fiancé and I knew we needed Brooke after seeing her in action at a close friend’s wedding and joined the BSE a few days later! Brooke walked with us every step of the way, ensuring each detail was carefully tended to (and trust me, there are a lot of details!). She encouraged me and gave me the room to be creative and take lead on anything I wanted to. She had efficient solutions to every question we posed and worked quickly with our vendors to help our vision come to life.
Brooke was not only a joy to work with personally, but every. single. one. of my vendors made a point to share that they had never worked with a coordinator as organized, prompt and KIND, as Brooke was. Even on the morning of our big day, Brooke made a point to drop by for a hug and remind me that she was there to help with whatever I needed!
The best part about this experience was finding a true friend in Brooke. We hit it off right away like we had been friends for years. She made it easy to solicit honest feedback and was our #1 cheerleader up until long after the reception had ended.
As an event planner myself, some asked why we needed Brooke and her team. To that I say, you don’t know what you’re missing until you work with her! Thank you, Brooke & BSE, for making our long-anticipated dream wedding, a reality. -

When my now husband and I first got engaged, we truly didn't think we needed a wedding planner. I have a very Type A personality, so I thought I could handle everything myself. It wasn't until my sweet mother-in-law surprised me with hiring Brooke that I knew this was the best decision we could have ever made. To put it simply, Brooke is the BEST in the business. She was there for me every step of the way and always supported every decision I made regarding the wedding. She always offered her advice and gave suggestions but never pushed for us to do things a certain way. Our happiness remained the forefront of her concerns, and even when things didn't go as planned, she remained professional and respectful. Brooke went above and beyond to ensure our wedding day went as smoothly and as perfectly as possible. She even took on jobs that she did not have to do, but she did them because she has a heart of pure gold and helping others is always her priority. Brooke often says she is a small part in your big day, but quite frankly, she was one of the biggest parts in ours. From late night emails, to meetings, and everything in between, Brooke provided us with nothing but the best service we could have ever dreamed of having. She not only was our wedding planner, but she soon became our friend, and for that we are truly thankful. -

I admit to being the bride who thought, "i probably don't need a coordinator or planner. I have plenty of time, and I can certainly do this on my own." Looking back, I literally can't imagine what my wedding would've been like without Brooke. She was there every single step of the way, and she provided the perfect amount of support with the perfect amount of nudging to make sure we were staying on track with things that needed to be done along the way. And when I say "perfect amount," I really mean it. After my first meeting with Brooke, she had figured out exactly the amount of hand holding I was going for, and she nailed it. She works with you to find out exactly what you want in your wedding and exactly what you want from her as your planner. She listens and absorbs every detail thrown her way! I still don't know how she managed to keep up with all of my crazy requests! On the day of my wedding, she was willing to jump in and do anything and everything we asked. She was even doing stuff behind the scenes before we even thought to ask for it. She was always a few steps ahead of us, and she still managed to check in with me throughout the day to see if there was anything she could do for me. Not only was Brooke a key piece to our wedding puzzle, but she was also a joy to work with! Her smile, her readiness, her helpfulness, her thoughtfulness -- I could truly go on and on. Brooke is hands down the best, and I guarantee you that she will make all of your wedding hopes and dreams come true in whatever capacity you'd like her to!

Lisa Sent on 05/11/2018Brooke is beyond AMAZING! She was there from the beginning to advise, and take care of so many things. The wedding day for our daughter was a dream and Brooke made sure of this. I would go to say "Brooke can you????" and she completed the sentence and said I have it taken care of. The pressure that she took off of us was nothing short of a miracle.
We would not have made it through the day without her. She is already in full swing for our son and future daughter-in-law's wedding. It is not until July 2019 but she is already taking care of every detail. I also will say that she can take care of so much in a short time. If you have a year or months she will make everything happen that you desire. If anyone is looking for the BEST look no farther. I will end as I started...Brooke is AMAZING! -

Love Brooke Shehan Events!!
My daughter and her fiancé came up with the crazy idea to get married while they were (and are) going through the demanding rigors of veterinary school…AND they chose a venue about two hours from their home. Brooke Shehan was an incredible asset to the planning of their wedding, and, just as importantly, the day of the ceremony. My daughter’s wedding day had no stress and was an absolutely flawless event. If a bride is planning a wedding, particularly in the Lexington area, I’d say that Brooke is the smart choice! We loved her! -
