We hired Blue Water Weddings for our wedding planning and WOW, it was the best decision we could have ever made. Julia Timmins is absolutely outstanding at her job and she and her team helped us create and host the wedding of our dreams. Every step of the way, Julia has made herself available and was incredibly accommodating, truly listening to the vision I was hoping to have and helping make that happen. She kept us organized and focused through the planning, turning what I was expecting to be a stressful time to a memorable experience, sparking excitement and joy as we planned around our location and budget. She is well connected in the region, had great suggestions for vendors, and worked closely with everyone we chose. On the day of, she was the epitome of calm, collected, professional, and efficient like the conductor of an orchestra. The day of the wedding was timed and executed so perfectly, I actually got to ENJOY my own wedding, it was the best! Our family and guests even commented on how amazing and professional she was, as well as how beautifully and meticulously our wedding was planned and played out. The number one word I got described to me was "relaxed." Well, that was because Julia was right on top of everything. Our vendors even commented on how efficient and seamless the wedding was both during and after the big day. We simply can't sing her praises enough! Hiring her for our wedding planner was the single best decision we made for this wedding. Big shout out to Jacque and Dene as well, from Blue Water, who designed a number of amazing pieces for us. Jaqcue helped us set up our welcome party the night before and it was absolutely lovely. She also helped us create an incredible archway with her fantastic floral skills. Dene did all of our day-of-printing and it turned out just fabulous. Blue Water Weddings is a gem! Stop looking a call them to book.

Latrice is the best!

Not really sure where to start. We worked with Latrice and she was amazing! She helped us transform our beach wedding into the most beautiful day. She was on time, professional, and helped provide us with direction and recommendations. Our day turned out to be perfect. 10/10 would recommend.

I owe it all to Latrice!

After reflecting on my wedding weekend, I can’t believe I’ve been working with Latrice for a year! & sadly that it all had to come to an end. Latrice knew my vision before I could even fully explain it! She was kind and flexible throughout the year and very detailed oriented. Everything went so smoothly and I can’t thank her enough for contributing to the beauty and organization of my special day/weekend. She is the real MVP! An absolute dream to work with!

I cannot say enough great things about Blue Water weddings and Latrice! Wedding planning was a highly stressful experience for me. Latrice helped me navigate it with ease. She understood my vision for our wedding immediately. She asked the correct questions and constantly communicated to know what was most important for our big day. She offered budget friendly options and recommended the best vendors that I could have never found on my own. I had met with other planners and none of them showed the care, passion, or level of personalization Latrice did. She even added some extra touches to truly bring our reception to life. Blue water is so lucky to have someone so passionate and professional on their team. I truly miss getting to talk to Latrice all the time already! 😢 Thank you Latrice for giving Joe and I the wedding of our dreams. Becky is the absolute best!

I'm not sure if words will do justice to what an incredible job Blue Water Weddings, and especially Becky, did for my wife and I for our wedding. But I will give it a try. From the first time we met Becky, it was clear that she had a passion for her work and an impressive attention to detail. Our wedding was in the Keys and my wife had mapped her vision in extensive detail. And Becky went above and beyond to make sure every little part of her vision was brought life. We booked her for month of services, but she was always available to help. Whether it was to discuss vendors or give ideas, it never seemed to be a bother. She maintained such a positive attitude during the months leading up to the wedding and encouraged us to bring any new ideas to her.
On the day of wedding, she was the embodiment of professionalism and calm. While at the same time, balancing so many vendors and family that were all part of the getting ready process. It was the most nerve-wracking day of my wife's life, and Becky proved to be the voice of reason and the cheerleader that she needed. When my wife got anxious, Becky always had the perfect words to say. She was also always when and where we needed her, whether it was to direct or to offer a warm smile. Throughout the ceremony and reception, she executed the plan flawlessly and ensured that everything was absolutely perfect. She even managed to gather all of our guests, fresh off of 4 hours of open bar, to do a bubble exit for amazing photo opportunities.
I would highly recommend Blue Water Weddings and Becky in particular to be your wedding planner. She is an excellent person and an expert at ensuring that your big day is a storybook wedding.

Premier Wedding Planner in the Florida Key’s

Thank you Becky Atherton at Blue Water Weddings. I could not draw up a more suited wedding planner to plan my wedding in the Florida Keys. Becky Atherton is an elite wedding planner. She is helpful, has impeccable taste and is responsive. My dream wedding was brought to life because I hired Blue Water Weddings. Unlike many Florida based wedding planners who claim to know the keys, the planners at Blue Water actually live there and have relationships with all of the vendors and venues that are located down there. I never felt forced to go in any particular direction, which was so important to me. Although I had a lot of help in developing and orchestrating my wedding, it still felt like my creation. If your dream wedding is an elegant gathering in the Florida keys, I highly recommend you hire Blue Water Weddings.

Wedding in key largo

Blue water wedding planners are the absolute best! I hired them for my wedding that was originally in islamorada and then half way through had to be switched to Key largo, I also was a few months into postpartum and Latrice made my wedding planning so easy! She also always got back to me when it came down to the end! She was amazing the day of the wedding I would have been lost without her. She was so helpful even with my five month old baby ♥️ I couldn’t recommend blue water weddings more they went above and beyond for us ♥️

You have to get Grace Gustinis from Blue Water Weddings at your Planner!

Grace Gustinis at Blue Water Weddings made our wedding so fun and easy to plan over the course of the year she worked with us to make our dream wedding come true. Grace was sweet, knowledgable and organized throughout the entire planning experience. On the day of our wedding Grace was a true SUPER HERO because a tropical storm hit and everything was planned to be outside. The storm was so bad even our tent couldn't keep out the rain. She quickly got us walls for the tent to allow us to still keep our ceremony outside and came up with a game plan in coordination with all the vendors to move the rest of the events inside while still giving the wedding a multi-location feel within the resort property. We could not have done our wedding without her. We HIGHLY recommend selecting Blue Water Weddings and particularly Grace Gustinis for your wedding planner. Love you Grace!

Blessed With the Best Coordinator/Planner

I would give 100 stars if possible! When I decided to have a destination wedding in the Keys, I knew I would need a wedding coordinator/planner to help me bring my wedding vision together and knew the area, as I was 1,200 miles away. Latrice and I chatted on the phone and I knew just from that short phone call that I needed to hire and work with Blue Water Weddings. The amount of information I initially received to get started with the planning process exceeded my expectations. This included vendor lists and an personal planning program to keep all of my wedding planning info and progress in one place as the planning process continued. Latrice went above and beyond - helping me create ideas, keep my vendors in the loop, and she was always there to answer my crazy questions and random messages when something would come up. I felt so reassured about my day because of the support Latrice showed me. By the time my wedding day rolled around, I felt like we knew each other for way longer than 6 months. On wedding weekend, Latrice and her team were awesome behind the scenes - excecuted the ceremony and reception details, worked hand in hand with the venue to set the areas appropriately, they repurposed and moved decor, and made my day flow so flawlessly. I am beyond grateful that Latrice and Blue Water Weddings were by my side on my wedding day!

Look no further ! Mary at BWW is exceptional.

I am from out of state and recently had a destination wedding in Key Largo, FL. I knew I needed the help from a planner as I was out of state and out of my wheelhouse. I was so incredibly fortunate to have found BWW and was paired with Mary as our planner. Mary is a gem. She is funny, kind, understanding and patient. Every detail and then 100 more were thought of and addressed. The platform the company uses for planning was so helpful and organized. Mary had so many ideas, recommendations and priceless advice. Leading up to the wedding I always felt secure things would go off without a hitch and on the day of the wedding Mary was AMAZING. She was in the ball every second helping everyone and keeping things on point. I cannot recommend her and this company more. I never understood fully why people say your wedding is the best day of your life but now I can truly say that it is beyond a doubt and I really feel without Mary it wouldn’t have been possible.

Flawless and joyful planning and execution with BWW

Working with Julia for our wedding was nothing short of phenomenal. She was extremely attentive, efficient and exceeded all expectations when it came to her professionalism. Julia is an industry veteran and it shows - the relationships she's built are incredibly strong. All the vendors and hotels know her and are familiar with the level of excellence she brings. These relationships were extremely helpful to us in particular, as we do not live in Florida, don't have a network there, and couldn't meet with vendors IRL. She also communicated SO well with all of our vendors to make sure everyone had the timeline and knew precisely what the plans were.

Julia make every step of the planning processes stress-free - after getting to know us, our personalities, aesthetic, and budget, she could immediately suggest the most practical way to accomplish our goals, always giving plenty of options along the way. Trusting her was easy and frankly made our lives so much easier!

On the design side, she was able to bring our collective vision to life in the most magical way ever. The day-of was absolutely seamless - I truly STILL don't believe how everything went so smoothly and came together so beautifully. My jaw completely dropped when we saw our venue all setup. Throughout the night, Julia was cool as a cucumber and orchestrated the evening from top to bottom, exactly how we wanted it. She had another team member onsite to doubly ensure things ran smoothly (shoutout to Jennette who was also amazing and so helpful on our wedding day!!).

I could not recommend working with Blue Water Weddings enough. I was never really a big wedding dreamer growing up, but Julia and BWW delivered a wedding that was beyond anything I could have dreamed of. For the day you will remember the rest of your life, do yourself a favor and book BWW asap!!

Mary is the best!

Mary Palacios more than exceeded our expectations. She made our special day perfect. We spoke with her almost a year in advance of the wedding and she explained all the different services they offer. I was expecting not to need a planner at all, and to do a lot of planning myself. Even with all of the DIY invitations and decorations, etc., but hiring her was the best decision we made.

My husband and I have crazy schedules and Mary was flexible with us. We had calls every so often and exchanged emails often. she was such a pleasure to work with. She had great ideas we hadn't considered and executed a lot of details flawlessly. She took our ideas and brought them to life.
We had many moving parts and lots of different vendors that were unfamiliar with the venue. Mary communicated well with them and helped everyone work together cohesively. She kept me calm on wedding day and kept everyone on schedule. She lives nearby our venue and had worked there before, so when the venue contacts were continuously unresponsive, she was able to go to the resort and get answers for us.
From the first call through wedding day, I stressed less and enjoyed more because Mary was there to help. Thank you Mary!!!

The Best Wedding Planner in South Florida

I recently worked with Julia and her team at Blue Water Weddings for our wedding in Islamorada last month, and the experience was amazing. Being that I've been a bridesmaid in 7 weddings throughout my life, I was very clear that working with a planner was necessary to my peace of mind as a bride.

We are so glad that we went with Julia because she anticipated any problem or logistic that might arise and was ready to handle it; of course, there were not any problems because we had Blue Water doing its thing from the very beginning. I hired them for their full planning and design services and do not regret it at all. Literally, I did not have to worry about anything with the budget because they had it all under control at all times. She only gave me choices for things that would fit in the budget without making me feel like I was skimming down or having to say no to something.

As a designer, Julia has a real gift of getting what a bride's personality is from the start. She connected us with awesome caterers and florists to really pull off a colorful, eclectic, elegant wedding in the Keys. She even came to do in person meetings with me to go over design and details that were important. Those were the most fun!

A highlight of mine and everyone else's was that my groom came into the ceremony by boat! Our venue had a marina and she saw this possibility for him and our ring bearer and best man to come in on our vintage Shamrock. It was a hit! We have great footage and will never forget that.

Even last minute things that I saw on Pinterest, like a special seating chart, she and her team were able to do for me so that my day was awesome. If there were any issues with anything the day of the wedding, I did not even know because she was very calming and made sure that I enjoyed the day. Thank you Blue Water!

Made Our Beautiful Day!

Mary was what I called my "wedding therapist." She truly held my hand through the entire covid wedding experience and was so helpful! There is no way I could have planned a destination wedding in a month without her. She was able to do everything I wanted within my limited budget, which was amazing. Her knowledge of the area and the vendors was invaluable and she took care of everything from the rehearsal onward so I could relax and enjoy. I was so happy she was there and the wedding was gorgeous down to every last detail.

Such a BIG help! I had the wedding of my dreams!

We live out of the country and so we hired Julia as our full-service wedding planner two years before our wedding. She was detrimental in helping us choose the perfect location (she gave us FaceTime property tours of venues and hotels), and was a huge help with our save-the-dates, invitations, the wedding website, our budget management, keeping on track with a planning schedule, and just being the point person in the area for all things wedding related. It was definitely lower-stress planning of an out-of-country wedding than I expected or imagined. And where Julia really shined? The little day-of details, coordination and decorating. I mean, just wow. I still have guests tell me that my wedding was the most fun and most beautiful they've ever been too. She really has a knack for making your day flow smoothly and look flawless. I still did a lot for my own wedding, but Julia and I were a team and she was such a big help. Thank you, Julia, for helping me plan the wedding of my dreams. It was everything I hoped it would be!

Seamless and Professional

I could have NEVER planned my wedding without Julia. She is worth every single penny and then some. The day of went off without a hitch, even when a cold front came in and Julia ran to get me a blanket so I could stop shivering, she is truly so in tune with her brides, believe me when I say she can handle any situation. Her eye for design does without saying, it's stunning. I am so thankful for her. My day truly looked like it was out of a magazine and I have her to thank for that.

Best decision EVER!

Hiring Julia and her amazing team was the best decision we ever made. Her relationships with all the vendors and knowledge of the Keys in general was so helpful and took a lot of the pressure off our plate. She provided so many options that fit our parameters, which were a little difficult given the size of our guest list. She was extremely kind and so calm, which was very comforting during the inevitable stress that came with planning a destination wedding for 300 people. There is no way we could have done it without Julia and her team. Period. She kept us organized and on track from the day we hired her and made the entire weekend feel like a seamless celebration for us and all our friends and family- and we didn’t have to worry about a thing! Julia and the entire Blue Water Weddings team truly made our dream weekend come true!

Julia with Blue Water Weddings was incredible to work with, very professional, and knowledgeable. She provided options I had not thought about for wedding venue sites to help stay within budget. Best Wedding planning decision we made!

We are SO happy we chose Julia and Dené to help make our special day absolutely amazing.
They were on top of it for the entire wedding planning process and really shined the day of. I didn’t lift a FINGER. I didn’t worry about anything and Julia continued to check in throughout the day to make sure I had everything I needed. It was exactly what I wanted.
And the wedding itself - we’ll lets just say they were troopers. We had some unexpected rain and they were outside with us all night long while we danced in the rain. That’s what I call above and beyond!!
So thank you one million times Julia and Dene for the best wedding planning experience I could have ever asked for and more importantly the most beautiful wedding day that fit my vision perfectly.

Julia and Dene at Blue water weddings made our wedding day a dream come true! Four months post wedding I still have guests telling me that it was the best and most fun wedding they have ever been to! Although we do not live too far (just up in Fort Lauderdale) we still hired them to be full service planners which made everything a breeze. Blue water weddings made our wedding day unbelievable!! It was the best weekend of our lives. Not a detail was missed the entire weekend. We had an amazing wedding in the Florida Keys with Julia's help. We booked a location that fell through and luckily we found a better location (Coconut Palm Inn) that was perfect for a few day destination wedding. When the wedding is far away do not expect emails to be answered right away. She has a ton of weddings and the ones a month out are going to be top priority as it should be. She does a ton of weddings. She helped us find all the right vendors for everything to make our day perfect. A month out she was on top of everything getting it all finalized. There were a few minor things that were missed the day of but overall the day was 99% perfect. I do not envy the job of a wedding coordinator. There are a million things going on and she did a great job keeping everything organized.

Our experience started while searching for a venue in the Florida Keys. Struggling to really know the best route I decided to find a planner from the area and see where to go from there. I called Julia AFTERHOURS and she picked up! What? Someone in the Keys actually answered the phone but afterhours, GREAT! Before even signing any contracts she provided several places within budget to research. Luckily we live about 3 hours away and there was a Wedding Show in Islamorada in January so we able to meet venue managers, DJ’s, caterer, and florists etc. While there she introduced us to her preferred venders and all was well. From then on the phone calls, emails, tasting and walkthroughs were coordinated on time. Working well within budget Julia and her assistant along with all venders. I was so nervous about how everything was going to come together but with her vision and keen eye for the smallest of details was far more than I could imagine. Everyone raved at how smoothly everything came together without a hitch! It was beachy, whimsical, and elegant. Recommending Blue Water Weddings is not enough, I would say it is a MUST HAVE if you are planning a wedding in the Florida Keys. Our wonderful adventure started with Julia at Blue Water Weddings prior to us even hiring her. We were interviewing Wedding Planners and when we were talking to Julia we told her about the location we were thinking of having our wedding. Without us even hiring her she suggested she do a FaceTime at the property so we can get a better idea of the property and what it had to offer. This type of excellent proactive customer service made us fall in love with her and her staff. From our initial conversation over the phone, Julia quickly learned our style and vision and she was spot on, after we face timed, we were convinced this original venue was not for us. Julia was instrumental in working with us to find the perfect venue for us and our guests and she took all of our visions and made them a reality and much more. Her knowledge of vendors was unreal. Each vendor she recommended added their own imprint to making our wedding day exceptional. She treated us as if we were her only client always making herself available for a call or meeting to touch base. Her unending dedication in making our Wedding Day the most amazing event for us and our guests is an experience everyone should have on their special day. From the smallest details Julia and Jenny handled everything and we always had nothing to worry about with Julia and her staff at the helm. We even believe they had something to do with the rainbows that appeared during the photo session.
Being from Chicago, our family and friends are accustom to elegant, over the top weddings. What Julia arranged for us blew our mind away. We are still hearing from people that it was the most elegant, beautiful Wedding they have ever attended.

Julia was amazing!!! we could not of down it without her. She went above and beyond every step of the way. From start to finish Julia and her team at Blue Water Weddings were able to take our vision for a wedding and turn it into a reality. We met with Julia on a whim after the first place we had booked fell through. We described our ideal wedding to Julia and without hesitation she suggested Southern Diversion in Marathon Florida.
Throughout the wedding planning process Julia responded to all of my emails (and there were many) in a timely manner. Any bumps in the road, which to a bride may seem like catastrophes, Julia handled calmly and efficiently. Julia helped to coordinate all details for both the Welcome Dinner and Wedding from the menu, to the flowers, to the decorations. She helped create a schedule for transportation so that all guests. As a wedding favor, I wanted all of the guests to leave with a picture frame containing a family picture from the wedding. Julia not only had her assistant Jennie take pictures of the guests, but then she went to Rite Aid to get them developed so the guests could leave the wedding with a memory of themselves at the wedding. The guests all raved about the favors.
With her help, planning a destination wedding was enjoyable as she helped to alleviate stress from being so far away.
Our guests are still talking about how much fun they had at the wedding and how beautiful all of the details turned out.

She was a lot of help from start to finish but the best part about her was her ability to put everything together on the day of the wedding without me having to worry at all. My husband and I decided very last minute to get away for our honey moon. Since we don't get much of a chance to get away, we decided to take advantage of the time we had away and renew our wedding vows.... and it was very last minute.

I found Blue Water Weddings in Islamorada and called and spoke to Julia. I told her what I was planning and to my amazement... she had EVERYTHING set and ready to go in 6...SIX... hours!!! We had exactly 5 days to make it all happen. She arranged a location, a time, a place for us to stay, someone to renew our vows, a photographer, a florist to make me a bouquet, and hair and makeup. It was a sunrise ceremony and everyone had no problems being there very early.

This day would never have happened if I didn't have Julia. She guided me the whole way, and gave me precise timelines.

I will always remember this special occasion, and Julia will always have my referrals. If anyone is doing a destination wedding, or is even in the local area, Julia is the person to call!!

I hired Julia for day of coordination for my wedding and it was a great experience working with her. We met in her showroom several times and she has huge selection of decorations and rental items and helped me get set up with other local vendors. She is very organized and we kept in touch via email and her online invoicing was simple and easy to use. Planning a wedding is quite the task to say the least. I tried, very briefly, to plan the wedding myself but trying to so in Key Largo, Florida from Denver, Colorado was absolutely impossible. I got as far as the venue. However, in one of my many searches I found Blue Water Weddings. Working with Julia was one of the best decisions I made, worth every penny. She found me all the needed vendors. I had choices so that I could have a role in the planning process. She had great professional relationships with many of the vendors and they all had great things to say about her. I even got my first choice photographer for an amazing price! Even the the vendor I found on my own, she did a great job coordinating with them.
I didn't have the time or want to go down to the Keys, but was able to do all of the planning very easily through phone and email. Julia was quick to respond and full a great ideas. The one thing that I was the most nervous about was not seeing the venue. And while she hadn't heard of the venue, she was quick to make contact with owners and visit the property, which she utilized very well. I also, didn't get to meet her at her studio until a couple days before the wedding. The visit was quick and easy, and she gave a great suggestions for restaurants, liquor store for the wedding alcohol, and other details I forgot about. The wedding day went very smoothly and everyone she recommended was great to work and made our day perfect. All of the guests were very impressed and had a wonderful time. She made the planning process very laid back, as I like to remain, and as stress free as planning a wedding can be expected. My wedding was just as I desired: simple, yet elegant.

Julia from Blue Water Weddings was an absolute dream to work with. During our planning meetings she asked great questions which helped her to get to know me and my fiancé (I live out of state and it was never an issue to get ahold of her).

She was able to take all the wedding and creative ideas in my head and make them a reality. She had a great vision for our wedding and worked diligently to stay within the provided budget.

We had a last minute rain shower right before the ceremony and she handled that chaos with a calm demeanor that put the guests at ease.

In addition to being an amazing visionary and coordinator, she also works with the best vendors (florist, hair, make up, caterer, DJ, golf carts, transportation, etc). Her vendors were incredibly respectful and fantastic to work with.

Hiring Julia as our day of coordinator was a wonderful investment. During the planning process she had a couple of style meetings with us where she had great ideas and helped us shape our wedding into exactly what we wanted. I knew I didn't have to worry about anything the morning of the wedding with Julia in our corner, which was a great relief! She also made sure that the wedding party and guests where were they were supposed to be at all times (which was no easy task as everybody was on island time and had a vacation mindset the whole weekend). Julia handled any minor problems that arised, like mismatching color coral linens, with professionalism and she has the connections to make things happen last minute! The best money spent on my wedding was hiring Julia with Blue Water Weddings. Julia is amazing! I would recommend her to anyone! The groom and I have unique employment status that causes us to be away for months at a time, we knew right away we needed help. We met with Julia and instantly knew she would be a fantastic asset to our wedding! Julia has kept us on task and ahead of schedule, even while we were working abroad. She has all the right Islamorada connections and is helping us create a picture perfect weekend. Julia is incredibly easy to get along with, she is extremely professional and stepping inside her office is like stepping into a Pintrest page! She is always available to us and we are thrilled that the exceptional value of her service also includes all day, 'day-of', attention. We couldn't imagine doing all of this without her!

We could not be happier with the service, help, vendor recommendations, coordination, decorations, communication, and follow-up we received from Blue Water Weddings. Julia was awesome! My wedding day and days leading up to it were so stress free because of her. I hired Julia since planning my big day in Florida from Germany was proving to be more difficult and intensive than I thought. She took care of everything I needed, and even some things I didn't think of. She kept everything and everyone on track so I didn't need to worry about it. I will never be able to fully express how thankful I am. She was professional and polite, but showed just the right amount of tenacity when I needed her to.

My very dear friend from the UK who now lives in the US turned 30 on Friday, and was celebrating the end of her 20's with a romantic get-away to Key Lago at the weekend. Julia, who runs Blue Water Weddings in Islamorada, truly was a blessing for our wedding. We planned the entire thing with her sight unseen, as it was a destination wedding in a place we'd never actually been. She helped immensely from the get go, from the origination of ideas for our decor to showing us different properties through video, and ultimately finding the perfect location and making everything better than we could ever have hoped for, all while keeping in line with or budget. She provides excellent caring service and is a one stop shop for every possible detail you may need. She literally found us everything we wanted, and more, from the little things like lights and napkins to the dj, the caterer, the cake, the flowers, everything. If we had unlimited resources and time I don't believe we could have made an evening so perfect come together, her attention to detail and vision is remarkable and I would recommend anyone looking to get married in the keys to speak with Julia immediately. She is a life saver and gave us the most perfect wedding possible, it was exactly what we wanted and more. She has forever made our lives better and impacted us and all of our family and friends by making our special day a reality filled with memories for a lifetime. We cannot thank her enough!

I was a DIY bride and was planning on doing everything on my own, but did not know the first thing about the way a wedding should flow. We booked our caterer and she recommended us to contact Julia for "day-of coordinating" services. It was the best money spent. Julia worked with me on everything for the day of my wedding and took the stress out of the planning for me. She was very thorough in everything she did for me to help plan my day. She made me feel comfortable from the beginning which was great for me because I am the type who likes to be in control of things- very much Type A, and Julia made it easy for me to give up control to her. She was great and I appreciate all the help she gave me. Danielle actually worked with me on the day of my wedding and she was amazing as well. She was very calm and relaxed and that made me feel calm and relaxed which is exactly what I wanted for my wedding day! Was the best day!! From the very first phone call I made to Julia when I was completely overwhelmed and stressed out trying to do everything myself, to the very last detail of our wedding day she has been amazing. Julia listened to what we wanted and guided us in the right direction to make it all happen. All of the vendors Julia suggested were great. Our guests are still telling us how perfect everything was. Future brides, listen to Julia, she knows what she’s doing. I could have saved a little of my sanity if I had just listened to her right away instead of googling multiple venders. Julia with Blue Water Weddings was absolutely fantastic. I'm from DC and she helped my mother and I plan the most amazing Islamorada destination wedding. From the very start, she was amazing, helping us on our two day trip to the keys to find a venue, vendors, flowers, and piece together our vision. She was available through email, text, Skype, and phone to us throughout the whole process. She even helped us with other details like planning a special surprise for my mom's 50th birthday while we were down there and scheduling a family photo session. Julia is so creative and the details she put into my champagne and sparkle themed wedding were absolutely breathtaking. In addition, she was really fun to be around :) I highly recommend blue water weddings and especially Julia for anyone planning a wedding in Islamorada.

Julie was very helpful! I would recommend a wedding planner and day of coordinator to anyone... If I didn't have her the wedding would have not been the same. It took a lot of stress away knowing someone else is in charge of getting everything done :-). We also rented the photo booth from her and everyone had a blast with it, the best money spent for the evening

Julia was absolutely essential to our wedding weekend - I really don't think we could have done it without her. We live in Minneapolis and were planning a destination wedding in the Keys - but Julia made it really easy to be far away. Julia was exactly what we needed leading up to our wedding and especially for the day of! She helped us stick to a budget and guided us with choosing all of our décor. We had ideas we liked but she was able to execute what we wanted. She even thought of additional touches to be added a few days before which we loved! She truly has a passion and an eye for weddings and is wonderful at what she does! Being able to rent from Blue Water Weddings saved us so much in the long run. Julia was always available via phone, email, Skype and even met with us in person to go over details. Her work ethic was great and the day of the wedding she made all of us feel calm. My family raved about her and other guests involved with the process.
We had quite a rowdy crowd so with her there we were able to get all of the dancing, cake cutting, tosses done in a timely manner. We also used her for a "turn down" service in our room. The girls and I all got ready in our room that day so it was quite a mess. She straightened everything up, put candles all around, rose petals on our bed and a bottle of champagne chilling. It was exactly what we needed to walk into after our amazing wedding day. Thank you Julia!

We began working with Danielle briefly before Julia taking over Blue Water Weddings. Danielle was professional and very efficient in getting us started with our caterer. Shortly after Julia stepped up and we didn't have one concern. We love in New Jersey, I flew down once for a 2 hour meeting and everything was taken care of for the most part. I hadn't even seen the house that I rented for the wedding and reception. I hired Danielle to make sure everything went smoothly, as I was beginning to become a bit overwhelmed. I planned my January 12, 2013 wedding from New York unknowing of what to expect. I was reffered to blue water weddings, and Daniel, from the venue we had chosen. From onset to completion Danielle and her staff were above and beyond. They providing great service all the way! Hair, makeup, officiant, helping to obtain the correct paper work and license, photographer, and not to mention my beautiful flowers. She recommended John Jordan for music he was superb!!!!! Hiring Danielle of Blue Water Weddings was 100% the best decision I made!! We planned the wedding from far away and she was available via email or phone whenever I had a question. She's not only super professional but loves weddings and that really comes off in her work. I'm not the easiest bride to deal with b/c I'm type A and also want things completely opposite of what most brides seem to want...Danielle was really flexible and easy to work with but also told me given her experience when she didn't think something would work (and she was def. right!). The wedding day was easy, relaxed and we didn't have to worry about anything going wrong, b/c Danielle was there, and if something did go wrong, she fixed it. So it was just absolutely perfect. Like I said, best wedding decision I made (well after choosing the groom :) )

Danielle was wonderful and a very important part of our perfect wedding day. With her there I didn't even think about the last minute changes that were made due to some weather and enjoyed getting ready and could just focus on the day ahead. Luis and I started planning our destination wedding in 2013 and were looking for someone who would be able to communicate with us either by email, skype or the phone (we currently live in Belgium and coming down to the Keys before the wedding was something we would only be able to do once). I am personally a very anxious person and have a hard time not being in control of everything. Although we were afraid our wedding planner wouldn’t understand what our needs and wants really were for our special day, Julia did an excellent job of keeping track of all the things we liked and wanted and our big day was even better than what we had imagined it would be. Although Julia sometimes forgot to answer some of my questions she was VERY patient in handling the 20-plus questions a week I was emailing her, including on Sundays and holidays. When we flew over last year, Julia managed to squeeze two weeks’ worth of appointments with vendors and visits to several venues in just two days. We got to do a tasting with our caterer, meet with an officiant, see flowers AND do a hair and make-up trial all in just a very short time. When we got to the Keys a couple days before the wedding and met with Julia, I knew right away that my anxiety would not get in the way of me and my fiancé having the time of our lives on our wedding day. Julia showed confidence and professionalism and made it possible for me to let go totally (I seriously think I hadn’t been so relaxed in years!). The vendors she recommended we work with were all excellent and all our guests loved the decor and details, the food, the flowers and the music. We truly believe hiring Julia’s services was worth every penny spent and more! Luis and I waited 15 years to get married and we wanted it to be perfect… BEST DAY EVER!!! Thanks Julia!

Like many other brides at the beginning of my wedding planning experience I thought that I would be able to handle the destination wedding planning on my own, but I quickly realized that I couldn't. After speaking with several wedding planners in the Keys I chose Julia and I'm so glad that I did. Julia and her team have such a wonderful eye for design and work with an amazing team of vendors. My wedding day was far better than I could have imagined and I know I have Julia and Dene to thank for that. Not to mention that the wedding planning process was much less stressful having them on board as well. If you are considering a wedding planner in the Keys you will be in good hands with Julia and her team. Highly recommend! Thank you both again for everything!

Julia was absolutely wonderful in helping me put together my amazing destination wedding in Islamorada. Extremely knowledgable of the area and very tied to the close-knit businesses. She was integral in pulling together what I refer to as my wedding dream-team of hair & make-up. cake, floral, photography, music and venue! Very flexible with putting my vision together but also always ready to lend her creativity, design flair and insightful ways to take advantage of many cost-effective tweaks that saved money while keeping the beauty and magic of the event intact. Julia is great at keeping you on track with planning. As another reviewer noted, when your wedding is further in the future, her responses may take a little longer (but not too long) as she will be tending to her brides who are marrying soon, but when your day gets closer and deadlines are coming, she is focused on you, your big day and everything necessary to make it perfect. The day of my wedding was flawless and Julia managed it all with grace and calmness while ensuring everything my husband and I needed was handled. So very happy with our experience with Julia and her team.
