Above & Beyond they are AMAZING!
Abby & Aubrey with BOE are the most amazing people I've ever met! I know what you are thinking...do I even need a wedding planner/coordinator. The answer is YES! They are so worth it! Planning a wedding during a pandemic is stressful enough, but when our venue breached our contract a month before the wedding, BOE did not hesitate to help us start over. They helped re-plan the wedding & make it even better. They assisted in coordinating with our vendors & making our wedding vision come to life. But that's not all! I can't even describe all the things they did that went above & beyond for us. Aubrey talked me off the ledge a few times when I was a panicking bride due to the changes & pandemic stress. They are so organized & had everything PERFECTLY set up on our wedding day. As a torrential downpour began 5 minutes before the ceremony start time, they literally ran in the rain to reset the ceremony site. They were always there to answer my emails & phone calls with my millions of questions and always gave the best advice. I cannot imagine how my wedding would have gone without them. As you know, the bride & groom are very busy on their wedding day & having the extra set of hands & the unmeasurable professionalism and experience of Aubrey & Abby took all my stress away. They stayed with us the entire night, kept things on track, & assisted if we needed ANYTHING. Aubrey & Abby must have re-bustled my dress like 5 times due to all the dancing. Not only were they excellent wedding planners, but they are so nice! They genuinely advised us and gave suggestions as if it was their own wedding. Do not hesitate to book them for your wedding! Believe me you NEED them! Even if you feel you have everything handled, having them there the day of to pull off all the finishing touches to make your day perfect is worth it! They are not just another wedding vendor; they will become your FRIENDS! I cannot thank them enough for everything they have done that made our wedding absolutely perfect! -

The best out there!
We had the absolute pleasure of working with Abby, and we truly couldn’t have done it without her. Planning a wedding in just five months felt overwhelming at first, but she kept us organized, focused, and on track every step of the way. Her guidance made what could have been a stressful process feel seamless and manageable.
On the day of the wedding, Abby went above and beyond. She handled every detail with such care and professionalism, allowing me to be completely present and enjoy every moment. I felt totally shielded from anything that could have been stressful, which is such a gift on a day like that.

ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL! We worked with Abby to plan our wedding for January 2025 at Fairchild Botanic Garden, and it went PERFECTLY! We were planning this wedding from afar and it was so incredible to have someone that understood both (1) our vision and how to execute it in the right way and (2) all of the best vendors to make the vision come to life. All of Abby's vendor recommendations were perfect as well. We loved that we were working with someone so down to earth, knowledgable and practical. Abby talked to us like real people (via email, text and zoom) and made every decision stress-free -

I cannot say enough great words about Abby and her team!
Wedding days can be stressful but that is the last word I would use to describe my day. Abby’s team took care of everything and allowed my husband and I to fully relax and enjoy our day. Abby’s team did an amazing job of coordinating all the bridal party chaos while still remaining nice and organized. She was not bossy or rude but instead kind and clear in her directions. She was always available to answer any questions and was on top of every request. I planned my wedding from out of state and she made amazing vendor recommendations! She took my vision and made it come to life! If you are looking for a wedding planner you have found your person!-

Book Abby with BOE ASAP
Let me tell you. Look no further than hiring Abby immediately if you’re in need of a wedding planner. She is ON POINT with absolutely everything. I’m talking soup to nuts from the cocktail napkins to the logistical layouts of where the cake stand is going during reception. She leaves no stone unturned and truly knows what she’s doing when it comes to weddings. She has ample experience which in turn gives her soooo many connections which allowed her to assist flawlessly with my wedding I just had. She’s super organized as well as responsive and doesn’t leave you stressed at all. I mean at all. Her and her team on game day were professional and on top of everything, made adaptions when she saw fit, and most importantly made sure I was taken care of as the bride. So go book Abby 5 minutes ago! Not sure what you’re waiting for :) -

We love Abby!
Abby is amazing at what she does. I will forever be thankful to my friend who recommended her to me. My mom and I literally high-fived after our first phone call with Abby- we knew we hit the jackpot! She was the only planner who actually laid out her process for us so we could understand. We felt so comfortable with her. She is obviously very experienced and since my mom and I can be very indecisive sometimes we really appreciated Abby always giving us her honest opinion so we could make a decision. Also, what stuck out most to me about Abby is how she always put us first no matter what. We had lots of difficulties with our venue and Abby always made sure she did whatever it took to put us first, which I feel like many other vendors would have put themselves first because most care about their status with venues. I appreciated that she always made us a priority. We were always so impressed with how professionally she dealt with everything. When it came to the wedding day I was so stress free because I knew Abby would have everything under control. Even when my hair and makeup was running an hour late, Abby called me to tell me not to worry that everything was on track. If I didn’t have Abby as my planner I know this would have caused so many issues for our day. She made everything run so smoothly. I am seriously so impressed by Abby and will recommend her to all my friends. Abby, my mom and I will forever be appreciative to you. Thank you for everything. -

I can’t even begin to explain how amazing Abby was throughout the entire planning process and the weekend of our wedding at Ocean Reef Club! She was extremely professional, punctual, organized, flexible, and most of all – she was so kind and calm to work with (which is SO important in an event planner!). She made everything so smooth and calm through all of my million questions and requests. My entire wedding party, family, and friends had nothing but positive things to say about Abby and her team. Efficient, creative, and well connected!
We had just relocated to South Florida when we began planning our wedding and were SO happy when we had an intro meeting with Abby. She is methodical and organized but also isn’t afraid to try fun/modern things with you! All of my bridesmaids complimented her to me during the wedding - describing her as welcoming, calm, and so nice (but also directive in the best way!!). She was just what this “type-A” couple who loves to have fun needed. She really brought our vision to life and made the entire day something we will remember forever. -

I'm so glad we found Blue Orchid to help plan our wedding! Abby was amazing in helping us find all the right vendors, since we planned our wedding from out of state. She gave us great introductions, and we would never have found our amazing venue without her. She was incredibly patient and kind, guiding us through the process and keeping us on track, since we only had an 8 month engagement. On the day of, her answer to everything was "no problem." She and her team worked so hard to make sure everything was running on time and in the proper place, so that we didn't have to worry. We couldn't have done it without her! -

Best experience!
I cannot recommend Abby enough. Honestly, one of the saddest things after our wedding was knowing that we wouldn't be working with her any more! Abby was on a preferred list for the venue we got married. We connected with her once and decided we had met the right person. We worked with Abby for over a year! She connected us with all the right people, helped organize meetings with them, and just generally kept everything organized and moving along up to the wedding. The wedding day was an absolute dream. I saw Abby a few times but mostly I was able to enjoy the day - because of her! She is cool, calm, collected, and knowledgable. -

A seamless experience for us
We are so happy we chose Blue Orchid Events for our wedding coordination. We planned our South Florida wedding while living in Rhode Island and both of us working 80-hour work weeks, and we knew we were going to need a lot of help. We also didn't have a super clear idea of what design we wanted for our wedding so we were going to need a lot of direction. Abby really came through for us! She is incredibly professional, responsive, and experienced. She helped us budget and stay on track with the mountain of tasks that needed to be done. With Abby, we found every single one of our vendors including the venue space, and every vendor we used exceeded our expectations. She met with us and the vendors over Zoom, working with our hectic schedules, and she also met with us a few times personally when we were in town. When we were lost about what to do with our wedding design, Abby gave us some amazing suggestions and it all came out beautifully at the wedding. A few days before the wedding, our hotel where we were supposed to get ready cancelled because of a hurricane, and Abby stayed on top of communicating to all the vendors about the last minute change in plans. On the day of, she and her assistant helped us stay on time and were on standby, always looking to us if we needed anything. It's clear that Abby loves what she does because it shows in her work! We highly recommend Blue Orchid Events for any couple that wants a seamless wedding planning experience :) -

She has an unparalleled network of amazing vendors that she brought on for our big day; her expertise throughout the entire process—from larger design concepts to small day-of items—was invaluable, and we are so grateful for her support not only on our wedding day, but in the months leading up to it! The best investment and stress reliever
Abby went above and beyond to make our day absolutely PERFECT! Abby had to deal with not only 1 but TWO brides for not just one but TWO YEARS due to covid. She answered every question worry or concern we had no matte how big or how small whenever we needed. She made us feel so assured that everything would go as planed on our day. As an extremely type A person this is hard to do. Everything went exactly as envisioned and we seriously could not have pulled off the most magical day without her. I say to every person that asks the absolute best thing you can do is hire a planner, specifically Abby. Best decision we made!
Let me start by saying this is a very overdue review, but I cannot thank Abby and her team for making our wedding day a dream come true! After a rough start to wedding planning with a different planner, we found Abby and immediately knew that she would be able to give us the guidance we were looking for. Her organization, recommendations, and professionalism gave me peace of mind and helped bring the entire wedding vision to life. Being a type A person and an out-of-town bride, I worried a lot about forgetting or missing things during the wedding planning process, especially planning a wedding from a different state. Abby covered absolutely EVERYTHING which helped me relax in the months leading up to our wedding knowing that Abby would bring anything to our attention that needed to be taken care of. On the day of, Abby and her team made everything run so smoothly even when our timeline was off due to hair and makeup taking longer than expected. Out of this world!!
It's hard to put into words how much we appreciate Abby and her team. We hired Abby after already having a lot of changes to our wedding and then covid happened and multiple postponements later, we were finally able to have our big day. She stuck through it with us and helped us keep almost every vendor through each date change. She was literally my savior through this planning process, kept all the details organized and my anxiety at ease. If there is one person you need by your side during your big day (aside from your spouse) it's her. She handles everything like a boss and I couldn't be more pleased with how our day turned out. She worked with our vendors to make sure our day was exactly how we wanted it and I could not be more grateful! -

The most professional perfect wedding planner - Abby!
It’s taken me two days to put my thoughts to words about how unbelievable this weekend was. As we were planning I kept saying there were three things that were most important…. The cocktail hour, the flowers and the band. What I should have realized was the most important thing was the planner. I’m not sure you know, but Rachel picked you immediately and didn’t want to listen to any other suggestions. By now you know when Rachel makes
up her mind about something she’s usually very confident (and usually right). From our first meeting to our last hug you were unreal. I can use all the adjectives…. Calm, detailed, responsive, available, re-assuring, prompt, etc… but they will never be enough to express how unbelievably fantastic you are at your job. I was TOTALLY able to experience enjoy, and be “present” for the entire weekend. I didn’t have a single second of worry and it is all because of you and your team. Sydney was great in handling Friday night……also a beautiful evening. -

It'll be the best day of your life
If you want your wedding day to *actually* be the best day of your life, and you don't want to be crazy stressed out during the planning process, hire Blue Orchid.
Abby Gallagher, the owner of Blue Orchid Events & Design, is extremely competent, highly organized, incredibly responsive, wonderfully creative, and a natural problem solver. From the big picture all the way down to the smallest details, Abby makes planning a wedding simple and stress-free. I selected our date, found our venue, and then hired Blue Orchid for their partial planning package. Blue Orchid gave us a short list of vendors for each open category (catering, photography, stylist, florals, etc) and the ones we selected from their list were equally on-point. Not only was the planning process a breeze, but when it all came together on the day-of... it was spectacular. Abby and her team truly love what they do, and it shows every step along the way, in addition to the day-of.
The best decision I made regarding my marriage was saying 'yes' to my now husband when he asked me to marry him, and the second best decision I made was hiring Blue Orchid to plan our wedding. -

Key piece of our wedding experience
I am not from Florida originally and was really worried about planning my wedding and didn’t know where to start or who to trust. I did not necessarily go into wedding planning thinking I would hire a planner and I am BEYOND glad that we had Abby. There is a reason she has so many 5 star reviews! She came on to help us for day of in what was an incredibly stressful work/life/wedding planning tornado and from our first interaction made my husband and I feel incredibly comfortable and taken care of. She is amazing and I genuinely don’t know what I would have done those weeks before the wedding without her. To know that I could go into my wedding day absolutely knowing everything was taken care of was priceless. -

Incredible devotion and reliability
Our wedding would have been good without Abby, but she is the one that made it spectacular. We hired Abby as a “day of” planner and she started working with us 1-2 months out from our wedding day. It was at that time that things started to get very stressful in the wedding planning process and Abby was there to step in, take most of the tasks off our plate, and tie it all together. She is incredibly good at what she does. She is extremely organized, professional, reliable, flexible, easygoing, fun, creative, and compassionate. She communicates so well with all of the vendors and is efficient in making a day-of timeline that works for everyone. Abby was critical in helping to solve conflicts and miscommunications between us and the vendors when issues arose. She took extra time out of her schedule to help resolve them because she wanted our day to be perfect. Abby also was the one who led us to some of our most amazing vendors based on her recommendations. She is respectful and is a great listener - she genuinely wants your day to be exactly how YOU want it to be. Abby was always available to speak with me and answer any questions I had throughout the whole process without any form of judgment and made us feel like her only client. She brings only positive vibes to your day and her compassionate, fun energy is palpable. I cannot recommend Blue Orchid enough for your wedding day - we owe so much of our magical day to her! -

The BEST Coordinator!
Okay, where to even start. Abby is hands down the BEST coordinator there is. I cannot thank her enough for how special she made our day. We hired Abby for month of coordination. She contacted and organized all my vendors to make sure everyone was on the same page. When it came to day of... OMG, Abby was there from get ready to sparkler exit. And she was always easy to find. She even came to steam my bridesmaids dresses and my wedding dress the morning of. An absolute treasure she is! You needed something, she had it in her magic fanny pack. For example, my husband forgot deodorant, and we were all already at the venue. No worries, cause Abby whipped it out her magic fanny pack. She also coordinated the rehersal, and the ceremony went so smoothly on wedding day. Just a blessing, to have that relief off my shoulders the day of so I could relax and truly enjoy my most special day. Abby will take care of EVERYTHING! There is no better coordinator out there. You've found her, and what a gem she is. -

The best decision we made for planning our wedding was to hire Abby at Blue Orchid Events!
I say this to everyone – hiring Blue Orchid Events was the best thing we could have done for our wedding! Abby was amazing and we cannot thank her enough!! She was recommended to us by another vendor, which I loved knowing our vendors had worked together before. Abby was extremely organized, efficient, and really brought my whole vision together. We had the partial planning package and worked with Abby for almost a year leading up to the wedding, and of course, on wedding day. We had hired a few vendors prior to hiring Abby (requirement for the partial planning package) and she really helped me pull together the design and vision for the day including flowers and upgrades that really brought the day together (chivari chair and charger rentals, dance floor wrap, printed menus and favor tags). Abby got quotes from several vendors for each area and set up zoom calls with those we wanted to consider. She communicated timelines and expectations with vendors prior to the wedding and on the wedding day she took care of everything while we got ready and took pictures! If you don’t think you need a wedding planner, you are wrong – you need Abby and Blue Orchid Events. We could not recommend them enough!! Thank you, Abby! -

Best money spent on the whole wedding
There aren’t enough words to describe how amazing Abby is. My husband and I live in Michigan and planned our Florida wedding during a literal pandemic. Abby made everything feel easy and smooth and normal. People asked me throughout the process if I was so stressed and honestly I couldn’t have been more calm, all thanks to Abby’s guidance. She kept me focused on getting things decided with plenty of time, and reminded me when I had upcoming deadlines. She had excellent vendor recommendations and helped us negotiate pricing to stay within our budget. Not to mention the fact that she is a delight of a person. I would highly recommend everyone use a planner for their wedding, and Abby was a rockstar. So grateful to have found her at the beginning of our wedding journey! -

Abby all the way!!!! 💯
Abby was the perfect coordinator, leading up to the big day and especially day-of! She is still to this day one of our favorite parts of the whole wedding planning process. As event planners by trade, my now husband and I knew almost exactly what we wanted and needed help with, but did not have the bandwidth to do it all. Most of the help we needed was on the day of the event as there were SO many moving parts, but Abby proved herself amazing throughout the whole time we worked with her. (It also helped that I felt I could trust her right away. Her bubbly personality I picked up on as we chatted for the first time over the phone totally won me over!).
In the months just prior to the big day, Abby was fantastic at being the go-between with our hotel and was our best advocate, especially because we had some communication issues with the hotel coordinator. Abby was able to understand our needs and communicate them diplomatically and with grace, and work out any conflict. In fact, we wish she was present for us at our tasting at the hotel (which happened 9 months in advance of the wedding, because that's when we were able to make it down to FL).
In the days leading up to and including our big day, Abby seamlessly transformed herself into an extension of us - our arms and legs, she was our octopus tackling all our to-dos that we weren't able to manage as the "stars of the show." My husband and I were able to relax and know that everything was being handled the way we wanted with confidence.
Day-of, Abby was particularly great at workshopping the change of ceremony location due to that day's rain. She not only helped work out the important details but also was a shoulder to cry on and a voice of comfort when I realized I was not going to get my dream of getting married outside on the boardwalk. She was patient and gentle as I processed the information, and also guided me in making those timely decisions in moments of high stress.
We love Abby and would highly recommend her company and services to anyone and everyone looking for a wedding coordinator! -

I cannot fully express how grateful I am to have met Abby from Blue Orchid Events & Design. We had the most pleasant and outstanding experience in hiring this company, knowing that they would make our wedding dreams a reality. We met Abby & her team at the Fort Lauderdale Wedding Expo shortly after our engagement. We were looking for a full wedding planning service because we needed a professional to help make our day beautiful, allow us to enjoy the planning experience, and were overwhelmed with the enormous amount of details. I knew from the moment I met Abby that she was the right person for the job. Abby has been professional, organized, kind, helpful, trustworthy, communicative, supportive, and just incredible. Perfect in Every Way!
I can't recommend Blue Orchid Events & Design enough! We went with the Partial Planning Package with Abby after selecting our venue, photographer & DJ. From there, Abby helped us every step of the way over phone calls, zoom, and emails since this was during the pandemic. She is so organized, efficient, and knowledgeable about every step of the way, advising you as you go along on options that stay within your budget. When it came to the design of the event itself, she completely helped bring my vision to life with the right furniture rentals & florist. The actual day of the event, I don't know what I would have done without her. From little things like making sure the bridal suite had champagne flutes, to coordinating with the venue, to helping me clean off raspberry jam that spilled on my dress during cocktail hour, I could not have had a more perfect day thanks to Abby & her team. I had no idea what problems may have arisen that day because she just made it so perfect. I can't thank Blue Orchid Events enough, and recommend them more highly. -

Incredible planning experience!
Abby and her team were absolutely wonderful to work with. I am so happy that we found her early on in our wedding planning process because I cannot imagine pulling off the magical wedding day we had without her. Our venue was a “blank slate” venue that required finding and bringing in vendors for every part of our wedding. Abby had great recommendations for everything and was so helpful in managing all of the vendor communications leading up to the event and managing the set up and timeline the day of. I can truly say that I had a stress free wedding planning experience all thanks to Abby. She kept me on track with planning, and it was so nice knowing I didn’t have to worry about any of the details on our wedding day because Abby and her team had them all covered. I cannot recommend Blue Orchid Events enough! -

Abby and Aubrey are the absolute best! I hired them as our "month of coordinator" and their dedication to our wedding was worth every penny. Looking back at all of the last minute changes that had to occur, my family and I don't know what we would have done without their help and instant solutions for anything that came up. There are truly not enough positive things we can say about our experience with Blue Orchid Events & Design. Abby & her team are an incredible group that will help you create the wedding of your dreams. I met Abby at the Ft.Lauderdale Wedding Expo just a month after getting engaged. I was in search for a full wedding planning service because I was overwhelmed & had no idea where to start. From my very 1st interaction with Abby, she was extremely professional & confident. She immediately put my worries to rest & once we hired her company, she got to work right away on creating an organized timeline on what we needed to get done in the 9 months leading up to our wedding. What I loved was that she treated the whole process as a true collaboration, giving us ideas & vendors that would fit into our vision & budget, but still allowing us to ultimately make all of the final decisions. She attended every vendor meeting with us, & was available anytime we needed her. Wonderful and exceptionally professional!
Abby and her team are simply wonderful. We had hired Abby to help execute our month-of plans and logistics for our destination wedding pre-Covid. Around 6 weeks out from our original wedding date in the Spring, we made the decision to postpone another 8 months. This was a difficult decision and Abby, although not technically contracted to provide any assistance quite yet, made a point to be available and helpful as we navigated a truly unprecedented process that was at times confusing and discouraging, never mind the emotional stress of it all. She always went above and beyond. As the pandemic dragged on, so did the constant pivots and changes we had to make to our wedding plans. We ultimately downsized our wedding from 230 guests to 30 taking multiple precautions around testing, etc. The planning seemed to never end, and Abby was agile and on top of it. We had a series of obstacles to overcome from our venue staff, guest count, changes to the itinerary and throughout it all Abby was by our side and encouraging. Her professionalism is unmatched and her kindness and patience is a gift. Most of all we enjoyed getting to know her and having her with us when our wedding finally arrived was amazing. Abby and her assistant Ryanne were so amazing! I highly recommend working with Abby and would definitely hire her again and again. I started planning my wedding with Abby about a year in advance. She was always so involved and attentive to every detail and super accessible. My wedding theme and colors ended up changing a few months before the wedding, Abby totally re-adjusted to make sure my vision and what I was imagining for the big day came to play without any issues. I went through lots of ups and downs in the planning process, especially due to COVID and several new restrictions but Abby was always reassuring and ready to pivot as needed. My wedding day turned out absolutely perfect, Abby and her assistant Ryanne arrived early to help set up and really made sure everything was exceptional. They were both so caring and excited for me on such a special day, I’m forever thankful to have had them there. Ryanne even helped make sure that my Zoom call with family in Brazil worked out perfectly too. Married my best friend with the help of Dana & Blue Orchid
I hired Blue Orchid Events for their Month-Of-Coordination package and I am so so happy that I did.
I had pretty much planned every detail of the wedding on my own (with some help from my now husband and our families/bridal party), but I knew that I would need help with the timeline of the day and thus hired Abby and her team.
Exactly one month before the big day, I received a message from Dana who had been assigned to be my main point of contact.. and essentially best friend for the next few weeks. I honestly thought that all of the details had been taken care of but Dana thought of the smallest little details that I didn’t even realize needed to be taken care of. We had so many things happen in those weeks… two heartbreaking, unexpected deaths in our families, funerals, unanticipated travel, you name it.. But Dana was extra supportive and worked around all of this to create an amazing timeline and plan for our day. After 13 months of planning, I made it to the rehearsal without any nervousness or anxiety. I was completely at peace knowing that everything was being handled and would go on without a hitch the following day.
Well, as we all know, we can plan all we want but some things are simply out of our control. On the afternoon of our wedding we had crazy traffic that we did not anticipate and it caused a lot of our family and friends (my own parents included) to completely miss out on the cocktail hour at our venue! My dad requested that we extend everything one hour and Dana made that happen with ease! I honestly don’t know what time we had our toasts or what time we did our parent dances but I do know that Dana guided us along, adjusted when we decided to cut things out, listened to us when we needed a minute and made it so that my husband and I enjoyed the whole night. We danced, we drank and we had fun with our loved ones. I had zero concerns that whole day, even with the delays, because I trusted Dana (and her assistant Aubrey) wholeheartedly. The whole night was incredible and I truly have Dana, Aubrey, Abby & the whole Blue Orchid team to thank for that.
I recommend them to any couple who is looking to have their cake and eat it too!

Words cannot describe how amazing my wedding experience was!!! As someone who had very little time to plan a wedding, I was so thankful to have found Abby's company online. From our very first call, she possessed everything I was looking for in a wedding planner, including professional, organized, creative, knowledgeable, patient, and sweet.
As someone who also lives in Boston, I appreciated how Abby took the time to drive us from one venue to another while we were visiting Fort Lauderdale. She spent 16 hours with us for over 2 days!
What I also love about Abby is that she has established incredible relationships with vendors in the Fort Lauderdale and surrounding towns. So not only are you hiring Abby and her team, but you're also getting introduced to amazing people who will make your day even more special!!
As you can see, the value you get for having a wedding planner by your side from start to finish doesn't come close to what you pay. Do yourself a favor, get a wedding planner, and enjoy every single moment of your wedding experience like I did!!!

The best choice we made!
Abby was absolutely amazing! My husband and I were long distance, working full time jobs and full time grad school so we knew we needed someone to help guide us and keep us organized during the planning process. She made our wedding everything we wanted and more. She reviewed the vendors we had booked prior to meeting her, thousands of inspiration photos I sent and immediately got a feel for the vision we wanted. Abby is very creative and detail oriented. The Best Wedding Investment
Abby was by far the GREATEST investment we made for our wedding. I cannot emphasize enough the difference Abby made in our lives. As soon as she came onboard, she made us feel so at ease and organized. She was on top of every detail and vendor to ensure all was planned and executed to perfection. Abby and Dana were incredible the day of the wedding. They took all of my boxes of decorations and favors and perfectly decorated the venue, and even more incredibly, packed it back up neatly in our room without us ever noticing. Truly a necessity for any wedding
We approached Abby in December 2018 with a request that may have frightened any other planner. We needed a wedding planned in about 5 months and wanted it to be adventure and travel themed. On top of that, my now-husband and I work crazy hours and often travel for work so aren't always available when needed. Abby not only took on the challenge like a pro but she was the most competitive in terms of pricing out of the many planners we spoke to. Abby walked us through every step of the way, and saved us a LOT of time by handling all the communication with vendors herself and the planning on their end, so that we wouldn't need be bothered. She went out of her way to have phone conferences or meetings during non-business hours, whether early in the day or later at night, so that we wouldn't need to stress with our work schedules. On the day off she was crucial to helping us keep our calm so that we could focus on the happiness of the wedding itself. She did everything from taking all our personal and vendor supplies, setting up all the décor at the venue, coordinating with catering and photography and the DJ. Not a detail was missed! We truly could not have had out fun wedding without her and I think any bride needs to do themselves a favor and make sure to hire her! -

Hire blue orchid now
Abby is an amazing wedding planner! We hired her for month of coordination and we are so happy we did. We got married at a beautiful outdoor farm venue and there was a ton of stuff to coordinate with all the table and chair rentals, decorations, figuring out where to put everything, etc. We knew we needed someone who could take charge and make sure all the moving parts worked smoothly and as soon as we met with Abby we knew she was that person. She's super organized, professional, and just an amiable person. She gave us a bunch of vendor recommendations before the wedding, and she did a site walkthrough with us at our venue to make sure everything was perfect. She knew all the right questions to ask and made it so easy for us. I gave her a kind of ambiguous description of what I was looking for in terms of decor and a bunch of misc. decorations I had bought. I figured she would put everything together nicely but when I arrived at the venue the day of I was floored. It looked like we had spent 5 times more than we did on everything it was so professional looking!!! Abby and her assistants slaved in the hot sun all morning to get that farm looking like a million bucks and I could not have been happier. There was not a single thing that went wrong at our wedding all because Abby was so on top of everything. I cannot recommend her enough. And her pricing is very reasonable!! She did so much more than I was expecting. I could go on and on but I'll just say that you must hire Abby for your wedding!! She is seriously the best :) -

Relaxed Planning with A Professional Company
Abby and her team at Blue Orchid Events made my wedding day the best day of my life. I know that sounds cliche but it is true. I couldn't have been happier. She saved me money, organized everything, and made the day really special. What surprised me was how relaxed I was on the wedding day. I got to eat and enjoy my friends and family. I don't think many brides can say that. I worked with Abby on my wedding for a year and enjoyed every minute of it. I would highly recommend Blue Orchid Events to anyone who is looking for an amazing wedding planner in the Ft. Lauderdale/Miami area. -

Abby was my best investment!
As organized and detail-oriented as I am, I could not imagine what my wedding day would have been like without Abby by my side. Planning a destination wedding in Florida from New York in less than 10 months was no easy task and hiring Abby as my month of coordinator was my best investment. Her professionalism and calm and cool demeanor will put even the most stressed out bride at ease! She is so knowledgeable about the industry, gave great suggestions and recommendations to ensure our wedding was exactly what we wanted. She also handled some of the toughest tasks from master timelines, juggling all of the vendors, the ceremony rehearsal and made sure the day ran smoothly and most importantly - on time! Abby and her assistant Danna are the sweetest, kindest and most fun pair and I am so lucky to have found Blue Orchid Events & Design. A true pro and major asset to any wedding!
As a gay couple, we told Abby that we wanted to throw tradition out the window and she was an excellent resource as we were getting all of our details together! From the first meeting, she impressed us and we knew we'd be in good hands and she didn't disappoint. She always maintained her cool, even with a few of the hiccups on the day of the wedding with one of our vendors. She was great with our families and kept things flowing flawlessly. She's a true pro and also has relationships with so many other vendors in the city so she can not only make excellent recommendations, but it was amazing watching her seamlessly integrate with our other vendors since they already knew (and thought highly!) of her and her team! -

Abby and her team are amazing!
Abby and her team are amazing! They helped make sure every detail at our wedding was perfect. Abby was super responsive to all of my texts and emails, asked all of the right questions, and I felt so comfortable with her. On the day of the wedding, her team steamed all of the bridesmaid dresses, fixed my bustle when it came undone at the reception, and were there throughout the day and night with anything I needed. Organization at its finest
Abby was the best decision I ever made for this wedding! My fiancé and I had not even planned to hire a coordinator as we were doing pretty well planning ourselves. However, the venue did not have the best coordination and with planning a destination wedding we realized we needed Abby for our special day. We hired Abby as our day of coordinator, but she was so much more than that. promptly responding to our emails, and helpings find vendors and budget services, she provided so much helpful insight. I never worried about a thing from the morning of the wedding through the entire day. Abby took care of everything! From coordinating each vendor, placing all of our DIY items just so, and everything else running smoothly, I truly just had to show up and have the best time of my life!
Whether you need your whole day planned or a day of coordinator, Abby is the one to use. Truly absolutely HIGHLY recommend her for your big day! She is a wealth of knowledge, handles everything professionally, and she makes you feel so comfortable, like talking to a good friend. -

Simply the best!
From the moment we had our first meeting with Abby, we knew that she would be the perfect fit for our big day. She truly listened to us explain our vision and the end result far exceeded any and all expectations. Abby is such a kind person, so easy to work with, and was always available for a quick call to chat through details. She also did a good job of keeping us grounded, telling us if something we were thinking didn't fit our budget or wasn't logistical.
Our wedding was SO stress free and it all came together so seamlessly. We wouldn't have been able to do any of this if it weren't for her. She was professional with every vendor interaction. and kept us on schedule right up until the day of. We love Abby and are sad to not be working with her anymore!
I would recommend her to all newly engaged couples, she will not disappoint! -

Abby took on the challenge of helping us plan a Miami wedding in 3.5 months from 3 timezones away (we live in San Francisco). We hired her as a partial planner. During the planning process, she was flexible on meeting times to match our west coast schedule, and had good insight into the overall list of things that we needed to get done leading up to the big day. Abby provided some good vendor suggestions and helped with guidance on some of the larger and more confusing decisions, like selecting a florist and catering contracts. She did a great job of communicating with vendors and following up with them. Only critique we had on the planning process was that we could have used some more rigor from Abby. We were procrastinating on some decisions, and probably needed some scare tactics to finalize some things.
On the weekend of the wedding, Abby was indispensable to us. She took care of literally everything - even things we didn’t know she was taking care of. She personally picked up all of our rehearsal dinner decor and arranged everything so that when we arrived all we had to do was enjoy the party. At the wedding, she communicated with every vendor and nothing was out of place - we never had to lift a finger for anything to get done. Abby even decorated our wedding cake with florals after a miscommunication between the bakery and the florist, so she has many talents as well.
She was a pleasure to work with, had creative ideas, strictly adhered to our budget and just a great planner in general. -

I don't know how I would've had the PERFECT wedding without Abby. I worked with her over the course of about a year before our wedding and she was 100% professional, responsive, and pleasant every single time we communicated. I can't believe how lucky I was to find her since I don't think I would've gotten the same level of quality service from anyone else. Abby is so kind and lovely, and was so patient with me. Where does one even begin with writing a review for this marvelous piece of work?! Abby is YOUR GIRL. Stop hesitating or debating over whether you think you *need* a wedding planner….You NEED Abby!
I found Abby in perfect time — about two months before my wedding — and she was a true God-send! Immediately from the start, she made me feel calm and like everything was going to be okay — and it was! We sat down together about a month before the big day and we went through EVERYTHING together: who my vendors were, what I had for a schedule so far, what my vision was for the decor, what my vision was in general, etc. There were big holes in my wedding to-do list and Abby stepped right up to the plate. She rolled up her sleeves and got to work in helping me finish all of the last-minute planning details that I just didn’t have the time for. She called all of my vendors, confirmed their services and arrival times, sent them each schedules, and helped me figure out a transportation schedule for my wedding guests.
Fast forward to wedding day....I’ve never felt so RELAXED…I knew my wedding was totally handled and there was nothing for me to worry about. I just had to drink my wine and enjoy my day :)
If there were any problems on my wedding day, I didn’t have a clue. She always had her clipboard in hand with all of the details, schedule, phone numbers…everything at her fingertips. My mom was always asking her questions, needing this, needing that, and while I was rolling my eyes, she handled all of her questions, favors, and needs with grace and a genuine smile.
Also, Abby is just a really cool person! She’s got such an interesting background and is just a lot of fun to be around — which made it easy to have her be with me on wedding day.
If you’ll take anything away from reading this review, it’s two things: 1) Let’s face it, you’re reading reviews for wedding planners — so you NEED a wedding planner and 2) That wedding planner should be Abby. Trust me.

I cannot rave enough about Abby of Blue Orchid Events and Design! Abby is the most caring, detail-oriented, responsive, and organized wedding planner. She really goes above and beyond to make sure her brides have the most amazing wedding experience.

I hired Abby for month-of wedding coordination services. To say she is the most professional, organized and friendly vendor I've had the pleasure of working with is a huge understatement. From from our first meeting, Abby impressed me with her hospitality and attention to detail. I knew immediately I needed her on my team! She always made herself available to communicate with me and was prompt when responding to texts, calls or emails. She worked with me to understand every aspect of our wedding from site visits to vendor calls and even decor inventory.
