We worked with Big Guava for our January 2026 2-day Indian wedding in Orlando and had the best experience! From our first call with Rima, her positive spirit and genuine enthusiasm for this job were so clear. Leading up to our wedding, communications with Rima were very timely and open – we probably asked her the most ridiculous questions, and she was ready to help every time. During wedding weekend, her attitude and her team really made us feel relaxed. Kalgi and Sahil were the most helpful and kind people we could have asked to work with – whether it was helping get jewelry on or randomly appearing with margaritas, they truly did it all! -

My husband and I got married Dec 2023 and we attended nine other weddings the same year. Without being biased, I have to say, I felt like our wedding was one of the better coordinated weddings we attended! Rima was meant to be an event planner! Her professionalism, friendliness, and meticulous attention to detail was exactly what we needed in a planner. She will listen to you and execute your vision. We went with the Wedding Management package, which primarily is a weekend-of option. Despite that, BGE goes beyond what is on paper to offer a unique hands on approach from the moment your hire them until your events. As a result, there is zero confusion on BGE's part on the day of your event which was definitely a stand out from some of the other weddings I attended. You will not be disappointed.
Do not worry if your wedding is not local to Tampa, you will never feel like Rima and her BGE team are not present to help with your wedding. My wedding was in the DC area and Rima was still present for all necessary in person checks and is always available for a video call check in. For my situation, Rima being a DC native was a major plus. She was knowledgeable of everything available for my market. I know she goes above and beyond for any other destination wedding.
There were a few last minute fiasco’s that happened before my wedding (as they do for all) and Rima intervened as quickly as possible to get the job done with out causing drama. Btw, she’s a favorite with elders. She will tell your elders to get it together when needed in the most calm and respectful way possible. No yelling at guests and family! My family really appreciated that. At a multi-day Indian Wedding, that deserves a gold medal. The entire team really made everyone feel special. Cheers to BGE!

BGE was an absolute lifesaver! Always available, she handled every detail with incredible professionalism and care during the hectic week leading up to 5 day wedding. Honestly there were things that didn’t go as planned ( as there always is) I didn’t even notice or know until other people told me weeks later. You need this team if you want an easy smooth wedding. It was worth every $$. Her calm demeanor and expert coordination made everything run smoothly, allowing us to truly enjoy the moment. From last-minute changes to flawless execution, she exceeded all expectations. We couldn’t have asked for a better partner in planning our dream wedding. Highly recommend! -

We had a Gelato Cart and she even coordinated getting all the leftover gelato back to our house ! -

The Big Guava Team (Rima and Sahil, I mainly worked with) are absolutely a dream team. I don't often write reviews but their professionalism, friendliness and cordination skills warrant one. They truly care about the event and always willing to go an extra mile to ensure that the bride, groom and their families are at ease and able to enjoy their event by taking the pressure of them. They're also amazing at keeping great communication with other vendors. Many of our guests and the entire bridal party recognized their efforts in making our wedding hassel free for us. 10/10 recommend them for your event! -

The amount of love I have for Big Guava Events can't be understated. The attention to detail, the care for our guests, the love and support given to us through out our wedding process and ensuring we stayed happy thought out our special day couldn't have been done without them. Hiring Rima & her team at Big Guava Events was the best thing we could have possibly done to be stress-free and enjoy our wedding weekend! We hired Rima a year before our wedding and leveraged her partial planning services. From the beginning, Rima was helpful in guiding us on pros & cons when selecting vendors, put together a mood board for us as we discussed decorations, and overall helped guide us in our wedding planning process. We also appreciated her vendor recommendations and the synergy in which she worked alongside them (i.e Nikun Events, Awaaz Entertainment) She was patient with all of our questions, flexible in working with us while we are based on the West Coast, and put together amazing spreadsheets that outlined all the details of our wedding. During the wedding weekend, Rima & her team executed a flawless timeline. Her team was kind to our family & bridal party and made sure all vendors were punctual and everything ran seamlessly. If there were challenges or issues, Rima & her team handled it with ease and without adding stress to us or our family. I especially appreciated the personal touches they added to our wedding weekend (i.e sending a getting ready playlist at 4:30 AM or making sure we always had a drink/food in hand) We are so grateful for everything they did to make our wedding weekend so special! We were blessed to have Big Guava Events coordinate our large Christian and Hindu wedding -- with two ceremonies in one day! Rima and the entire Big Guava team were professional and detail oriented from the inception of our contract through its completion. Rima was extremely cordial and approachable and she responded to all inquiries in a timely manner. We felt comfortable bringing up any questions or concerns and every detail was addressed appropriately. Our families were also extremely happy with Big Guava's service and felt comfortable throughout the entire process. We felt like the Big Guava team was part of our family during our special day!

Big Guava Events was a pleasure to work with! Both Rima and Sahil are the sweetest and really go out of their way to make sure you are stress-free on your big day!
Big Guava Events was recommended to us by a friend who also had a large Indian wedding. The moment we signed with Big Guava Events, Rima sent us a spreadsheet package to help us organize literally every single detail of our wedding. From photoshoot ideas, to speeches, dances and even the meal you would like prepared for you on your wedding day. This was extremely helpful as I am very OCD and love organizing my thoughts and ideas.
We signed with them in February of 2020 and unfortunately our wedding planning became very stressful due to the pandemic. However, Rima was very understanding during the entire process and helped us re-organize our plans, as we ended up having a much smaller intimate wedding at a completely different venue in December 2020. She sets up monthly phone calls to review what you have, what you should be working on and checks up to make sure you’re following the timeline. If you are missing certain things, she will send you recommendations on where you can purchase the items. She is also very attentive and responds quickly to all messages. My husband for instance is Gujrati, I am not, so she also was helpful enough to send us a list of things we needed during the ceremony, specifically for Gujrati wedding ceremonies. She even helped us find a company to purchase our Garlands, which came out beautiful.
On the Wedding Day, we had a team of 3 come out to the venue. She assigned one team member to me (the bride) and another team member to the groom. They were literally with us the entire day making sure we were okay, they kept us hydrated, and kept asking if we needed anything. My team member even lifted up my dress as I walked, as it was EXTREMELY heavy. Everything went smoothly. Thankfully Rima even types up a detailed timeline for everyone to follow. During our wedding day, one of the team members got sick and had to leave mid-way through our ceremony, but because Rima prepares everyone prior to the wedding and makes sure to review the timeline with ALL the team members/vendors/wedding party, we had absolutely no major issues. I was surprised how well they worked under pressure.
I would recommend Big Guava Events to anyone who needs a Wedding Planner!

My wife and I are Indian so naturally we were having an Indian wedding (in December 2020). We found Rima through the Little Brown Diaries group on Facebook. Little to our knowledge, we found out Big Guava Events was based locally for us as well! Rima was such a pleasure to work with. Since she's Indian too, it made the whole event super smooth as we didn't have to explain every little nuance/requirement of Indian wedding traditions to her, she already knew all of them.
We were impressed with her from the get go. She took the time to meet with us virtually at first and walk us through the services she offers and the custom package built for us based on the events we were planning on having. She gave us the time and space to review the details of the package and was welcoming to all of our questions. Looking back, her recommendations and estimates from her custom package were spot on.
Once we signed, she dove right into our wedding coordination. She gathered the details of all our vendors and immediately started coordinating with them. While my (now) wife and I were busy with wedding shopping, finalizing dances and tackling the beast that is the Indian wedding, Rima was working in the background with our vendors to ensure the events transitioned smoothly. She made sure she gathered all the important information from us before the events so we weren't bothered it with during the weekend. She had pre-created templates to gather info for things like a photo shot list, dances, speeches, and even what food the bride and groom would like to eat during each of the events. During the days of the events, Rima came with a team of 4 (including herself) and we cannot overstate their dedication to our special weekend. She had a team member each with the groom and bride throughout all of the events to ensure we were prepared, on time and most importantly, enjoying ourselves. Sahil and Priya went out of their way to make us feel comfortable even though it was our first time meeting them. They had a pack ready for any potential mishaps and kept us hydrated. They even had a straw for my wife to drink out of a water bottle since she was in full on makeup/lipstick! The entire team made sure every one of our last minute requests were met and made us and our families feel none of the stress.
2020 was a trying year for everyone and we are so grateful to close it out on a positive note with such a positive team. If you're even slightly considering hiring Big Guava Events for your event, save yourself the time and just do it. It is literally the best money we spent for our wedding weekend. -

Big Guava Events was recommended to us by a friend for our baby shower. Expecting our first child and overwhelmed with the amount of things left to do before she arrives, my husband and i wanted to host a baby shower with minimal amounts of stress. We were connected with Rima, and right off the bat, our stress levels decreased. Rima's energy, motivation, determination and flood of ideas was exactly what we needed! We had worked with previous event planners in the past, but always felt that we were doing all the planning and organizing. With Rima, I can confidently say that we did not have to do ANYTHING! She was organized (checklists, google docs, weekly phone check ins) and always available via text and phone to address our questions and concerns. From the photographers to the venue, even as simple as decorations and where to get the most affordable yet glamorous items, Rima was 100% in. She provided us with simple and hassle-free task lists which were manageable for my husband and I to get through.
I would indefinitely recommend Big Guava Events for any event, whether it be a baby shower, wedding event, or anything. She is knowledgable, and the connections she has in the DMV area AND Florida area is simply magnificent. My husband I were very impressed by her professionalism, candor, and work ethic. WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND! :)
