As a person who’s an organizer and a planner in all that I do, it isn’t easy to put your wedding day plans in the hands of someone else. In finding excellent online reviews for Big Day in Key West, I finally made the call. From my first conversation with Stan, he assured me that his team would work with us every step of the way. One of my greatest concerns was weather in planning an outdoor event. All the event planners I reviewed advised you to have a backup plan in the event that weather wasn’t optimal on your wedding day. Stan reassured me not to worry as Big Day in Key West would work with us should the forecast decide not to cooperate, this alone lifted a huge weight off my shoulders. Stan eased all the worries I had in planning a destination wedding and truly made the planning process easy and stress free.
Stan was quick to respond to questions I had and provided recommendations for lodging close to our Smathers Beach ceremony location. They offer many different packages, many choices depending on what you’re looking for, all at reasonable prices. The “Dream Package” we selected included arches, lanterns, seating, flowers, all with a choice of colors or options in addition to music, officiant, and photographer. The sand ceremony and ring exchange box were a very nice touch to our beach wedding. We could not have asked for a more perfect day… the weather was perfect and the ceremony location beautifully and professionally setup, it was absolutely stunning and true perfection!
Our Officiant, Carl, did an amazing job in providing a blend of contemporary and traditional vows, making the ceremony something most memorable. Our Photographer, Julia too was amazing. Her professionalism and creativity were top notch. She captured our special day in ways we could not have imagined. She kept us engaged and it was important to her to incorporate any photo ideas that we had into our portfolio.
We cannot thank Stan and his TEAM enough for taking great care in making this day most memorable and the best day ever!

Stan and his crew are amazing! From making you feel comfortable and welcome, to explaining the process and asking for your input. The photographer was fabulous and hyped us up the whole time. Stan was awesome! I came from Colorado to have my Vows renewed and I couldn't ask for anything better. He did everything from the flowers, seating,music and the set up and background were beautiful. He definitely made it super easy and stress free. I really appreciated it. I recommend having the ceremony in the evening like we did the lighting was perfect! The officinet was so nice and very caring she took pride in the ceremony. The photographer Julia was very sweet and professional. She was amazing! Stan and his crew made our destination wedding absolutely stunning, hassle free and beyond perfect! Stan was prompt with any questions I had, easy to work with and handled everything so our day could be about us and not the frills. It was absolutely stunning and I didn't have to worry about anything beyond showing up. The photographer was absolutely amazing (and very helpful). The ceremony it self was all taken care of and looked even better than the pictures, I had plenty of options to choose from and even made a few tweaks (via email) for my preferences. For anyone looking for a breath taking ceremony without spending an opulent amount of money or fretting yourself to death this is the only option. There wasn't one thing about our ceremony that could have been better. Not one thing. The decor, the price, the location.... all of it was perfect. Honestly, I was a little nervous trying to plan a wedding via email and ended up having to go to Key West anyways so I decided to check out the hotel, ceremony and few other things. The trip, while always worth it, wasn't needed. I planed the entire wedding in about 2 weeks over email and ended up with a princess worthy wedding day. I will forever be grateful for the perfection that was our wedding. Thank you Stan!!!

We used Big Day in Key West for our wedding in October 2021. We picked the Paradise package, and neither of us had even been to a destination wedding before so we weren’t sure what to expect. And now that it’s done I can’t say enough positive things about the job that Stan and his team did for our wedding. Everything was done beautifully, there was no stress whatsoever on our part. Anyone I ever meet from this point on who’s looking to have a destination wedding I’ll recommend Big Day in Key West to, with vigor. Magical Wedding on Smathers Beach 11.20.2021
I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to work with Stan and his team at Big Day in Key West for my son's wedding on November 20, 2021. Without Stan I have no idea how I would have arranged a destination wedding for my son, his new wife and 60 guests. Stan was very easy to work with and responded very promptly to all of my emails. He was very detail oriented. He made the day so magical from the beginning to the end. Everything from the flowers, the cake, the photographer, the vows, the music, the transportation was perfect. I have received wonderful feedback from my family and friends, some even saying this was the best wedding they have ever been to. Thank you Stan.

I can not say enough good things about Big Day in Key West! We used Big Day in Key West for our wedding at Smathers Beach on 12/3/2020. I started working with Stan a year or so before our wedding day. Stan was very responsive to all of my email, had great communication, very detailed oriented, professional and easy to work with. I was able to change things within our ceremony package to make it just how I wanted. The ceremony set up at Smathers was perfect and flowers were beautiful. We also used Stan and his team as our day of coordinator for our reception. The whole day ran very smoothly and everything was perfect. It’s hard to plan a destination wedding, but Stan made the whole process very easy. Big Day in Key West was able to make all my beach wedding dreams come true. I highly recommended using them if you are doing a destination wedding in Key West!

I also left this review on Google, but Stan deserves recognition on all these sites. We got married 10/30/20 and Cannot recommend Stan and Julia enough. It's nerve wracking planning an entire wedding through email, but Stan made the whole process so easy and stress free. We had our wedding at Fort Zachary Taylor-R4 site. Our family was so impressed with the location and how beautiful Stan had set up the site. Stan is so easy going and easy to work with. He was even so flexible and accommodating after we had to postpone the wedding due to COVID. Do not hesitate, definitely book with Stan, you will not be disappointed!

Such a beautiful and stress free elopement!
Stan and his crew at Big Day in Key West were amazing! When my fiancé and I had to cancel our Hawaii elopement due to Covid-19 travel restrictions, I was so nervous to re-plan a whole new elopement in a new location in less than a month. Stan was very communicative and responded quickly to all emails to ensure our elopement day was perfect. The entire planning process was stress free and I couldn’t have been happier with how our sunset elopement on Smathers Beach turned out. The location, vows, flowers, photos - everything was perfect! Our Officiant, Christopher, did an amazing job blending traditional vows with our personalized vows. And our photographer, Julia, was beyond amazing. She captured our special day beautifully. A dream come true
We had an absolutely amazing elopement on Smathers Beach thanks to Stan and his team at Big Day in Key West. They are very responsive, paid attention to every little detail. Ordering their elopement package took all the pressure off us. They have arranged everything and they have done a perfect job. All we had to do was show up and say I do!

Simply amazing !
It can be a little scary when your doing a destination wedding out of state, as your putting your hands in people you won't meet until the day of but since the get first email with Stan I just felt completely comfortable and I know this was the perfect place for us to go through ! Always quick to respond, and answer any questions I had with an honest opinion as they do this day in and day out so they are the experts and know best. They made it so simple and easy for us, all we had to do was pick our package and our add ons and they did the rest ! We chose the Sunset Package and then added in the white aisle runner and the rose petals, and we did opt to make our own playlist, but they do have a playlist you can use as well. You can 100% put your trust in them. We may have only emailed back and forth a total of 5 times, but he will always email you when it's that time that the need something from you so no need to worry if you don't hear from anyone in a few weeks, they got this ! I did not meet, or see the final set up, until the day I walked down the aisle and it was just the most intimate beautiful set up I could have ever imagined ! Everything we wanted and more. The flowers are so gorgeous, all premium fresh flowers. Julia Roy is an amazing amazing photographer, and she just knows every exact pose, placement, everything to just make your pictures just look like they are straight out of a magazine. We added on the extra hour of photography as well, and it was more than worth it! We only just get previews back for pictures, but we absolutely cannot wait to see the rest ! Everyone just went above and beyond to make our day so special, and it was beyond beautiful. We highly, highly recommend anyone looking to get married in Key West to go through Stan & Julia. Truly amazing people. Thank you so much for the perfect day ❤️
*Side note: the marriage license took us all of 20 minutes to get, and then we just handed it over the day of the ceremony and they took care of the rest !

My now wife, who is the best at research and planning, came upon Big Day Key West while we were deciding on the possibility of doing a destination wedding. We have vacationed in Key West for three years now and we both call it our happy place. After contacting Stan we knew right away this was for us. Very attentive and promptly answered every email. I arrived prior to my wife to keep with the tradition of not seeing the bride before the wedding and words just do not do justice to how amazing the set up was. It was everything we asked for and so much more. To put it lightly, Stan is a master of his craft. The photographer Julia was a genius for photos wether it was background or poses and was fun to work with. The Perfect Low Key Wedding
If you are indecisive about planning a destination from far away, Stan and his team at Big Day in Key West will put your mind at ease. I'm from West Virginia and planning this special day was an absolute breeze. This was a pretty low key wedding with 20 close friends and family. Everyone commented on how beautiful and tastefully done the ceremony site was. From the ceremony site, to the cake, flowers, music, hair and makeup, everything was perfect! I had my wedding ceremony at Fort Zachary State Park at the R4 site. I then had the Old Town Trolley pick everyone up and take us to the reception. Also if you see something you like on Pinterest, ask Stan if he can make it happen, I guarantee he can! I cannot thank Stan and his team enough; they made our wedding absolutely perfect! One more thing, the photographer that he works with is named Julia Roy Photography. We just got our preview pictures and they are absolutely stunning! I can't wait to see the rest of the pictures if they are as good as the preview pictures.

'Big Day' Made Ours the Biggest Ever!!!
Posted this same review in Google reviews but deserves to be published everywhere anyone looks: My now wife Michelle did most of the arranging since she is one to research carefully and select the best providers, services, etc. With our beach wedding we decided on Key West and then found 'Big Day'. From the first correspondence, Stan was attentive and set a very confident and care free tone. He listened to what we wanted - I would not say we were very demanding - but he delivered in spades. My beautiful bride is now absolutely over the moon with how everything went. It was truly magical, from the flowers (we specified specific colors and Stan delivered!), to the minister, to the photographer. Julia, the photographer, is a genius of creativity, the right composition and playfulness in addition. Stan and his team have made our special day even more magical and memorable than we would have imagined. Don't look anywhere else!

The most stress less experience ever
When I decided on a cruise destination wedding, I knew Key West was the spot! I found Big Day in Key West on a whim and am so glad I did. The whole process was the most stress less experience of my whole wedding trip. Stan was amazing. He saw and executed my vision to a T. We talked and exchanged emails maybe only a total of 8 times but once I arrived on site it was as if we planned thus wedding a whole year in advance. The flowers were beautiful, cake amazing, the photographer lovely, the officiant heartfelt! I would Hands down recommend this company for you key west wedding needs

I literally asked Stan every question in the book and emailed him about a 1000 times. Not once did he make me feel like I was asking too much. He was so welcoming and understanding of everything. My wedding was literally out of a movie kind of perfect. Thank you to Big Day in Key West for making all of my childhood dreams come true! He even included my dog as the ring bearer.

Stan made sure that our destination wedding went off with out a hitch. He was great with communication from start to finish. We choose the Caribbean Breeze package and it was just beautiful. The only thing we had to do aside from getting the marriage license was just show up. Everything was setup exactly how it had been advertised, and all we had to do was pick the color choices/options and the type of cake.
The wedding cake we choose Red Velvet, was delicious and delivered to the restaurant where we chose to have the reception for no extra charge. The florist they work with did a fabulous job, my bouquet even made it back to NJ in one piece. Our officiant was very nice, and the sand ceremony added a nice touch giving us that special keepsake to take home. The photographer, Julia Roy was very nice and easy to work with. She took many pictures of us alone, with our family and guests and during the ceremony and they came out great. We had a small wooden sign made it was hand made, very nice. The ceremony was truly a dream come true, all of the details tied in perfectly. I highly recommend a Big Day in Key West for any ceremony, they do such a great job and take pride in what they do.

Big Day in Key West is the way to go! We are from Texas so we had to plan everything via email and phone. We signed up for the Paradise Package and added a few things to that. EVERYTHING went so smooth! From the makeup and hair artists showing up to my hotel, to the limos picking us up on time at separate places, to the ceremony on the beach, colors, flowers, photography, video, music, officiant, set up, everything! We thought for sure there would be a glitch somewhere, but there absolutely wasn’t. It was perfect. Everyone was so welcoming and helpful in every way. The best day of my life!

When my husband and I met in 2015, began dating etc- one of the important elements was that the other want to get married one day. When we shared what our dream wedding would be like, it was nearly the same thing! We both, individually, dreamed of an intimate beach wedding with the scenery doing most of the decorating. Once we became engaged, we began looking for a way to plan a Key West wedding while living in Oklahoma. After much research, we compared several “package” plans and Big Day in Key West towered each time. The website had so many options, but so easily packaged. It was super easy to pick something that worked best for what we wanted. Stan was FANTASTIC at emailing me back with answers to my questions before we fully made the commitment to Big Day in Key West. That level of communication never stopped. He was in contact at various times as we approached our wedding date. When the day came, we were excited to see it all come together there on the waters edge. EVERYTHING was EXACTLY as we had discussed and hoped for. Our ceremony was brief, but sweet and intimate. Stan gave us plenty of time with our arch and decor for pictures and asked before beginning to take those down. There are few times when something can be planned from over 1500 miles away and go so perfectly, but I have to attribute that to Stan and the way Big Day in Key West takes the worry, frustration and question out of things. It’s a fantastic company and I’m honest enough to point out flaws if there are any and in this situation, it was FLAWLESS. We talked the whole trip home about how carefree that entire process was and how that was our dream wedding come true.

Let me start with the fact that I am a PERFECTIONIST- almost to the point of excessiveness. Big Day in Key West thought of everything! I’m always skeptical of finding things online, especially one that is so important but I cannot explain how easy Stan and his team made it- I was underwhelmed with the amount of things I was responsible for. All the details- bouquet, minister, and even the beautiful cake they delivered to our dinner afterwards were flawless. The price is sooo great and the quality of the service was over top-of-the-line! Thank you all so much for making my day carefree and absolutely unforgettable.

If you come across this review, I encourage you to go with Big Day! You can tell the quality of everything they do is A1 even by their website and then when we showed up everything was perfect and so easy. The quality of pictures were so awesome as well people thought I got married in Dominican Republic or something and of course I didn’t tell them it was right here in Key West! Trust me Big Day is the way to go!

What a great company! Thank you Stan for putting together our day and even though it was only the 2 of us for our simple elopement, everyone made us feel on top of the world. The bouquet was the most beautiful as I’ve ever seen, our officiant was phenomenal and I cannot speak highly enough about Julia our photographer! It was a beautiful location and well worth everything. The Fort was an excellent choice for us. The location was perfect. I highly recommend Big Day In Key West!

Stan and his team with Big Day in Key West are AMAZING!!! At first planning a destination wedding seemed like an impossible task, but Stan was there every step of the way! Any questions or concerns I had, he immediately answered and put me at ease. My husband and I are so happy we chose Big Day for our wedding! Everything was perfect-down to the last detail. Who knows, we might even do our vow renewal with them too.

August 5 we had the most beautiful and perfect wedding. That all goes to Big Day in Key West for making that happen. Really nice people. Easy to work with and answer questions quickly. We couldn't be happier that we chose Big Day in Key West for our wedding! When we decided to cancel our big wedding in St. Petersburg and elope to Key West, I did a lot of research on reviews of wedding planners in Key West and it was obvious that Big Day was in a class of their own! We planned on a destination wedding (we live in Virginia) and as I have never been to Key West or been married before I thought it might be stressful but from the first phone call until after we said I DO- Stan and his team were amazing! Stan took the time to answer any questions I (the nervous bride to be) may have had along the way and took the time to add personal touches which made our ceremony so special and unique for us. We chose the Ocean Key wedding package and were not disappointed. Michael was our officiant and he was fantastic- very courteous and professional the whole way through. Julia was our photographer and my now husband is not a big picture person but she had him laughing and enjoying every minute and all the fun poses. She was patient and we cannot wait to see how all the pictures turned out.
If you are looking for a team that will make your wedding day as special as you want it to be- I highly recommend you choose Big Day in Key West. You will not be disappointed!! We will remember and talk about our wedding day and this team for many many years to come!

Big Day was AMAZING!! If you are planning on getting married in Key West, pick them! A couple words to explain this team and my experience with them - stress free, simple, perfect, outstanding, seamless, memorable, caring and kind. We got married on Smathers Beach in May 2016. We are from Michigan, anytime I had a question Stan was right there to answer. We went with the Tiki Package. When we arrived at the beach the team was right there to great us and explain how the ceremony would go. When you meet the team, you feel like you have known them forever. Very kind people and they just make you feel so relaxed. Tatiana our officiate could not have done a more beautiful job, incredible!! Our photographer Julia was wonderful to work with and I can't wait to see the pictures! I can't say enough how much I enjoyed my wedding day, the stress free day this team provided us with! Stan did an amazing job getting our wedding together. We had it at the Key West Garden Club and he was promptly on time and set up the chairs in a timely manner. He even went out and got gray sashes for our chairs since that was one of our colors and he originally said he didn't have that color. So he went out of his way to procure that color and make our wedding ceremony even more special. He also orchestrated the photographer and the officiant and both of them turned out to be amazing as well. I would recommend Big Day for any wedding needs in the Key West area. He kept in touch and kept us informed all along the way. All you could ask for in someone in charge of some of the particulars of your special day.

We contacted Stan in August 2015 regarding renewing our wedding vows rather than a marriage. Stan was very efficient in getting back to us by email through to the day and answered all our questions. We chose the Tiki package which was set up in a beautiful location at Smathers Beach, Key West. Stan had also added a few extras we didn't expect which made a perfect setting and set up. Tatiana was our officiant and performed a beautiful and meaningful ceremony we will keep in our hearts forever. Julia was our photographer and must have clicked a few hundred photos for us. It was quite a windy afternoon and my hair was a bit of a problem, so it will be good to see how the photos turn out. We have already seen a few which was on Big Day In Key West's website by the evening and they were lovely, can't wait to see the rest. Everything was so perfect for our special sunset vow renewal, in a beautiful location carried out with professionalism. Our ceremony was so personal to us and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect time. A very big thank you to Stan, Julia and Tatiana and would highly recommend them to any future couples planning their special day.

We fell in love with the company the first time we set a meeting. My day would have signed a check right away if it wasn’t for a fact that we were meeting with a few other wedding companies that day.
Wedding coordinator assigned to us was always there to answer every question, to walk us thru choices and to keep things on track. Our coordinator was very passionate about everything, talking about someone who in love with his job! Our ceremony was great, the location was beautiful and the pricing was very reasonable.

Great outcome on organization and implementation of out wedding by Big Day in Key West. Our wedding coordinator have assisted us every step of the way and kept everything as close to schedule as possible. The photographer that we used (Julia)was very talented and easy to work with. She suggested different poses and different places. Officiant was also very attentive and nice. Between all three of them we had the A-Team! You will get exactly what you want if you entrust this team from Big Day in Key West.

Big Day saved MY DAY!!!
The weather was nasty on my wedding day and the whole week prior. I have envisioned myself with flowing hair down my shoulders, and the wind playing with my locks.
On the morning of my wedding I was about to cry but I had to face the fact… Wedding had to take place, rain or shine as I have ONLY waited for it for 7 years :)
Company assisted me with booking hair and make-up vendors (Casa Salon) who have done a phenomenal job with an up-do. It looked so much better than straight hair... I am happy for the rain now looking at my wedding pictures :) Another thing was that I worried about my make-up but it was also fine!
Big Day moved the time up for us to get in the "rainless hour" and it drizzled only after the toast took place.
I wanted to say that it was a journey of 10 phone calls and many texts checking on the weather, on the status, on the backup plan… I was a nervous mess… When it was time for the vows the officiant (Tatiana) took me aside, spoke with me, showed me breathing technique and have found perfect words to make it “all right”.
They are truly amazing professionals who know what to do in the state of emergency such as rain. Rain on the wedding day don’t have to be a disaster if you working with professionals!

I had my wedding in November at Smather's beach in Key West. Key West is a beautiful little town we love to vacation at; it was simply logical to get married where we were always happy. We wanted classy yet modern ceremony. We chose civil ceremony, and it was very very nice. My arch was decorated with lavender, sunflowers and spring flowers. Gorgeous and cozy-just like we wanted. We were looking for a green & environmentally friendly outdoor wedding. Stan suggested burlap style wedding at Smather's beach in Key West. All flowers and décor were white. It created such a good vibe of fresh, simple and happy ceremony. We loved everything!

Our outdoor wedding with Big Day was amazing!
Very detail oriented and prompt;returned all of our emails, phone calls, voice mails free of charge. (2 other wedding planning companies said that we have 1 hour!!! worth of phone time per entire wedding and limited to set amount of emails)
The Key Lime package was exquisite! All our guests were very impressed!

Friendliness and flexibility of company’s staff deserve applause. Great location (Smather’s beach of Key West), great personnel and their attention to detail were keys to success of our wedding. Our wedding was completely worry free and stress free. Our guests were also very impressed.

We were happy with our choice and grateful to Stan from Big Day in Key West for all the help we received. We were looking for a relaxed atmosphere on the beach for our wedding and wanted our guests to be comfortable. Our wedding was very casual yet very classic. Big kudos to company’s event planner whom we drove crazy without a doubt. We needed turquoise and turned down her turquoise choices there times. We accepted the fourth shade and changed our mind 2 days prior to ceremony. My fiancé found coral on Pinterest and it became “life or death” matter. Our ceremony was ideal! The color, the location, the sand ceremony, the pictures… Thank you wedding planner lady, sorry your name is too hard to pronounce….

We really loved the location of our ceremony on Smather’s beach in Key West. It was easily accessible to our guests. We have a handy-capable who was attending from CA, she literally had to walk only few steps and there was a ramp she could use. Oh, the parking was free as well. The beach, the weather, the water were beautiful. Our wedding was perfect, big thanks to the staff of Big Day in Key West.

George and I are very particular. Very. What can I say? Boys have great taste...
First company we contacted had no idea how to accommodate us. We needed lavender. LA-VEN-DER. AKA blooming meadow in northern France. They kept suggesting blue as it was the same. Hmm. Second company tried to push rainbow on us (Whaaat? We were not born yesterday or confused. We get it, they made an investment into new trend). Big Day knew what lavender was, they even understood the warm and cold under tones of lavender, but...did not had it in stock. Guess what? They did made it happen! Just for us. And even our child, Mr. Ripley got his own , custom made lavender bow tie free of charge! And let us tell you there is NOTHING cuter than a pom pom in a bow tie.
P.S. We asked our wedding officiate to wear neutral shade of lavender and she did. We were so worried that our wedding pictures would look ridiculous because of someone's wardrobe malfunction. But she got what we wanted, sweet girl....
Anyway, these people are good and if you have exquisite taste they are what you looking for.

My third and hopefully last wedding. First was the most expensive at $30,000.00,second was boring and practically free at the local court house and third was at the beach in Key West!!!! My wedding pictures are to die for. I am not sure what Julia from Julia Roy Photography did with her camera but I look taller, slimmer and flawless(or almost flawless) in my wedding pics. Excellent value for the price, this team over delivered. If I was to marry 4th time, I would do it with Big Day! Just kidding, hope third time is a charm:)

This was a great experience that my wife and I will never forget. ! The guys were so pleasant to work with and made us feel at home. They kept in contact with us to ensure everything would be perfect. They work within your budget and made sure we didn't overpay for anything. Our wedding ceremony took place on the beautiful Smathers Beach in Key West. It was my dream location. I had found 'Big DAy in Key West !' while doing a google search for wedding places . Their website was very detailed and professional which I feel shows a dedication to their profession. Since the wedding date was only one week away from when I made the phone call to them, I wasn't sure if they could accommodate us. When I spoke with Stan he told me they could perform my ceremony and assured me that the short notice was no problem. I was feeling good about my decision. When our officiant arrived she greeted us with a warm friendly smile and asked us to pick a spot for our blessed event. She explained what would happen and performed a heart felt ceremony that we will never forget. I am so happy that we choose this company ! I truly feel that they love what they do and it comes across in their work. I highly recommend this company for anyone planning a wedding!!!!

Very impressed by the amount of quality this company was able to fit in a small short ceremony. We were "on budget" and prepared to receive "what we paid for" but were literally swept off our feet.... Bunch of freebies from flower petals to family portraits with our aunt and uncle. And customized wows....
We are sooo renewing our wows next year with Big Day in Key West and hopefully our budget will be bigger :)

Big Day in Key West made sure we had the best possible experience. Stan has helped in every part of the process and he was even so kind to give us a couple of upgrades free of charge when it turned out there was some construction close to our ceremony location. We had a very unique ceremony and I especially loved the bouquet. It was unlike anybody else's!
