So friendly, so beautiful, so flexible

Originally when I saw the inn I wasn’t sold, it’s slightly dated (but charming) and would be a bit far for friends and family (we live in Boston and family all over) but their responsiveness and flexibility sold us. They were so nice and so accommodating the entire way. We loved that people could stay on site ( but no minimum night stay requirement) or could stay at b&b or Airbnb in town. The activities like the pool and golf were great too. Everything, including the weather was perfect. We did a tented wedding which I loved, I didn’t like that cocktail hour was near the parking lot, but in the end it really didn’t matter. The food was excellent, they let us really chose anything we wanted and made it happen. They made the signature cocktails just like we requested and they were so delicious. Everyone on site was so incredibly friendly from bar tenders to servers. Jonathan was an awesome day of coordinator and really made sure it was smooth and easy, the staff did all the setting up and it looked beautiful. All our guests loved the bethel inn too! During our process the inn did get bought by a larger company but we never noticed any change in our planning and process. I’m not sure if they are going to continue to have weddings under new management but if they do- I say do it! Loved it so much!
We took photos at their boat house and they were so kind to prepare a canoe and clean it, our photographers were impressed!

Magical Wedding

We got married this October at the Bethel Inn and had an absolutely magical wedding, that frankly exceeded my expectations! We had to reschedule our wedding from 2020 due to the pandemic, and Brad and co. were great in guiding us through the process, and promptly and kindly answering our many, many questions throughput a 2 year planning period. The Inn itself is charming and quaint and I felt like I was on a movie set the whole weekend. The backdrop for the ceremony is beyond beautiful and the staff were truly wonderful, warm and had a keen eye for detail that truly made everything better. The food was delicious (I still want more of those meatballs) and everything was perfect. We can’t wait to back for our anniversary. Book your wedding here. You won’t regret it.

Bethel Inn - Perfect place

My wife and were married at the Bethel Inn on September 15, 2018. What a perfect place to get married. Our guests are still raving about what a great time they had and what a beautiful backdrop that the Bethel Inn setting provides. Our wedding coordinator Tammy helped us work through all of the details without any pressure. She talked from experience about what worked well and was open to our ideas and thoughts. She was very helpful in recommending and lining up other local vendors to make the day go off without a hitch. The food was awesome, the band was clicking and the day was just perfect from beginning to end. The Bethel Inn is the perfect place to have a beautiful wedding.

Amazing views, staff, and experience

Tammy was amazing. She was always available to assist us whenever we needed to change something or had a question. We had the perfect day and we are so happy we chose the bethel inn resort to celebrate our wedding day. I would highly recommend the resort to any brides planning their weddings.

The Bethel Inn Resort

The Bethel Inn was a gorgeous setting for our special day! Tammy was so helpful with every aspect of helping us with planning and the staff was very accomodating with our requests. It was a perfect day and we got many compliments on how smooth everything went! We would recommend The Bethel Inn to all couples!

The team at the Bethel Inn were so amazing. We were married at The Bethel Inn on 11/11/17 and did a whole wedding weekend with our family and friends. Our guests still tell us a year later that our wedding was such a wonderful time. The wedding coordinator gave me all the tools I needed to get things planned, and the entire event went out without a hitch. Tammy knows weddings, she made sure everything was planned and perfect even though her daughter was getting married the very same day . She also has a list of excellent vendors (I cannot recommend Savage Photography or Dionne Entertainment enough) and will go above and beyond to get you any special request you may need. If you are looking for a wonderful, affordable venue in New England, then take a look at The Bethel Inn.

Tammy James and the Bethel Inn were everything we were looking for in a venue! We only did a reception celebration and chose this Inn because of its location, the tavern downstairs and Tammy the wedding planner was a bonus! Everything was perfect and beautiful and Tammy did everything to make sure we enjoyed every minute and didn't have to stress.

I was so excited when I found the Bethel Inn for my wedding venue. I was very discouraged when all of the venues I looked at were extremely pricey. The Bethel Inn is cozy (even in the summer). The packages are super comprehensive and include A LOT! This really helped when planning. Tammy is amazing at working with you and making sure you're getting the most for your money. She is also super flexible!
I thoroughly enjoyed my wedding at the Bethel Inn. The weather was not ideal, but Tammy made me feel at ease and was quick to help make decisions and make sure everything ran smoothly. She even finished setting up the room so I could finish getting ready for the ceremony and it looked amazing! She did an amazing job with the finishing touches and helped me feel more at ease the day of. Tammy did an absolutely amazing job making sure my day went perfectly. Tammy truly went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect.
All of our guests were thrilled with the wedding saying the food was great, the mountains were beautiful and the Inn was amazing! I can't say enough good things about the Bethel Inn, Tammy and the staff there. I had an amazing day and hope to go back for each anniversary!

Our wedding at the Bethel Inn was amazing. The bridal suite was very nice and newly remodeled, and provided a comfortable place for the bridal party to get ready. Its location at the top of the stairs from the lobby made it central to all of the activities and an ideal location to be in. The ceremony was held on the 9th fairway, overlooking the White Mountains, and couldn't have been any more perfect. The staff at the Inn were very friendly and easy to work with. Tammy, the wedding coordinator, was an absolute pleasure to work with and made everything less stressful than we thought it was going to be. We bombarded her with questions in the months leading up to the wedding, and she was always very responsive, friendly, and helpful. She and the Inn are very accommodating and will do whatever they can to make your day special and help you realize your vision. From giving the bride's father who has a limp a golf cart to take the bride out to the fairway before walking down the aisle, to placing an order for pizza for people to eat at the after party, Tammy made it easy to plan every detail and make things comfortable, fun, and enjoyable for everyone that was at the wedding. Once the day started, we didn't worry about anything because we knew Tammy had it covered. It was so nice to just enjoy the day and not think about all the little details around us. We would recommend Tammy and the Bethel Inn to anyone looking for a wedding venue. It's particularly nice for people who are traveling, and a nice getaway spot for a weekend wedding.

Amazing venue for our wedding with incredible views and incredible service. All staff was attentive and made our day special with getting everything set up perfectly and having it go off without any problems at all. Rooms were excellent and very large. Beautiful golf course and mountain views. All of our guests were blown away by the quality of our wedding could not recommend more.

We could not have been more satisfied with the service that we received at the Bethel Inn! We chose the Bethel Inn Resort because it was able to accommodate our ideal wedding with an outdoor ceremony and indoor dining. Our wedding coordinator helped to facilitate our day which made it much more enjoyable. Our guests told us that the food was delicious and we were happy with the day of wedding service. Compared to other wedding venues in the area, the Bethel Inn is by far the best option!

The bethel inn helped us with a wedding nightmare of having to change out venue 1 week before our wedding. Staff went above and beyond to make sure our night was perfect! The transition was smooth and as stress free as can be! Beautiful weekend with amazing accommodations.

We had the most perfect wedding at the Bethel Inn. The wedding coordinator, Tammy James, worked tirelessly to make everything so easy and seemingly effortless. She was so flexible with a few last minute changes due to weather, and did everything with a warm smile. Everyone at the Bethel Inn was so welcoming and accommodating, and we have such fond memories of our special day! Can't wait to go back!

Honestly, the last place I planned on having my wedding at was golf course. However, after Tammy mentioned the covered bridge for the ceremony, we were sold. The wedding coordinator, Tammy is fantastic. She coordinated with the tent rental people and took care of so much. She was truthful about which vendors to use and who to avoid. With over 200 people invited and paying for ourselves, we were pretty limited on options, but the Bethel Inn was the perfect solution. Their cake vendor did a great job matching the picture I sent her. All of our guests had so much fun and after being told to turn off the music several times, we all just moved into the bar. And our rehearsal was in the town green right out front of the inn, which worked out great. I think Tammy is a huge part of what makes this venue great.

Tammy and her team we absolutely top notch!! They put together the most magically wedding weekend!

My husband, James, and my family traveled from all over the country to stay the wedding weekend at the Bethel Inn. It was our home away from home. The venue was perfectly set up to keep all our guest happy and together. Whether we were sharing a laugh on the front porch chairs, having a quick lunch while over looking the bean bag games, or meeting up for the delicious breakfast we were always able to be together.

We were hoping on the wedding night to have a bonfire and we did (with the help of one of the waitresses firewood from her home). They went above and beyond to make our wedding weekend so easy and special.

Just be ready for all of us to come back for our 5 year wedding anniversary! So happy we have this place to go to as our special place.

Thank you Tammy!! You were amazing!! Helping with Monica the flower girl or making sure my dinner got back up to our room for a late night snack. . . you did so much to make it just flow beautifully!

Thank you - Maine is the best place! And The Bethel Inn is a treasure.

If you are looking for the wedding of your dreams, The Bethel Inn Resort is the place! I can't put a value on the fact that EVERYTHING is in ONE place. The venue is gorgeous, the service was outstanding, the staff were so helpful, Tammy was so relaxed and on the ball, the rooms were cozy, and so much more. I felt like we had the entire resort to ourselves for the weekend! From waking up and strolling downstairs for buffet breakfast with your family the day before and the day after the wedding.....taking a walk out on the golf course, enjoying the moments of family checking in, having the bar to go to after the reception, and the ease of everyone being in the same place....this meant SO much!

We have heard from several guests that it was the best wedding they have ever gone to. So many people remarked about the food and service at the reception following the ceremony as well as the meal.
Tammy did such an amazing job. Everything from helping with the plans from start to finish. She stayed in touch and was always accessible. The ultimate professional!
Kate did such a great job with the bar. She was so friendly with the guests got a kick out of her and she knows her drinks.
The entire staff was welcoming to everyone. We heard great things from so many people about The Bethel Inn.

We had a wonderful wedding at Bethel for our son and his wife! Tammy could not have been more helpful and Bethel is a great place for a wedding. The hotel and townhouses were great accommodations and led to fun times for all. The wedding itself that the bride and her parents arranged was better than ever, food delicious and eac morning the breakfast was yummy too. We would highly recommend Bethel for an event. And of course having the golf course right there is another reason to bring people there!

The Bethel Inn was such a special place to have our wedding. From the day we booked over a year ago the wedding coordinator Tammy James was always available for questions. Tammy made sure we stayed on track with everything and whatever I was unsure of she took the reins. All of our guests raved about the venue, food, and quality of everything. For what most weddings cost today we received exceptional value. My bridesmaid made our cake and we opted out of flowers so we were able to take the money for those items and have wine on every table. The Bethel Inn didn't force anything on us we did not want they merely suggested what we might like. Extremely flexible and fun place to have your wedding! We cannot sat enough - thank you!

Tammy and the rest of the staff at the Inn were all wonderful. The dinning room is comfortable and inviting. I wanted an outdoor weeding on the beautiful golf course but the weather did not permit. We had an option to use a room (back up plan) inside that was just fine.

Our guest are raving about the food and the staff. It was a wonderful time. The tavern downstairs is great too!

Tammy was an amazing wedding coordinator. She is an expert in her field. She has a very calming presence, which I found to be very helpful on such a hectic day. Tammy and the Bethel Inn were very flexible with our wedding package. We were able to create the reception we really wanted. I would recommend the Bethel Inn for any type of event, especially a wedding.

As far as the wedding and the planner for my son and daughter-in-laws wedding goes, everything was great and Tammy James could not have been more helpful to all of us.(She gets the 5 Stars, Not The INN Management) The Bethel Inn on the other hand really screwed over a lot of people. When the wedding was booked, the hotel had plenty of vacancies and everyone wanted and BOOKED rooms IN the inn. All the guests wanted to stay in the hotel were the wedding so they could have a good time and just go upstairs when it was over. The worst part was my sons 86 year old grandfather who thought they had a room in the inn were bumped to some Sh&tty room down the road. When it was time for him to leave my mother-in-law had to go with him and stay there vs. taking him upstairs to bed and coming back. Everyone got bumped from the inn (even though they had confirmed rooms) because they had a more important guest call to book rooms. I myself had a very nice condo down the road but a lot of people had some real dumps and had to drive back in forth. If you plan a wedding and want rooms in the inn, get it in writing with a money back clause if the manager decides to bump you for his VIP guests.

We worked with Tammy at the Bethel Inn and had a terrific experience with her and the entire staff. They were flexible, accommodating, and eager to help out with the planning and logistics. The Inn was able to provide recommendations for vendors, timeline of events, among other information that was helpful in the planning process.

The Inn grounds are beautiful, and very conducive to an outdoor ceremony and tented reception. Our wedding ceremony was held on the 18th fareway with the White Mountains in the background. The Inn staff was very quick at setting up the ceremony and making sure every detail was coordinated (a good thing when you are hosting on an active golf course!).

One of our favorite things about holding our wedding at the Bethel Inn was that it is fairly close to Portland, and most importantly, it serves as a "campus" for the weekend events. We rented town homes and had our wedding parties stay with us, and were able to host dinners in them, relax in them, get ready in them, etc.

The food was great. The bartenders were a huge hit - great attitudes and quick to please. The Inn was very willing to work with us on the menu and make things available that don't come with the "normal packages".

We would absolutely recommend the Bethel Inn for your wedding venue.

The Bethel Inn was a beautiful place to have my bridal shower. Tammy and everyone there did a wonderful job. Everything was perfect! Would highly recommend.

Our wedding was very memorable thanks to the staff and ownership at the Bethel Inn.

A year later our guest still talk about how it was a wedding worth going to. They talk about what a great venue, how enjoyable the setting and activities were and how the event was laid out as we moved through the day without being bored or stressed. The only thing almost always mentioned was how good the food was.

But this is not the end of the story. For our 1st anniversary we returned to the Bethel Inn due to how they served us with planning and hosting the wedding.

Once again they were more accommodating than expected and priced within our budget.

Thank you Tammy James and please thank all the staff as we look forward to returning each year and more if we can fit it into our busy schedules.

I strongly recommend the Bethel Inn. We looked at 25 - 30 venues. We had a smaller than average budget. Once we met with Tammy and worked out what we thought would be everything we wanted and on our budget, then the Bethel Inn staff went to work and the value just kept going up from there. They did not need to provide any more than originally agreed upon and they certainly did not need to do it for the same price, but they kept on working with us until our wedding was much more than our guest expected and it is an event we are very proud off.

Servers were great, very accomodating! Tammy James was a joy to work with, very patient and sensitive. She really helped me with decisions, and I felt that she had my best interests in mind. Excellent customer service!!!

We hosted our rehearsal dinner at the Bethel Inn, we found it to be just the right combination of elegance and comfort . The food was tasty and reasonably priced. Staff and coordinator were friendly and willing to be flexible. Overall great experience!

The Bethel Inn made our wedding day unforgetable! We live in Massachusetts and had our wedding in chose The Bethel Inn, Bethel Maine to have our reception. It was important to me to have accomodations for my guests to be able to stay over as well as a comfortable, affordable, and quality facility. I had trouble finding such a place close to home. When we visited in Inn we were pleasantly surprised by its charm, up keep and amazing food. We spent only a few weekends up there and planned the rest of the wedding by phone and emails with their wonderful wedding coordinator, Mary Brown. She did a wonderful job accomodating our each and every want and need. Our reception ended up being completely custom made from what the Inn had to offer. They made the decisions easy for us, they gave us whatever we wanted. I can't say enough about the food, it was amazing. We had a station reception which included Garlic Stuffed Roast Beef, Stuffed filet of sole (the best), vegetables, a potato station including baked, mashed sweet potatoes, and purple peruvian potatoes, with all the toppings you could as for...served in martini glassed.. amazing...., salad stataion, and last but not least an omelet station ( my husband loves eggs) with all the toppings.... I think this was the Inns first omelet station at a wedding reception... it was a lot of fun, and all the guest were quite surprised. As you can see the Inn is quite accomodating to whatever you dream reception will be. The value for the cost can NOT be matched anywhere you go. I wish I could do it all over again. The only downfall I would have to be that all the guests had to travel about 4 hours, I wish there was someplace like this close to home. But all enjoyed, there is golf, spa, and a pool for all to enjoy. We had a great time.

We were very happy to have our wedding at The Bethel Inn because it is a beautiful location, the staff was very accommodating and willing to work with us. We were able to keep in contact via email when we had questions or concerns and our emails were always promptly replied to. Also they gave us a great deal. So the combination of the beautiful venue, awesome service, and great deal made it a no-brainer for us. Tammy James was our wedding planner and she made sure that everything went through without a hitch she was very helpful!

The Inn was great at making our day special. They listened when we wanted to change the table layout and they worked with us to have a family style head table. Tammy went above and beyond to make us feel like we were the only people there! The day was everything we wanted it to be and we couldn't have done it without Tammy's help!

Since my husband and I chose to have a very small wedding with just our parents, an inn in Maine was perfect for us. The Bethel Inn was fantastic. The wedding planner, Mary Brown, was fantastic. Since our wedding was so small, we were pretty laid back, but the Bethel Inn treated our wedding as if it were for 200 people. Everything was perfect!

We had our wedding at The Bethel Inn and returned for our vow renewal because it was amazing! The venue is BREATHTAKING! The staff is wonderful, the food is delicious, and it is very reasonably priced! There are so many photo opportunities on location and I love the vintage flair. For our wedding we had everyone stay for four days and we spent the weekend there for the renewal. Their accommodations are wonderful, they have a lake house, a pool, tennis, golf, skiing/hiking within a short distance. Everyone had a wonderful time!

The Bethel Inn is a wonderful place to call your own as we did while celebrating our daughter's wedding. Many local activities, especially without having to travel, allowed our guests to relax and enjoy the entire weekend at a lovely location. Of course, delicious food, drinks and great service along with tremendous support from the wedding coordinator and staff provided for a very magical weekend for us all,. A beautiful memory and strong impression is left in the minds of many who are already planning for a reunion next year at the Bethel Inn.

The Inn was lovely and we had an amazing winter wedding. I would highly recommend the Bethel Inn. I only have one slightly negative comment: the entertainment in the main dining room must end at 10:00pm (which we were not informed of previously) so we were not able to dance the night away as we had hoped. But, we continued the party downstairs in the tavern so all worked out!

Great place. Wouldn't have changed a thing. Everyone was extremely helpful, caring and we couldn't have asked for a better venue. The wedding was 200+ people which was arguable one of the largest events that the Inn has ever hosted and everything went off without a hitch. We couldn't be happier with the service we received.

The Bethel Inn and Tammy were incredibly accommodating and willing to work with us on our wedding. From the moment we decided to book with Tammy and The Bethel Inn, we were taken care of and made to feel like kings. From being absolutely flexible about our strange ceremony set up with two aisles instead of one, to upgrading us (!) to a townhouse so we could relax (and party) during our wedding week with comfort, everything was really great. Any snafu that happened was so minor and easily fixed without worry or headache. Thank you again so much for everything you did for us!

We would completely recommend The Bethel Inn Resort to others for our wedding. We had such a wonderful time working with Mary Brown. She was able to cater to our every need (which turned out to be many needs).

The wedding price is all inclusive: no paying additional fees for cake cutting or champagne pouring (which is really fantastic!) We were able to have 170 people at about $65 per person (with tax and gratuity included!)...this included our cake, champagne toast, cocktail appetizers, place for ceremony, cocktail hour & reception, and the honeymoon suite for 2 nights!

We also opted to have out rehearsal dinner done through the Inn. We chose their Lake House which sits right on the pond with a big deck and some inside room. It was perfect for what we were going for! :)

The Bethel Inn resort was absolutely beautiful, amazing, accommodating for our March 19, 2016 wedding!
The staff were extremely helpful, not only on the day of the wedding but the days leading up to as well. Tammy James was so nice, helpful, she went above and beyond to make our special day go perfectly! We also have DJ Dave Dionne for our music, and our guests were dancing all night long! We used Simpell Design Photopgraghy! Pete and Kristin are the perfect duo! Very affordable and traveled to Maine for us!

I would highly recommend the Bethel Inn for future brides. They are flexible, easy- going, and the place has so much character!!!

Be sure to plan ahead when booking rooms as the inn tends to get busy and a deposit is required to block rooms. Also, when booking a rehearsal dinner, they have special nights (Mexican night) so make sure what you want is available on your night.

If you're looking for an event location that will bundle a lot of the costs together at a fair price, this is your spot. Very welcoming and hospitable staff, great ideas from the wedding coordinator, great food too! Just be sure to be very organized as the coordinator seemed somewhat unorganized and would often forget what decisions had already been made. Otherwise everything went off without a hitch.

The Bethel Inn Resort was an ideal place for my dream Christmas wedding, The staff was very willing to work with me and my ideas, such as allowing me to decorate however I pleased and providing an hot cocoa bar during the social hour. The Bethel Inn Resort provided great place to hold both the rehearsal dinner and wedding reception with their delicious food choices. The accommodations for guests as well as the bridal party were very cozy and quite affordable as well. I would recommend the Bethel Inn Resort to other brides looking for a classy but cozy location for a Maine wedding.

I absolutly loved having my wedding at the bethel inn! It was simialr to an all inclusive with all the different packages, and the flexibitly between the packages was great! IE if i got my flowers somewhere else besides where the bethel inn would get them they put that money that would go towards that towards something else. Tammy Jones was spectacular, and I really valued her oppinions, and they were genuine. I would absolutly reccommend getting married at the behtel inn! Its beautiful, and a great spot!

The Bethel Inn was exactly what I wanted for my dream wedding. I loved all the history that naturaly came with the place. They do so much of their own decorating that there wasnt much we had to do to make it feel perfect. From the service to the food, we were very happy! Our guest are still talking about how beautiful and fun the wedding was. We highly recommend doing your ceremony at the Newry, covered bridge. IT was was like a dream!!! They only negiative I can say, is that our wedding cordinator was not present during the reception. I wish that it was communicated to me before hand and not a surprise. The head waitress did a great job filling in, so it really wasnt an issue after all.

October wedding

This was a beautiful venue for a fall wedding. The bethel inn provided the best value out of all the places we looked at. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Tammy the wedding planner was very helpful and flexible during the whole process. We had an amazing wedding day!

Tammy was very helpful in making choices to fit our budget and in suggesting posibilities.
One negative thing was that the room wasn't really private. Club members did walk in with a business as usual demeanor during the pre-dinner festivities in spite of then sign stating that a private party was being held.

I liked my wedding planner that the Inn provided. Everything leading up to the wedding with them went well. She was quick to email me back with answers to all my questions. We got to go have dinner at the Inn to choose what would be served at our wedding. The dinner was wonderful when we had it before hand. At the wedding it was less then good. It was luke warm and tasted like it was premade and then microwaved. The bar closed an hour before it was suppose to. When the dinning room staff cleaned up after the meal they took at the favors off the table! Most of my guests didn't end up with any. And the neatness of the Inn was not really up to standards. The floors were gross and the rooms were dirty. The Inn itself is a beautiful venue but I am really 50/50 if I would recommend them.

The venue over all was good, but the planning and dealing with some of the staff beforehand was extremely stressful. We were told different prices by different people and going to be billed for different amounts if we didnt verify 3 times the correct amounts. Also, be prepared to pretty much do everything yourself! We didn't have much help from the staff while we were setting up. Also throughout the whole wedding planning process it seemed they were trying to talk us out of certain things that we absolutely wanted.

The Bethel Inn was beautiful, everyone had a great time, the day of staff were wonderful, and our pictures turned out breathtaking. My only complaints are about the wedding coordinator, Tammy.

From the beginning it was very difficult to get in touch with her, I would have to contact her multiple times and it would take at least a week but normally longer for her to respond. When she did finally respond she only answered half of the questions I asked. It was frustrating but livable and eventually I did get my questions answered.

However, the worst part was the lack of time and privacy we received on the fairway. First, we were only allowed 15 minutes prior to the start of the wedding (walking down the aisle) to set everything up on the fairway so we had our violin playing and guests arriving as they were still setting everything up. I had asked for more time and Tammy responded with an attitude saying "Well you know, the golfers pay a lot of money to be able to play golf here". I'm sure they don't pay as much as a wedding and they could have allowed us a little longer since we were paying thousands of dollars to have our wedding there. Worse still we were supposed to be able to have the entire fairway to ourselves for the wedding and then 30 minutes for pictures afterwards. We were told that the fairway would be closed during this time. There were still people playing golf and in the middle of the ceremony the golf carts were already lining up on the fairway where the wedding was and as soon as we finished the wedding they pushed closer and closer, we didn't get time for photos and the photographer had to take weird angled shots to not get the golf carts in the background of the photos. It was ridiculous! This was our wedding, the most important day in our lives, people can play golf any day.

I just had my wedding here and we ran into way too many problems to count. As soon as we signed on and paid the deposit is when we noticed the communication was seriously lacking. I had to request every invoice for all of the payments leading up to the wedding and was always sent them a couple of days before, or after, the payment was due. When you’re spending thousands, an invoice that close to the due date is unacceptable. We were given a different contact for everything and none of them communicated with each other; a lot of emails went unanswered and phone calls never returned. One point person would have been much easier. Scheduling a tasting was like pulling teeth and we were served different apps than we ordered. The event coordinator and the chef quit and we only found out when other employees were gossiping about them after. There were so many fees tacked on that we spent way more than quoted. They surprise charged us another $1k 2 days before the wedding, about $600 of which was for meal upgrades we never ordered (they took that off the bill only when I questioned it). Another chunk of that was for gratuity under the guise of “resort fee”. We paid a LOT of “resort fees”. All of the staff at check in had the worst attitudes and treated us and our guests very poorly. I can’t stress enough how rude these people were. And to top it all off, they opened the hole on the golf course back up while we were taking pictures post-ceremony and didn’t tell us until right before our wedding party was almost pelted with a golf ball. They did not give us enough time to move. Someone could have gotten seriously hurt and all we got was “sorry” before the employee went back to gossiping with the others. I was shocked by the level of unprofessionalism we were met with by a venue who does a LOT of weddings. They made the planning process incredibly stressful and, while beautiful, I would never recommend this venue to anyone. We paid thousands for the some of the worse service and treatment we’ve ever experienced.

Our wedding coordinator was on site and available for any questions you or your group may have and she worked closely with you on all details prior to the event. Our sales team and wedding coordinator make it very clear that our golf course is active and while we are able to shut down the 9th fairway for your ceremony, we can not always accommodate bridal party photos once your ceremony ends. The event photographer was well aware of the golf course deadlines and has been an on-site photographer here at the resort for many years. I apologize that our staff did not make it extremely clear when your party needed to be off the golf course and that your photographer did not move your party to the next location in a more timely manner. Safety is our first priority and it appears that we missed the mark with communicating this timeframe effectively.

The overwhelming feedback we received regarding the food was extremely positive. It is unfortunate that you did not share any disappointment with our staff at that time.

All of our amazing staff take extreme pride in giving our guests the best experience while at our resort. I know that each and every team member worked very hard to make your wedding day special and memorable.

Avoid literally at all costs, save yourself the time, money and stress

Oof, this is going to be a lot to unpack. First and foremost for the people who don't want read the whole thing, do not get married at the Bethel Inn.

As a member of the wedding party I saw the direct result of the lack of communication between the staff at the Inn and just how poorly that affected the bride and groom. No one could give a straight answer about ANYTHING. Honestly it was like the wedding department was being run by 5 different people and not one of them knew what was going on. On top of being unable to communicate a lot of the staff here has been rude and abrasive. Front desk staff giving attitude about check in, just as an example. I think one of the most concerning things was the wedding party was just told that golf would be resuming and without giving us any time to move people started teeing off, someone was inches from getting a golf ball to the head. A ball literally landed in the middle of our small group, talk about a lawsuit waiting to happen.

The Inn itself is so dated, floors are creaky, fans hardly work and a thermostat that doesn't stay regulated in the slightest. I stayed in two separate rooms and neither looked to be cleaned properly- dust on end tables and on the headboard. I can't believe how much they charge for these rooms, off season at that.

The food was mediocre at best. Appetizers were good, the main dinner was disappointing to say the least.

All in all, I won't be back I won't be recommending the Inn to anyone and will definitely warn any and all brides to save themselves the panic and book somewhere else.

Our Guest Services staff was available during your stay to assist in making any changes or improvements to your room accommodations. We did not receive any notes regarding your room or any requests for service. Our Housekeeping staff works very hard to ensure all guests rooms are properly cleaned and maintained. All guest rooms go through an inspection process prior to guests arriving. If any room was left in the condition you described, we would not have allowed it to be occupied.

All of our amazing staff take extreme pride in giving our guests the best experience while at our resort. I know that each and every team member worked very hard to make Courtney and Colin's wedding day special and memorable.
