    Polka Dot is a WONDER-Best decision I ever made

    Allie, who runs the Philly branch of PDot, is incredible. I hired her for full planning services about a year out from my wedding (Nov 2022). She helped source every vendor with creativity and organization and the calmest coolest demeanor. We started planning during covid and she helped us navigate contracts as well as help translate experiences that once were done in person into a more digital state. I had a pretty specific vision for our wedding and Allie executed 100% on it. She got me my dream vendors and introduced me to vendors I didn't know I was missing. She has every connection you need for your perfect wedding. Walking into the day everything was exactly how I had pictured it in my mind. I can't say enough good things about this company! Allie has not only the creativity and the vision, but the organizational skills, the connections, the patience, the foresight, like just literally everything was amazing. No random question too small. She was so responsive and caring. Day of ran so smoothly I didn't need to worry or be on top of anything because Allie and her team were there. I wish I could have 10 more weddings just so I could plan them with her.

    The BEST planner we could ask for

    Allie and the whole Polka Dot team were an absolutely indispensable part of our wedding. We hired them later in the process after having postponed our wedding and realizing that we were agonizing over small details that we wanted a professional’s help with. We decided on their month-of service to best suit what we needed. The month-of hand-off meeting and walk through put our minds completely at rest, and since Allie had so much experience working with our venue (the Foundry) she knew exactly all the options for use of the space. This turned out to be even more crucial as the weather forecast took a turn for the cold and we ended up having to move dinner from outside to inside the week before the wedding. Allie worked extensively with us on a completely new seating plan and layout plan, updated the rentals order, and helped us figure out all the dominoes so we had a completely smooth lead-up. During the day itself, Allie was a great wrangler and made sure that we didn’t have to worry about anything. Allie’s assistant Marjorie was also incredible, making sure I was hydrated and had a warm layer and had snacks throughout. We felt so at ease with Allie and her team and can’t thank them enough. If you are hesitating at all in working with Allie or with a planner in general, it’s absolutely 1000% worth it.

    Wedding of our dreams

    How do you adequately sum up *years* of working on a massive project together? But I’ll try. We originally reached out to Polka Dot after our venue (Gather Greene in upstate New York) recommended them, and we knew they had worked on a wedding that was essentially my benchmark for what I wanted for our own big event. We spoke to many, many planners, but eventually settled on Polka Dot because, a) as my sister the producer says, *always* go with the reference and their style seemed very aligned with what we were going for, and b) our initial conversation with Allie and Mandy gave us great confidence in how on top of things they would be. And they delivered the absolute 350% perfect wedding weekend. Since our primary planner Mandy was on maternity leave for much of the early stages of planning, we got to work with several members of the Polka Dot team. Early on, Allie was there at the drop of a hat, willing to get on the phone pretty much any time of day to talk me off the ledge regarding picking this vendor or that, and help us through the often murky waters of balancing quality and budget. When it came to designing the aesthetics, Tracey couldn’t have nailed more perfectly the natural, but elevated, vision we had. Every. Little. Detail. Was perfect—even down to the table numbers which Tracey and her husband hand crafted themselves by spray painting home address numbers and affixing them to wooden blocks to create the coolest, prettiest little details. And when my hair trial went horribly awry relatively last minute (we had to book hair/makeup folks sight unseen because vendors for 2022 were booking fast and we lived across the country in California and couldn’t travel during the early days of the pandemic) Tracey didn’t miss a beat in finding an alternative option, negotiating us out of our original contract, and alleviating all the anxiety I had about switching gears last minute. (I LOVED my new hair guru.) And then the weekend came. The weekend we had worked so hard to create, and we could NOT have been in better hands with Mandy and her assistants. My sister is a producer and often says that her job goes unappreciated because if you do it well, no one notices how much work you put into everything going perfectly smoothly. Well I’m here to say if you do it *exceptionally* well, not does everything go smoothly, but people also notice what a fantastic job you did pulling it all off. *Both* sets of parents couldn’t stop raving about Mandy—how prepared they felt to walk down the aisle, how they knew exactly where to go to do their speeches, how rain or shine they just knew everything would go off without a hitch. And guest after guest approached us all weekend long with essentially the same comments— “your planners are ON TOP OF IT.” I’ve heard a million times over that *something* will go wrong on your wedding day. That no matter how hard you work or prepare, there will be *something* that goes awry and you just have to let go of perfection. Well, thanks to Mandy and her team, that just wasn’t true. The whole weekend was sheer perfection. And we’re *very* particular people with *very* high standards. If anything at all went wrong, we had no clue. No one did. And though we definitely didn’t have the budget to pick the most expensive vendor in every category, we felt like Polka Dot helped us compile the VERY best team of vendors. We’ve gotten so many compliments about having the best food, drinks, music, venue, decor, even down to the *welcome bag snacks* which people couldn’t stop raving about. And honestly, biased or not, we’d have to agree. It was the absolute perfect weekend, and we were so grateful to have the whole Polka Dot team behind us to pull it off.

    The best planning team imaginable!

    Where to begin about Allie and her team?? Working with Polka Dot was an absolute lifesaver for my husband and me, and from our very first phone call with Allie we knew that she was the perfect wedding planner for us!! Allie is not only incredibly organized, talented, and kind, but she is also calming, funny, and excellent at working with all personalities. Throughout our 18-month wedding planning process, she was highly responsive and detailed, which kept us on track and made the planning process much more enjoyable. We always looked forward to talking to her, and she was extremely flexible with different design ideas and last-minute changes. My husband and I are very busy, but while working with Allie we viewed the wedding planning process as fun and enjoyable rather than stressful. Our friends and family could not believe we were not more overwhelmed, but it truly is because all of the heavy lifting was handled by Allie!! On the day of our wedding, Allie's team was incredibly organized, professional, fun, and well-managed. They kept our wedding day running smoothly despite needing to coordinate nearly a dozen different vendors. My husband and I had the absolute best wedding day and weekend we could ever have imagined, and in large part it is due to Allie and the remainder of the team at Polka Dot!! We cannot recommend them highly enough!!!

    Best Choice I made

    Hiring Allie was the best decision I made. I had a long engagement over covid and Allie was with my *virtually* every step of the way. She was responsive, understanding, and made the experience fun and wonderful even through a pandemic. I really enjoyed working with her and am very detailed oriented so was pretty involved in the process. The day of the wedding was perfect. If there was a hiccup I wasn't aware of it, my husband and I got to enjoy every minute of the day and can honestly say we had the best night of our lives.

    Best decision we made!

    We simply could not have gotten married with Tracey and Allie’s help! Hiring them was HANDS DOWN the best decision we made for our wedding. When it came to design, Tracey took the time to help us cultivate a vision for our wedding when we weren’t quite sure what we wanted. She provided honest advice and worked with us to make our dream wedding happen. She pays amazing attention to the little details that we would not have thought of on our own—but all those little details came together in the most beautiful way on our wedding day. All of our guests were wowed! Allie was with us on the day of our wedding—and not only was she the most unbelievable coordinator, making everything run SO smoothly (even a last minute change to move the ceremony inside), she had the absolute best attitude and was so positive, reassuring and fun. Together, Tracy and Allie are the dream team. Thanks to them we had an unbelievable wedding day and threw a party that all our family and friends continue to rave about. We can’t thank them enough!

    Excellent Experience with Polka Dot

    We had a wonderful experience working with Allie and her team at Polka Dot Events. We hired Allie just three months before our wedding date as COVID has disrupted our original plan, and we needed to transition to putting together a whole new backyard wedding for 100+ people. Working on a very tight timeline and starting from scratch, Allie did a fantastic job bringing our vision to life and drastically reducing our stress levels by taking the lead on all wedding design, timeline, and rental/vendor coordination. Polka Dot was incredibly responsive to all our questions and requests, and had great attention to detail. On the day-of, Allie and her team made sure everything went off without a hitch and solved any issues before we were even aware. We received many compliments on how well organized and planned our wedding was. We could not have done it without Allie and would greatly recommend her and the Polka Dot team to anyone planning a wedding.

    A covid wedding dream come true - hire polka dot!

    Simply put, Allie is a rockstar (as is the rest of the Polka Dot team). It’s no surprise that planning, re-planning, and re-planning (again) a wedding in the middle of a pandemic is a challenge. Hiring Polkadot made navigating these challenges, and pulling it off, so much easier. If you’re questioning whether you need a planner, the answer is yes. And if you’re questioning what planner to hire, the answer is a resounding “Polka Dot”.

    Here’s what Allie and team helped us with:
    * Being flexible with us as we scaled back on the size of our wedding (from 150 to 13 people)
    * Managing family politics and quickly adjusting plans as people were added/dropped from the final list
    * Taking everything off our hands as soon as we had our “onboarding” conversion — it literally felt like a weight was lifted off our shoulders once we started working with her
    * Negotiating tough conversations with vendors, especially when we encountered the last minute switcheroo from some who changed plans 2 days before the wedding
    * Making numerous recommendations and connecting us to various amazing vendors who brought our vision to life, most of the time at the last moment
    * Helping to bring everything together on the day of, from setup and organization at the event, to coordination with our guests, and handling the end of the night so that we could just walk away into the evening as a newly married couple

    Allie, you were our rock in this crazy, crazy rollercoaster and we are beyond grateful for you and everything you did. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts - we couldn’t have done it without you!

    The perfect planner for the perfect day

    We had an amazing experience with Kristi as our month of wedding planner in Leavenworth, WA. There were so many moving pieces as we had guests coming from all over the country, but Kristi was able to keep everything and everyone organized allowing us to just enjoy the moment with our friends and family. She coordinated our vendors, made our timeline and managed everything that came up day of. She was organized, calming and willing to do anything to make sure our day was perfect. We could not have asked for a better day or a better wedding planner!

    The best decision we could have made was working with Allie from Polka Dot Events!

    We feel so lucky to have had the opportunity to work with Allie Beik from Polka Dot Events. We just celebrated our wedding in early November and Allie and her team made the day absolutely perfect and stress free for us. Besides being extremely professional, thorough and detail-oriented; Allie is just a gem of a person and I loved having her by my side on our wedding day. The entire team we worked with had such a great energy and instilled confidence in us that everything we needed to have handled was 100% taken care of.

    The whole process leading up to our wedding was also a dream. We actually booked Polka Dot Events as one of our last vendors through a recommendation by our Photographer, Haley Richter. At the time, I didn’t realize the amount of value a coordinator could bring to both the planning experience as well as the day-of wedding execution. If you’re on the fence, let me just say booking Allie had immediate value to us; there is no question of the return on investment you get from having a professional on your team! The week after we booked Polka Dot Events many of my other vendors started reaching out to setup timeline calls and finalize details; she was quick to introduce herself, join us for vendor meetings and calls and even take over some on her own when I had conflicts. Also, if you’re still looking for a photographer I recommend booking Haley and Allie together - they are literally the dream team! I didn’t realize until the day of our wedding that the two vendors you spend the most time with will be your photographer and coordinator. Having individuals who are both extremely efficient and have worked together before kept us on schedule and added to our outstanding experience.

    Thank you again Allie for everything! I’ll forever think of you as my fairy godmother on my wedding day - you made the whole experience so magical! We couldn’t have done it without you.

    Wedding angels!

    Polka Dot (hi, Brittany!) were a pleasure to work with. They were responsive and super helpful with all my questions. I was fairly active in planning all the details I wanted but was super thankful to have Brittany's guidance and extra hand when it came to the smaller tasks that I couldn't get around to (ie printing signs and bringing things over to the venue in advance). It was even a bigger relief the week of the wedding when I just wanted to relax and spend time with friends and family. The cherry on top was the day-of though. Knowing that Brittany was in the room, around the corner, or a text away to lend a helping hand made every penny worthwhile. Every bride should do herself a favor and work with Polka Dot!

    Excellent experience, highly recommended

    I had a great experience with polka dot events. I had a month of and a design package. I was in touch with Allie and she helped me with all my vendors. They are very professional and are always on time. It made my planning experience sooo much easier. They worked around my schedule and helped me to stay on track. It especially helped the day of, because I didn’t have to worry about anything at all except having fun.

    Amazing Wedding Coordinators!

    My wedding was at Tribeca Rooftop in June 2019 and Polka Dot Events was the BEST decision we ever made to hire Allie and team as our month of coordinators. They were all extremely responsive, helpful, smart and flexible. They went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and cared for. We couldn't have dreamed up a better team. They are a MUST!!

    The best money we spent on the whole wedding!

    Allie Beik, and her team at Polka Dot, were by far the best money we spent on the whole wedding weekend. Not only did she take phone calls with us before our month-of coordination began, once we were in the final month she was quick to answer questions and swoop in to take over any remaining planning activities.

    Outside of being an organized project manager, she was always calm and fun to work with. The last week, when tension starts to get high, she was there to calm all of our nerves and crack a perfect joke to calm us down.

    Additionally, I'm pretty sure with their expertise, Polka Dot pays for itself. In the last month, Allie steered us to make educated decisions as we were adding final touches to our weekend, and prevented us from spending on suggestions from other vendors that we really didn't need.

    The Whole Package

    We used Allie and Tracey for Month-of and Design Coordination. I couldn't believe we got what we did for what we paid. Even though it was technically partial planning services, it felt like Allie and Tracey fully dedicated themselves to our wedding. They have an uncanny ability to be both creative visionaries but also in the details and always bring helpful suggestions to the table - be it vendors based on preferences or details based on budget. And more than that, they are both extremely professional, but also fun to be around! We honestly couldn't have done it without them.

    Polka Dot Events has been such a dream to work with. Both Tiffany and Allie made our wedding so fantastic, we could not have dreamed of it being better. They were just so amazing in every sense of the way and beyond attentive. Their calm and happy energy really let us have fun in the midst of some of our stress. Without them, we would have never been able to handle the last month of our wedding planning. The entire team is just so professional and on the ball, it gave us such sense of relief. They make everything seem so easy when we know how hard it is to juggle so many vendors/calls/emails/logistics. Proceeding with Polka Dot Events was the best thing we could have ever done and we are beyond grateful! We had our wedding at the 1Hotel in Dumbo Brooklyn and if I could do it all over again I would, because these girls were simply the best.

    If you're wondering whether to hire a month-of coordinator...do it. And if you're considering Polka Dot Events...do it! I did most of my planning myself and I mostly enjoyed it-I didn't want a full planner because I had a lot of ideas I wanted to execute on my own. It became overwhelming in the last month, and that is exactly when Allie took over. She was so helpful with coordinating my vendors, our day-of schedule, final payments, purchasing hotel welcome bags and restroom hospitality items, and last minute things like printing programs (when Staples closed as soon as I got there due to weather!).
    Allie was a complete lifesaver, and I can't recommend her and Polka Dot events enough!

    We used Allie and Tracey for our September 2017 wedding in NYC and we LOVED them! We did a design package with month of coordination, but it really felt like a full planning service (other than negotiating contracts, which my husband did). Such a great value! They were incredibly responsive to every request we made, and the wedding, which was rather complicated with two bands and many requirements and a massive bridal party, went off without a hitch. I (and my mother!) was able to enjoy the best day of my life without having to worry once about a single detail, because I knew I was in such great hands. We also used most of their recommended vendors, who were great. I highly, highly recommend Polka Dot!

    Allie @ Polka Dot Events executed my wedding at the Gramercy Park Hotel seamlessly. Literally, I don't know what I would've done without her. I'm pretty type A and I hired her for month of planning services. This means she takes everything you've booked and worked on and makes it come to life. While it was hard for me to let go of everything, I am SO glad I did because I was able to enjoy my day AND have everything go perfectly. She helped organize my vendors, set up multiple timelines, organize all of my etsy wedding accessories in the venue space and get everything in order leading up to and during the day. Not to mention, when the florist didn't use a family heirloom in my bouquet as requested, she immediately went to them, found it for me, and attached it to my bouquet. Seriously the best - couldn't recommend her more!

    We had such a wonderful experience with Kristi and Allie at Polka Dot. We used them for month-of planning, but they were happy to answer questions beforehand. Once the month of arrived, they started taking over with emails, planning, scheduling, all the things that had been keeping me up at night. On the day of, Kristi and her assistant, Claudia, were super organized, but not in an abrasive way. At one moment, I looked over and Kristi was steaming my dress and my bridesmaids' dresses. She kept an eye on everything, big and small, and the whole day ran smoothly, but I never felt bossed around. We had our ceremony earlier in the day, with pictures in between and reception at sunset. What could have been a really crazed day was well organized and delightful and I couldn't have done it without them. I highly recommend working with the Polka Dot team.

    Allie Beik from Polka Dot Events was incredible. She was so on top of things the day of that I would not be surprised if she had psychic powers. Every time I would think to myself "oh, such and such needs to get done, let me grab Allie and see if she can-" My thought would be interrupted by Allie walking into the room and starting to do the exact thing I was about to ask for.

    We had a HIGHLY DIY wedding with many moving parts, including needing to set up and clean up all tables and seating, a self-serve buffet with outside servers, buying and bringing our own alcohol with outside bartenders, DIY DJ with an iphone, and all homemade crafts and florals. I mention this because we didn't really have other vendors to rely on much (e.g. no florist to put up flowers), and yet Allie guided friends, family, and the staff we did have to make the day run smoothly. The only problem all day was that some unknown person switched out our iphone playing music. When I realized, I told Allie and she IMMEDIATELY fixed things without even disrupting the flow of the music.

    In addition to being a blessing the day of, in the time leading up to the wedding, Allie communicated professionally and efficiently with myself and all important wedding members to make sure everyone knew what was going on. She was also empathetic and understanding- she could tell that my husband and I were pretty stressed the night of the rehearsal dinner, and gave us some time to calm down before rehearsing and offered other options for rehearsal if it was too much for us.

    Allie cued me and others to be in important places at the right times to stay on schedule, such as for cake cutting, toasts, and the first dance. She honestly made it feel like I did not have to worry about a single thing except enjoying our wedding. Prior to the wedding, I did wonder to myself if hiring a coordinator was REALLY necessary. After the fact I can say she was a MILLION times worth it. Trust me, go for it!

    We used Allie and Polka Dot Events for a month of coordinator for our August 2017 wedding at the Bryant Park Grill in Manhattan.

    Allie was much much more than a month of coordinator. She helped with questions all along the way and really was a savior the weeks leading up to the wedding. We felt like we were her only wedding, meanwhile she was managing a few others in the background with as much attention and enthusiasm. Allie's attention to detail and keeping track of all the little tasks was unbelievable. Allie is extremely patient, has the ability to deal with many personalities that weddings can create and finally, she is a true professional at execution. You wont go wrong with Allie or with Polka Dot Events.

    My husband and I used Polka Dot Events for their design and month-of services and we cannot speak highly enough of the experience. The design service helped me narrow down all my ideas and Pinterest posts into a real, tangible vision for what our wedding would eventually come to look like. Polka Dot’s design plan basically became a reference sheet that I must have shown every single vendor we worked with!

    Along with having such a thorough blueprint for our wedding, Polka Dot’s day-of services were probably one of our most valuable investments. Our coordinator Caitlin took care of all of the logistical details, such as transporting items to the ceremony and reception, communicating with all the vendors, and corralling all of our family and friends to the right places. She appeared as a comforting reference when we needed her - such as gently reminding us that cake cutting would be in five minutes - but otherwise worked so seamlessly and reliably behind the scenes. I know that our wedding day would not have run so smoothly without Caitlin, and that my husband and I would have been significantly more stressed and overwhelmed without Polka Dot guiding us.     You want Allie from Polka Dot Events on your team. My husband and I reached out to Polka Dot for month-of planning services. From initial correspondence, to our hand-off meeting, to our big day, she was an absolute super star. So organized, so attentive, always one step ahead. When my husband and I originally started planning, we were skeptical about hiring a planner or coordinator. Weddings are expensive! Did we really need to spend thousands extra? We did. We really did. Now, a few weeks after our wedding, I can confidently say that Allie was 100% worth every penny. She handled essential communication, wrangled relatives for photos, set up our decorations, made sure the ceremony and reception were timed correctly, fed the bridal party, made sure our vendors were paid and tipped, researched after party venues and made us a reservation, and even grabbed us a little plate of hors d’oeuvres when we were hungry during cocktail hour…. plus a million other little tasks. The day was amazing because it was virtually stress-free. Allie played a huge part in that. We knew she had everything covered. As a result, we have nothing but happy memories from our wedding, and that is priceless.

    We just used Polka Dot Events for our wedding and couldn't be happier ! From the moment we meant Tracey and Allie we knew they were going to be great .! Such kind and smart people , they made our experience so much easier and fun. Tracey's ideas how to decorate our room were spot on , we had SO many complements on the decor. She is honest and straight forward in her opinions which really helped in this process . Allie was AMAZING the month before and day of and was really such a life saver . The month of was really overwhelming and she really helped especially the weeks before the wedding . The day of she was incredible and was always making sure things ran smoothly . If I or anyone from my bridal party or family needed something she was right there .     We loved working with Tracey and Polka Dot Events. We got married at 501 Union in Brooklyn in November of last year. 501 Union is a space that requires a lot of things being brought in (catering, rentals, music, etc.) and so we went with the month of coordination and it was worth every penny. Tracey knows weddings and is very flexible and makes you feel like yours is her top priority! She has great vendors that she recommends working with and is good at matching you with people based on what kind of wedding your throwing. She is also responsive, thoughtful, quietly confident and savvy at navigating different problems. We loved that she would speak up with her opinion if we were asking something that she really didn't agree with (it happened once and she was 100% right on with her recommendation). Tracey is someone you can absolutely trust - we won't throw another event without her help!

    I am so pleased that we decided to book Polka Dot for the "month of" planning service. We worked with Allie and Kristi who are both very professional and easy to work with. Unless you yourself are already a professional event planner, I highly recommend hiring professionals to make sure your wedding goes off without a hitch! There is a reason event planning is a profession and Polka Dot is the best of the best! For the "month of" they take over the coordination of all your vendors, help plan your timeline for bill payments and any tasks you have left to do, they help make reception extras like signs, gift bags...basically anything you can think of they will help with.
    Kristi was truly a god send on our wedding day, she made sure that the small hiccups we encountered were corrected easily (I didn't even know there had been any minor issues - like the shuttle not knowing where to drop our guests off - until after the fact). Kristi was so organized, made sure myself and my bridal party knew where to be and what to do at all times, she made sure all our vendors knew their roll and the plan and she worked very well with our venue coordinator. I love polka dot, we couldn't have had the wedding of our dreams without them!

    Allie from Polka Dot was a huge asset in planning our wedding! She took care of so many details leading up to the big weekend, and her presence at the wedding allowed us to really just enjoy our celebration (and not worry about the every-changing weather forecast and guest list). Knowing she was on board lowered my stress level about 300%.
    One of our vendors commented that Allie was exceptionally on top of things, and my bridesmaids told me that they wished they had an Allie to help them organize their lives all the time! To boot, she is a sweet, fun person who is a pleasure to work with. I would recommend Allie and Polka Dot in a heartbeat!

    Tracey Goldstein is a dream. Weddings get expensive and I was very cost-conscious, but trust me when I say that this is money well spent. I met Tracey two years ago right after I got engaged and I hired her immediately. From our very first meeting, I felt heard and understood by her: she listened closely, remembered little details I mentioned off-hand, and asked lots of follow up questions to help me elaborate on my ideas and ensure that she had an accurate grasp of what I was trying to convey. Over the course of my two year engagement, Tracey consistently displayed the same level of thoughtfulness and attention to detail.

    First and most important to me: Tracey is so supportive and really focused on making her clients feel comfortable at all stages of the planning process. I made some unconventional choices for my wedding (no bridal party, no bouquet, no cake, no color scheme) and while some vendors I met with tried to push me in different directions, Tracey was always in my corner. She definitely shared her expertise to suggest when certain ideas might not be feasible, but even then she never tried to dissuade me. Rather, she would explain "that idea is difficult because of X and Y, but we could do Z to make it happen, or perhaps you might consider doing this other thing instead which wouldn't be the same but might have the effect you are going for."

    Moreover, Tracey is highly organized. She is very responsive over email and was generous with her ideas and suggestions. Plenty of times when I was feeling lost and didn't know who to ask about something, I would shoot Tracey an email and she would get back to me immediately, pointing me in the right direction.

    Finally, Tracey is such a great person. She is sweet, kind, and cool as a cucumber-- which is very important throughout the wedding planning process but especially on the day of the event!

    In sum: I recommend Tracey and her team without reservation and am very grateful to have worked with them!

    I'm so glad that we met Tracey Goldstein of Polka Dot Events at the Toasted Brooklyn bridal expo. She certainly was one of the most invaluable vendors we booked for our wedding. Most vendors we met that day sent out a standard, automated e-mail to everyone who left their address on their clipboard. Tracey, however, took the time out to send a personalized e-mail. She remembered that we were hoping to have our reception at 501 Union, but knew that we were having difficulty securing a date at our church. She wished us luck in meeting with the church and told us to feel free to contact her once we had a date and venue settled. That attention to detail was what I wanted in a wedding planner. I made sure once we had the church and venue squared away that we book Tracey.

    She was very cool and low pressure in our initial meeting, which I appreciated. A wedding is stressful enough that you don't want to have someone aggressively pushing their services, adding additional pressure and stress on you. Without any hesitation we booked her for month of coordination. Her cool demeanor was maintained throughout the whole process which was such a relief.

    From the first meeting she was great with recommending vendors. I was stumped when it came to transportation and makeup. We ended up booking her recommended vendors and they were amazing!

    I had so many ideas for the wedding that I was in love with, but did not have the slightest clue how to execute them. Tracey and Allie were key players in this aspect. I would share an idea with Tracey and she came up with a plan on how to execute it. Everything exceeded my expectations. From our guest book to favors, to lists of activities to occupy our guests in between the ceremony and reception, she had a solution for all of it! I NEVER would have been able to pull off all the little details without Tracey and her assistant

    My (now) wife and I feel exceptionally fortunate to have been able to work with Tracey.

    A bit of backstory: We are very type A people – we need to be in control and know what is going to happen and when; I produce events for a living; we had picked the type of venue that requires you to bring everything in – down to the drinking water. It was going to be a staggering challenge for anyone we hired.

    After firing our planner/designer because she wasn’t giving us what we needed, we interviewed a bunch of new candidates. It became clear very quickly that Tracey was absolutely the best choice. From the moment our partnership with Tracey began (I refer to her as our partner because it never felt like a client-vendor relationship) we were a team with a common goal and common vision. Tracey was considerate of our opinions, letting us do whatever we wanted, but she also had no issues stepping in when she thought our ideas were off or if she knew of a way to make them better. She was always pleasant (even when we were overbearing) and it never seemed as though we were bothering her no matter how simple/complex our questions or concerns were, or what time of day/night it was.

    When you read about Tracey, you read about her impeccable planning/executing skills. There isn't much about her incredible creative design. But there should be. Through many discussions we were able to convey our overall concept to her and from those discussions she created an unreal day/weekend. What we saw the day of our wedding is exactly what we saw when we would dream about it. Down to the welcome signage.

    My wife and I feel very lucky to have found Tracey and we can’t imagine our day with anyone else. Almost everyone who attended has since told us that it is the best wedding they have ever been to (completely unprompted). So look no further. It will be the best decision you make – other than marrying the love of your life, of course.

    Polka Dot Events was the best choice we made throughout our wedding planning! Tracey and Allie were so responsive in the month(s-they didn't stick to just month-of) leading up to our wedding, and I felt they were ready and willing to answer even my most ridiculous questions. Allie's day-of work was AMAZING-she really went above and beyond to help us and our guests have an amazing time, and allowed me to be completely carefree and enjoy the party. Everyone involved felt that Allie became one of the gang that day, which was great--I never felt as if I were being micromanaged or pushed in anyway, but felt that I was in the very capable hands of a friend.

    I would hire Polka Dot again in an instant, and am trying to think of an event that I can plan so I have a reason to do so! You won't regret working with this professional, efficient, and fun group!

    Tracey was amazing! We cannot thank her enough. She helped make the day run perfectly. I never gave a second thought to any of the organization or planning or schedule that day, and I'm a very type A personality - so that speaks volumes to how great she was at her job. We were in a raw space, so everything needed to be hired and brought in. Tracey coordinated with every vendor perfectly and kept us from having to worry about the late and incorrect alcohol arrivals (which I only heard about after the fact), set up the escort cards in a decorative way that was far better than I could have imagined, and kept the night moving forward smoothly. She also has a very down-to-earth and easy personality, which was important to me when I was looking for a wedding coordinator. Highly recommended.     Seriously, look no farther. Tracey was our month-of wedding coordinator and we cannot recommend her enough!

    My sister and I met Tracey at a wedding event at the Wythe Hotel last year. We were immediately drawn to her spunky personality and friendly demeanor and my sister hired her shortly thereafter for her April wedding. I’m generally pretty OCD / organized and never thought that I would need a month-of, but after living through my sister’s wedding and understanding how key Tracey was to the entire process, I did not think twice about hiring her for our wedding six months later.

    Tracey goes above and beyond to ensure that everything goes smoothly on your wedding day. She never said no – on several occasions, she agreed to last minute meetings with my husband and I or our vendors and she went out of her way to tour the space with us since it was a bit unique. She was also balanced – she knew when to make decisions on her own (and we 100% trusted her to do so), but she also knew when to ask for input. She was super organized and the program that she used kept everyone in line. She was an absolute pleasure to work with.

    I cannot stress the importance of having someone take care of logistics the month of your wedding. You will inevitably be stressed with last minute details and having Tracey to lean on was a dream.

    Tracey was such a gem! I met her at a Wedding Crashers event and loved her vibe right away. I had already done most of the planning for our day but knew I would need someone as we approached the actual date & especially the day of. If there's anything I can recommend to anyone it is to definitely have someone keeping things running smoothly that day! Tracey did an amazing job getting in touch with all our vendors and keeping them on schedule (most without me even knowing which is really the biggest treat as you approach the crazies week of your life!). She handled everything so well the day of I really was beyond calm because I knew everything was being handled. Perhaps most importantly she managed our sometimes challenging families like a complete pro. I'd expect most people to run after dealing with a stressed out version of my mother but she'll be helping us with my sister's wedding this fall!     Tracey is an exceptional wedding planner. She was able to manage fully planning 2 events for our Pakistani-English wedding weekend, balancing our budget and various cultural elements that she was not familiar with previously. As working professionals with limited time on our hands, we really appreciated her straightfwd, organized, and timely approach to everything. When I requested changes it was never a problem for her, and she would often creatively make things happen when we'd hit any bumps in the road. Planning 2 intercultural events over a weekend in NYC with 120 international guests is no small feat, but Tracey pulled it all off seamlessly and in fact was a pleasure to work with.     We never thought we were the type to hire a wedding planner, but the venue we chose came with nothing and we found out we bit off more than we could chew. Polka Dot Events saved the day! Tracey did an amazing job planning and coordinating our wedding and she was a complete pleasure to work with as well. She was always extremely responsive and helpful. The vendors she recommended were wonderful and she worked easily with the ones we found. She was conscious of our budget the whole time and never made us feel pressured to do anything a certain way. Her input and recommendations were great but she also was also flexible enough to allow our vision of the day to come to fruition. Our wedding day really was the best day ever, everything happened seamlessly without us having to pay any attention to the little details the day of and it is all thanks to Tracey. Many of our guests told us they saw her working her tail off! We can't recommend her more highly, especially if you are wary of the "Wedding Industrial Complex." We didn't do things too traditionally and Tracey really helped give us the wedding we wanted!

    Tracey Goldstein of Polka Dot Events did an incredible job helping me plan my wedding and most of all for day-of-coordination. I initially saw a Groupon for her services and decided to purchase it after doing some research and contacting her directly to check her availability for my wedding date.

    The month before the event, we collaborated on a timeline for the wedding day along with a list of the vendors and bridal party contact info. We clearly delineated her role and those of others involved in the wedding in the schedule/timeline.

    The week before the event, she confirmed arrival times and reviewed the schedule with each of the vendors. She called everyone from the restaurant for the rehearsal dinner to the makeup artist, DJ/MC and priest. She was great with following up on various tasks and loose ends that probably would've stressed me out the week of the wedding.

    Thanks to Tracey's help, the wedding weekend was absolutely flawless. I did not have to worry about anything because Tracey was able to handle any issues that came up. I had a sigh of relief when she took charge of the ceremony rehearsal and had us all out of the church in an hour, something unheard of in most Indian Christian weddings. When certain people, like the organist, did not attend the rehearsal she made sure that they were aware of their role and would be present the next morning. The next morning at 7 am, as promised, she came to the suite where the bridesmaids and I were getting ready. I simply handed her my reception outfit, some odds and ends to be given to other vendors, and the tip for the bridal attendant. I was stress-free for the whole day. She made sure everything was set up for the ceremony and reception. She even held onto a gold bracelet that had broken as well as my husband's wallet and phone!

    Based on what I saw and what I heard from friends/family, the big fat indian NJ wedding with over 300 people was a huge success! Book PDE!

    I would like to start my review by saying I cannot recommend Tracey highly enough. If you are looking to hire an extremely friendly, personable and professional wedding planner and have come across Polka Dot Events just stop looking and hire Tracey.
    We travelled from Ireland along with 88 guests to tie the knot. Tracey was amazing every step of the way, she even very graciously humoured my own research (even the super crazy florist!) please learn from my mistakes and go with Tracey's suggestions. She essentially 100% sourced/chose our church, baker, florist, hair stylist and photographer and they were all brilliant and exactly what I wanted.
    Tracey's organisation, friendliness and professionalism contributed to our big day being the success it was, nothing at all seemed to phase her. We are so grateful to her for that. Even our guests commented to us how amazing and valuable she was. She was worth every penny (and more) for the outstanding service she provided to us on such an important day.

    When planning my wedding in 2009 I was starting to get super stressed as our date was nearing. Although everything was in order, I felt like there was too much to handle the day of the wedding. After talking to my friend and explaining my fears of not enjoying our big day, she recommended I hire a day-of coordinator and soon after hiring Polka Dot Events I'm so glad I did! From the moment we hired her, Tracey proved to be worth much more than the investment as she took over all the details we were stressing over and was always there for questions and solutions. Looking back, the day of the wedding I only remember the wedding itself, the ceremony, the party, the food and having loads of fun - everything went perfectly and Tracey seemed to manage the whole thing with her ease and made sure that neither myself nor my husband had a care in the world. .

    Kristi and Tracey were exactly who we needed to execute our wedding and we could not have asked for a better team.

    Initially, we struggled to find a planner who fit our brief: we wanted to do most of the planning ourselves, but needed someone who would come on board the month of our wedding to tie up loose ends, think of things we had forgotten about and coordinate everything on the day. The "month of" coordination offered by Polka Dot Events could not have been more perfect. We had an initial meeting with Kristi and Tracey, and from that point on, they picked up everything we had planned so far and ran with it. They were responsive, accommodating, and super professional. From the day they started working for us, I knew I didn't have to worry about a thing, and could trust they were working away in the background to get everything organized and would involve us when needed. They were also a great source of advice. Their vast experience and market knowledge allowed them to set out all the options for any given component of the wedding day, giving us the pros and cons and allowing us to make the decision that was right for our wedding.

    The day of our wedding could not have gone as smoothly as it did without them. Us, our families and our bridal party were able to simply turn up and enjoy the day without having to worry about anything.

    Our wedding day would not have been the amazing day that it was without Kristi and Tracey - I recommend them wholeheartedly and without hesitation.

    I actually have recommended Polka Dot events to friends.

    Going into the wedding planning process, I didn't fully grasp how critical having wedding planning services was. Not only does Polka Dot pay for itself with the savings they find, they created a wedding for us that we would have never been able to envision, or practically bring to life.

    We hired them for both month-of and design. They helped us at every stage, first helping us find a venue we didn't see on any other services or through rigorous google searching. Allie accompanied us on venue tours - talking out details we would have overlooked. They respond quickly and efficiently to all emails.

    Beyond coordination, the design of our wedding was absolutely beautiful -- but felt like us. I know I'm biased, but we heard this echoed through friends and family as well. We had a raw space and Tracey didn't overlook one detail. The custom-designed bar menus had their own special holders.

    We'd highly recommend hiring them for both design and month-of services.

    We hired Polka Dot to help us plan our wedding and be our month-of coordinators which gave me space to finish a big work project leading up to the wedding. Allie and Tiffany helped us find amazing vendors, advise me on how to bring costs down, and be overall buddies throughout the entire process when I didn’t want to annoy my friends with a million wedding planning updates. They were on top of things when I was frazzled and made us feel so comfortable. Tiffany was our day-of coordinator for our Queens, NY wedding and she was amazing! It was the best money we spent. I’m so grateful to these talented ladies. If you want to just enjoy your wedding and not worry about any of those dozen last minute details, hire them ASAP! XO

    Professional and calm, responsive and knowledgeable, Allie Beik assisted in the last month of planning for our Gramercy Park Hotel wedding. Even with the services of a planner, this is a hectic month for the bride and family, and Allie did a great job, keeping her cool in the middle of hectic last minute coordination. She is also a great person. We recommend her highly!

    I was looking for a low-key but super organized day-of-coordinator for my wedding so that I could enjoy the day and not worry about any of the little things. Tracey was utterly indispensable and was there for us throughout the entire planning process, even though she was "only" our day-of-coordinator. She was always there for questions and worries and her involvement helped make our day as perfect as it was.

    I travelled from Ireland in Europe to New York for my wedding. As we were not going to be in NY until the week before our wedding, Tracey's services were invaluable! She sourced vendors for us and ensured everything was booked. It was wonderful to meet with her when we eventually arrived. There were a few things I would have liked to be different, but there were certainly no major issues on the day. I would suggest that she create a 'wedding day bag' containing pins, tissues, umbrella, wipes, needle and thread, emery boards etc. for any minor mishaps on the day. Other than that I would highly recommend her services. And she is so nice too :-)

    Not worth it

    It was nice to have someone in the months leading up to the wedding that I could email for advice and Allie was always very responsive. But honestly there are a lot of things that I thought she would do and didn’t, we had a backyard wedding with food trucks and tent and I think she just wasn’t used to the less traditional wedding. Would probably be great if you had a smaller wedding at a traditional wedding venue.
