We are so glad that we chose the Bar Harbor Inn for our wedding day. We are from out of town, and so we also chose to have our Rehearsal Dinner and after morning brunch at the venue. We had close to 80 guests from out of town attend our wedding, and the Bar Harbor Inn staff made us feel so special as they took care of us and hosted our guests for the entire weekend. It was really nice to be the only wedding happening that weekend as well!

The wedding staff was kind, informative, and pleasant to work with throughout the whole wedding planning process. On our wedding day, we were blown away by how seamless everything seemed to run, and we didn't have to worry about anything! The staff was flexible and communicative, and we were so glad to have them as partners. Shout out to the Spa for doing my bridal hair, which came out beautifully!

Our wedding ceremony took place on the lawn and was absolutely breathtaking. We had our reception indoors in the Reading Room and it was the perfect size to host our wedding guests for the meal and dancing.

We're no strangers to the Bar Harbor Inn, as we've visited several times before, but now it has a very special place in our hearts, and we will continue to return for the rest of our lives.

To say that we are obsessed with this venue would be an absolute understatement. From the moment we set foot in BHI for our venue tour, my husband and I knew that this place would be very tough to beat. It had everything we were looking for in our venue. Lots of natural beauty with a classic/vintage nautical Maine vibe and the bonus part was their rich history as a member of the Bar Harbor/MDI area. We absolutely loved all the vintage newspapers, photos and maps that were displayed everywhere.
Every single member of the staff, from the event coordinator to the valets and bellhops were not only complete professionals, but also incredibly friendly and warm. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Briana, who was there for us on every step of the planning process, happy to answer any questions and help provide us with options and Jared, who supported us during the rare times that Briana was unavailable. During our wedding rehearsal, Briana even identified a small muddy area on the ceremony lawn and opted to cover the space with wood planks, green cloth and some of our floral decor to ensure nobody got their heels caught or muddied their dress on the wedding day.
Arguably, the most important thing about the BHI is how much our guests enjoyed their time there as well. Every single person I spoke to during or after our wedding, has had nothing but wonderful things to say about the venue we chose. After months of gushing about this place, I’m so happy they all felt the same way that we did. This was also especially important to me because our guest count was large enough to only fit in the Reading Room which is only available between 11:30am-4pm. I was initially apprehensive about a daytime wedding, but I’m so happy I didn’t let that deter us from choosing this place.
All this to say, I cannot recommend this venue enough and my husband and I are already planning a trip back to relive all our wedding memories.

We chose bar harbor inn for our venue and it was one of the best decisions we made. Everyone went above and beyond to make, not only our day, but our whole stay so special. From the doormen to front desk staff and wedding coordinators, this team was such a pleasure to work with. The views are breathtaking and just what we were looking for when searching for a venue.

I cannot say enough good things about both the Bar Harbor Inn and its two incredible wedding coordinators, Sue Kropff and Briana Clark! My husband and I recently got married and hosted our reception at the Bar Harbor Inn, though we are from New Jersey. It was somewhat nerve-racking planning a wedding from afar (especially because you can't vet your vendor's work in person) but working with both Sue and Briana was truly a dream come true!

Sue and Briana were absolutely invaluable to the planning process, helping us figure out so many aspects of what we were hoping for when it came to our reception. They were knowlegeble, kind, flexible, and incredibly enthusiastic and helpful throughout the whole (almost year-long planning process)-- they truly made it so our reception could go off without a hitch.

Our reception was held in the Porcupine Room, which is the smaller of their two reception venues, and it was absolutely beautiful. The view from the balcony is breathtaking and the decor is elegant, understated, and was a perfect complement to our chosen wedding colors and florals. I also cannot say enough about the food. Seriously, our wedding food was some of the best I've had (FULL STOP), and I will be dreaming about that lobster bisque for many years to come. Our cake, which was made by their baker Janine, was also incredibly delicious and was decorated exactly as I had imagined (a naked cake with flowers)--it truly could not have been better.

I could go on and on about the Bar Harbor Inn and the absolutely wonderful wedding day we had there but I suppose I will leave it at this, if you are looking to book a wedding venue in Bar Harbor, look no further. The Bar Harbor Inn is the perfect choice!

Due to COVID-19, husband and I opted to do a small elopement at the Bar Harbor Inn. Even though it was only the two of us, the wedding coordinators Sue and Briana made everything special. They were wonderful to work with and very helpful. We live in Texas so planned everything over the phone/ through email. We loved the location, property was beautiful. All in all it was a great experience, and we plan to go back for our anniversary .

I couldn't possibly have better things to say about our experience getting married at the Bar Harbor Inn. Sue and Denise are wonderful people, and total professionals. They are flexible, organized, creative, and really care about making your wedding experience perfect and low-stress! When things come up unexpectedly, they are flexible and positive. Our ceremony of about 70 people went off without a hitch. The setting is immaculate, right on the ocean with the Porcupine Islands in the background (very cool when the Margaret Todd, a 4-masted schooner, sailed behind us mid-ceremony too). Photo ops galore! Sue made the perfect recommendation for the rehearsal dinner - Bar Harbor Lobster Bakes, right down the road, fabulous! - as well as photographer, musicians, and other vendors. She gave honest food recommendations, including when things were not necessary (which really gained my trust). Essentially everything about the experience was the way we wanted it to be. We should give a special shout-out to the food, incidentally... we selected the surf-n-turf with garlic mashed potatoes, maple butter salmon with red potatoes, and a chickpea cake vegetarian dish. For cake - and to be clear, Janice Strout is the best on the island - we went vanilla buttercream with blueberry puree. A large number of guests told us it was the best food and the best cake they have ever had. For appetizers, while the fruit cones and latkes fell a little flat, guests absolutely raved about the lobster grilled cheese, mini beef wellingtons, and assorted puff pastries. For music, we actually had Bob, who plays piano for normal happy hour and brunches at the hotel, play his wonderful assortment on the piano (he's incredibly talented and reads the room perfectly). When we didn't have some items that the hotel had for normal use, Sue and Denise let us use them for free. Bottom line, if you're looking for an amazing backdrop, amazing food, and amazing people who will keep your stress levels low and go the extra mile for you... well, you won't find anything better. :)

The staff at the Bar Harbor Inn were amazing. Sue and Nicole were AMAZING. They knew exactly what to do. They coordinated with our other vendors to make sure the date went off with out any issues. The views were fantastic and the landscaping is perfect for pictures.

This is the place to marry! The staff were amazing, so accommodating, professional and took time to listen. Our wedding weekend went smoothly, it really was perfect in every way. Thank you Bar Harbor Inn staff for making this a most memorable occasion we will always remember!

Outstanding wedding! I could not have asked for more. BHI provides a highly trained staff to put you at ease from the moment you choose the venue until you say "I do." They met every need - from making sure we stayed on schedule to helping grandma find the restroom. They are all about the details. A+

We would absolutely recommend holding your wedding and reception at the Bar Harbor Inn! The staff at the Bar Harbor Inn were incredible in their responsiveness and professionalism, and made us feel entirely comfortable with our big day plans. They walked us through every detail for planning the ceremony and reception, and handled the day-of with aplomb. The service during the reception was spot-on. Many guests commented that the food was as delicious as the waiters were friendly! You can't get more beautiful than the sea view from the Inn, and the free hot cocoa by the woodstove doesn't hurt!

I chose the Bar Harbor Inn as the place to host my wedding ceremony and reception - and I couldn't be more happy about the decision! The location and staff made the whole experience magical for not only me and my now husband but for all the guests who attended. The wedding coordinators Jasmine and Nicole are outstanding. They were professional, detailed, and helped the entire weddIng go without a hitch! They were calm and helped me be calm - I didn't worry about a thing - I got to focus on getting married while they focused on all the coordination and vendors. The hotel staff were kind and courteous. The rooms were beautiful and have spetaculare views. The food at the reception was really good - not your typical tasteless mass produced food - each dish was great - and even our Vegan guests had a great meal! Thank you Bar Harbor Inn for creating these memories!

A year ago we visited the Bar Harbor Inn and Spa based on its beauty and reviews to see if it was the location for our daughter's wedding. After meeting with Nicole and having a wonderful tasting, we decided this was the place for us. From that moment we placed our hope in the Inn and Spa's capable hands.

As the year wore on and questions arose, Nicole was constantly available and quick to respond in kind, reassuring tones. When my daughter voiced a concern about a vendor, Nicole contacted the vendor and called back within minutes.

The day came, a brilliant September sunny and 74 degrees in this glorious setting. Leanne guided the day's proceedings effortlessly, appearing quietly at all the right moments to add her touches to the reception. Our party was merely 24 people, so the reception was held in the Porcupine Room with its private balcony and scenic views. The lobster, steak, and lamb chops were excellent, and the soup bar (lobster bisque and clam chowder) was an enormous hit. From the vows to the sunset to the cutting of the cake, we could not have imagined anything better.

Thank you to Nicole and Leanne for making an emotional day a day without worry. Also, thank you to Augie and Jobert for taking care of all our needs in the Porcupine Room.

The Bar Harbor Inn is the perfect location for a wedding. We had the most amazing time, as did our guests who also stayed at the Inn. The staff is amazing, Nicole and Leanne were super helpful and accommodating. The staff at the spa was wonderful as well. The food was better than we could have imagined, and the wait staff was wonderful, we truly felt special.

Amazing! That is the best word to describe their contribution to our big day. I was married here last week, and Nicole and Liane were truly amazing. Without them, I don't know what I would do. I had a small wedding with about 23 people total. We booked the Porcupine Room and had our ceremony on the lawn. It was so affordable (for a wedding) to book this room. The service was fantastic, the hotel and its grounds are beautiful, and my wedding day was truly hassle-free thanks to Nicole and Liane. I seriously can't give them enough credit. I can't wait to come back and visit. We're already planning a 2-year anniversary here!

Everyone at the Inn was a pleasure to work with and very accommodating. All of the guests commented on what a wonderful location the Inn had and great food the Inn provided. The wedding coordinators were easy to work with responsive to our requests. The Bar Harbor Inn is a wonderful spot for a perfect wedding.

The Bar Harbor Inn provided us with a fairy tale wedding! Wedding coordinator, Nicole Wallace, assisted us with the plans for a perfect wedding during the year leading up to the date. She is a gem! She was by our side during the year prior to the wedding and the day of. She is reliable, professional and took pride in making sure our day was perfect. We were married outside the inn overlooking the harbor on the most beautiful summer day. Our reception was held in the Porcupine Room which had the most beautiful balcony overlooking the harbor and islands. The food appetizers, food and drinks were outstanding. Our guests commented it was the most beautiful, special wedding they ever attended. I highly recommend this location to anyone planning their wedding. You are guaranteed a beautiful event. Our wedding at Bar Harbor Inn was even more beautiful than I could have imagined. Nicole and Kelley were incredibly organized, detailed-oriented, and unbelievably amazing. The venue was gorgeous both for the ceremony and the reception. Our guests loved the food--we did the hor d’oeuvres reception. We asked for special details on the cake (flowers/cake pull charms) and it turned out EXACTLY how we requested. Overall, our guests had an amazing time and we could not have been happier with the entire event. We highly recommend the Bar Harbor Inn for a wedding venue. We can't wait to return for our anniversary next year!

We celebrated our wedding at the BHI this May. We had really great time there. Nicole, Melissa and Kelley, the Bar Harbor Inn wedding planners, know their job well and helped us to plan and facilitate the wedding. It got a little confusing as Melissa got promoted out of the planning services while we were planning, and Kelley came on near the wedding date, but they were very organized and professional, so we hardly noticed the staff change. Their advice on vendors and timelines were invaluable! We were planning our wedding for about a year and they helped us set up a food and cake tasting at the reading room restaurant and recommended local vendors who were already familiar with the venue. We were going to do an outdoor ceremony until the rain ruined that plan, but they had the Porcupine room available, which they were able to get set up quite quickly and was really quite beautiful for our ceremony. Nicole and Kelley were there for pretty much the whole time making sure that everything that needed to happen happened. It went so smooth; we were relaxed and happy the whole wedding day and really got to enjoy ourselves without the stress! The food was great, the venue is beautiful, and the staff were very friendly and professional. Highly recommend Bar Harbor Inn for any wedding!

Everyone at the Bar Harbor Inn did an outstanding job in the planning and production of our wedding. From initial contact right through brunch the morning after our event everything was perfect! They also were more than helpful in recommending local vendors including florists, musicians and photographers. All in all a great time and we are thankful to have had such a great group of people to work with. And of course, the location is stunning!

I WOULD RECOMMEND THE BAR INN FOR A WEDDING, MY DAUGHTERS WEDDING WAS EVERYTHING WE COULD HAVE HOPED FOR. ATHOUGH WE HAD HOPED TO BE OUTSIDE FOR THE SERVICE RAIN CHANGED OUR PLANS AND THE STAFF AT THE INN TRANSFORMED THE READING ROOM INTO A WARM BEAUTIFUL SITE FOR OUR SERVICE. OUR GUESTS LOVED THEIR ROOMS AND HAD FUN WALKING INTO TOWN TO SEE THE SIGHTS. I LOOKED AT AND MET WITH A NUMBER OF RESORTS ON THE COAST OF MAINE BEFORE DECIDING ON THE BAR HARBOR INN. I CAN HONESTLY SAY IN I MADE THE RIGHT CHOICE. THE BAR HARBOR INN PROVIDED MY DAUGHTER THE WEDDING OF HER DREAMS. THE FOOD, THE STAFF, THE VENUE AND MOST IMPORTANTLY NICOLE WALLACE AND HER STAFF WERE EXCEPTIONAL.

Nicole and Melissa were incredible. Planning my daughter's wedding from a distance with busy schedules (both daughter and son-in-law are teachers) had some challenges, but Nicole and Melissa were always responsive to emails and phone calls working out all the details with flexibility and efficiency. Though it rained the day of the wedding, they moved the wedding into an alternative setting with ease, and in the end was perfect.... intimate and sacred. I would highly recommend Bar Harbor Inn and Nicole and Melissa for your wedding venue.

We loved getting married in one of the most beautiful locations in Maine (most beautiful we would say). All of our guests enjoyed the food, and the wedding planners and the servers were professional and fun.

If ever a place was able to make the whole day better; it is the Bar Harbor Inn. The food and drinks, the amazing service, and the breathtaking views; the Bar Harbor Inn has it all.
The selections available for the menu are delicious, from the cheese table to the filet and Maine lobster tail. Everything is presented beautifully at a reasonable price.The Inn also has the cake included. Ours had the lace patterns from my brides dress. Nicole helped us design a signature drink also.
Nicole was there for us throughout the year answering all questions. Then Melissa took over and assisted in the day running smoothly. The wait staff was courteous and attentive. The wedding party had their hair and make-up at the spa. Each lady looked amazing!
We had our rehearsal dinner in the Porcupine Room. A beautiful location for such an event. Sunset is stunning from the deck. The high point (at least for me) was the cake. My wife a Redskin cake (my favorite team.)
Finally, the feeling you get having your day at the Bar Harbor Inn makes everything relaxed, happy, calm and beautiful. We decided to have our reception at the Inn, while on vacation. We were having breakfast in the Reading Room and saw them setting up for a ceremony. We then decided to speak to Nicole. We are from Long Island, a wedding in Bar Harbor would force a destination wedding. We met before our 9 hour drive home. Nicole explained everything offered and answered all questions. Afterwards. we were excited to have the reception at the Inn. We left the calm, excited and happy to have it in Bar Harbor.
I would recommend the Inn to everyone. I would write a book here if I could. We love the Inn and are so very thankful. They made our day the most beautiful, joyous event in our lives. Thank you!!!!

The Bar Harbor Inn Event Coordinator and Group Sales Manager made our wedding a perfect day and evening for us all. Both were responsive to questions and inspired confidence. They helped with our wedding rehearsal, ceremony, and dinner reception. They provided help for a handicapped guest all weekend, led us to lists of area hotels for our guests, to our excellent photographer, Joanna Thyer, and our excellent florist, Cottage Flowers. So far, we haven't received all the pictures from our photographer, but the link she already shared as a special favor on short notice displays photos beyond excellent. Our florist contacted me all year to make sure she was preparing what I wanted. The flowers, including the decoration of the arch, the vases on the tables, the flower girl's basket, the bouquet, and the boutonnière were all perfect! The cake was exactly as we'd expected, based on a picture of the Inn's website, and the food was presented beautifully. Guests were very impressed with the food. The wedding gown was steam-pressed, then presented in my hotel room in such an expertly artistic way that our photographer took more pictures of it than I could count that morning. I took many myself. Seeing that dress spread out and perfectly pressed truly got me into the mood for the magical feeling of the entire weekend. A special thank you goes to this woman! The Spa at the Bar Harbor Inn was a mix of fun and beautiful work for us. I loved the hot stone massage! Unfortunately, a difficult relative was involved, but the professionalism shown by the staff during an unfortunate temper tantrum was very impressive. It was convenient to have the hair and make-up person come to my room right before the ceremony. The only discomfort was that the reception room "air conditioning" really did not make the room cool, but going out onto the deck was a wonderful option once the sun went down. We have already highly recommend the Bar Harbor Inn to others!

We had a wonderful experience with the Bar Harbor Inn for our wedding! Melissa and Nichole were attentive to each and every detail and made the wedding planning process a breeze! Both Melissa and Nichole were always accessible via phone or email. They provided a wonderful list of local services for us to utilize and we found a wonderful ceremony musician, officiant and florist based on their recommendations. I also came with a very specific plan and a fair amount of decorations for our reception and our room was set up even better than we imagined! Nicole and the staff at the Bar Harbor Inn made our day everything we ever dreamed of. The staff did not miss a detail. I planned my wedding from 700 miles away and it was exactly what we wanted. Nicole Wallace and Melissa Wheat were wonderful to work with when planning our daughter's wedding. The Bar Harbor Inn is beautiful and the setting is breathtaking. The food was delicious. They even prepared my daughter's favorite, Thanksgiving turkey as a meal choice. Nicole and Melissa had great advice and made sure we were enjoying the wedding day. I would highly recommend having a wedding reception at the Bar Harbor Inn.

My husband I knew we wanted to get married in Bar Harbor and have a beautiful waterfront ceremony. After looking at other venues in the area, and not getting that “warm” feeling, we had high hopes for Bar Harbor Inn as it was our last appointment. From the very beginning, we were blown away. The venue is gorgeous. The lawn where the ceremony takes place offers the best view of ANY of the Bar Harbor wedding venues. The reception room (Reading Room) is already so beautiful; adding your special touches only makes it more so. The Reading Room has panoramic views of the water for wedding guests to enjoy throughout the reception. The venue itself seemed to be a perfect fit for us. What sealed the deal was the warm feeling we got from Melissa (one of the wedding coordinators). She explained everything we needed to know and informed us of the role she and Nicole (the other coordinator) would play in the wedding. All of this, along with very reasonable prices sold us. Moving forward with the process was a breeze. Nicole & Melissa were helpful every step of the way by quickly responding to my many emails and answering all of our questions. They coordinate the rehearsal, the wedding day, setting up your decorations, etc. so you don’t have to worry about a thing. I feel that I had a good amount of “stuff” to be set up in the Reading Room and they set it all up exactly as I wanted. Nicole & Melissa were amazing and any bride would be lucky to work with them. Our food also turned wonderful on the wedding day. It was HOT, which is not always the case with weddings and it tasted just as perfect as it had our tastings. Our guests raved about the apps and the entrees. The wait staff also did a wonderful job taking care of our guests. All in all, Bar Harbor Inn did a remarkable job. We look back and feel so lucky that our wedding day was so perfect.

The Bar Harbor Inn is a picturesque venue to have a wedding. Basically the location sells itself. The view is beautiful and the Reading Room is a charming reception room that has the best view in Maine. So, honestly, you could pick it just on views and beauty.

But then you have the staff at the Bar Harbor Inn....we worked for about a year with Nicole Wallace during our planning process. She is amazing. She's iincredibly organized and always prompt with replies. She fielded my (likely annoying amount) emails in a thoughtful and caring manner. When we met her during our first meeting, we had met with a few other venues and we could tell that Nicole knew exactly what she was doing.

The days leading up to our wedding were stressful, but thanks to the fact that Nicole and the staff were available and so organized and calm, the time went by with no issues and everything ran amazingly smoothly. We even had rain on our wedding and somehow they made it seem like it wasn't the end of the world to me! They had thought of everything and it alleviated so much stress that I was able to just enjoy the day and leave all the details up to them!

I would absolutely recommend the Bar Harbor Inn to anyone getting married. We had a wonderful experience there and look forward to visiting on our anniversaries!

When Tony and I started planning our wedding, we originally wanted to have our ceremony at a private oceanfront home next to a yacht club where we thought we could hold our reception. The ceremony site was a go, but the yacht club didn't respond to our many attempts to dicuss things, and then we were informed that the facility fee had doubled from the year before. We decided to look somewhere else. "I just want to get married in Bar Harbor!" I said toTony. Once that was revealed, he said it was obvious and simple. "Then it's the Bar Harbor Inn." We already loved the location, and that all of our guests ooohed and ahhhed over our choice. The Inn is gorgeous and sophisticated, and we realized that it was in our original budget, since we wouldn't have to rent an expensive tent, hire a caterer, arrange for a cake maker, and secure a wedding coordinator. Nicole and Melissa took care of every detail and made it so easy. Their recommended vendor list was a huge help. We had a cake created after the Starry Night painting by a celebrated national cake maker. Our live jazz band provided us with the perfect atmosphere, and our guests were DAZZLED! Superb food, beautiful presentation and service by the staff (thank you to all!), and an authentic, historical Bar Harbor Inn to complete our wedding day. We highly recommend talking with Nicole and Melissa to share your wedding day desires and ideas.

The BHI provided great food and service for our wedding. They were flexible with special dietary requests and showed great attention to detail.

The event coordinators were extremely helpful, patient, and very kind, which was greatly appreciated while planning a wedding and reception. Most of my correspondence was via email and I received thorough responses back from the event coordinators within the next day. They were very helpful in coordinating the flow of cocktail hour and the reception as well as contributing to a beautiful set up for reception decor. The Bar Harbor Inn is an amazingly beautiful venue for a wedding, providing gorgeous settings for wedding photos, and excellent accommodations. I would highly recommend the Bar Harbor Inn as a venue for a wedding and reception.

I was very pleased with everything about the Bar Harbor Inn, from Nicole's help throughout the entire process, Melissa's thoroughness about all the details of the day, the superb food and excellent waitstaff. The estimated bill was very close to the actual amount and the inn was mindful of our need to stay within a budget. As mother-of-the bride I was able to relax and enjoy the day as the inn truly took care of everything.

I had a wonderful experience at the Bar Harbor Inn. They were very helpful in my planning process as well as the day of my wedding. The staff took care of everything for my reception!

We had our wedding one month ago at the Bar Harbor Inn and it was PERFECT! All of the staff was so helpful and kind. We planned our wedding from Arizona (I grew up in Maine) and Nicole was always available to answer questions and help out. The staff even managed to get our very elaborate table settings set up perfectly! It went so well, and all we had to do was have fun the day of our wedding - I wish we could get married there every weekend.

The Inn is an institution on the island and I never would have imagined we woul afford to get married there but it was incredibly reasonable and the food was delicious. We heard nothing but rave reviews from our friends and family.

We plan on going back to the inn to celebrate anniversaries as often as possible.

They did an amazing job at everything, the food, the cake, the set up, Nicole was a big help in every way. The guests loved every minute of it. the outside was absolutely gorgeous. we will def be back for a honeymoon sometime.

I had to take a minute to let you know about the extraordinary services my fiancé and I received at the Bar Harbor Inn for our wedding, which took place on Friday July 26, 2013. Due to the dismal weather, our ceremony was forced inside and even with the last minute changes, Nicole and her team never made it feel like a compromise, but rather that it had been planned that way long ago. Nor, did I feel, with the beautiful set up in the dining room area, that I had really missed out not having my ceremony on the lawn, especially as they met every attention to detail that I had envisioned for my outside nuptials, including my signs. Further, due to the fact that I was not staying at the main inn, but at the Newport building, there was great care and communication taken between Nicole and her staff, as well as Cythia at The Spa, and they were able to find me a room at the main inn in which to dress, only a half hour before the ceremony was set to begin.

Wedding planning can be a stressful task. Wedding planning in the year 2020 is downright formidable, and I'm not sure we could have had our dream destination wedding without Sue and Briana at Bar Harbor Inn. While our wedding was small, they continued to give the same level of service and attention to detail as if we had 500 people attending. Planning from afar, the devil was in the details of communication, and Sue was always quick to respond, even if the reply was that she recieve our question and would research further to answer for us. From holding items that we shipped, to helping display and decorate the space with those items, to helping us every step of the way, we couldn't ask for more. The ceremony spot was something out of a dream as the sun set on the ocean behind us, and the reception spot was the perfect amount of space for 20 person party. We were even able to hook up the projector to play mario kart! And don't even get me started on the food. We both met in a he culinary program, so tend to be a bit of foodie snobs, and we were quite worried about how the food would taste considering we didn't get to go to a tasting beind so far away. We had NOTHING to be concerned about. Everyone raved about the food, the chicken was moist and flavorful, the fish was cooked perfectly, and I was told the vegan cakes were inspiration for dinner later on. And, my gosh, I wish I had another stomach just for the cake. We have tried to recreate the salted caramel buttercream to no avail, so if anyone would like to slip me a secret recipe, I would be forever thankful.

But here's where they go above 5 star status, and trust me if I could give 6 I would:I was so caught up in the day's activities I just simply wasn't hungry at the reception. They boxed up my meal for me to go, and you think that alone would be enough, but no! See, I ended up FORGETTING my meal at the inn, and once I got back to our (different) hotel, I was devastated. They personally DROVE MY MEAL to a our hotel OVER A MILE AWAY. When we got the phone call from our front desk, I literally could not believe my ears. I ate it the following night and it was just as good as the few bites I had taken the night before. Now THAT is another, unheard of level of service.

There was a mini faux pas when it came to recieving our items back, which I only mention just to bring balance, and if that was the only blimp on an otherwise perfect day, I will take it. Also, I'd suggest getting your hair and make-up done elsewhere-at least when we went, the hair stylist was not a very plesant person. But besides that, you will not be disappointed having your wedding at this venue. Sue and Briana did more than I could have ever expected to make our dream a reality.

The spa at the Bar Harbor Inn was very accommodating in helping me prepare for my wedding. It helped that we were staying there and had that advantage. We were eloping and they allowed for me to get pictures taken there and Darcy helped make my hair look amazing and achieve my vision. All the ladies were extremely helpful and sweet in making me feel special.

I had hair & makeup for myself and my bridal party done at the Spa at the Bar Harbor Inn. I had a minor miscommunication regarding scheduling. However, once addressed, Stephanie kept me in the loop and went above and beyond to help me set up food and drink for that morning.
Gabby did a fantastic job with my hair and makeup! She listened to my input regarding the trial and turned me into the most beautiful version of myself. It was exactly how I wanted to look like on my wedding day. The rest of my bridal party was pleased, including the MOB and MOG. The first leg of my wedding day went off without a hitch, and that is because of the talent and attention of the staff at the Spa at the Bar Harbor Inn.

When I first visit Bar Harbor, never did I think I would come back to get married. We chose Bar Harbor because we got engaged on Cadillac Mountain at sunrise. It was amazing. It was a clear choice for us, however it took us a while to decide on this venue. We loved everything about it, the food option, the beautiful location (right at the Harbor facing Frenchman's Bay), and the classically modern dining room. The only downside was that weddings were only available during the day. That didn't become a problem for us quickly as we decided to rent a beach house in Trenton and have a wedding after party there were guest can enjoy kayaking/boating/canoeing and fireworks afterwards. It was clear to us that having a day time wedding was perfect because we were able to enjoy the view of Frenchman's Bay and the beautiful scenery the entire time of the wedding. Nicole and Kelley our wedding coordinator were AMAZING!! They accommodated to everything we requested. They were so so helpful that we can't stop raving about how amazing they were. My in laws stayed there and couldn't have asked for better service. We had a fun kids table with coloring books, puzzles and games but were out of paper, so they quickly found some and made sure the kids were happy. The only reason why I gave them 4 for flexibility is because we had to leave the dining room exactly at 4:25-4:30pm where all the guest had to be out so they can convert to dinner time at 5pm. That was the only thing I wish was more flexible. Overall, I think our entire family, guest, and kids enjoyed their time at our wedding. The entire Bar Harbor staff truly made it so special for us and we can't thank them enough. One thing we thought was extra sweet was receiving a gift from Nicole and Kelley and Bar Harbor Inn, which was a framed sketched painting of Bar Harbor Inn. It meant a lot to us, and it's something we can keep years to come and show our kids some day. They really made it a home away from home.

Everything was fabulous! The food was excellent, they took care of everything! Only downside was we could not bring a bottle of champagne to dinner that was given to is as a gift because the liquor liscence was so restricting, but that isn't the hotels fault.

We could not have picked a better venue for our wedding. The Bar Harbor in was what we imagined and much more. We planned the entire thing from afar, only visiting once we had placed the significant deposit. There were two main staff members who were in charge of the event. Although one member was significantly more helpful, responsive, and accommodating, the other one was very friendly and tried to do as much as she could (she just appeared significantly less experienced and a bit overwhelmed by all of our adjustments). Every one of our guests raved about the food, view, and every aspect of the venue. We made a considerable amount of changes to their package (we wanted an ice cream bar instead of a wedding cake, we didn't want a wedding procession, we didn't want table covers or to hassle with center pieces, etc) since we wanted a much more casual event then probably most their clients request and EVERY request was met by an open mind and a smile. We could not recommend this venue enough to everyone we have talked to.

We were tremendously pleased with Bar Harbor Inn and the staff.

The ceremony and reception site has beautiful views and did not require much additional decorations.

We had the Wonderland Brunch for our menu. All of our guests loved the food. I had my brother in law and a few of my close friends tell me that it was the best wedding food that they had. I agree! `

Sue, the wedding coordinator, although slow to respond is extremely helpful. This is a destination wedding for us and she has made it easy to find vendors and to make the day seamless. The location couldn't be more perfect. Great for small, intimate weddings.

We initially worked with Nicole Wallace and then later on with Melissa Wheat. Both were extremely professional and handled the whole planning process with grace. We had several meetings during which we went over the many details of the wedding day as they became finalized. When our flowers arrived a day too early, Melissa sent them back without even worrying us. We never would have known it even happened except that one of our fathers was in the front desk area at the time! Melissa also did a phenomenal job during the "herding cats" process of getting all of us organized during the rehearsal. She made it very easy and clear for everyone to know where they were supposed to be at what time. I would heartily recommend this venue and the ladies we worked with. Thank you!

The BHI Team were very helpful and catered to our needs without any issues or problems. They made the day just everything we wanted it to be.

Nicole and Melissa were wonderful wedding co-ordinators. The porcupine room was decorated beautifully, we designed our own seafood menu with the chef who was quite accomodating and the food was superb, the service was great and unobtrusive, and we ran overtime which wasn't a problem. There are some hotel rooms quite close to the porcupine room which mean that the Inn does ask for the wedding to finish by 9.30pm, which is quite early. We could have hired those rooms ourselves in which case we could have had the room for longer, though that would have added to the cost of the wedding. We were able to get an extension by 30 minutes because our party was small and we did not have music.

We were thrilled with the choice to have our reception at Bar Harbor Inn. Beautiful location and good service!

My new husband has a lot of food allergies. They worked with us to ensure that we both could enjoy the food at our wedding. It's a stunning venue and they were more than happy to accommodate our, at times, unusual requests. My
Only complaint was there was a few miscommunications in regards to the salon the morning (the salon folks did not know where the mimosa we had paid for were and in the end, we had to make them ourselves with supplies that were apparently not where they typically were) Also, it would typically take up to two emails and:or phone calls for me
To get a response (however, they would respond eventually and be gracious about it). My last example was that my sweetheart table was not set up how we had wanted it to be. Evidently they had not recorded the bouquets after the ceremony which is fair. However, I wished they had asked me for them so that I didn't have to set it up myself during the reception.

Overall, they did a great job and were very kind. They really went above and beyond to accommodate my husbands food allergies and we had an amazing wedding day! It doesn't hurt that it's a beautiful location as well!

Everyone was very kind and helpful! Would highly recommend this venue to others!
