Magnicificent Place!
We searched far and wide for something affordable, beautiful, and perfect that our daughter would love and have fantastic memories from her wedding day - and we found it in Avalon Legacy Ranch! From our first meeting with the ladies there, to the after-wedding day communications, these gals have been superb! Friendly, thoughtful, caring, professional and detail oriented. And one of the things I loved? That they do their entire job well while also giving you the space to "own" the place and enjoy the entire home and grounds on the wedding day as if it were your own home. No one intruding, no one pocking around, just the entire place to yourselves and yet, if you needed them, they are just a text or call away and quickly hop in to help.
Something else we loved: it was gorgeous! We didn't need any further decor than the table centerpieces. The natural beauty is magnificent - even in the middle of a Texas August! I can only imagine the glory of it all during the blooming Spring time!
The size of the house and patio and adorable outdoor, open-air chapel was perfect! There were no hidden fees (like so many other places have!) These ladies were upfront on costs and what all they provide and they made it easy to happen!
I highly recommend Avalon Legacy Ranch. It is adorable, homey, gorgeous, natural, roomy enough, and a beautiful place to create such special memories! I think at least half of our guests continue to mention (almost 3 months later) what a beautiful venue it was and the other half are thinking it! They all loved it as much as we did!
Thank you, Avalon Legacy! You were a joy to work with and I secretly hope our son will one day want to hold his own special day there when and if the time comes! Such an amazing venue and friendly, professional people who make you feel like life-long friends!

Perfect wedding venue
Avalon Legacy Ranch was genuinely the most perfect venue for a wedding! Especially a dreamy romantic fall wedding but I may be biased. Everyone was so helpful and was available to answer any little question I had! If I had no budget for a wedding, I would find a way to book this venue still and walk down in the clothes that I had. Can’t recommend this venue enough!

A perfect day at a perfect place!
This was the perfect venue for my wedding!!! So many compliments on how amazing the setting was. The interior of the house, the grounds, the porch, the open air chapel—they all combine to provide the absolute perfect setting for a smallish wedding. The staff is wonderful too!

Wedding Beyond my Wildest Dreams
Getting married in Avalon Legacy Ranch was a dream come true, I fell in love with the place before I fell in love with my now husband and when it was that time to choose a venue it was clear to me. My fairytale wedding could only happen there. Now, actually making it happen, was a whole new experience the love and care Debi, Heather and Alee put into giving you the best day of your life is beyond any expectations I am so grateful for everything they did to give us the most beautiful day of our lives, and our guests keep talking about how perfect the place was rustic, cozy, giving you the feeling of being in the middle of a forest! It’s something I’ll carry with me forever!

Our experience at Avalon Legacy Ranch was phenomenal! This family-owned venue offers a stunning blend of natural beauty and rustic charm, making it the perfect backdrop for my daughter’s wedding.
The staff, who are the owners and family members, were a joy to work with—responsive, supportive, and genuinely dedicated to making our day special. Most of the vendors we used came from their excellent preferred list, which made planning so much easier.

Dream wedding at Avalon Legacy Ranch!
Run don’t walk to tour this amazing property. Gorgeous views with every turn with a feeling of being at home. We also hired Alee who works at Avalon as an ur wedding coordinator. Her and her team ensured every small detail was handled with perfection. All the vendors they recommended were also outstanding. They were flexible as well if you wanted to use your own or bring some of your own items. Would 💯 use them again if ever the occasion arises for an event in the future.

Best Day Ever!
We got married at Avalon in May 2024.
We spent all of about 2 minutes in this venue before deciding this was where we wanted to have our special day. In fact, my now husband was the one who made the final decision! I cannot say enough amazing things about Avalon. We had soooo many guests come up to us during and after the wedding to tell us how much they enjoyed the venue. It was a dream come true. Avalon has this beautiful outdoor, vintage, garden feel that is so unique and in my mind just can’t be beat. Also, the women of Avalon should get their own review. From the moment we walked in, we felt their genuine excitement and care for our big day. Especially, Alee! We hired Alee to be our part time wedding planner and I can confidently say that we would not have survived the wedding planning process without her. Alee is passionate, flexible, knowledgeable, so kind, attentive to every question or need, and really helped make our vision come to life. I truly don’t know how to put into words my love for Alee and everything she did for us. And her two assistants! My goodness! My husband still periodically brings up how much he appreciated Alee’s assistants. They made our day run seamlessly. Thank you Avalon Legacy Ranch for truly making our wedding day the best entry into our marriage!

Incredible venue and team!
Alee and the team truly went above and beyond for us at this beautiful venue! We were coming from California and Alee spared no effort in making sure all our needs and questions were met. The venue itself was incredibly beautiful as well. It rained on our wedding day and they covered setup at Avalon had had all our guests loving the venue almost more. Couldn't have wished for a better day!

Incredible venue and even more incredible staff
I could not have dreamed of such a beautiful and romantic place to get married! Avalon Legacy Ranch far exceeded our expectations the whole way. Not only was the venue itself stunning, but the people who work there made our experience even better with their attention to detail and hospitality. This venue is the perfect place for an intimate and special wedding day. The indoor and outdoor spaces are all unique and beautiful. The ceremony location was so beautifully surrounded by trees and nature that we did not feel the need to go over the top with decor. The wedding photos that we got from this venue are truly unique and irreplaceable! Choosing this wedding venue was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding!!

We absolutely loved having our elopement and later our ceremony celebration at Avalon Legacy Ranch! Beautiful wedding, easy planning, great staff
Avalon Legacy Ranch is an absolutely stunning venue that requires minimal work on the couple’s end to create a gorgeous wedding, and whose cost comes in well below its value.
There are a ton of great, very fairly priced value adds available like a photo trailer, farmhouse tables, and some great onsite decor. The venue is beautiful enough on its own that we skipped a florist. We were able to go very minimal on external decorations, we did some simple centerpieces with things like vases, bird cages and candleholders Avalon had on hand, we paid maybe one vendor delivery fee for linens setup. The outdoor ceremony space was perfect as-is, and needed nothing more from us. The getting-ready space is massive and well-appointed; we had about 15 women between both of our wedding parties and there was plenty of space for everyone to get ready.
Debi took us all over the property during our cocktail hour to make sure we got great photos. The venue was well staffed for a very seamless day.

Amazing wedding reception at Avalon!
The entire team at the Avalon Legacy Ranch did such an amazing job during my wedding. We had our reception at the ranch and they accommodated a large guest list and helped us plan the layout and seating-- it turned out spectacular! They were so helpful with any challenges we faced. The best venue!
I can't say enough good words about this venue and staff. I've actually made life long friends with Alee (onsite coordinator). I still to this day have people telling me our wedding was one of the most beautiful they've been to and I barely used any decorations, I relied on Avalon Legacy Ranch's natural beauty. There were no regrets having our wedding here. We could even bring our dogs!!

These women went above and beyond to make our special day, so meaningful and rememberable! Not only did they make that possible but we also gained friendship throughout this whole process! They were very communicative and helpful with answering any questions that I needed throughout the planning. There was never a stressful moment, the venue is absolutely gorgeous. Dream Wedding Come True
We had our post-elopement celebration here and it was a dream come true. Debi, Alee, and Hannah were all wonderful to work with and really did their best to make sure we had everything we needed and that the day ran smoothly. They are excellent at communicating and will answer any questions you’ve got. Our guests are still talking about how beautiful the venue is. So perfect
Avalon Legacy Ranch was the MOST. PERFECT. venue we could possibly have for our wedding. The price was very fair for how much you get out of it. We had the venue for the entire day and were able to get ready at the venue with hair and makeup. The reception area was great as well. There was an area in the back for those that wanted to smoke cigars which the men enjoyed. We had the whole backyard area where we set up the photobooth, so lots of space for us to enjoy but not overly big to where we didn't feel close to our friends and family. SO gorgeous at night with the lights! Alee couldn't have done a better job. She was super helpful and made sure our day was perfect. 10/10 and would recommend to any and everyone!

A dream come true!
Me and my husband got married here last November! It was an absolute dream!! The venue was beautiful and the staff was so generous and helpful with anything I needed and always answered texts and questions quickly. It was the perfect mix of outdoors and rustic chic! Debbie and Alee are the best and we could not recommend them enough to make your day as special as they did ours!

Best. Day. Ever.
Avalon Legacy Ranch truly made our wedding day magical. Long story short, our wedding date was originally in August but my husband had an injury playing sports just a few weeks before our wedding, and he had to have surgery. I was slightly worried, especially because our wedding guest list was large and everyone had already booked flights/hotels/etc.; however the team at Avalon is so incredible to work with. They found a date for us that would work, and they helped me make the huge change all in one day. We ended up getting married 11/11/16, and everything was truly MAGICAL and so special. The venue itself is sooo dreamy. There are TONS of beautiful photo spots and the deck is gorgeous for dinner and dancing! I have since returned to the venue for other photoshoots because I know that I can count on it to always be gorgeous! I even recently returned for a surprise proposal that I had planned. Overall, this venue is a 10 out of 10. Can’t wait for the next time I get to go back!

MOH Review
I was the MOH in my sister-in-law's wedding and helped plan quite a bit. The staff at Avalon was wonderful to work with and very helpful and accommodating through the entire process. The venue was beautiful and the perfect space for an outdoor/indoor event. Even though it was freezing the evening of the wedding, the indoor space was great for gathering and warming up. Would 10/10 recommend this space for your wedding!

We Loved It!
My wife and I got married here in November and we loved it. It turned out to be a cold Texas day/night, but the heaters and house offered so much relief to the guests and they truly still had a blast. My groomsmen and I liked the space for us to get ready - had a TV for football games so we were happy. The staff was great and we loved having this as our venue.

11/10 You Should Get Married Here
Our wedding was 11.19.22 at Avalon Legacy Ranch and it was EVERYTHING! The reason we chose this venue was so our guests could enjoy all the spaces they have to offer without feeling tied to a table all night and it was perfect for that! The ceremony space is so intimate and romantic (even with 160 people). Alee and Debbie who run the venue are 11/10! Their communication was unmatched and so refreshing when dealing with a vendor. We were allowed to bring in our own vendors but used a few of their preferred vendors because they know what good it. Truly cannot say enough amazing things about this venue and their staff!

Dream venue
This venue and team was an absolute dream. They made me feel at ease with everything, and made everything beautiful, even with thunderstorms. I can’t recommend this venue enough. We received so many compliments on the venue. Even with inclement weather, it was stunning. We loved the natural beauty, homey feel and charm. It was truly a fairytale. Wish we could relive it over and over again!

A perfect venue for a perfect day
Avalon Legacy Ranch was the perfect location for my big day. Originally we chose this venue based on its outdoor ceremony and reception areas not knowing what would happen with COVID-19. I also wanted something outdoors without leaning too far into the barn/country theme I'd seen at a lot of other venues. Avalon is rustic but its natural beauty goes well with any wedding style or theme you can dream up. Alee and Debi, were both so helpful during the 10-month planning process. Debi sent timely reminders and updates about everything from event insurance to day-of event reminders. I ended up hiring Alee to help me with month-of/day-of wedding coordination and that was the best money we spent during the entire process - no lie. Alee, already knowing the venue, was a PRO at helping me on my wedding day. She kept me apprised of the time and what was next on the schedule (I was missing my apple watch that day!), she made sure I got something to eat, that I got time to breathe with my new husband, she handled all of the tiny bits of turbulence that comes up on a wedding day. I love her - truly. I wish I could take her home with me! Back to the ranch, the bridal suite had a ton of space and the groomsmen's room was perfect with a tv and couches. I cannot wait to see the photos so I can share how beautiful the venue's grounds were. Immaculate gardens and everything was spotless indoors and out. And would you believe they had a wedding there the night before??? I showed up at 10 am and everything was sparkling clean. Another plus: their preferred vendor list was chock full of rock stars. We found our caterer, DJ, and bartenders from that list. Avalon Legacy Ranch in McKinney is the perfect place to feel like you are having a destination wedding while being only 12 minutes from the highway. Book your wedding here!

Amazing wedding experience
My wife and I got married at Avalon Legacy Ranch August 28th! It was the most beautiful day! Our journey with Avalon started over a year ago! My wife and I completely fell in love with the venue at first sight! Alee and Debi were a special added bonus!! Both of them were such a pleasure to work with! They answered all of our questions and were extremely helpful and supportive through the whole process! We could not have had such a successful wedding without the help of them and their lovely team! My mom is still raving about Becca and Alee! We ended up coming to the venue to take pre wedding photos and they came out spectacular! One of the many reasons we picked this venue was there is so many places for photos and videos! The bridal party was so impressed with how much space was provided! Debi and Alee provide an amazing vendor recommendation selection, we followed it and could not have been happier with how the vendors turn out!
We were obsessed with the reception deck area it felt like we were in a tree house. They did an amazing job keeping it cool for our summer wedding! For our older guests it was important that the venue was a indoor / outdoor which it is! My grandparents enjoyed being able to come inside. We added on the farm tables and they are absolutely stunning!! We received so many compliments from our guests about the venue and it’s location! We had a lot of out of town guests and it is in a prime location as there are so many hotels around! We would give 10 stars ⭐️ if we could!

Perfect day in 2020
Absolutely gorgeous venue (omg the lighting!) with wonderful staff that will do everything they can to make sure your wedding is everything you envisioned. We got married in April...2 weeks before our wedding date EVERYTHING closed down due to CoVid. Debi and Alee were wonderful about working with us to reschedule our reception and coordinate with our vendors on a new date. 2020 was a rough year for anyone trying to plan a wedding and at times we wondered if it would ever happen, and if it did, would it be worth everything we put into it. Luckily for us we chose the right space and people. We could not have been happier with how beautiful the venue was and how smoothly everything ran.

Beautiful venue
Alee and Debi at Avalon Legacy Ranch were an absolute blessing! They were able to accommodate a small elopement on short notice and really made my dream day happen! The venue is breathtaking and has so many beautiful spots for photos! The grounds are so well kept and the ceremony site is perfect. I would recommend them to anyone, they were so great to work with!

The Most Magical and Dreamy Wedding Venue
If you are considering Avalon Legacy Ranch for your wedding- BOOK IT! I can't even begin to describe how amazing our wedding day was- the beautiful bridal suites and ranch house, 25 acres of unbelievable property that guests can walk around to explore, the covered reception porch, the outdoor chapel with wooden benches and stained glass- everything is just stunning. Our guests are still raving about how beautiful the venue is and how much they loved the property. We hosted cocktail hour in the back area outside and had a petting zoo, it was a HUGE hit with our guests and the Avalon staff was so excited about it and helped us make our petting zoo happen! The Avalon staff, Debi and Alee are SO professional and made our big day perfect. You can tell that every part of the venue is cared for with love, though the compassion of the Avalon team and how they treat the Bride&Groom and guests. Even through the challenges of COVID this year, they were incredibly communicative and made us feel comfortable through the unknown. Would 100% recommend this venue looking for a dreamy, outdoor/indoor magical wedding!

Like a Hallmark Movie
Words cannot express my gratitude for Debi Ladd and the Avalon Legacy Ranch staff. My entire wedding planning and wedding day was something out of a magazine! It was the PERFECT wedding and it's all because of them. I came to them with little to no ideas for what I wanted to experience. Debi, being who she is, made magic out of NOTHING.
My husband knew we wanted to get married but being in the middle of a pandemic and losing our jobs we had nowhere to start. Debi took a huge load off of us in the midst of her own series of wedding cancellations. This is just a small testament to her heart and the REAL work she does each day. You have to see it for yourself.
We started with a simple idea and Debi and her staff worked their magic and brought it to life. She made sure we had the most amazing vendors on our special day by providing us with a list of people she’s worked with and some that have been wanting to work with her. If you think you don't need a team of heartfelt people, think again, and if you think you can go with just anyone THINK AGAIN! DEBI LADD IS IT!
Debi is a top-notch venue owner and I am incredibly BLESSED to have had her help and by my side throughout the entire planning process. She always made us feel as though she had everything 100% under control. Trust me, you want to get married at this venue!! Debi is a wedding genius! It's like she was reading my mind!! I loved everything she came up with! She respected my input and added her expertise to my ideas. The day of the wedding ran so smoothly. Any guest that came in contact with Debi said she was the sweetest and so grateful to see such a beautiful venue.

Best Wedding Decision Ever!!
Avalon Legacy Ranch and the entire team there are absolutely INCREDIBLE! My husband and I got married at ALR in November of 2018 and almost two years later I still would not change a single thing. From our first tour we knew we wanted to get married there but looked at a few other venues just to be sure, and nothing even compared! Every single inch of this venue, both inside and outside, has clearly been given so much love and detailed attention from the staff and it really shines through. The house and deck are gorgeous, the walk down to the outdoor chapel is beautiful, and the outdoor chapel itself is amazing (pictures don’t even do this venue justice)!
One of my biggest concerns with having an outdoor wedding in Texas during November was the weather. Would it be 30 degrees or 100 degrees? Would it be sunny and amazing or pouring rain? Luckily at ALR it really doesn’t matter either way. Their “backup” ceremony location on the deck is equally as gorgeous as the outdoor ceremony site and they have plenty of ways to help you combat the Texas heat or cold! When I say they are prepared to help you with anything….they really are! They are very flexible with vendors but can also give you great recommendations if you aren’t sure who to use. There was also a lot of flexibility around scheduling times for tours, engagement photos, and rehearsal times, which was extremely helpful since we lived two hours away. As a whole, the venue is run by incredible people who clearly take pride in their work and want to make each wedding as wonderful as possible. Our entire wedding day ended up being so filled with joy and love (with 0% stress) and a huge part of that was because of the venue and the people who run it.
We also chose to use Alee as our month of coordinator and WOW she is so sweet and wonderful. Alee is an incredible human and was the reassuring voice that you just sometimes need, especially when you’re trying to figure out how to plan a wedding. She helped us through some last minute planning, rehearsals (both on the deck and at the chapel because I always feel the need to be prepared lol), she handled setting up the decor, she helped keep everyone on track, made sure my stuff got into our getaway car, got us to our exit, sent us off with some leftovers from the caterer, and was just overall so incredibly wonderful!
TLDR: This venue is outrageously gorgeous and working with Alee is a dream! Having our wedding here was the best decision we made!

Simply beautiful!
This venue was so beautiful! Deb & Alee were a joy to work with -- professional, responsive and super helpful. We had to reschedule due to covid, which was very easy and quick. I highly recommend this venue and their list of vendors -- everyone we used was super friendly & helpful - the entire evening was absolutely perfect!

Wonderful venue
We fell in love with Avalon Legacy Ranch in pictures and then we we went to visit we knew it was perfect. This is such a charming venue and everyone could not stop taking about how beautiful our wedding was (and decorations were not on the top of my list).
You do have to hire a coordinator to help you on your day of, but Alee does a wonderful job and I definitely recommend hiring her for the whole month before! She did so much to make that last month so easy and took care of everything on wedding day.

The best venue ever!
Seriously guys, Avalon is the best venue! We got engaged and toured Avalon the next day and it just felt sooo right. We knew it would be the perfect venue for us and it was!!! Alee helped us so much along the way. She was so cool when we toured the venue and once we booked, she was always there to answer any questions I had. Alee is amazing! The venue itself is absolutely stunning! We just felt in love with the ceremony site and the rustic yet antique feeling of the house. If you want to get married in an GORGEOUS outdoor setting, Avalon is your place. It was the perfect place to bring all of our friends and family together for our special day.

Thank you ALR for makimg my special day the BEST one!! We couldn't have asked for a better venue! This was both my husband and my style! We loved having the flexibility to bring in some of the best vendors to make this wedding such a fun and memorable one!! We prayed for nice weather and it was beautiful with clear blue skies in the background! We have had so many compliments on the venue! It is gorgeous and so inviting for the guests to walk around, mingle, and enjoy the community of others! The lights on the patio are a perfect touch to the reception photos at night! It was simply the easiest decision when choosing this venue! The bridal suite is exquisite, the library, the patio, and the pond all make a beautiful touch! Thank you ALR!! Better than a dream!
It is hard to know where to start with the INCREDIBLE experience that my husband and I had with this venue! The property itself is absolutely stunning! From the beautiful outdoor chapel, to the huge patio, to the fields and trails and lake and bridge... This venue truly has everything - for EVERY style of wedding! From the moment we walked in to tour Avalon Legacy Ranch, to the moment we were leaving as man and wife, it could not have been better. Beautiful Venue!
This is such a gorgeous venue with fire pits and a beautiful covered porch that has space for guests and dancing. For older guests that don't want to be outside, there's a area indoors for them to lounge in. While I ended up booking another venue, I was a little sad because of all this place has to offer.

Avalon Legacy Ranch was the first venue we looked at and myself and my fiance automatically knew it was where we wanted to get married! The venue is absolutely gorgeous and Alee and Debi are extremely easy to work with; they were so incredibly helpful and responsive to our questions and needs and I am so grateful for that! Our guests gushed about how beautiful the venue and grounds were and my mom was extremely impressed with how amazing and helpful Alee was the day of our wedding. I couldn't have made a better choice by choosing Avalon Legacy Ranch as our wedding venue. The second I drove past the trees surrounding the venue and into the clearing I had the strongest feeling in the world that this was the venue I NEEDED to choose. We proceeded to look at about 8 other venues and everything paled in comparison! Alee and the Avalon Legacy crew were absolutely amazing. Any questions I had were answered immediately, I was given all kinds of advice, and I even hired Alee to be my wedding coordinator because she was so awesome. The venue couldn't have been more beautiful and all the ladies at Avalon Legacy had so much to do with making my wedding more beautiful than I had ever imagined. About a week before the wedding I was sent this long list of questions that took me about 3 days to finish (when i say long list, I mean LONG list), but they made sure I had EVERY SINGLE BASE covered for my wedding day. And believe it or not, our day literally didn't have one problem. I highly recommend getting married at Avalon Legacy!! Thank you guys again so so so much!!!

From the mother of the bride - excellent experience and awesome support
As mother of the bride, I am singing praises for my daughter’s wedding venue, Avalon Legacy Ranch in McKinney, Texas! The wedding and reception were beautiful and beyond anything I could imagine! It would have been a disaster had it not been for Avalon Legacy Ranch stepping up and recommending a new catering/ bar service two days before the wedding when I learned our original Caterer, Whisk Catering and Consulting, had cancelled via an email to me. I missed that email in the hundred or so messages I get each day.The message was cc’d to AVALON LEGACY RANCH and they CALLED me! One of the venue owners, Alee, talked me through the horrible news and made me know they were going to help me get things back on track. They were going to make sure we had linen table clothes and napkins as planned, they made calls to caterers wth bar service they know and trust and we got everything back on target to have the wedding and reception in two days as scheduled. I can’t say enough good things...they helped us make sure my daughter had the wedding and reception of her dreams! The owners and this venue are beautiful!

A perfect setting for a wedding
Where do I begin! Our experience with Avalon Legacy Ranch has been AMAZING from our first venue tour all the way through our wedding day. Debbie, Alee, Faye and the entire staff are so sweet and were so helpful every step of the way. After booking, we visited ALR a couple times to help plan out vision and logistics for the wedding day of (I can’t recommend this enough) – they helped coordinate our visits and answered any and every question we had! They also provided us a list of preferred vendors they know well and a planning check-list to make sure we weren’t forgetting anything. This venue is so beautiful and was perfect setting for our wedding – I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a woodsy, romantic, secluded location in the DFW metroplex!

Dream Wedding Venue
My then-fiance told me this was her "dream wedding venue" so we pulled the trigger and it was so worth it!
The ranch house and property are just so beautiful and unique, like no other venue we'd seen before. The lighting is amazing, the ambiance is perfect. The ranch house layout is organic, and fun-mingling inducing... It really impressed all of our guests!
Plus, Alee and Debi helped us so much with managing both our families and general wedding-coordination (which was amazing).
The result was a truly unforgettable day filled with laughs, great food, dancing, and toasts. Thank you so much from the bottom of our heart. By the way, the pictures came out great! What a venue, what an experience. My advice: go visit and book ALR today. You'll be happy you did.

Most romantic venue ever
We had our wedding at Avalon on December 8th and it was PERFECT! The atmosphere there is so intimate and romantic, it's like a dream. It's so gorgeous on it's own that you really barely have to decorate. It rained all day and our back up plan was just as amazing as the chapel would have been. Debi took care of everything and is such a joy to work with. We are so blessed to have shared our day with her and her beautiful venue!

Best venue ever!
Not only is Avalon Legacy Ranch the most beautiful venue ever but the staff is so wonderful! Alee helped make our planning process so easy! Her communication was spot on and she is so very sweet! All of our guest were blown away with how charming and enchanted Avalon feels and we couldn't be more happy with choosing it for our special day!

Absolutely amazing
The venue was absolutely beautiful! We had let the natural beauty take over and we had to do very little decorating ourselves. It was a rainy week and there was no guarantee that we would be able to host the ceremony outside like we dreamed but we had no worries because the "plan b" was just as gorgeous as the original spot and we would have had a perfect day either way. The staff was incredible as well, extremely helpful and very personable and would be more then happy to help at any given moment. Could not give them any higher praise for everything that day!

I found Avalon Legacy Ranch (ALR) through the Knot app and fell in love with the photos. I scheduled several venue tours and ALR was the first venue we visited. As soon as I took the tour I canceled all of my other venue visits and my husband Steve and I booked our wedding at Avalon Legacy Ranch. It was a risky decision not to look at any other venues but I have zero regrets about booking with ALR right away. ALR is absolutely gorgeous and the staff is so wonderful to work with! We worked with Debbie to book our date and we worked with Alee closer to our big day. They are great! My wedding coordinator and I sat down with Alee about a month before the wedding to go over every single detail and Alee was so helpful. They created a packet with questions for brides/grooms to use so you do not miss any detail. I am SO GRATEFUL for that information and those questions. Thanks to ALR’s help no detail of our big day was missed.
The staff allows you to use any vendors you prefer but they have a vendor list that was SO HELPFUL. We used the DJ and caterer that they recommended and they were both wonderful. They upstairs bridal suite was so much fun to use the day of the wedding. I had 10 bridesmaids and there was plenty of room for us to have our hair and make-up done and also relax and hang out. My husband and the groomsmen enjoyed hanging out downstairs and outside.
The grounds are so beautiful for pictures and the chapel area is so sweet and intimate. I also loved using the porch for our reception and the downstairs of the home for our buffet line and bar. Since the venue is so beautiful, it is so easy to decorate. I absolutely love all of our wedding photos all over the grounds.
I am so grateful for the wonderful staff at ALR and for their beautiful venue. It was the perfect place for my husband and I to start our lives together and we will treasure Avalon Legacy Ranch forever.

The only venue we went and looked at and I am so glad we did. Our wedding day was my favorite day ever, and it would not have happened without the amazing owners and beautiful venue. Every single person we have spoken to that attended so it was the most beautiful wedding that they have been to. Debbi and Alee are seriously the best. We booked at Avalon Legacy Ranch (ALR) as soon as we saw it online. It was that spectacular to us even ONLINE! We then toured the place and it was just like my fiancé (at the time)...MEANT TO BE! This place was not only gorgeous in it's beauty and ambiance it was greeted with FAMILY! It didn't fee like a business...it felt like family! We had the most beautiful wedding of a lifetime and I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone!

I always wanted to get married in Colorado but it wasn’t an option for us so my friend told me about Avalon. When we toured I felt like I was at a venue in Colorado- nestled in the woods but we were still in the DFW metroplex! The moment we went I knew this was where I wanted to get married.
The house is gorgeous and elegant. Every room is decorated so elegantly and feels extremely inviting and cozy. The patio is spacious yet intimate. The chapel is beautiful and unique.
The property is romantic and like you are in a wonderland. Every single thing about this venue is stunning!!
One of my favorite parts was having our first look at the lake. It felt intimate and like we were the only two people in the world.
Our wedding couldn’t have been more perfect!!! Everything from the wedding planning to the send off was perfect! There isn’t anything I would change!
The staff is so nice and helpful. They treated us like we were family. Most of the wedding industry is greedy but the staff and owner here are wanting to help make dreams come true instead of just cashing a check. Alee especially made our wedding day perfect! She was the absolute best and most helpful person during this wedding season!
Our wedding was the most magical and special day of our lives and we owe so much of that to Avalon! :)))))

My (now) husband and I knew Avalon Legacy Ranch was the place for us the second we drove up! It felt like a getaway from the hustle and bustle of DFW and instead transported us to a beautiful, intimate, ‘cabin in the woods’. We worked mostly with Alee, who was an absolute joy! Alee and the rest of the Avalon family were AHHHMAZING!! We happened upon the venue when we saw a friend's photos and my groom fell in love with its rustic elegance. He quickly made an appointment to tour and Alee was very accommodating and met us one Monday afternoon...that was the day we put down our deposit without even a second thought. From there planning continued and Avalon helped offer vendors that they had worked with and any other ridiculous question we had. We went out several times for bridals, with our day of planner and dress rehearsal. It was always in beautiful shape, including new outdoor benches. A week before our wedding our daughter became very ill and hospitalized. When they heard she would be unable to attend the wedding they arranged a live feed of the ceremony at NO CHARGE! It was such a sweet and special gesture and we were beyond grateful! Everything on the day of went perfectly. The staff were attentive, flattering...saying everything a bride and couple in total bliss want to hear. The grounds at Avalon are gorgeous and the staff is extremely thoughtful and professional. If you're looking for a venue that truly cares about the couples that profess their love in their sacred outdoor chapel...look no further. You will truly be treated like family at Avalon!

My husband and I saw Avalon online and just decided to come here and check it out because the other venues we had looked at weren't what we really wanted...they were not unique. As soon as we pulled into the parking lot of Avalon we fell in love. The venue was beyond beautiful and unlike any other. Then we met the staff...and we knew this was where we had to have our wedding. They are some of the nicest people you will ever meet and they really do know their stuff. They became our friends and we will always remember our wedding and how perfect it was because of them. The venue is also so beautiful and helped us have amazingly beautiful pictures. From the moment my fiancé and I spoke with Alee and Debi on the phone, we knew Avalon Legacy Ranch didn't even compare to the tons of other wedding venue options we were looking at. Alee and Debi are very kind, thoughtful, and truly care about each and every couple that plans their wedding at Avalon Legacy Ranch. Not being from Texas, I really, really wanted evergreen trees at my wedding, but I knew that would be hard to find in North Texas... until we saw Avalon Legacy Ranch!! My fiancé and I are absolutely in LOVE with the property-- the gorgeous pergolas covered with stunning roses, the STUNNING evergreen trees (my favorite), the gorgeous house with beautiful hardwood floors and antique design elements, spacious areas to gather and spend time with family and friends, the incredible outdoor chapel complete with stained glass and rod iron art at the altar, the sliding barn doors at the front of the aisle, and so much more! One of our favorite parts of the venue is that our guests won't be tied to sitting at their dinner table the whole evening-- they can sit around the fire pits in the pergolas, sit on the various porches, go for a walk around the pond, sit in the big comfy leather couches in the living room next to the towering fireplace, or dance on the dance floor on the HUGE deck. We are so excited to get married at Avalon Legacy Ranch in May and are so thrilled we found such an incredible, tucked away gem in North Texas!

I can't possibly put into words how wonderful Debi & Alee are at Avalon Legacy Ranch. My wedding would not have been the same without them. Not only is the venue GORGEOUS, these two really made my wedding day perfect. They were there to help with anything we needed and made the entire process so easy. I feel like you have to be a horrid bridezilla to think otherwise of this place and the people that are there to help you. They thought of things that had not crossed my mind, but were never pushy or trying to get their own agenda through at my wedding. I felt totally taken care of...like I was getting married at a family member's house, minus the stress. Everything was absolutely perfect and a few days later while we were on our honeymoon, they sent an email with a few photos they snapped and a video. They asked my husband and I to say a few words to each other as we were getting ready before the ceremony and it was so special coming home and watching them together. I seriously cannot say enough kind things about ALR and the wonderful ladies in charge, I know my wedding would not have been the same without them!! <3 #alristhebest

We couldn't have picked a more perfect venue for our special day- everything you need is there. The bridal suite is huge, and the grooms room has couches and a perfect space for the guys to hangout. The lake onsite made a beautiful background for our wedding pictures. It feels like there is nothing around but trees yet there are several hotels within 10 minutes to the venue, so guests don't have to drive 30-35 minutes just to get out there. It is very well kept and I'm pretty sure no matter what time of the year you get married the scenery will be beautiful regardless!

We got married at Avalon Legacy Ranch on November 6th! Debi and Alee made our wedding day so special! The venue is absolutely picturesque and Debi is a wonderful host. She and her team came alongside of my day-of coordinator and worked hard to make sure everything ran smoothly. They even went to get more coffee for us when we ran out unexpectedly. They let you use all your own vendors, which is fabulous when you are planning on a budget. It rained on our wedding day, and while I went through brief disappointment that we couldn't hold the ceremony in the outside chapel, the covered patio was transformed beautifully with twinkle lights. Everyone commented that it was such an intimate setting with the rain softly falling in the background :) Please know that hiring a coordinator is essential. Debi and Alee manage the grounds and assist. They aren't your wedding planners, but they did provide great support to my awesome coordinator.

My wife and I got married at Avalon Legacy Ranch. We couldn't have asked for a better, worry-free day out there. We had all day to prepare and were able to sit down, relax, and enjoy our big day. The venue was perfect. Clean, welcoming, and all set for us to celebrate. Debi and her team were ON THE BALL with all of our questions. They were all extremely helpful. I'm not one to usually write reviews, but I had to come back and rate Avalon with 5 starts. I couldn't imagine marrying my bride anywhere but there.

ALR is LITERALLY everything I could have asked for from a venue. It has everything I love about the country feel without sacrificing elegance. I couldn't have asked for a better place to have my special day! The setup is ideal for having the wedding party there all day. I really, REALLY loved the flexibility in being able to get there early and not be rushed out because of another wedding. Its OUR day and I don't have to worry about someone else needing the space in an hour, rushing out of there and missing a single minute of the wedding. Debi was honest with me and straight forward about pricing and what was included in that. I couldn't ask for anything more.

My husband and I could go on and on with wonderful things to say about Avalon Legacy Ranch. We can’t believe it has come and gone! The hubs proposed on 8/24/2015, and our wedding date was set for 8/6/2016. After almost a year of planning, he was playing basketball and injured himself pretty badly a few weeks before the wedding. Immediate surgery (with screws and 50+ stitches) was required, and the thought of changing our entire wedding date came to mind. I texted Avalon Legacy Ranch late one night (a few days before the surgery), and let’s just say they were there for us every step of the way and made sure that our new wedding date was going to be even more perfect than the original date. We were so thankful we were able to move our wedding to 11/11/2016—a date that we now believe was meant to be! From beginning to end, our wedding day was truly a celebration filled with love and all of our favorite people in the world. We couldn’t have asked for better weather. From the beautiful ceremony in Avalon’s outdoor garden chapel, to the sparkling lights and gorgeous greenery…everyone went above and beyond to make our wedding day magical and memorable. A little bit about the venue…the upstairs area is extremely spacious and cozy for your bridal party to get ready and relax. I had 14 bridesmaids, 2 flower girls, and a few other special ladies, and the upstairs was more than enough room for us to all get ready and enjoy the day, take pictures, dance, etc.! There are plenty of restrooms and a great kitchen for catering. The outdoor chapel is unbelievably gorgeous and doesn’t need “much” decor because of its natural beauty. It is just a short walk over the bridge, not far at all. We held our dinner/reception on the covered deck which was surrounded by sparkling lights. Again, everything was perfect! Avalon has three beautiful fire pits, and one of them can be used for s’mores. We took advantage of all three, and the photos are adorable with kisses and melted marshmallows!

I couldn't have been any happier with my wedding day and especially the venue we chose! This place could not be more beautiful with gardens, trees, fire pits, glowing twinkle lights, and so much more! Just wait till you see it in the evening..it seriously glows! Outdoor and indoor options all open for your use and Deb Ladd couldn't have been more accommodating. We always felt right at home till the last minute and on our wedding day our guests did too. Deb herself even helped as many guests as she could to the ceremony site by golf cart. You can pick all your own vendors, which we felt saved us a lot by being able to find what we want and for the price that worked for our budget. Check this place out. It will always hold a special place in our hearts and we intend to visit in the future.

Avalon Legacy is a hidden treasure! Debi Ladd is amazing and accommodated us in every thing we needed. Keep in mind at Avalon you have the ENTIRE facility to yourselves with a full day dedicated to decoration, setup, vendor delivery, etc. Our vendors, from DJ to photobooth and especially catering all loved the facility and Debi was on site all day assisting them and ourselves with anything needed. There are multiple options for the ceremony location and, unlike many outdoor venues, there is ample room on the wrap-around porch for a bad weather ceremony option. Our guests (123) loved the fire pit gazebos and sitting inside on the sofas to visit. Porch easily accommodated 15 table rounds with plenty of room to go. Highly recommend.

The venue is gorgeous and has many options for your ceremony space as well as a covered reception space.
If you are looking for a venue in the McKinney area, make sure you visit Avalon Legacy Ranch! You will not have to look anywhere else!!

Our daughter got married at ALR in December and we loved every bit of it! The people there are so nice and helpful - they truly want your day to be special and ours was. It's a beautiful place for weddings and gatherings. Thank ALR for making my daughter's day just perfect!

WOW…where to event start. This beautiful venue is not only incredibly intimate and special but it has the most wonderful people running it. Alee and Debbie were so helpful with literally every detail. I had NO idea all the tiny details that existed and they had an amazing packet ready with a whole check list to follow. (truly a life saver😂🙏🏻) We had a slight mishap with our first dance song and Mrs Debbie was ON it!! She came out so quick and fixed it like nothing happened. They have an entire storage room of stuff that you can use for decor and stands for signs as well which was really nice to have some extra stuff in case something gets spaced on. I could talk about the bridal sweet all day omg. 😍 For starters there is SO much space, there was roughly 15 of us getting ready up there and not once was it crowded. The pictures up there are to die for and there are endless plug ins for all of the things. There’s even two bathrooms up there!! I would pick this venue time and time again, it was worth every penny!

Good place, even better people
One year after my wedding, I am still reflecting on the kindness, hospitality, and professionalism of these people. Firstly, the space is as unique of a venue as you will find in the DFW area. It was a dream of my husband and I to be married in a home, and ALR was the superior (if not only) option by far. Debi's good humor and chill vibe hooked us, and Alee's quick and strategic thinking and commitment to excellence held us. I was a terrible bride; awful at planning, no vision whatsoever. Alee went above and beyond her duty, finalizing bookings & reservations with me every time I met with her. If it weren't for her, my wedding would've been us, a bootleg preacher and a stale bottle of beer. My ONLY regret was that I did not book her as my official coordinator. If I could do it all over again, I would have put my entire wedding (and my life, if I could) into her gentle, generous, and capable hands. If you can book Avalon, you should. The Ranch has everything you need.

Hidden gem!
Looking for a place that is not an hour outside of DFW? This venue is 15 minutes off 75 in McKinney and is seriously magical. EVERY guest was dumbfounded by the venue and we had a terrific time. Pictures do not do it justice. Perfect for a small to a medium-sized wedding and so intimate. Alee is so great to work with!

Avalon Legacy was a dream
I fell in love with Avalon back in September, when I saw them in a Bridal Show. I felt welcomed and not pressured to learn more about their venue. My (now) husband and I visited Avalon and immediately fell in love - not only with the venue, but with the women who run it as well! I felt like our vision and desire for the wedding was heard, and that we were not just another number to them. It also meant a lot that every time we met with Alee or Debbie, they told us how excited they were for our wedding! Our wedding absolutely did not go as planned (there was a TORRENTIAL downpour!) so we had to move everything inside, but the flow was effortless! Our wedding was absolutely perfect. I loved that Avalon has a built-in-plan-B in case of crazy weather, like we had! We could not have picked a more perfect venue! Every suggestion they made was lovely and in-line with our vision for our wedding. I am so grateful to have found Avalon, and even more grateful that we got married there! I would highly recommend Avalon Legacy Ranch for your venue!

Perfect Experience
I feel so lucky to have found this place and the people that run it. Our wedding was gorgeous and we felt at home the entire time. All of our family and guests commented on how beautiful the grounds were. And I loved the get-ready rooms. There are so many distinct areas of this property for photography, we did our engagement photos here as well. Staff went above and beyond, and I couldn't be happier with the communication I received. This venue also did a better job than any of the other ones I toured at making us feel special and cared for, not just another client. I still stay in touch with the staff today! I can't recommend this venue enough!

As long as you stay on top of Debi, making sure she writes things down (i.e. Payments , reservations) this venue is beautiful! They provide everything you could want as far as a venue is concerned. It was the first one we visited, and it had everything we could want. Plenty of spots for pictures, accommodations for elderly family members, plenty of indoor and outdoor spaces to use. An absolutely picturesque wedding venue! I would highly recommend it!

Amazing Avalon
Avalon Legacy Ranch is an amazing venue! We had our wedding in October 2023 and the weather was perfect. The staff is incredible - we highly recommend hiring Alee as your month of coordinator. She will go above and beyond for you. The venue itself is beautiful and requires minimal additional decor to make it look like a million bucks.

I can not imagine a more beautiful venue to have had our wedding at! The staff did a great job making sure the greenery was well maintained and perfect on our special day. The only complaint I have is that it was a little difficult at times to get a hold of Debbie to discuss certain details.

This venue is gorgeous and I received multiple compliments that it was the most beautiful venue they had ever seen. Which I completely agree on. The problem is that I had to repeatedly contact Debi to get any sort of response from her via email, or call. She even claimed to be out of two for two whole weeks, but never left an Out of Office up. I thought someone had run away with our money! We made multiple appointments with her to see the venue, working with her schedule and she repeatedly showed up late, or would try to leave completely before our meeting. I also strongly suggest getting everything in writing in the contract, as well as hiring a coordinator to help run everything. It's true that Debi is nice, but no amount of niceness can make up for the stress she caused the bride with her forgetfulness and complete disorganization.

I am so sorry that you were frustrated. There is nothing we want more than for our brides to be completely happy all along the process. We absolutely encourage all of our brides to get wedding planners. Weddings are major events! We make it our responsibility to make sure all the venue details are perfect on the day of your wedding and leave the planning up to the bride.
Many times the wedding planner does not want us to interfere while she is there with you, and so we discretely exit.
We were not prepared for how popular our venue would be when we first opened and have to put several new tools in place since last summer. We are so glad that you enjoyed your day and that your guests thought it was the most beautiful venue they had ever been too - and thank you for saying I am nice - I appreciate that.
