  I'm a Veil Bride!

  I didn’t realize I was into veils until I tried one on while wedding dress shopping. Then once I found my dream dress Charlotte’s hosted a trunk show with August Veils. I got to try on multiple veils to find the perfect one for my dress for my minimony and my bigger wedding. I loved the Bella veil for my minimony; it was timeless and retro with a satin edge. I loved the Stella veil for my bigger wedding dress; it was dramatic and covered in little pearls. I got both cleaned and preserved, but I wish I could live in my veils. They’re such fine material but so securely attached to the comb without excess material, and the comb was metal and big enough to stay very secure in my hair. I also got the Deanna Pearl pins for my hair decorations and used them for both weddings. Bethany was great to work with and helped make my dress-shopping experience wonderful and easy.

  Vintage Veil Restyling Wizard

  I feel so lucky to live in a city that has it's very own vintage veil expert! Bethany at August Veils brought my veil visions to life. After finding an antique cathedral length veil on Etsy, I loved so much about it but, needed help to make it realistically wearable. Bethany reshaped the internal structure to sit properly on my head and frame my face. She also installed sturdy clips. Despite the weight of such a long veil, it was comfortable & didn't budge. Most importantly, Bethany was extremely professional and very patient with my many questions. She taught me how to put on the veil and store it correctly. Her skill and guidance made what was initially an intimidating accessory into a totally wearable and show stopping part of my wedding day.

  Amazing!!!

  Andrea is amazing! She is very professional and has a great eye for alterations. She made me look and feel great in my wedding dress. There's no one else I would have trusted with such an important task! She also made me a beautiful veil. I would highly recommend August Veils to others.

  Andrea does amazing work!

  I can't say enough good things about Andrea. Right from the beginning I felt very comfortable with her, and confident that my dress would turn out beautifully. She is very responsive and easy to make appointments with. And not only does she do beautiful work but she's hilarious! I truly enjoyed my appointments with her. A lot of wedding planning can be stressful, but getting your dress altered with Andrea won't be! She may cost more than other seamstresses but she was worth every penny!

  There is a reason why Andrea is so highly rated. She is a WIZARD and can make even a funny lumpy body look rocking in a perfectly fitted dress. She even made me a specialized belt with the seed pearls she was able to take off my mother's wedding veil headpiece..... such a special touch that my mom and I will always treasure together! BOOK HER EARLY, her summer schedule fills up completely WAY ahead of time, so I would pretty much recommend setting up a fitting schedule with her as soon as you set your wedding date (don't waste time dress shopping first!). I was a little stressed about her timeline, having heard so many stories about how loooooong alterations would take, but she was confident and completely correct on getting my dress done with plenty of time and no need for re-dos. Her prices are COMPLETELY reasonable, as well. As an added bonus, she's super personable, friendly, and funny so it was easy to hang out with her during the fittings! I'm thrilled with how my dress turned out-- HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

My dress came in the first time in September, but it came in the wrong base color, so it was sent back to the manufacturer to fix, but my wedding was on November 11th and it wasn’t scheduled to come back until two weeks before my wedding date. When I ordered my dress, I knew that I wanted to add sleeves to the dress, but with the delay, I was concerned there would not be enough time.
  
  My dress came in on 10/31 and my first appointment for the fitting and adding sleeves was on 11/1 The team worked hard and fast to get my dress completed by 11/11. I could not believe how perfect my dress fit and how the sleeves that were added looked like they had always been there. It fit me like a glove. Both my mom and I talked about how grateful we were that we had contacted August Veils to schedule the fitting and alternations. We picked the right business to handle not only the rush job, but the complexity of the job.

  Andrea Hoyt of August Veils was probably my favorite wedding vendor to work with! After buying my dress at a sample sale, I needed a lot of work done to make it fit me. After my first appointment with Andrea, I was confident handing over my dress to her and her team (which was not the case with two other tailors I'd met with) and knew that she had the experience and knowledge to make it fit me perfectly. She was flexible and presented me with lots of options so I knew that the dress would turn out just how I imagined. She is fun to work with, was quick to respond, solved any concerns, and her prices are beyond reasonable for the outstanding service she provides. Not only did she alter my dress, but she was able to alter my mom's veil to a more modern style exactly how I asked (taking off the juliet cap and shortening the length), and she even pressed my dress. I feel so lucky to have worked with her and can't recommend her enough.

  These ladies are the best in the business!! I was very nervous when I was selecting where to take my wedding dress to be altered for obvious reasons. I definitely made the right choice by selecting Lei at CustomFit2U. They did an amazing job!! Plus Lei and Andrea are great ladies that made the whole experience really fun. I also received my viel and a flower from Andrea with August Veils. She did an amazing job and it really added a lot. If you are looking for someone for alterations or a Veil, I STRONGLY recommend Andrea (August Veils) and Lei (Custom Fit ToYou) since they are very detail oriented and do an amazing job!

  Andrea worked with me to make custom pieces for my hair and dress. I received soooo many compliments on how beautiful they were! She was also very flexible with my last minute time crunch. It was perfect and she was fun to work with.

  Long veil is worth it

  The one thing about my bridal look I KNEW I wanted was a long veil and this one did not disappoint! Purchased through Charlotte’s Wedding’s this veil stayed snug on my head even when I was certain the November wind was going to rip it out—it never budged!! Photographed beautifully and I felt like a proper bride with it

  Andrea is the best! She was incredibly flexible with my schedule, making it as painless as possible for me to travel in from Hood River for appointments. When I asked for restaurant recommendations to make a day of it, she took her time writing out her favorite local spots. I had a blast chatting with her and felt like I was in such good hands. She has tons of experience, confidence, and a real listening ear. I never felt pushed or pressured, but when I asked for her opinion she always had a strong one. She even thought of all the details like how to manage my clingy fabric knowing there is a mulch aisle runner at my venue. I can't wait to post pics in a few weeks after the big day.

I met her at Charlotte's Weddings and More when I was looking for my gown and being able to continue that relationship throughout the duration of the alterations relieved a lot of stress. Andrea's knowledge of the designers, what alterations can be made, and quick work made for easy appointments. She is kind and funny and great to work with.

  Katherine was amazing...I met her at a bridal show and was so impressed with her attention to detail and her personal relationships with her clients. When I met with her she was only interested in what I wanted for the wedding and we did two run throughs before the wedding day. On the big day she came to my venue early to make sure everything was running smoothly. She stayed during pictures to touch up my makeup and gave me tips for the camera as we went along. She was so genuine and an incredible makeup artist. I felt so beautiful on my wedding day and my husband, who doesn't like any makeup, thought I looked beautiful. Thanks Katherine! I would highly recommend her...she is worth the extra money!

My top half was absolutely swimming in my dress, she brought it in flawlessly. She also saved the day when my mail order veil was not at all what we had paid for. She quickly made a cut of fabric for us so we could do the applique on our own as planned, and my veil was GORGEOUS thanks to Andrea.
