Talented makeup and hair stylist for diverse looks

I am so glad I went with Audrey as my wedding hair and beauty vendor! I had a fusion Indian-Chinese wedding that required an immense amount of coordination/outfit changes (including a 4 a.m. start time!) and she was amazing at handling all of it - incredibly professional and talented at what she was doing. She did an excellent job with my hair (including working with extensions) and she gave me natural, beautiful makeup that matched my colorful outfits but still felt like "me". In fact, I loved being in the makeup chair with her as my calming downtime in between events.

I also had a diverse set of family members and bridesmaids (East Asian, South Asian, white, black) and needed someone who was able to work with all types of looks. Her team delivered, and Audrey was exceptionally good at giving them feedback and direction in real time to make sure everyone was happy with their results.

I cannot recommend Audrey enough. She will make everyone important in your life feel fabulous on your special day!

During my extensive wedding research I came across a article that said to have your make up trial done the same day as your engagement pictures. Finding a make up artist was extremely difficult. One because I don’t wear make up and two because I wanted make up done for all my diverse skin tone bridesmaids, my mom, Marlon’s Mom, and myself. I called and emailed multiple people. Finally a artist who was not available for my date recommended three other artists. That is where I came across Audrey Bethards. At first glance her website has make up artists of all colors and ethnicity. That is what drew me in. I scheduled my trial and engagement pictures which were amazing as you can see. Then came the big day. Mrs Bethards and her second stylist provided make up services for 8 people and hair services for 3 people. They blew us alllllllllll away. Take a look!!!!!!!!

I hired Audrey for my wedding for both my mother and myself and she did an amazing job....she is seriously talented and knows how to make someone look gorgeous and feel beautiful. She has the largest collection of high end makeup and hair products I have ever seen!!!
I cannot say enough good things about Audrey....her work is simply flawless and she is a true professional. I would definitely work with her again in a heartbeat!!!

Audrey is a true artist when it comes to hair and makeup. She addressed my concerns and did an amazing job with my hair and makeup and our bridesmaids hair and makeup. She is a pro with hairstyles and will not disappoint. I had two previews done with other MUA/hairstylist and was unhappy with the results, I then found Audrey and from the moment I met her I knew she was an expert. I wanted my hair curled and she did it in such way that it lasted the whole night. For my makeup she used products that worked on my oily face and she gave me tips on how to keep the makeup throughout the whole night. She brought Ms. Andrea to help with our bridesmaids and they started and finish all of our makeup with no delays and just in time for pictures. I cannot say enough of how happy I am with Audrey and her team.

Fantastic artist! Ms. Bethards did my rehearsal and wedding day makeup and I received so many compliments. She was extremely flexible, listened to my concerns, and made me feel extremely confident on one of the happiest, yet one of the most stressful, days of my life.

Audrey is a master at her profession. She is creative, current, and extremely talented. She made my daughter and me look and feel so beautiful on my daughter's wedding day. She works until the last detail of hair or make up is absolutely perfect. Never rushes. I would strongly recommend her services to anyone who desires to look and feel extraordinary on any special occasion.

Audrey was superb all throughout. She was so prompt in getting back to me ever since I first contacted her. She was also very patient with me since I have so many questions before deciding to enter into a contract with her. It did not go well with the first makeup artist I contacted so I wanted to make sure it doesn’t go wrong the second time around. Audrey was able to answer all my questions and during the trial and the wedding day, she’s always upbeat and has that unique ability to make you feel gorgeous not just with her impeccable makeup artist and hair styling skills but just how she deals with you. I could not pick a particular adjective to describe that trait. Suffice it to say she’s just great in what she does! So glad I went with her!

8. I’m speaking in behalf of all my bridal party. Audrey Bethards and her team of artist worked her magic on the day of my wedding. I love looking at my wedding pictures and relive the day. Everyone looked so lovely and gorgeous. I do not know how she managed to create different hair and makeup looks for all 10 bridesmaids. I was a bit worried about me being emotional and destroying my makeup but I didn’t have to worry one bit on how I looked on the day of my wedding. I looked and felt fresh and pretty all throughout. My friend who’s also planning her wedding is considering Audrey to be her makeup artist and hair stylist. Thank you, Audrey. You’re one of the reasons my dream wedding came true. Thank you for your kindness and professionalism!

If the last thing you want to worry about on your wedding day is how you look, then Audrey is a no-brainer. From the consultation to changes along the way and the day itself, she did a spectacular job at every turn. She worked wonders with me, my mothers, and bridesmaids.

All of our guests (and even strangers at the hotel!) made a special note to tell us how beautiful everyone looked--one person asked if it was a competition for the most gorgeous wedding party and another lady thought my mom was the Maid of Honor : ) We would have looked like clowns without Audrey! Skin was flawless, eyes popped, and our hair--both up and down--was perfection!

We were all so appreciative of her talents and could not have imagined things going so smoothly without her there. She was always patient, open, professional and a perfectionist in the best sense! I'll never forget how relaxed and special she made the big day.

We chose Audrey after seeing her work at our friend's wedding. She is fabulous at bringing the bride's vision to life, and in our case, two brides! During our trial we came with photos of our dresses and vague ideas of what we wanted. Audrey was able to translate our incongruous thoughts into perfectly matched looks for each of us.

Our bridal party was small, but Audrey worked in tandem with her assistant to handle hair and make-up for two brides, two bridesmaids, as well as one mother, one aunt, and one grandmother! Each person's make-up was flawless and appropriate for our five o'clock wedding. We took pictures around DC in the early afternoon, so our hair and make-up was done earlier in the day, but it lasted well into the night and nary a hair fell out of place! It was exactly what we imagined.

Working with Audrey was a pleasure and I have already recommended her to friends!

Audrey Bethards is a wonderful hair artist and a great beauty advisor. Last week, I got an appointment with her; she arrived promptly on time to my location. She suggested three different hair styles, which were perfect for my hair, face and personality. She is really nice, and I am very happy with her punctuality, kindness and outstanding service.

If anyone is looking for a magical beauty experience, choose her. She is one of the best artists in the Washington DC area. I am very conscious about my looks and appearance and emphasis more on my looks at the time of a special event. Whenever I want to look my best I always prefer Audrey to do my makeup and hair. I have used her services a few times and every time I feel I look more beautiful than the last time. So happy with her services!

Recently, Audrey did my hair style and little bit of training; she is not only a best artist but also a great beauty advisor. I was quite confused and concerned about how to style my hair. But she gave her precious time and suggested me a few different styles and techniques. Needless to say, she styled my hair on perfection. One wonderful experience!

I was searching a hair and makeup artist for my engagement. I searched on Google about hair and makeup artist in the DC area and found Audrey’s website. I read about her extensive services, and I also lover the samples of her work she had on her website. Every girl on her website was looking very beautiful and amazing, and I made an appointment with her. Audrey was recommended to me through my photographer. A good friend of mine who is a very successful, professional make up artist could no longer do my makeup for my October 1 nuptials. As a woman of color, I was very concerned about makeup matching my skin tone. I also hate "bridal" make up. I wanted to be glamorous and not look like just another bride.

I met with Audrey for a trial and I found her demeanor, warmth and honesty to be refreshing. Further, Audrey is unbelievably talented. When she told me I didn't need airbrushing, I knew I was sold. She wants you to look your best and will not sell you on a method just because you believe you need it. She will also take her time, stop and show you step by step to make sure you are on board with your look. When I decided my trial makeup needed to be softened (not because of her talents), she adjusted accordingly for my 2nd trial and wedding. She is an amazing listener.

Audrey also did my bridal makeup, my mother's makeup and hair, grandmother and maid of honor. We were all magazine cover worthy. Audrey is of immense talent. Combined with my top notch photographer, I had a memorable day. Pay the money and go with Audrey.

I cannot stress enough how important it is to find the right beauty services for your special day! Everything else could crumble around you and the way you feel about your bridal look will carry you through the day. It is so important to look and feel like the bride you want to be and Audrey MAKES that happen. She's very willing to work with anything you want and, belive me, she can do ANYTHING. I have fine hair in a bob cut and she PUT IT UP and made me look like I had long, thick hair even without extensions. My makeup had never looked so beautiful. I wholeheartedly recommend Audrey. She is the best you can get!

I don't think that Audrey could have been more lovely or have done a more spectacular job on myself and my favorite girls for my wedding make up. We looked like ourselves just with a bit more "glow"! No clown stuff and nothing that I'll look back in 10 yrs. and truly regret. Just accentuating features by making our make up a work of art. Our make up lasted all night and wasn't uncomfortable or even something you noticed you had on at all. I adored Audrey and my girls did too & would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone. AMAZING.

Ooh my goodness, where could I ever start! Words aren’t enough to express my gratitude to Audrey’s services for my wedding. She’s heaven sent. I wanted my bridal look to be laidback yet has a touch of a classic and elegant bride, in fact I wanted all! She managed to exceed my expectations. I’m glad I found her. Thanks also to a friend of mine who referred her to me. Aside from her A-list talent, she is so easy to be with. I felt like I’m with someone I’ve known for a long time. I don’t mean to be overly gushing on how great Audrey is, but she is! She answered all my questions and from the very first beginning she made me feel completely safe! If ever I need someone to do my hair and makeup, it’s definitely it is going to be Audrey. I won’t settle for anyone else. I’m just so happy with how beautiful I looked on my wedding day and the pictures just a dream cone true!

Audrey was wonderful.
We worked through several hair trials and adjusted based on what I wanted, what suited me and what worked with the dress.
She is equally amazing with makeup.
