Perfect mix of creative soul and operational excellence
Jessica was the perfect wedding planner and guide for our wedding celebration. We chose to work with Jessica because she weaves together critical operational excellence with creative soul. It was also important to us to work with someone who had diverse couples in their portfolio, which Jessica did.
Over the course of the planning process, Jessica guided us with grace on the big decisions and gave her expert advice along the way. We had a complicated estate wedding with a full build out and packed weekend of activities. And during the day we didn’t have to worry about a moment - everything was taken care of down to the detail. Jessica brought just as much expertise to our overall design and vision as she did to making sure the chefs had the right equipment.
Maybe most importantly was the heart that Jessica put into our wedding and our partnership. On planning calls, we shared our most sensitive hopes and fears. We laughed, we cried. Jessica even cried when she saw me in my dress for the first time. Jessica made us feel loved and seen. I can’t imagine going through this process without her.

6 weeks to create the dream :)
After being engaged for almost a year, while 6 months pregnant, my husband and I suddenly decided we were ready to tie the knot... fast. I wanted a full-blown estate wedding, 3 day weekend extravaganza. Everyone I reached out to (planners, vendors, etc.) basically told me I was nuts and it wasn't possible in such short notice, especially in the post Covid wedding boom. Insert: Jessica. She had space in her calendar and was not only up for the challenge, I think she enjoyed it. ;) Within 2 weeks we landed my DREAM venue. Like... beyond. Leaving us 6 weeks to plan everything. Jessica went above and beyond in the delivery. Almost every vendor was a personal referral from her. And they were all incredible! Everything was perfect. Cliché, but I mean it when I say that. Not a single thing was missed. Not a single thing was less than what I dreamt it could be. Even on a tight schedule. (I'm talking... the day of the wedding she had a delayed delivery arrive at her house and her husband drove it to the venue in literally just the knick of time.) There were a couple hiccups during the planning process and Jessica handled them like a pro; I didn't even know about them until she had it handled. My wedding planning experience was a delight! A joy! Soooo magical and fun. And the wedding itself... life changing. For my husband and I. For our family and friends who attended. Even the vendors there were commenting on how beautiful and magical the event was. I don't even know how to really sum it up into words here. Jessica set a new standard for my life. My standards for who I work with in... anything... have risen exponentially. I didn't even know it was possible to feel so supported. To have my vision not only understood, but up-leveled. To have it executed with such competence and clear communication. Suffice to say... I highly recommend choosing Jessica for your special day. Jessica -- you are an integral piece of our family story, forever engraved in my heart.-

Art & Soul Events planned the best post-elopement party for us! Well, it was more than a party... more like an entire celebratory weekend. Since my husband and I live in San Francisco, we relied heavily on Jessica's knowledge and connections in the Los Angeles area. We had no issues in planning remotely, which was a huge relief. She guided us every step of the way and knew the perfect locations for our welcome party and Sunday farewell event. As a planner, Jessica is meticulous, responsive, thoughtful and an absolute pleasure to work with. Her ideas truly made the entire weekend feel whole. We are SO thankful. Highly recommend!! -

Flawless in every respect
We got connected to Jessica through a good friend so we knew we would be in good hands but despite those high expectations, Jessica exceeded in all respects.
Every phase of the planning and execution was flawless. From ideation and design, to planning the guest experience, to sweating the details (hello napkin colors), to running the show expertly on the day(s) of the event. Flawless!
The wedding was everything we wanted it to be and more and it wouldn't have been possible without Jessica. Cannot recommend highly enough. -

Attentive, Artistic, Authentic Planner
I could write a dissertation about why Jessica Carrillo was the perfect planner for us, but no one wants to read that. To start, it is important for us to work people who share our values, and Jessica embodies those values. Please check out her instagram because she does a great job explaining how we asked her to plan us a surprise ceremony based on a framework we gave her. She took our vision, and she brought it to life. I appreciated the way she communicates, her passion, and her style. I loved that she asks questions and gives her advised so that our day was prioritized. All of the other vendors have expressed how great it was to work with Jessica, and I completely agree. If I need to have another event, I will definitely be calling her. -

Could not have been happier!
I am writing this review as the MOB, who lived 2,000 miles away from our bride & groom during our planning process. Jessica was a dream come true, and creatively sourced everything we wanted (and dreamed of). I never could have managed without her. Her relationships with all the professionals run deep, and she was able to find the exact people who could carry out my daughter's vision. I also found it remarkable how Jessica helped my daughter create the story of her wedding, without imposing. The wedding was PERFECT and totally reflected the creative spirit of our beautiful couple.
We also called upon Jessica to work a Double Header by having her organize a farewell "Pool Party" the next day at the same venue. She flipped everything, and orchestrated an entirely new vibe, menu, and setting. Everybody was happy, relaxed and delighted.
I know how much Jessica had to do behind the scenes to make our two events so joyful and carefree for all of us, and I am so grateful. We have the best forever memories of a wonderful day. -

Amazing & Detail oriented!!
Throughout everything that happened in 2020 Jessica was extremely flexible and accommodating through a postponement & venue change and was such a support in finally getting us to the finish line. Attention to detail was very important to me and Jessica was such a dream and I could trust that she would not let anything fall through the cracks. Our wedding day was perfect and we definitely owe a massive part of that to Jessica! -

Made wedding planing so much easier
Jessica was instrumental in helping us create exactly what we wanted. Although we had an zoom wedding we wanted it to be meaningful, beautiful, and socially distant. We got all of that and more. She got our aesthetic right away and that was a big help in finding vendors and connecting us to the right people. I highly recommend working we her to help you create the wedding you want. -

Absolutely amazing. Jessica is a gem! Art&Soul Events made our dreams come true.
Jessica (owner/ lead designer of Art&Soul Events) is a creative powerhouse. She is incredibly organized, efficient, artistic, genuine, and enthusiastic. She did everything she could to help understand what our vision was and then executed it more flawlessly than we could have imagined. The entire vendor team that she compiled was professional and incredibly talented. Most importantly, however, she made my life as the bride SO EASY. Because of her investment in our vision and track record of unique/soulful/beautiful weddings, I trusted her judgment and appreciated her guidance. We did the complete planning package, and I wouldn't have done it any other way. We felt supported and guided throughout the whole process, which made planning a CA wedding from the east coast manageable. This was especially important in the last 6-8 weeks before the wedding! Jessica went above and beyond. We are so grateful that we had the chance to work with such a wonderful planner (and person!). We wish we could do it again! ;)-

Absolutely the BEST!
Hiring Jessica to plan the wedding was one of the best decisions we made. We absolutely cannot recommend her enough! We worked with Jessica over a period of about 9 months to plan our wedding and she made the entire process manageable and stress-free. From our first meeting, we immediately noticed how incredibly organized and detail-oriented she was, and that she leads with both character and heart. From that point on we knew that our wedding would be in great hands.
One of the most difficult things about planning a wedding in Los Angeles is just the sheer amount of vendors that are available, making it extremely difficult to make smart choices in a timely manner. With Jessica, that wasn’t an issue at all. She recommended the BEST vendors, and all of them top-notch - a testament to the depth and quality of relationships she has built in the wedding services industry. More importantly, Jessica takes it to another level, recommending vendors that fit our style, personality, and aesthetics perfectly, highlighting her amazing interpersonal skills and attention / focus on the client. She took a 1000 different pieces of us as a couple and curated them specifically to our love story by translating them into a perfectly planned, and seamless event!
Our friends kept telling us how monstrously stressed we were going to be 1-2 months before the wedding. That never happened, everything was easy going. Jessica had full command of all the vendor correspondence, schedules, venue requirements, payments, gratuities, set-up, load-in, etc etc. And our vendors also love working with her, and we heard repeatedly on how we'd made a great choice in selecting Jessica as our wedding planner.
As for our actual wedding day, it was an absolute dream come true and exceeded ALL our expectations!! We will be forever grateful to Jessica for giving us the wedding of our dreams!
My new advice to couples getting married: (1) If it's within your budget, you should definitely hire a wedding planner. It will make the process of "getting married" much less torturous for you, and it's the highest "value-to-dollars-spent", and (2) If you're getting married in the greater Los Angeles area you should hire Jessica! -

Best decision we made--cannot recommend enough!
How did we hear about Jessica? We asked our venue to share the name of their favorite wedding planner. Hers was first on their list. Partnering up with Jessica was the single best decision we made in planning for our wedding. After just a few conversations, she understood what we were going for and helped us bring it to life. She was patient with us when we changed our mind about things, and helped keep us on schedule, even when we were (often) distracted at work. Her reputation led us to great vendors (who naturally want to work with a pro), but she never tried to steer us towards anyone who didn't match what we were aiming for at the wedding. Of course you never really quite know what to expect until the big day itself, and you only get one shot. Given what it had been like to work with Jessica in the months leading up to the wedding, we knew it would go swimmingly. But then she managed to exceed even our highest expectations. Everything came together perfectly. Our wedding wasn't huge by any stretch (~120 guests) but the amount of coordination required for an event that size in the California high desert is no joke. Jessica executed without skipping a beat, up before dawn and the last one to leave the party at the end of a long night. She gave us the best thing a wedding planner can offer: a worry-free wedding day. We spent no time at all fretting about the dozens and dozens of things that could go wrong and all of our time with family and friends. And we trusted her completely to make last-minute decisions on our behalf while we were spending those priceless hours with loved ones. Cannot recommend her enough--we owe her a beautiful wedding and the lifelong memory of a very special day indeed. -

The glue that pulled/held together every aspect of our wedding!
Jessica was a dream-come-true planner. She brought a ton of experience, guidance, and connections that helped us create a wonderful wedding, and was on top of *every* *single* *detail*. And when it comes to planning a wedding... there are about 50,000 details to be on top of! An Organized, professional wedding planner created an amazingly Fun, Whimsical, and Stress free Wedding Day!
Jessica did an amazing job planning and coordinating our 2019 wedding at the Ahwahnee Hotel in Yosemite National Park. Even though it was her first wedding at this venue and we couldn’t manage a site visit with her, she knocked it out of the park. She helped us find some key vendors, including the DJ and florist, planned the design and did all the vendor communication, and coordinated the day of. The wedding was beautiful and magical, and everything worked wonderfully, thanks to the hard work she put in. Our only regret is that we didn’t start working with her sooner!
We found Jessica through chance, when we saw her mentioned in a New York Times article on what to do when a natural disaster destroys your wedding venue. She’d helped a number of fellow wedding planners during the Woolsey Fire in 2018, and we thought that her resourcefulness and calmness under pressure were just what we needed.
It was a pleasure to work with her throughout the process. We did a couple of in person meetings, but mostly chatted over video chat and email. She offers a number of packages, and we used the design package (as opposed to the full planning package that includes a venue search and all major vendors). She was kind enough to include a DJ search for us, as we had already found a venue and photographer.
We were impressed by her professionalism, her ability to get things done, her organization and also by how much fun it was to work with her. She made the process of planning and executing a wedding so much less daunting. I was most impressed, however, with her on the day of the wedding. I was so happy that I could truly enjoy my day, and Jessica did SO MUCH WORK behind the scenes to make that possible. She anticipated my every need (flat shoes, glass of water etc) and handled any and all issues with vendors and guests with boundless energy and grace. I am so thankful to have worked with her and I cannot imagine a wedding without her.

Jessica Carrillo has all the qualities of the perfect wedding planner. She's highly organized and very detail oriented. She thinks of and plans for every little detail of the wedding. Her vast experience gives informed advice and guidance. And she keeps you on track with the planning including making decisions and budgets. She's got an airtight timeline that she works specifically into what you need. She works easily with your creative. We had a very specific vision of what the wedding was going to look like and feel like and she helped us realize our dream of the perfect one-of-a-kind wedding from working with the venue to florist to the photo booth . So if you have a special vision, she the person that can help pull it all off. She's a great communicator with you, the vendors and all the family & friends. She's very responsive to everyone's questions and needs and every single person feels heard. We can't recommend her enough. We've already recommended her to two good friends that recently got engaged.

Creative, detail-oriented super-planner!
My husband and I were fortunate enough to work with Jessica on planning our wedding in spring of 2019 and we could not be happier with our experience!
Planning a wedding can be a stressful and confusing process but having Jessica guide us through each phase took a huge weight off of our shoulders and we could not have done it without her. We had a particular vision for our wedding and she totally got it.
From day one she was clear, organized, and educated us along the way so we could make the best decisions possible to make our vision come to life while staying within budget.
She connected us with amazing vendors and was always open to new ideas along the way.
Our wedding exceeded our expectations and was truly a stress free day full of laughter and happy tears. Some of our guests even wrote us thank you notes for having the best wedding ever (we are biased, but agree!), and commented on what an amazing team of people we had on site. She was so great with our families and her attention to detail even while juggling a million things is seriously impressive. The best experience
Hiring Jessica was the best decision I made for our wedding day. From the first time we chatted on the phone for a consultation I knew she would be great. She handled so many details that I had not even thought of. Everything was communicated to our vendors, timelines were followed and the day went so smoothly. I even had vendors telling me at the end of the night that she was the best coordinator they have seen in a long time. She was calm and understanding of all my needs, even if they were silly. I don't know how brides get through this experience without help, and Jessica is the best. -

Your new best wedding planner/designer/therapist/friend
Jessica Carrillo is the best of the best in her field. She brings so much care, expertise, thoughtfulness, warmth, and love into what she does.
On a personal level, she will bring you authenticity, realness, tender conversations, and dream big with you. I was not someone that ever cared about weddings. It felt like a huge money suck. But it was important to my partner, so I was along for the ride. But through some initial envisioning chats with Jess, I suddenly started to see how it could actually feel like "us" and then I started getting REALLY excited about all the tiny details. And Jess was right there with us.
She is excited and fueled by the weddings she creates and will be your cheerleader every step of the way. She tunes into what you're really after and helps carve away at it until it gets even the most pessimistic bride (hello, it me) counting down for the big day.
On the technical details she is a rockstar. She has thought of things that would never cross your mind. Her connections and recommendations are THE BEST. You can tell she puts the same care she brings to her couples to her working relationships with the venues and vendors-- the team's respect and admiration for her really shows and it creates a warm, supportive environment where everyone is on the same page and part of the same camp. Yay!
Leading up to the wedding, she was fully centered on us... even mediating a few tense conversations between my partner and I over the MIL's needs (lol). During the wedding weekend, she created the most magical time of our lives. She set everyone up for success and to have a great time. She thought of the teeniest details that helped people feel taken care of.
In the end, she saved us so much time, money, and energy by bringing us her expertise and recommendations. We didn't need to search high & low for everything- I trusted her and am so glad I did. Everyone she recommended was beyond exceptional.
I could not imagine a better investment for my "favorite weekend ever" than hiring Jessica as our wedding planner & designer. She made me a believer in the specialness of weddings. Now the only sadness I have is that our planning sessions are over-- they were so special and one of the most fun times in my life. Can't recommend hiring Jessica and her team enough! Jess was our wedding fairy godmother!
Jessica was an absolute life-saver in the planning and execution of our wedding. She was recommended to me by friends and once I saw photos of her past weddings, I was convinced she was the wedding fairy godmother for us! She and I met over mexican food for our first meeting and from the very beginning, she was warm, professional and easy to talk to. Jess had really great recommendations for vendors and was a lifesaver in helping me find a florist when my original vendor wasn't available anymore. My now-husband had an idea to surprise me with a special musical performance on the day of our wedding and Jess was able to help him navigate and execute the singing surprise without me finding out anything. When our wedding weekend arrived, I was blissfully unaware of any hiccups or issues because Jess and her team handled them without a hitch. I didn't realize that leading up to the wedding ceremony, we had a crazy wind storm that was blowing everything over because Jess was cool as a cucumber. She made the stressful parts of wedding planning more enjoyable and always made us feel supported in our decisions. Our families and bridal party agreed that Jess was a wonderful addition to our wedding and we will continue to recommend Art & Soul Events to all our friends and family in the future. -

Finding Jessica was the key to creating our perfect wedding, especially because we didn’t know what our perfect wedding would look like when we first started planning! Jessica helped us nail down our particular aesthetic, and then expertly executed it. Her recommendations for vendors were spot-on and she assembled a team of true creative experts.
She made sure that every detail was taken care of, and she was so responsive when we came to her with questions and concerns.
We also quickly discovered that weddings are filled with complicated family dynamics and Jessica provided lots of support with neutral, unbiased advice. With her support, our wedding flowed smoothly and beautifully!

My approach to wedding planning is extremely lax so finding a high caliber professional to conduct the overall vision and design was crucial. My family and I spoke to a couple wedding planners before Jessica, but each seemed a bit cookie cutter which left us unsatisfied. I was getting married in the greater Palm Springs area and wanted to bring in a professional from a more creative and larger metro city such as Los Angeles or New York City.
I was referred to Art and Soul Events by a friend who is a photographer in the wedding industry and I immediately felt a much more bespoke and tailored connection with Jessica in our introductory phone call. In our first conversation, Jessica was extremely candid, forward, but very kind when saying that a tropical vibe was hot and trendy two years ago but was now played out and she instantly won my heart and trust.
It took 6 months to plan the wedding and I felt 100% confident to hand the reigns over to her for full creative direction and vendor recommendation. Jessica also had quite a bit of patience in the very beginning to really sit me down to nail my personal style before moving forward at full speed. She had an excellent process of showing me different options via photos and narrowing into my style and aesthetic by process of elimination.
By the end of this entire process, I felt like I was texting a close friend when it came to high priority communication items that we needed to touch base on. For the actual day of my wedding, myself, my family, and wedding party could enjoy every moment absolutely stress free. Jessica not only excelled in creative direction, putting together the most beautiful aesthetic that truly reflected my personality as well as my fiance's, but was also a grand master at logistics.
I've never been one to dream of my wedding day, nor scan the Pinterets boards for ideas, but after having the wedding that Jessica created - it truly became a magical dream of mine that I never knew I had. -

Jessica was a rockstar wedding planner. We looked at several planners and knew right after talking with her that Jessica understands how to plan a wedding that matches the couple. Planning a wedding has so many nuanced details and decisions to make that it quickly gets overwhelming---and Jessica did ours on a tight timeline (5 months to pull off a destination wedding). Jessica's experience and attitude helped us get through it all. We were impressed with how she was able to guide us in decision-making and help offer her expertise when we had multiple things that needed to be figured out quickly. We appreciated when Jessica respectfully brought up something we were planning that she didn't think would work well --that's what we wanted from a planner. Someone who would listen to us and help our vision come to life but also be honest with us so we didn't shoot ourselves in the foot. Jessica was always accessible from day one and then kicked it into overdrive as the event approached. We will forever be grateful for the extra time and effort she put into our event and all the crazy she dealt with in aligning all of our vendors. There was an insane amount of logistics and everything went off without a hitch the day off...BRAVO! She made us feel like the most special couple on earth, but getting know know her a bit, we are sure this is how she makes every one of her couples feel. We have no reservations recommending Jessica for your most special day. -

We found Jessica after seeing her work at our friends wedding. After witnessing her amazing work and extreme care firsthand, we knew that we would be lucky to have her as part of our wedding team. Planning a wedding is hard...so why do it alone? There are so many details that go into the big day, unless you're on your 3rd or 4th marriage, there's no way to know them all and you don't want to find out the hard way. Jessica, the owner of Art and Soul, knows everything you want your wedding planner to know and more importantly knows everything you don't.
She's organized and focused and kept us on track from start to finish. Most importantly, she helped calm my nerves and kept spirits high when I got overwhelmed along the way. When it feels daunting and scary you want to have an expert on your side to make you feel better, that's Jessica. We stumbled upon Art & Soul Events from a blog entry Jessica posted about how much she would love to work on a wedding at our venue, the Paramour Estate in Silverlake, and my mom and I instantly felt comfortable when we hopped on the phone for an interview. We could tell that Jessica was someone who would take care of business and get the job done, and though it was a risk to bring in someone inexperienced with this complicated venue, we felt that she was up to the task.
Although we didn't engage Jessica for design services, her portfolio of work proved that our aesthetics would align and that we could trust her vendor suggestions--all of which were spot on (personalities and service offerings were top notch!). As architects and designers, my (now) husband and I had a very specific vision for our day, and Jessica and her team did not disappoint in executing everything day-of!
Jessica was a BEAST at responding quickly to any and all questions we had throughout the planning process, and her planning tools and checklists (though daunting at times) were extremely thorough and ensured we would not forget a single detail. As our day rapidly approached and our stress levels reached new heights, Jessica was there to walk us through every step of the wedding day logistics and made it a point to check in about what our biggest stress of the moment was, so she could help alleviate and resolve any issues.
Needless to say, our wedding day felt absolutely flawless, and our friends and family had an incredible time. I cannot thank Jessica enough for organizing all the moving parts to ensure our day ran smoothly, and I'm actually a little bummed I live on the East Coast, because I owe her a cocktail or two for doing such a wonderful job behind the scenes! -

When we began our wedding planning process we were sure we could do it ourselves. We are really organized people that work in entertainment and have administrative backgrounds and stage management backgrounds. While all of that helped us throughout the process, having a wedding planner proved to be just as essential as having the food at our wedding!
Working with Jessica was an absolute dream! Her vision, organization, connections to the most high quality and unique vendors made our wedding planning process feel like it was really about us as a couple. We were tired of scrolling through Pinterest. We wanted a wedding that really felt like us. Jessica made that possible by providing great ideas for design, details and ways to get creative while staying on budget. We had a lot of specific ideas and wants: traditional Jewish pre-ceremony and Ceremony, Spanish style food, including my Mexican heritage, and generally making sure this grand event felt comfortable and intimate even if we were planning on 200 guests.
Our venue came with an on site coordinator, but Jessica made sure that they were executing everything the way that we wanted. Having Jessica by your side the day of our wedding will make it so you can be so present for all of the little moments that make the day so special. That feeling is something you can't pay for. We are so grateful to Jessica for that gift.

I wholeheartedly and without reservation recommend Jessica to any bride. She was so on top of EVERYTHING (and this is coming from a type A planner of a bride) and I felt completely safe in her hands. Only hire Jessica if you want someone awesome. If you're thinking to yourself, "I'd like to hire Jessica, but I only kinda want someone awesome", she may not be for you. Make a list of the traits you want out of your wedding planner, Jessica ticks all the boxes.
She's great at understanding and working with family dynamics and strong personalities. She was outstanding at executing our vision and most importantly helped us stand our ground for the things that mattered to us when parents didn't necessarily want or understand.
Its also worth mentioning our wedding was 175 people and was pulled off in 8 weeks...at a venue without running water, no kitchen, and had never had a wedding. From the beginning, we put our trust in Jessica and we were rewarded by doing so with the best day of our lives. -

Jessica of Art & Soul Events is seriously a dream come true! We initially found her on Pinterest (crazy I know) when I found photos of a wedding she had done that had previously at our wedding venue near Joshua Tree. We completely fell in love with the look and vibe of that wedding and knew we had to reach out to see if she might be available to help with the design and coordination of ours. From the initial coffee date, we knew that she would be the best investment we would make to pull off the desert wedding of our dreams.
Throughout our entire wedding planning journey, Jessica consistently kept us on track and on point - whether it was with scheduling our vendors and booking our rentals on time or helping us make sure we stayed true to our vision despite some changes to our overall color palate late in the game.
Fast forward to the week of our wedding when the weather forecast called for 50 mph winds during the setup of our ceremony and reception. We began to get concerned about what would happen with pieces of our decor such as the place cards and sage wedding favors on the tables and our awesome neon sign but Jessica and her assistant Shane completely handled the situation and pulled off the most beautiful wedding we could ever ask for. Its been 3 weeks since our wedding day and our family and friends are STILL posting photos and talking about how beautiful and perfect the day was and it couldn't have been possible without the guidance and support of Jessica and her team. We can't thank Jessica enough and will definitely recommend her services to all of our wedding planning friends! -

Jessica was with us every step of the way as we coordinated our Art Deco dream of a wedding- her experience is invaluable!! Time after time, she would make suggestions and adjustments that had never occurred to us, but made everything flow effortlessly on the day of. We would have been utterly lost without her. Jessica from Art & Soul Events was nothing short of amazing! She helped us pull off our dream wedding (a 3-day event in the middle of a northern California redwood forest :) We had some grand visions for our big day…and before hiring Jessica, we didn't even know if half of them were possible. But once we hired Art & Soul Events and met with Jessica for the first time, she immediately put us at ease. She knows what she's doing, and it shows! She's super detail oriented, has a stylish eye for aesthetics, and she's not afraid to tell you whether something will or will not work. Also, she asked us questions like, "What's the thing that's stressing you out the most right now?"…then tried to address it. In the midst of general wedding craziness, it meant the world to us that someone thought to ask us that question :)
Cut to our actual wedding weekend, and Jessica was working all sorts of magic. She was the glorious glue that tied it all together. She collaborated with all our vendors, made sure everything flowed like it should, checked in with us at well-timed moments to see if we needed anything. She even magically appeared with 2 glasses of water when we needed a drink the most, and made sure we got to eat at the reception. Jessica saw to every detail in a way we couldn't have done on our own, and having her there allowed us to focus on enjoying our day. Special side note: I'm not saying Jessica is a mind reader :)…but in all seriousness, on the morning of the wedding, I remember hurriedly / vaguely mentioning to her how I wanted a particular setup to look at the reception...and when I later saw it, it looked EXACTLY how I had envisioned / wanted it. I'm telling you…magic! :)

So normally when you're asked to do a survey, sometimes you're like, "It was fine. I'll give it FIVE STARS all the way down. Whatever. Done in 10 seconds? Done." But this is one of those rare cases where you pay attention and you give FIVE STARS all the way down because YOU MUST! Jessica and her team were amazing and absolutely integral for my dream wedding to come true! My fiance and I initially tried planning the wedding ourselves, but when both of us have full time jobs (on top of me finishing school) it got overwhelming pretty quickly and that's how we happened upon Art & Soul Events on Offbeat Bride. Let me tell you, I practically reached "pulling my hair out" levels of stressed out, but Jessica was always professional and super kind and had my back. She also has a super stylish and unique vision that inspired us to really go for our dream brunch, tea-time inspired wedding with a Nerf gun fight instead of a first dance and a caricature artist instead of a photobooth. From the moment we spit-balled ideas on the phone, to her making sure my husband and I were fed during the wedding, to the final decoration being packed away at the end of the wedding, Jessica was our guardian angel. No joke.
One CRUCIAL advice I'd offer future brides: REACH OUT TO JESSICA FROM THE BEGINNING! She is very accommodating to whatever help you need (e.g., partial planning vs full planning). I also say start planning with Jessica because her recommended vendors are top notch. I could go on and on about the individual vendors she introduced us to as well.

Where do I begin?! Jessica is absolutely amazing. I don't think I will be able to express here just how truly great she is. We hired Jessica as a month of coordinator, but she was so much more than that. We met Jessica and immediately felt a connection with her; we felt that she really understood us. Over the course of several months we met with her twice to discuss things and she was always very knowledgeable, professional, and had great ideas. It was clear right away that she knows what she is doing, and has a creative, genuine soul.
My wife and I did all of the decorations and flowers ourselves, and used several family members to deliver those things, as well as all of our rentals. It was quite a huge undertaking; coordinating all those people and getting everything to our venue (Smogshoppe) on time and in some kind of order that would make sense for Jessica. The night before the wedding, we were supposed to have a rehearsal at our hotel with the wedding party. Lets just say that all of the family coordinating and DIY arrangements did NOT go according to plan, and we missed the rehearsal. We also had a major freakout and things were seemingly falling apart. We stayed in contact with Jessica the whole time, and she talked us off the ledge. I was literally crying on the phone with her, and she reassured me; gave me some truth and lifted me back up. She handled the rehearsal with a dozen people she had never met, without her brides even being present. Jessica even arranged a last minute addition of another set of hands on the day of, to help out with some things we did not get finished. She pulled it all together, and truly saved the day. When we arrived at Smogshoppe and saw all of our decorations and flowers that we spent so much time making.... when we saw everything put together to perfection... we were brought to tears. Jessica pulled it off, took care of us the whole day, and made everything PERFECT. HIRE HER, she's the BEST! -

Oh man, what can you say about a life-saver? Jessica is amazing. We originally found her on Off-Beat Bride, then here on Weddingwire. We set up our meeting and were hooked. She is so open, kind, passionate, knowledgeable, and attentive. She is exceptionally confident in what she does. Our initially meeting was full of laughs, tears, and sharing. She really took the time to learn about us and our story. We hired her for day-of coordinating which included a planning session, unlimited email conversations (so quick to respond!!), a final planning meeting, and day-of services (12 hours). She is extremely organized and uses an online system for payment that made everything so easy!! Jessica is so much more than a "coordinator". She is a listener, friend, counselor, advisor, stylist....I could go on! She helped us solve numerous issues and calmed many a frantic moments. Our friends and family loved her! The day before, we had so many packing issues that we missed our own rehearsal!! No sweat for Jessica...she carried on with our bridal party in the most professional way and kept it moving. The day of, she managed all aspects of setup and even squeezed in a rehearsal for us! She kept the drinks coming for us all night long, made sure we ate, and genuinely cared for us in big ways and in the subtle ways that you don't think about. That's just it....we didn't think about anything. She took care of it all. We were free to love and celebrate! I highly recommend Jessica. She is an absolute gem!! We love her!!!!!!!!!!!! -

We highly recommend Jessica. We hired her as a day/month of coordinator and then added on design services. When our first wedding venue cancelled on us she calmly assisted us in finding a new location. We ended up picking a raw piece of land that required a complicated transformation - on a budget - but she got totally on board with our vision - getting excited about helping us turn this very unusual space, which had no power or water and was barely even level, into something amazing. I was not sure if I should spend money on a wedding coordinator but it was the best use of money - our wedding simply would not have been possible without Jessica. She created a layout in a very unconventional space, including lounges and a bar tucked between boulders. The result was incredible- many people told is it was the most beautiful wedding they had ever been to. The weekend of the wedding, she worked nonstop to make sure everything came together, problem-solving so many things but staying calm and warm all the while. -

From my initial conversation with her about her services to the end of our wedding day, she took so much time and effort to share her knowledge and ensure we had everything we needed to make our wedding incredible. She is not afraid to give her input on things that she knows about, given that she is the professional, and for most of us, this is our first time planning a wedding. She felt like much more than a day of coordinator in her involvement with our wedding! She relieved so much stress in the weeks prior to the wedding by taking over communication with our vendors, figuring out logistical problems, coming up with creative solutions, etc. She has a great eye and you can trust her to ensure things look perfect and stylish. We chose Art & Soul for wedding coordination and we have to say that Jessica is absolutely incredible! From our first conversation with her, we felt at ease putting our wedding in her hands. We truly felt like she understood us as a couple. She was also incredibly warm and easy to talk to, and we loved that she had experience with same-sex weddings. We knew we could entrust her with our big day. She made the month leading up to our big day so much less stressful, as she took over with vendor communication, scheduling details, and everything else under the sun! On the day of the wedding, everything was perfectly seamless (or at least it seemed to be to us, which is exactly what you want!). She had all of our decor arranged beautifully. The ceremony was coordinated expertly. As soon as we sat down for the reception, she made sure we had food and drinks immediately, which was so appreciated. We had a tight timeline, which she kept us to, which is a feat unto itself! Overall, we just felt that she had everything handled, so we didn't have to worry. We are forever grateful to her for making sure we had the most beautiful and stress-free wedding day! -

Where do I even begin!? I met with several planners before meeting Jessica and I knew the second I spoke with her that I wanted her to be my day of coordinator and I trusted her to do an amazing job. Jessica is responsive, organized, knowledgable, experienced and will put you at ease. She made me feel confident that things would go smoothly the day of my wedding and all my hard work planning would come together. She never made me feel like I was bothering her with questions, she had an answer for everything and made our wedding day so perfect. She remembers all the small details that make a wedding day way it is. Our wedding day was a dream and one of the main reasons is because Jessica was here making sure everything went according to plan. She knows so many people in the wedding industry and is so helpful. I had the pleasure of having Jessica from art and soul events plan our elopement and it was MAGICAL! I never thought planning a wedding/elopement could be fun. I'm a terrible planner! Jessica made it fun from the start to end! I was even extremely sad that I wouldn't be in constant contact with her. She truly makes me you like a friend or even family. She made our Los Angeles retro elopement BEAUTIFUL! She will forever be special to me for giving us the most amazing day of our lives. She really covers everything and is SUPER PREPRARED! Art and Soul Events was the greatest decision of the entire wedding for us, even though we wanted a DIY wedding it helped us enjoy the planning and actual wedding day so much more. I was so worried before we hired them about so many details, like who was going to clean up the decorations after the reception, paying the vendors their remaining balance and making sure the DJ played the right songs at the right time, and with them there we were just about to relax and have fun! -

My big fat MEXICAN CATHOLIC wedding...and by big, I mean well over 450 people. Jessica and Ashley handle these many people with ease, very professional and helped out tremendously. And tremendously is an understatement. Everyone that came from out of town and my parents were in awe of how well, even with a language barrier, J&A were able to communicate, help and dance the night away with my ginormous family. From beginning to end both women advised me on what to do and what would work best and what would be more economical, never pushy. I would get married and relive that whole moment again if I had Jess and Ashley there by my side again. -

I don't even know where to start with Jessica and Ashleigh. First of all, I'm quite a stickler for timely responses and questions getting answered and these girls were ON IT from the very get-go. I decided a little late in the game that a wedding coordinator was needed and began my hunt. I contacted many but Art & Soul stood out to me. They were "offbeat", seemed like loads of fun and responded to me in no time at all. That was just the first thing that gave me total confidence in them. The last couple of months leading up to the wedding was a whirlwind but everything was put in order and organized (we all know I needed that). We had a couple of meetings prior to the wedding, one at the venue and the other at the reception site. Plans were drawn out and I had no doubt in my mind things would go as planned. Vendors were handled with the utmost professionalism and come the day of the wedding, these girls were ON FIRE. I didn't have to worry about a single thing that day. It flowed beautifully and I had one of the best days of my life. Throughout the night they were keeping every thing in order, grabbing me another drink, making sure plates were cleared. I honestly couldn't have picked better wedding coordinators. They totally got "us" and made everything happen and exceeded our expectations by far. They were amazing to work with. 10/10 would do it again. -

They followed up with vendors and made sure all details were covered, ones that we didn't even think of. Day of, they were all over it! They made sure everyone was where they were supposed to be, they made sure we were fed and had drinks, they went with the flow of the wedding, making sure all the little events happened, but not interrupting the party. They dealt with any issues seamlessly (I'm sure I don't even know about most of them and I wouldn't want to :) Jessica and Ashleigh are professional, warm and welcoming, and know what they're doing. Art & Soul Events are an incredibly talented sister duo who took our vision and all of the pieces we threw at them and turned them into the most perfect site I have ever taken in. Prior to the wedding weekend, they were there to calm every single one of my stresses. I absolutely loved and looked forward to each meeting with them because I knew that no matter what I was freaking about in that moment, I was going to feel sooooo much better about everything after talking things out with them. On the day of the wedding, if there were any hiccups along the way, I knew of none. They took care of making sure everything came together seamlessly to us. All of this took place under the blazing desert sun and with one of them being seven months pregnant. They are seriously amazing -

Jessica and Ashley always communicated with me and answered my questions in a very timely manner. They even did research for me when I needed estimates on buying table cloths when they noticed I was feeling stressed out. They went above and beyond to provide their services by taking initiative to help solve real issues when they came up. If anyone tries to tell you that don’t need a wedding coordinator/day of planner, either they have never had a wedding, or are just plain crazy. With that said, you need ART AND SOUL EVENTS!
From the moment Jessica and Ashleigh began to help us with our wedding, I knew we made the right decision by hiring them. Art and Soul was always available and quick to reply. One of the first things they did, was contact all of our wedding vendors. They introduced themselves and became the main point of contact, always cc-ing us. This immediately relieved stress and put us at ease. They knew the right questions to ask, and reviewed all contracts. This wasn’t their first rodeo!
Even if you want a “relaxed” wedding, as we did, a timeline is crucial! Art and Soul Events worked with us to develop a timeline that was perfect for us. The day of the wedding they stuck to the timeline without rushing anything or making us feel like we were “behind”.
The day before the wedding Jessica organized a rehearsal for the ceremony. This is also crucial. The rehearsal was well organized and executed, and really relieved any stress we had about what to do during the ceremony.
As far as the day of the wedding, I could never begin to thank Jessica and Ashleigh for all the work they did to set up the venue. These hardworking ladies got into gear at 7 am and really didn’t stop until midnight! They worked with all vendors and set up every square inch of the venue. They tackled any and all issues that arouse the day of, and trust me there will be some!
I really felt like they were an extension of myself and my husband, doing all the things I would want to do if I was the one setting up. They knew everything we wanted to happen and made it happen, plus way more! They really take the time to get to know you and it shows in how they operate.

She was so easy going and did so much behind the scenes stuff that we really appreciated. I didn't even know she took care of everyone signing my marriage licence...one less thing for me to worry about. She touched base with me on everything and made sure the day/night ran smoothly. We had so many little details that had to be executed day of (160 sets of salt and pepper shakers to be put out and 4 little cakes!) and it was all done perfectly. We were lucky enough to have her recommended to us by a friend, and we are so thankful!
She started the month before to really put out fires and ease my mind of how the actual day would go. She's incredibly logical and when you're in a "BUT ON PINTEREST I SAW.." mind set it so valuable to have someone pull you back and make you prioritize. Jessica was also so kind when I had crazy ideas and helped make them work and come to life. Truly, she is the person you want in your corner when you are planning the biggest party of your life! -

Jessica and her team undertook what was probably the most complicated wedding ever without batting an eye. The wedding went off so completely without a hitch, that it was impossible to tell that there were so many moving parts. Everyone says something always goes wrong at a wedding, but I can't think of anything. Jessica can handle it all with a smile on her face. Strongly recommend! -

Jessica was great. We hired her to do "month-of" planning. She was very nice and knowledgable, and she set up the space for the wedding absolutely beautifully. She was also great at making sure everything ran smoothly on the wedding day without me (the bride) having to think about anything running on schedule or having to coordinate logistics with guests or vendors. It was a very stress-free wedding day, which was just my hope when hiring a planner. Finally, from what I could tell, she was quite reasonably priced for an experienced wedding planner in the LA area. -
