Amazing Airbnb wedding! Beautiful, stress-free, delicious

I hired Art catering for multiple dinner and breakfast events over our wedding weekend at an Airbnb beach house in Ocean Isle. We catered buffet food, bar, dessert, tables, chairs, linens, servers, and bartenders. I planned everything from Denver, CO which I was nervous about until I found Art catering. I’m SOOO happy I chose them, I can’t say enough good things. If you are planning a destination wedding or large event, this is the pick!!

First, the planning was very easy. Rosemary and team were always responsive and available if I had questions. We had a final call with the owner, Terry, to catch anything that we forgot. They went above and beyond, not only making suggestions about food and drink but also about flow of the event and how to make guests feel comfortable.

The event itself was flawless. The tables, chairs and linens were waiting for us when we arrived. The servers and bartenders did their own setup, constantly monitored tables and guests for empty dishes/glasses, kept the areas clean, and were generally extremely courteous and helpful to our guests. As the bride, my glass was always full and they made me plates of food when I didn’t have time. Rosemary came over to check on things herself. Plus, the food was delicious!!! We got the crab stuffed grouper, ribeye, and pulled pork BBQ for all the nights. We also did a signature drink and a la carte mini desserts.

Someone came everyday to replace our linens for clean ones. After each event, they left the area neat and cleaned up. We also got to keep our leftovers for anyone who was hungry between meals.

Truly, this was the best catering experience I’ve ever had. Our wedding was smooth and fun because of it. All of our guests commented. We hired a day-of wedding coordinator to help (which I also highly recommend). Overall, I would hire Art catering again in a heartbeat!!

Highly Recommend!

One word, DELICIOUS! They have so many yummy options on their menu it was hard to narrow it down. Luckily, we got to go in for a tasting and got to try our options for our wedding and then some. The tasting helped us solidify what we wanted to order. Usually, I am not overly impressed with buffet style food at weddings. This was entirely different! We got comments all night about how good the food was and even today (several days later), are still getting people telling us how great the food was. Would definitely recommend ART for all your catering needs.

Excellent to work with, great food and couldn't of been happier.

Art Catering was excellent to work with. They went the extra mile for us and made that day wonderful. We didn't have a worry. The quality/taste/presentation of the food was perfect. The servers were professional and really cared about things. We have already recommended them to a few others that are planning their daughters wedding. I have one more daughter....so we'll see.

Friendly, efficient and professional. They answered all of my questions and provided top service. The food was delicious and the cakes were amazing!

Art Catering were hired to cater our wedding reception. They worked with me to chose a variety of foods to serve to our guests. All of the guests said the food was delicious. It didn’t taste like typical wedding reception food but was more delicious than I had hoped. The chicken Marsala was creamy, the shrimp and grits had big shrimp that were fantastic. The multiple cakes for the reception were amazing! The carrot cake, coconut cake and Oreo cakes were so good that guests were getting 2-3 slices.
I can easily recommend Art Catering as they were easy to work with and everything was delicious.

Absolutely perfect

Great customer service, great food!

Very happy with the customer service and communication we had with ART catering leading up to our wedding. They were accommodating to the changes we made along the way and executed perfectly the day of. The food was delicious. Highly recommend to anyone needing catering!

Wedding 10/02/2021

I cannot thank Rosemary enough for all she and ART catering did to make our wedding special. They were easy to work with and the tasting was on point with quality of food delivered. We had food, two bartenders, and some rental items. Everything was delivered on time. Just know that if you only hire bartenders, you need to bring everything. But it worked out wonderfully. Food and drinks were great. Staff cleaned up. And communication overall was great. It did help having a local wedding planner who had worked with ART before too.

Amazing Low Country Boil

We recently got married at Brick Landing Venue and ART catering catered! We had the bacon wrapped scallops and bruschetta as our appetizers and the low country boil and rosemary chicken with green beans, house salad and corn bread as our main course and it was absolutely amazing!! Do yourself a favor and hire ART Catering!!

Great service!

Art cratering and events was great! The food was delicious, all my guests loved it. The service was amazing; the ladies that cater the food were amazing and very nice. They were wedding planning so much easier. I am very satisfied with their service.

Absolutely Perfect!

I can’t say enough amazing things about ART catering. Communication with Rosemary was always prompt and pleasant. The tasting was wonderful and the food day of was even better. Everyone raved about it all. People were still talking about the bacon delights the next day. It was so reasonably priced for pure elegance! They made sure we were fed first and were on their game cleaning and clearing. They packaged all leftovers and their team was courteous and kind. You honestly cannot ask for anything more. Their service was top notch!!

Amazing Food!

We had such an amazing experience working with ART Catering! The food was amazing and we received so many compliments on how great it was. We had a BBQ Buffett for dinner and the drunk donut station for dessert. The drunk donut station was a huge hit and added such a fun touch to our wedding. The whole team at ART is so great to work with and I would not hesitate to hire them again!

I hired this caterer for my wedding

ART Catering recently catered my wedding on the beach is NC. We had so many compliments about the food and staff. The service was excellent and attentive. Rosemary is patient and kind with all of the last minute details and changes that inevitably happen and I don’t think the process could have gone smoother. I would highly recommend ART Catering, the BBQ was delicious.

Great food and easy to work with!

I highly recommend ART Catering. I worked with Rosemary, she was so helpful from the beginning and responded quickly to any questions I had. The taste testing was very helpful. I finalized all the plans with Terry at the end and she was also great. I even made a change the last week from the high end plasticware to china, which I hated to ask so close but they didn't seem to mind a bit even though it required extra staff. The food was wonderful and we received many compliments!

Amazing company!

Rosemary at Art made planning our menu so easy! The taste testing was amazing and we booked on the spot. She was very quick to communicate with me and their service was great! I’ve had nothing but compliments on our menu (the bbq Buffett) and the servers working out event were very nice and seemed to enjoy themselves as well! Great experience!

Over the 10 months I was working with ART catering planning my wedding, I had all great experiences. All of the ladies there were helpful, friendly and flexible with answering questions, setting up meetings and phone calls. Terry, the owner was fabulous! very friendly, and shared advice along the way. I was looking for a company that would be a one stop shop for me to rent from. I was thrilled with everything we were able to cover and rent for the amount of money we spent. ART Catering supplied our cocktail hour and dinner food, our beverages both alcohol and non-alcoholic, our cake and cupcakes. (Everything was delicious, we took home leftovers!) They also provided all of our linens and dinnerware. They are able to rent the rest of our rental items through a third party, saving us the hassle of finding one ourselves! We were able to rent our arch way and ceremony chairs, extra tables and more! Their team did a fantastic job; we couldn’t have imagined it any other way! Would highly recommend!

The best experience!!!

If I could give ten stars I would! Terri, Rosemary and the whole team care a great deal about the role they play in your event! I met Rosemary when our previous caterer cancelled, three weeks before my sons wedding. From the first phone call she was reassuring, patient and positive that everything would be fine. She was right but it was because of how caring and professional her team was throughout the process. We had the best experience, ever!!!

In a pinch

My original caterer was struck by lightning 4 days before my wedding. ART catering was contacted and they jumped in and saved the day. Was able to pretty much take care of all the selections that I had originally. Was a great and yummy time.

Perfect! This was the best and easiest part of the wedding planning experience. The executed my vision with perfection!

I planned a wedding from across the US (CA), but that didn’t effect the service and communications I received! Working with Rosemary has been a pleasure. When I first flew home to meet with the venue both Rosemary and the owner, Terry, met with us to make sure everything was in place. If I ever have another event in the area, this is the ONLY catering company I’ll use. The guests are still complimenting the food, the taste, the displays and the impeccable service! Also the price was very reasonable!

Perfect Caterer!

We had to plan our wedding long distance and was unable to do a tasting. Art catering talked with us over the phone and really understood and helped make happen what we were going for. The perfect caterer

Working with Art of Catering was an absolute wonderful experience. From the beginning, they were absolutely amazing. Our tasting was our first impression of them and we immediately fell in love with our food. Rachel worked closely with us to create a completely customized menu and was with us through the entire process. On the day of, Steve and Chloe was there and were absolutely perfect. Best wedding food ever!!

The staff at Art Catering was incredible since day 1. They are so responsive and willing to work with you on every detail. I planned my wedding from 6 hours away, and they were always available to answer questions and make changes. Needless to say, the food is AMAZING! We had so many compliments on the food for both our rehearsal dinner and reception. The service was perfect. Would absolutely recommend!

Amazing from start to finish

Everyone on the team at ART Catering was amazing to deal with; from our tasting, all emailed questions, to the wedding day. They provided all of the food for our vegan cocktail hour and reception as well as all rental items including tables, linens, plates, etc. Every question I asked was answered promptly and professionally and Rachel always put me at ease. Every guest commented on how great the food was and how polite and kind everyone working the event was. I will absolutely use ART Catering again.

Beyond amazing!

Amazing! They did everything we asked and the girls working the event were amazing! We had a plate of apps set aside for the wedding party and at the sweetheart table for when we were taking pictures and they had them ready and went with the flow!

Amazing food and service

We're so glad we booked with ART. They were so flexible; initially able to meet with us on a Saturday which was a rarity when talking to other caterers! They have an amazing and delicious menu- we had tons of compliments from our guests about how awesome the food was- that it wasn't like other "wedding food" they had had before!

Amazing food and service!

ART Catering and Events provided amazing food and service for our daughter’s Sunset Beach, NC wedding. Chef Andrew was fun to work with creating the perfect menu. The low-country boil that ART Catering prepared on-site was delicious. Our guests raved about the crab cakes, fig and brie tarts and grilled vegetables. Complimenting the excellent food, were the friendly and efficient staff and servers. Thank you Terry and Andrew for helping to make our daughter’s wedding perfect.

our wedding was perfect

I can NOT say enough wonderful things about Rachel and Art Catering!! We live in CT and our wedding was held in Ocean Isle Beach, NC. The months leading up to it Rachel was ALWAYS willing to answer any & all questions we had. She was willing to go over every detail and made changes where we saw fit.
My husband and I went down in October for a taste test and we were just blown away! From the presentation to the food itself! Rachel could not be more friendly and attentive in person. We just love her to pieces!!
The day of our wedding went off without a hitch. They were early & efficient and had everything set up in a blink of an eye.
We decided on a cocktail hour then a heavy hors d'oeuvres menu for dinner. Again, the presentation of the food was perfect (everything was labeled so a girl like me with OCD it made me very happy)
Did I mention how DELICIOUS the food was? The chicken & waffles were EPIC!! The entire staff that day was professional, courteous and just amazing!
We are already planning our next event to have them caterer for us!!

Amazing all-around service

ART was our caterer, provided the rentals (linens, chairs, etc.), and provided our wedding cake. The convenience of getting all of these services from one place with one contact was awesome. The food was tasty (not extremely memorable, but solidly good), they worked with our day-of coordinator to do the cake cutting and champagne toast on-time, and were always pleasant to speak with on the phone or over email. The servers they sent were very professional and nice (the bartender was so fun - dancing all night behind the bar!). They were a great company to work with.

ART Catering was absolutely wonderful and easy to work with! Although we previously lived near this area, we were planning our wedding long distance from the west coast. I worked with Rachel the whole time and she answered all of my questions, concerns and worked with me to develop a menu with a little bit of everything we were looking for! We absolutely love food and wanted to make sure we had enough for our guests. Everything for the reception was seamless, our guests LOVED the food and there was so much leftover that everyone was able to take to-go boxes that were pre-packaged by the staff! ART Catering and Events was amazing! Terry and her whole team does an excellent job. They were always available when I had questions, wanted to added items to the menu( even some last minute changes). The whole ART Catering team was extremely professional. I had multiple wait staff come up to me during the night to make sure I had ate. They all offered to make me a plate. It was also great because they also provided the linens, in my color choice and helped flipped the ceremony area over to the reception area. We had the taco bar!! The food was incredible. I have had so many of our guest reach out to me about how good they taco bar was. They boxed up all the leftovers for my husband and I to take home!! The food was still great even as leftovers!! I would highly recommend!!!

Finding Art Catering was such a blessing! Being from out of town, my husband and I were a little nervous in picking a vendor, but after talking to Terri and the team (especially Rachel), we knew this was going to be the perfect caterer for our wedding - and it was! From beginning to end, they were a pleasure to work with and made planning everything such a breeze. We used Art for everything from food and drinks to tables, benches and linens. Terri and Rachel stayed in constant contact leading up to our wedding day, and it was so nice knowing we could 100% trust and count on them to make our wedding reception just what we wanted it to be. The food was delicious, and the staff was professional and friendly. We can't say enough good things!

We had such a wonderful experience with Terri and her team at ART! From my first phone call through the wedding day, they were a breeze to work with and very accommodating with our families' food choices. We used Art last weekend for our wedding and could not have been happier!! From the start, Rachel was amazing to deal with...she eased all of my stress and really helped me out with so many details. We did our tables/chairs, linens, tableware, morning brunch (through Purple Onion Cafe) appetizers, food and cupcakes with them and everything was better than we could have hoped for! We came from Texas, so we didn't get to try anything before the big day and it was above what we could have ever expected! The servers and bartender were so great with all of our guests, they made sure everyone had what they needed all evening. If you are looking for a company that does it all and that pays attention to detail, and takes over the stress and makes the planning process easier, look no further and choose Art Catering! We will forever remember how perfect our day was and they helped in that! Thank you guys so much!

I have to say that the ladies at ART catering were amazing! I had an outside wedding that unfortunately got rained out but they had no problem moving everything inside last minute! They did such a good job and I really enjoyed working with this group!

Art Catering was a dream come true for our dessert bar at our beach wedding at Ocean Isle Beach. We decided on having a pie bar instead for our wedding dessert, and it turned out beautifully! From the ordering process with Dawn Cote, to the tasting, Art Catering went above and beyond to make sure our vision was carried out. Our guests raved about each of the different pie flavors, especially the Cherry pie and the Sweet Potato pie. With so many choices, Art Catering was the perfect fit for us!

Art was our first tasting as an engaged couple. We tasted several others and none even come close. Terry, Andrew and Dawn are all amazing to work with. They Best part was the amazing food. We had a Ahi Tuna carving station and it was fantastic and our guest talked about it all night!

From the beginning of our wedding planning process to our wedding day, Art Catering was absolutely perfect! They were always super responsive when I had concerns and were always willing to give advise if I was struggling with decisions. Everyone at ART catering is professional and knowledgable on what you need to make your wedding exactly what you want. They can do pretty much anything you're looking for. You speak directly with the owner for your final run through before your event to make sure everything is perfect. They have any item, both food and equipment that you may need. This was my first time ever dealing with a caterer and ART made everything so easy.

Oh my, ART Catering made everything so simple. They were flexible until a week before the wedding in regards to what type of cupcakes we wanted, to the number of people attending. They covered our meal, desserts, and bar for the wedding for such a great price. We had a beach wedding and had a shrimp boil for dinner. For those not familiar, the shrimp is boiled with sausage, potatoes, and corn. They accommodated our vegetarian guests by boiling a separate selection for them omitting the sausage. We also had chicken for our picky eaters. It came with salad and two delicious dressings (not a huge fan of ranch, but theirs was so tasty,) a green bean side, and corn bread. I think I'm going into such detail about the food because it was SO SO delicious. I'm so glad there were leftovers. The desserts were so wonderful. I don't know where they all went! Everyone enjoyed them so much. The employees serving, clearing and making drinks were professional, approachable, and all had smiling faces.
I would recommend them to anyone and I would also suggest stopping by their restaurant The Purple Onion Cafe in Shallotte. I'll definitely be back there!

ART provided food for the rehearsal dinner, reception and brunch the morning after. Everyone commented on how good everything was! But let's go back to the beginning of our search. We met with Terry the owner. She guided us in our food selections and also went the extra mile in helping us with additional vendors. Since this was a destination wedding, we were not familiar with the reputation of other companies in the area. All of her recommendations were spot on. We had the perfect wedding! I used Art Catering for my destination wedding from New York to Sunset Beach & Ocean Isle Beach, NC. We were referred to Art from Silver Coast Winery (venue we booked) while I was still in NY and my mom and sister were on vacation last April. They were able to meet with them the same day that they booked the venue and gave us tons of tips and information. Then we went to the tasting this past October and it was the first time that I met Terry and she treated us great! She again provided us with tons of information and guided us just like a wedding planner might. If I had any questions I would direct them toward Dawn and she always got back to me within a few hours. We used Art for a rehearsal dinner at my parent's rental on Sunset Beach, for the reception at Silver Coast Winery and then again for a morning after brunch again at Sunset Beach. They also provided information on who/where to rent tables and chairs from for the rehearsal. We had no worries those three days as the Art Catering staff (including Ryan, Terry's son) were awesome. We dropped off the center pieces and flowers the morning of the wedding and they set everything up and even made slight adjustments to the plans as they saw fit due to space, etc. The whole weekend went without a hitch due to this awesome staff. We will never forget how fortunate we were to find such an awesome team of people, not to mention the food was great!

From our first phone call, until the truck carrying the table and chair rentals pulled away, ART Catering was a dream vendor. They were always available and easily handled any changes we made. Adding certain desserts and foods, taking away others or making sure they knew about and accommodated some of our guests' allergies, they never gave us a single problem. Getting both our food and rentals, (Tables, chairs, china, tablecloths, etc.) from them made everything that much easier. Unlike some other vendors we used, they explained everything, were on time, courteous and made our day easier. Then there was the food. Simply delicious. From the appetizers, to the main course, and to the desserts, everyone raved about how great it was. Even picky eaters were able to find enough options to fill their plates and ask for more. There were also enough leftovers to provide us with several tasty meals the week after our wedding. If we ever plan another event near Ocean Isle Beach, ART Catering will be our first call.

We used Art Catering for our beach wedding and they were fantastic! The food was amazing. Everything was delicious. I've heard from so many of my guests how much they enjoyed all the food, especially the mini crab cakes appetizers. Their prices couldn't be beat by anyone. On very short notice Art Catering was able to supply food for a beach wedding at Holden Beach for 25 people. They delivered it right on time and the barbecue pork was delicious. Would highly recommend them.

Art catering was fantastic for our outdoor wedding reception! They had multiple options for the meals and the prices were very reasonable. Art Catering did a superb job with my two daughters weddings. The food was excellent, and the service was professional and efficient, and the special requests that were made, regarding the cakes and food were handled to perfection. The staff was outstanding and the guests raved about the food and cakes. The staff efficiently cleaned up and packaged the extra food and put in the refrigerator. They were wonderful and tried to make sure they met any requests that our guests had. My husband and I were very pleased with all aspect of their involvement from suggestions and planning thru the weddings themselves. Would highly recommend them.

Art Catering was highly recommended to us as the caterer for our daughter's destination wedding at The Sunset Inn-Sunset Beach, N.C. and they lived up to their excellent reputation! Terri and her staff were so gracious in the planning process, making helpful suggestions to sort out our menu selections for the reception. They were always available to speak with us over the phone and returned our calls promptly. We had to make changes to our contract 2 weeks prior to the wedding due to greater guest response than we had anticipated and they had no problems accommodating the changes. The food was outstanding! Many of our guests commented that the mini crab cakes were the best that they had ever eaten! Words really cannot even begin to express the abundance of appreciation that I have for Terry and her staff. I literally don't know where to begin... guess I'll start with the food.... The food was AMAZING. There was not a single person that did not come up to me and tell me that our wedding food was the BEST they have ever had. From the appetizers to the BBQ and sides, it was all so delicious. My mouth is watering right now just thinking about it. You guys really hit the nail of the head. Good ol' southern cooking with elegance! My bridesmaids and groomsmen wiped out the left overs the next day. I'll have to make a special trip to the Purple Onion Cafe just to be reminded periodically of how yummy your food is.

The ART Catering team was outstanding! Terry, you really have some very special people working for you. I could not believe how you all just jumped in and worked to make my special day go as seamless as possible. You even went above and beyond your duties when you helped to get us all lined up with our flowers to start walking... that was a bonus considering I really didn't have an event planner to help us with that.

Terry and her entire team at ART Catering were WONDERFUL to work with! All of my questions throughout the wedding planning process were answered quickly and thoroughly (and believe me, I had a LOT of questions!). Terry was also very accomodating to our budget and worked with us in creating a menu that was perfect for our event. On the day of the wedding, Terry was professional and friendly. Art Catering did a fantastic job for my wedding. Their food was great, and my guests are STILL talking about it. I highly recommend the crab dip, in addition to pretty much anything else on their menu. They are reasonably priced, and very easy to work with. Words could never express how amazing Art Catering is. From our initial appointment with Terry where she made us feel comfortable and confident and could answer any question we had. To our menu tasting which went above and beyond any expectation we could have had, the food was amazing especially the shrimp and grits and the crab cakes, just wow! Closer to the wedding we had a few questions, and they were always there for answers. Terry and Andrew even stopped by our rental house the day before the wedding to check in that we were alright. During the reception the food was out of this world. We even had a slight, well bad mishap where some of our younger guests knocked over our wedding cupcake stand, sending them flying. The group working for Art Catering helped make the cake look presentable, even added some strawberries and you could hardly tell something had gone very wrong. Even a few days later we have family and friends telling us how amazing the food was, particularily the flounder, crabcakes, shrimp and grits, and the hush puppies! I wouldn't have changed a thing, they were great!

I cannot say enough about Terri Bland! She's phenomenal! She was very professional, worked with our wedding planner and literally catered to our specific requests such as peach tea, working up a special "Southern" luncheon menu, offering sound advice and recommendations for a cake maker and DJ and validating our choice of venue. She also provided the necessary rentals of chairs, tablecloths and napkins, glassware, etc. We were told that we would not have to worry about a thing with Terri on the job, and we didn't! She went out of her way to accommodate our every need. Terri has her ducks in a row and they are some of the most well-behaved ducks you'll ever see! She also worked with us on the price, so that we were able to stay within our budget. I couldn't believe all that we got for what we paid! She's truly amazing! Oh! Did I mention the food! PERFECT -- absolutely scrumptious and elegantly displayed! A last minute decision -- we ordered the chocolate-covered strawberries (wedding dress/tuxedo) and I'm SO glad we did! They were such a hit! My daughter could not believe how detailed they were and was perfectly delighted! My son said that the chocolate was the best he'd ever eaten! We had so many compliments on all of the food ... SO many! I only wish that we could have slowed the day down and savored the food and the everything more! I highly recommend ART Catering as well as the restaurant, The Purple Onion. We had lunch there the first day we met with Terri. We knew right away that we would want her to cater our wedding luncheon/reception -- one of the best decisions we made!

One thing you can't really guarantee at a wedding is the food and its a large portion of your budget! Art catering was a heaven sent...they met our close to nothing, comical budget and the food was amazing. Everyone at our wedding complimented the food. They are also true professionals, they knew the questions to ask that we didn't think of and covered everything! We will always recommend Art catering and will use them again!

Art Catering is such an amazing company! We had them help with our ocean front cocktail hour and it was the perfect set up! There food was amazing and the guess were RAVING about it! Everyone was RAVING about the food for our rehearsal and our wedding reception!!! We heard so many comments about how great it was. Their coordinator told us once we wouldn't need a tasting and she was right, everything was GREAT! (Although I suggest a tasting, you will want as much of their food as you can fit in your tummy!!) This caterer is a MUST for your big day!!

I loved working the Art Catering. From the moment we did our tasting - I was hooked! Terry is so awesome and very willing to make your event exactly what you want it. They were very reasonably priced. My wedding was outdoors and Terry told me everything I needed to know about having an outdoor wedding. Their bar staff was amazing and were prompt about asking me and my new husband if we wanted a drink as soon as we got to our reception site. They kept us very well catered all night :) Our guests were very impressed with the food at our wedding! I received more compliments from guests about the food than anything else at our wedding! I would definitely recommend Art Catering for any event! They are an amazing staff to work with!

We planned our wedding as a "destination" wedding and were so thankful to end up with such a wonderful caterer. We met with her about 5 months before our big day for a menu tasting and to discuss details. Her menu is wonderful!! We had a hard time narrowing down our choices. Our guests thoroughly enjoyed the menu selections (and the bar too!).

She also has a great list of vendors she works with! We walked away with tummy's full, happy guests, and an amazing friendship. Terry and her team are dream-makers when it comes to weddings! I would HIGHLY recommend ART catering to anyone.

When we decided that our venue was going to be Silver Coast Winery we knew that we wanted Art Catering for our food. Terry at Art Catering works very closely with the winery for various events and we knew that we would be in good hands. We went to a wine and food pairing at Silver Coast where Purple Onion Cafe/Art Catering brought in the food and it was amazing!

Terry was very helpful during the planning process with answering my questions and giving me different options. The first time I went in to talk to her I had just started planning so I was still unsure of what direction we were going in. She helped to direct me to what our budget would allow that would still be what we were hoping for. They ended up providing not only our food for dinner and the cocktail hour, linens, ceremony chairs, and flatware but also our centerpieces!

Terry is very precise when she writes up the contract and every part of what we were paying for was itemized so there were no surprises. I actually decided to change the linens, which allowed me to put that money towards something else in our budget. I was very pleased with how everything turned out at the reception because it was gorgeous in the barrel room. Everyone also talked about how great the food was, and we didn't have very much left over! They even set up our escort cards and wine glasses on our tables, which was a great help to us on wedding day. Thank you Art Catering for making my wedding vision a reality!

Cannot say enough good things about our experience with Art Catering. Terry was amazing throughout the planning and preparation. EVERYONE commented on how amazing the food was. We were told "every bite was as fantastic as the next" and "best food I've had at a wedding ever!" The prices are extremely reasonable and well worth the value. Terry really cares about her clients and wants to do whatever possible to make your special day as perfect and stress free as possible. Would recommend to anyone for any occassion.

Terry and Andrew were great! Throughout the process of planning, Terry worked with me as I continued to change my mind about everything from our cocktail hour to our dessert. Their team is amazing and were taking care of clearing without being obtrusive. The food was fantastic! When we sat down with them for the initial consultation, all I knew I definitely wanted was a mashed potato bar and they delivered! My now husband, wanted a nice cut of meat, so Andrew himself was at our carving station doing not only the prime rib, but also the turkey that my mom wanted. We had a salad preset on the table and the dressing is a raspberry vinaigrette that is one of the best dressings I have ever tasted.

It began to rain just before dinner, so Terry was able to move dinner up half an hour so that we would be able to move into the buildling more quickly.

Art Catering was perfect for our Southport, NC wedding. Terry worked with me to adjust the menu up until the week of the wedding and was so kind and wonderful the entire time. The catering staff were so nice and helpful during the reception and the food was wonderful! They also provided cakes for the reception (we did not choose to have a traditional wedding cake, but 5 cakes for our guests, each a different flavor, and one small cake for my husband and I to share). Everyone raved about the cakes, they were fantastic, and I'm so glad we chose to do that instead of a traditional wedding cake!

We were very pleased with Art Catering! The taste-testings we had were very helpful and delicious. We didn't get to try a few of the items we requested, but the staff explained that since those particular ones are made in mass quantities, single servings are difficult to accommodate (which makes perfect sense). They provided numerous other items to try instead though, which were all wonderful! We did run out of hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour, but that's only because guests were eating them up since they tasted so amazing! I was a little hesitant about having a buffet, but everything tasted great! Several guests went back for seconds, and we still had leftovers!

The only complaint I have is about the bartender... The drinks he made were great, but a few of the guests made comments about how he was doing stuff on his phone every time they went up and some of them even had to get his attention to order. When we ran out of 1 type of beer, he didn't bother to take it off display. One of the bridesmaids had to ask him to pull it if we didn't have anymore. He was also asked by my wedding planner to keep the koozies we got for favors on the bar for people to grab when they got beer, but I myself had to ask him to replenish the supply at least 3 different times when I saw there were none for people to grab. I know that wasn't technically in his duties, but I wish he could have at least been a little more attentive.

I worked with Terry Bland to have the catering for my rehearsal dinner and to get the desserts (pies & my wedding cake cheesecake) for the wedding reception. ART Catering was so helpful and such a pleasure to work with.

For the rehearsal dinner, we had a southern bbq dinner, seafood boil, and southern sides. The food was so so so delicious. The beef brisket was the best brisket my husband ever had. And I absolutely loved the bbq ribs. Terry and her team were super responsive in the planning process, she helped with all the setup, beautiful decorations, setting up the tables and making sure everything looked incredible. The catering staff was super sweet and nice to my guests.

I loved the pies and my wedding cake that they provided. It was incredibly delicious and would definitely come to Purple Onion cafe next time we're in town to eat the food there!!

Great Food, Would Recommend

AMAZING food and very friendly staff. My only observation is that they asked what drinks we wanted waiting for us at our couples table (we used them for our wedding) and instead of what we asked for we got our "signature" drinks. I had asked for Champagne and my husband a Rob Roy. Instead I got gin and he got bourbon. Not bad, but not what I was expecting and champagne would have been better.

The food was so amazing!! The team was great. There were times where emails were not returned and we added a cake stand rental to our order, which never made it to the cake table, which didn't really bother us. They went out of the way during the day of the wedding to make sure that we received hors d'oeuvres and salads. They also checked to see if we wanted them to make a plate for us or if we ever needed anything during the reception. My mom had trouble getting one girl to cut our other cake flavors, but they ended up serving them. They boxed out leftovers for us and boxed up the cake as well. We highly recommend them. The food tasting was great as well! We had a buffet and salad and the buffet came with rolls and drinks.

Everyone is still raving about the food! The menu was customized just for us and very affordable. I will be honest and say was a little nervous about choosing ART Catering at first for the following reasons:
1. I was a destination bride and booked without sampling the food at all.
2. We had a small problem getting our contracted started due to the possibility of them being overbooked that day.
After we got the contract resolved, it was smooth sailing from there! I had nothing to worry about. Terry called to confirm everything and ensured that all my questions were answered. Her entire team was prompt, very friendly and a joy to be around! We had plenty of yummy leftovers which they kindly packed up for us. I would definitely recommend Art Catering. I am so happy that I chose them to cater my OIB Wedding!

ART Catering was wonderful to work with. We were planning our Holden Beach, NC wedding from our home in Chicago, IL and did most our correspondence through email. They were familiar with the house we were renting for our wedding which made the whole process much simpler. When visited NC, they were able to accommodate us and set up a tasting. The food was amazing and I, as the bride, actually got to enjoy it at the wedding - I made sure of it! We had a few dietary requests, i.e. vegetarian and gluten free, and they were able to offer suggestions. The staff was so friendly and truly showed us all southern hospitality. I would definitely recommend them!

Food was great for our event. The quality was excellent and had a variety of options to fit our budget. We even had a specialty dessert, banana fosters! Most work was done via email and telephone calls which I appreciated! Staff made sure bride and groom had food and dessert. I only wish they would have set aside a plate of the appetizers because we didn't get any of those since we were taking pictures.

First off, my husband and I live in MN. We weren't able to have a taste-testing, so there was a little bit of nerves when selecting a caterer. Luckily, I did my homework and read many, many reviews. Then, I called Terri, the owner, and was able to get popular choices from her. Based on reviews, we decided to use ART Catering for our rehearsal brunch as well as our dinner reception. If you are going to be having an afternoon wedding, their brunch is OUT OF THIS WORLD. My husband and I both said we have never had better shrimp and grits... But don't worry, if you don't like seafood, their omelet bar, scrumptious pastries, waffle bar, fruit spread, and mimosas should will suffice (again, AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS!!). We loved brunch so much that we wish we could've had it for dinner. Our dinner was pretty tasty, too. It consisted of pecan encrusted chicken and cheese tortellini (both really good!), and we had the goat cheese polenta and raspberry green beans (so-so in our opinion) for sides.

The only reason I've given them a 4/5 star for quality of service was that there was some miscommunication via email (I did overlook this, though...), and we ended up not having dessert for our guests. Luckily, we had made a cake for ourselves to cut and eat, and it was large enough to share with our guests. I went to speak with the caterers, and the informed me there was no dessert... But they had all of the dessert dinnerware. I found this to be a bit odd, and think it would've been good for the caterers to follow-up with given the discrepancy, but again, I did look over the last proposal and missed it myself. It all worked out - our guests loved our cake so much there was none left!

Overall, I would highly recommend ART Catering. I would definitely hire them again myself, and my husband and I will definitely be visiting their cafe next time we're back in Holden Beach/Shallotte!

ART Catering provided both the food and the event rentals for our destination wedding on Ocean Isle Beach. The food was fantastic -- all of our guests had nothing but good things to say about it. They set up and tore down the decorations for our beach ceremony in a professional and timely manner. And they allowed up to keep the reception chairs and tablecloths until the next day (since the party went on for a while into the night!) and came back the next day to pack them up. Overall I am incredibly happy with their service, and they were easy to work with as we were planning the wedding from out of town.

We did a tasting a couple months in advance of our wedding, which went great. They gave us the option to pick out an array of food that we wanted to taste, and added other options that they thought we'd like based on our choices. After tasting an extensive array of food, Terry sat down with us and talked through our ideas. She was even willing to make adjustments to their offerings based on our preferences.

There were two little mix-ups that we had with ARTs, but both were resolved professionally. First, during the planning process, Terry's assistant had told us on the phone that they didn't do any set-ups on the beach, which we had wanted for our ceremony. However, when we sat down with Terry for our tasting, she informed us that she could most certainly do the beach set-up for our ceremony. While I was quite relieved they could do everything in-house, I wish the initial communication would have been better so we could have saved some time in the planning phase. Secondly, we had a slight mix-up on our contract that we had overlooked. We had picked out place-settings, cups, and silverware with Terry that we wanted to them to provide for our reception. However, on the contract, it was mistakenly indicated that we were to provide them. This was discovered the day of the wedding; but by the time the reception started, they had made sure everything was there!

ART Catering was wonderful from start to finish!!! We found out about them by chance last summer when my husband and I were searching the Sunset Beach area for wedding vendors. We stopped by the Purple Onion Cafe after a long day of vendor hunting and were poring over our pamphlets. Our waitress saw this and suggested we meet with Purple Onion's catering business, ART Catering. We LOVED the food at Purple Onion so we decided to check it out, and we weren't disappointed. From our first meeting, Terry was honest, fair, kind, and enthusiastic about our vision of a vegetarian/vegan wedding. And they did not disappoint on our wedding day! We had guest after guest raving about our food, telling us it was the best wedding food they had ever had! Would highly recommend ART Catering to anyone looking for an honest, fair, and DELICIOUS caterer. ART Catering was also able to provide chairs, linens, and plates for us!

ART Catering out of Shallotte, NC was the perfect caterer for our wedding. Terry was extremely helpful and understanding as our wedding approached. My husband was very impressed with the quality and taste of their food and I can honestly say this company had such a talent for making our event special. We heard endless compliments regarding the food. They also supplied rehearsal dinner and bridal brunch. All delicious! Terry was such a pleasure to work with and we are overly satisfied with what they have done for us. They also supplied linens, tables, and chairs to help make things easier. Terry at ART catering is awesome. They have a restaurant the Purple Onion and we ate there for lunch only to find out that they also cater. I live near St. Louis so it was a one time shot when I was visting in NC and her food was amazing. Everyone raved about the food at our reception!

Wedding food

Art catering was very easy to work with! They sent out reminders for when payments were due and when adjustments needed to be made. The service was great. The quality of food was okay. Most guests were not impressed with the food. It was just basic wedding food even though you pay the pretty hefty wedding catering costs.
Art also sent a bartender for our bar to serve our wine and beer. She did a great job keeping up with all of our drinking guests.

Good experience

Rachel was incredible to work with! From start to finish she was extremely helpful, accommodating, and friendly. She quickly put to rest any concerns I had about the menu for our reception. There were a few hiccups on our actual wedding day, but overall everything with ART Catering was great.

ART catering just catered my daughter's wedding. They were easy to work with, and the team they sent was outstanding. The food was excellent. The only complaint would be that we did not know we had to bring our own containers to take left over food home with us. They said it was in the contract, but we missed it.

Art Catering was an amazing vendor. We had a phone screen with them and then we went to a tasting. We were a little concerned because they were over budget, but it was worth every penny. Dawn, Terry and the Art Catering team are amazing. They are extremely professional and the dream vendor. They provided ideas on how make our dollar go the extra mile and the food OMG the food was just amazing! We could not have picked a better catering company! We were so happy with Art and everyone at our wedding raved about how wonderful the food was. You do not need to keep looking for a caterer you have just found the best catering company in town.

We loved getting to know the Terry and her crew. They were all very really nice and helpful, and gave good insight into the business of catering. We really liked them. The only thing we didn't like was one of their bartenders had a chip on his shoulder, and was being grumpy enough to the point that a few of my guests mentioned it to me. Paying the amount of money that you do for a wedding the last thing you should hear about is a rude bartender. Everyone else was wonderful and very polite!

The ART catering team was great to work with. There were a few last minute changes on my end that they quickly adjusted to. Overall I thought that the food was amazing and the server team was sweet enough to bring some hors d'oeuvres down to the beach while we were taking photos. The only complaint that I had was the bartender. She must have been new because she struggled to make classic drinks, like a gin and tonic, she poured two gins together and then when she realized it was wrong she poured it all out. Other than that, no complaints, I would recommend their catering services to any beach bride.

ART Catering did a great job catering our wedding and rehearsal dinner at Ocean Isle Beach, NC. The food the provided was amazing. People are still letting us know how good they thought the food was as our wedding. They did not have the beer we had selected when they first showed up for the rehearsal dinner but their bar tender quickly corrected the problem and we had a great night. I would highly recommend them to anyone throwing an event around the Wilmington area.
