  Sondra was so pleasant to work with! She was absolutely on top of each detail and made sure that everything was taken care of. She even went above and beyond to provide services that made the day run even more smoothly.   We used Sondra for "day of coordinating" and couldn't have been happier. Even before the day, she was available to answer questions and ease my mind. The day of, she kept me calm and did all the setting up and dealing with people, so I was able to get ready in peace. Our ceremony was supposed to take place outside at 4:30, but at 1 PM, we made the call to move it inside due to weather. Not only did she do an amazing job moving the ceremony inside with the help of the vineyard staff, but she also kept me informed and made my husband and I feel good about the decision we made to move it, even though it put a lot more work on her. During the cocktail hour, Sondra and her assistant along with the vineyard staff switched the ceremony setup to the reception set up for 150 people.. IMPRESSIVE! It came out so beautiful.. both the ceremony and the reception. I would highly recommend her!

  Lissa is amazing!

  I had the privilege of working with both Sondra and Lissa. Sondra answered all my questions and emails extremely timely. On the wedding day we had to switch and use our rain plan, Lissa was on top of making sure everything was taken care of. Lissa was extremely professional, upbeat, and a joy to work with.

  Worth Every Penny!

  Sondra & Hope were incredible help at our wedding!! We hired them for day of & they were the extra hands & eyes we needed to help our day go as smooth as possible. They were very accommodating and even helped us with extra things outside of their job description. We loved them & I HIGHLY recommend!! Don’t over think it, hire them as your planner/coordinator!

  Used Sondra for our wedding along with Holiday House Events (Nancy Harvey) and they went above and beyond for our wedding. It was PERFECT in every way possible. A couple of the BEST surprises for me on our big day was the fact they found us a beautiful car and most gracious driver for us (which made for fantastic photos as well), and also the sweet surprise of them using gorgeous wooden chairs for our wedding ceremony instead of white (which is what I was anticipating on them having set up). I cannot say enough great things about OBX Affair, but I will continue on saying her name whenever anyone asks me for recommendations. THANK YOU FOR BEING SO BEAUTIFUL TO WORK WITH. I wish we could go do it all over again.

  Sondra and Hope were amazing! I planned my wedding from Pittsburgh and they made the day of flawless. Sondra was very responsive and took care of everything so that my fiancé and I did not have to worry about a thing on our wedding day.   My friend recommended Sondra after her & her sister both used her for there weddings-and I’m pleased to say I’m glad I listened! She is there from start to finish & is on the ball about any thing and everything! She keeps the night moving just as it should without you having to worry about anything. My father (who was skeptical of if a day of planner was worth it) talks about her more and how awesome she was when talking about the wedding!

  Best wedding coordinator!

  If it wasn’t for Sondra my wedding definitely would not have run smoothly. Sondra was very helpful In my wedding months before the wedding. She had us run through the rehearsal perfectly! We set up everything the night before the wedding and she made the venue for the reception perfect when we came in for the first look pictures. She kept us on time throughout the wedding and make sure to correct any issues that occurred that day. She was truly perfect and I would recommend her. Even if you don’t think you need a coordinator, you should still hire her because she made sure all the final pieces were in place and made m wedding perfect!

  Sondra and Shelley were incredible. Sondra was the primary contact throughout our wedding planning and Shelley was there on the wedding day (two for the price of one!). Sondra was very helpful with referrals to other vendors we still needed when we hired her. The day of coordination package included running the rehearsal too which is an absolute must - you don't want to do that yourself. They took what I had for decor combined with a few things I rented from them and made the venue look so beautiful!   Sondra is the best!

  Sondra and her team were amazing. From start to finish our whole wedding was perfect. I’m sure that there were many hiccups in the day but I didn’t know anything about them because Sondra just simply handled it. I can’t thank Sondra enough for all of her hard work to help give us the best day of our lives!

  I originally had planned to plan my entire wedding by myself and just have a friend or family member be responsible for coordinating on the day of the wedding but I am beyond happy that I chose to hire Sondra as my day of coordinator! From the moment I contacted her she went above and beyond to make sure my wedding day was everything I could have imagined. It started with a phone call with Sondra that was at least thirty minutes long where we discussed everything I had planned on my own so far and Sondra went over everything that she could offer and do for me, I was a little hesitant to hire someone that I had never met before in person but Sondra was so nice, caring and knowledgeable that I knew right then that I wanted to hire her. Anytime after I had that initial phone call Sondra was super quick to answer any questions I had and always answered my emails right away. A couple weeks before the wedding Sondra was amazing about contacting all my other vendors to coordinate how the day would run and all other necessary details. Since my husband and I are from Virginia Beach and our wedding party was from all over the country we had to wait until the morning of the wedding to do our rehearsal but Sondra was great at telling everyone exactly what we needed to do and ran through the rehearsal super quickly and smoothly. The rest of the wedding day went off without a hitch, if anything went wrong during the day I had absolutely no idea about it!! Sondra did amazing with making the ceremony and all the details about the reception run perfectly smooth. My wedding day was everything I could have dreamed of and more and I know without a doubt that wouldn't have been possible if I hadn't hired Sondra, everyone should hire her!!!!!!

  Sondra is absolutely amazing, and I couldn't imagine having anyone else coordinate my wedding! She responded to my (many) emails very quickly and was so professional. She turned my Pinterest ideas into something even better than I imagined. Our winter wonderland wedding theme was something out of a fairy tale. Sondra is so creative! She also met with me multiple times throughout my engagement when I needed to discuss wedding ideas with her, and she pointed me in the right direction with many of my other vendors. I highly recommend An Outer Banks Affair.

  Booking Sondra and An Outer Banks Affair as our day-of coordinator was the best decision we could have ever made for our wedding! Sondra met with us in person a few months before the wedding to discuss every detail and make helpful suggestions about planning. She contacted all of our vendors to put together a detailed timeline for all wedding events. Sondra was working another wedding the day of ours, so she sent Bethany and Taylor. Bethany and Taylor were AMAZING! They came early in the day, helped decorate and make sure the ceremony/reception set-up was exactly how we wanted it. They maintained communication with all the vendors to make sure everything was going smoothly (and that the bride and groom did not know of any hiccups!). There was a thunderstorm in the middle of dinner, and the girls acted quickly to accommodate our guests inside and keep the party going. Despite the changes in the weather, our wedding was everything we could have ever dreamed of, and this was in large part because of Bethany and Taylor. I highly recommend hiring An Outer Banks Affair!

  Great wedding planner

  Sondra was an excellent wedding planner! Originally, my husband & I planned to get married in May 2020, but we had to postpone due to COVID. Sondra was great at helping us with a new date, finding out all of the new rules/regulations, & overall handling our vendors. The day of went so smoothly, I didn’t worry about a thing. She was great to work with - highly recommend!

  An Outer Banks Affair -- the best ever!

  All of the pre-OBX preparation was orchestrated expertly by Sondra. It would have been impossible to navigate the week without her knowledge and recommendations. Her suggested time frames leading up to the week, vendor recommendations and informative phone calls were most comforting, in our efforts to plan, minimize costs and make decisions. I enjoyed our conversations throughout.
  
  Clearly Sondra was familiar with the Black Stallion, which also was so very helpful. A unique place, well equipped to handle groups such as ours.
  
  Sondra all did an amazing job re-locating all of tables for the reception into the ball room, with the onset of the rain shower. Absolutely incredible. I don't know how she orchestrated that move... but, it was all done as if we had intended it to be there all along. Yes, it all worked. And, by the evening's end... most even made it outside to enjoy the lights!!
  
  It was wonderful working with Sondra, and getting to know her through the process, then finally meeting her at the Black Stallion. And, Shelly, too.
  
  We were so thankful for all of her efforts to help us through the week and especially the wedding. She was terrific. A calming presence, a reliable organizer, and a welcomed lead on our big day.
  
  Thank you very much, indeed. I feel as if we became friends!!

  We had the joy of working with Bethany from an Outer Banks Affair for our wedding this past year. She made sure everything happened exactly how it was supposed to and everything was absolutely beautiful. Her and Sondra were both great to work with and made sure my husband and I had the best day possible.
