What can I say about Alex?... well, a LOT actually. I had known about her photography for a while, prior to even meeting my now wife. I had seen her work and I always love supporting local people that I have met or known in real life. Naturally, she was my first thought when we were looking for a photographer to shoot our wedding.
I could never have imagined how good a decision that was. We got married coming up on 5 years ago; our wedding was scheduled for what ended up being 3 weeks into COVID lockdown so obviously we had to change our plans a bit. After much discussion, we decided to keep our date and do a small ceremony in a local park, with some friends while social distancing. Alex was amazing through the experience and flexible with our last minute change and, even though it was not our "perfect" wedding, we got some unique photos and memories to call back on. We also intended on having the "Wedding" we planned later in the year when all the dust settled, but I think everyone is extremely familiar with that time so I wont go into it. Needless to say, we didn't have our formal ceremony that year but we did want to be able to dress up in our respective outfits and get some of the wedding photos we missed out on. So, later in the summer, we packed all our things and re-enlisted Alex to, once again, shoot our "wedding". She could not have made the experience more special. She referred us to a friend that we got a cake from and the florist we used, also a referral from working with Alex, made us some amazing floral arrangements that fit beautifully into the wooded areas of the Deception Pass park, creating some stunning photos. While we may never got my first looks, first dances, or the ability to celebrate with the larger group that we had planned, thanks to Alex and referrals she helped us with, our wedding experience is one that we will never forget and one that I will never stop being appreciative of her for capturing. I cannot recommend her any more strongly, she obviously LOVES what she does and she is VERY good at it. HIRE ALEXANDRA KNIGHT PHOTOGRAPHY!

Hiring Alex was one of our best wedding decisions. We cared *a lot* about photography and looked at probably 60 vendors. We were searching for someone with a warm & goofy personality, technical skill, and artistic vision. Alex delivered above and beyond on those criteria, and more. Here’s what we loved about working with her:
First of all, Alex is kind and generous, and that counts for a lot with us. She was responsive, warm, silly, collaborative, communicative, and really easy to work with. Alex has a calm, goofy, and easygoing personality, which is GREAT energy to have at a wedding. She’s also able to command a group. She made us feel comfortable in front of the camera, as well as our friends and family (some of whom are very camera averse). She had good suggestions for poses, so we didn’t feel lost at all. Our family has been raving about Alex and the photos - they loved working with her, as did we.
We had a very intimate wedding - 22 guests. Our wishlist included lots of guest photos. We cared so much more about having great photos of our friends and family than what the place settings looked like. At the end of our family portrait time, Alex accommodated some impromptu groupings at the request of our family, giving our family & friends the chance to have some of their most important relationships documented, too. Those are some of our favorites - they are such gifts celebrating all these lovely people and relationships. She also, independently, took portraits of all our wedding guests. What a gift. These portraits are beautiful, they capture the essence of our loved ones and are something we will cherish.
Second, Alex is also incredibly organized and has outstanding time management. She was early to both our shoots. She made the most of our time both during engagement and wedding photos. We collaborated with her on a prioritized list of wedding shots. She reality-checked what we could realistically accomplish and she captured all our high priority items. She listened to our feedback from our engagement photos and rolled that into our wedding. She also flagged us a couple weeks ahead of our event that there was a chance of rain, and that we should get backup clear umbrellas (fortunately we didn’t need them).
Third, the photos are incredible. When we got our photos, we felt like we were reliving the day and we really couldn't be happier. We LOVE her use of color - that was a major contributing factor to hiring her. Alex is so technically and artistically skilled. Her images have masterful color, composition, lighting, and editing. They are beautiful. Alex is the real deal. She knows what she is doing and is a master of her craft. HIRE HER!! -

Alex was amazing to work with! Truly captured our day beautifully, planned a small wedding in a forest. Alex is the major reason to how smoothly our day went, providing the much needed guidance and suggestions. Her experience with elopements really showed. We were looking for a photographer that still worked with film because we cherish the art! We love the color, texture and candid moments film is able to capture. We were so excited to discover her work and fell in love. She was so easy to work with during our entire planning process. We enjoyed her creativeness during the entire process! -

There are so many good things to say about Alex! We were lucky to obtain her info from my wife's coworker for our engagement photos originally. We loved the results so much we asked Alex to capture our elopement as well at Rialto Beach. She's great to work with and the sessions were always fun and creative. It's important to her to go over her process with you which is wonderful so you'll know exactly what to expect. She also helped recommend an officiant that we used for our wedding which we were so grateful for. We definitely plan to use Alex for capturing all our special life moments in the future! -

Alex took our engagement photos which were great of course and were excellent for Christmas cards. Our wedding was scheduled for June but then... Covid. Alex was so on top of keeping us informed, being sympathetic to our situation, and helping us as we rescheduled our wedding completely. On our eventual wedding ceremony date this September she was prompt, followed all safety measures, and overall was on top of everything and professional. She helped wrangle our families for photos and had great suggestions for poses and locations to do pictures. The end result photos were amazing! She really captured the beauty of the day. The colors, the overall vibe, and just how happy we were. We have so many great posed and candid pictures of us, our family, and friends that we will treasure forever. Thank you so much, Alex! -

Hiring our wedding photographer was the highest on my list of to-dos, and Alex's style of capturing the fun, colors, and candids of the day captured my interest!
Alex was great at communicating (for our over year and half of planning), and open to chatting or coming to see the venue as much as we requested. She was flexible in working with my temperamental nephews (and got GREAT shots of them!!!), and highly supportive of our LGBTQ+ family members.
She was laid back for me, which was perfect as I'm super low maintenance and needed someone to be chill with, but also kept us on schedule and laid down the law when it came to moving forward with the day.
We have the most beautiful wedding photos and she even managed to get pictures of our dog, Bodhi the ring bearer, smiling!
Thanks, Alex for being the best and capturing our fun and big day perfectly. We can't wait to work with you again in the future for family photos.

Cannot recommend Alex highly enough. I came across her while looking for a photographer in the PNW who would be willing to accompany my partner and I on an elopement. When I first reached out to her I didn't really have a plan (and ended up changing the plan on her a few times... :) ) and she was 100% supportive and excited through the entire process. She was not only our photographer and only witness, but was also a huge help in us planning and understanding what to do and where to go. Her vast knowledge of photographer really shows when you are out shooting with her. We felt SO comfortable with her and the entire day was a complete blast! She does not lack professionalism - she stayed in constant contact leading up to the day, along with giving us sneak peeks and keeping us updated on when to expect everything else. She was transparent up front about availability, costs and everything else. It was so important for us to have an intimate elopement, and I really feel like we got so lucky finding Alex, I could not have imagined having a different photographer there. She checked all of our boxes! -

We highly recommend choosing Alex to photograph your wedding day. The photos she takes capture more than just the typical scenes of the day; they embody the emotions and spirit behind the special occasion. Upon receiving our final photos, we were able to relive the day (and had a hard time paring down which ones we wanted to share with everyone - so many amazing shots!).
Not only did we have a great time working with her at our wedding, but Alex was also incredibly thorough and an excellent communicator in the months leading up to the wedding. She was available via text and email to answer our many random wedding questions, not just about photography. This was really valuable to us.
We found Alex's prices to be really flexible and reasonable given the high quality of work. If you're choosing to invest in photography as one of the priorities in your wedding budget, you can't go wrong with Alex.

We really enjoyed our experience working with Alex. She is incredibly professional, thoughtful and extremely responsive. She did an amazing job capturing our wedding day. Alex is amazing. Not only is she your photographer, but you feel like she is a old friend. She’s always so courteous and does great with capturing the perfect moments that are you. I never knew someone could capture my husband and I’s love, but she did. It’s like out of a fairytale. She’s flexible, and what she brings/ provides, her prices are worth it. We did a destination wedding and she gave us options on how we would like our coverage over the weekend even, if we wanted it all the day of or a day after shoot at a cool location. Things change and people’s day of coverage can too, even day of. We told he the places we wanted to have pictures and she even scouted the locations to have the best vantage point. She’s always ready to make your dream come true when it comes to photography. She genuinely cares about her clients, you’re not just a booking. She only accepts a certain amount of work, so she can focus on capturing your day/moment as best as possible. It takes real skill to shoot in both digital/film and do it WELL. -

Alex documented our wedding day with grace, flexibility, and attention to our vision and our wonderful guests! When we look through our wedding photos, we’re transported back to that day: the people we love, the character of our venue, the joy we felt. Alex captured it all beautifully. Her photography is clearly both an art and a science, and Alex uses both digital and film cameras masterfully.
Alex’s professionalism and communication were also exceptional! She met with us in person early on and continued to stay in touch regularly. We appreciated that she scoped out our venue ahead of time and had backup plans in case of equipment failures, illness, transportation difficulties, and so on.
After our wedding, Alex kept us updated about the processing, and she mailed our portfolio of printed photos in a wooden box that now sits in our living room. We will treasure those photos for the rest of our lives! -

Incredible talent + human being!
Choosing Alex as our photographer was one of the best decisions we made, and one of the first vendors we booked. It is hard to imagine our day without her! Leading up to the wedding, she was helpful and so kind to us. She was genuinely so excited to share our day with us, and had fun with us throughout. Looking back on our photos is something we will do for the rest of our lives, and we are SO THANKFUL they were created by Alex!! -

We love that film allows for truly candid moments, and unique, real photo results. Alex was enthusiastic and accommodating at every turn, from the first meeting until the end of the second day of our wedding. We loved the value she offered in the form of proof prints, and the care she took in making our photography personal and special.
