Working with Danielle and the Alexander Homestead team made planning for a large event relatively simple. The team had vendor recommendations, checklists for decisions to make with simple “multiple choice” options so not to overwhelm me or the set-up team, and several free in-house rental items we could use for signage/décor.
The weekend of the wedding, Danielle was an incredible resource for set up, directing family members, keeping everyone hydrated, and overall keeping the day running smoothly. She coordinated the catering, beverage, and outside vendor teams with confidence and ease, so I never felt like I was having to check in on anyone.
The gardens were beautiful and well-maintained year-round, we were very relieved the weather cooperated for our big day so all the guests could enjoy the full space AH provided. Our guests had a great time and appreciated the flexibility to be inside or outside during the reception.
As far as flexibility on the planning front, my advice to brides is to be aware of what is included and what is provided at an additional cost. Overall we had a great experience with AH and would recommend them.Alexander Homestead by Wedgewood Weddings's reply:

If I could give Alexander Homestead more than five stars, I would gift-wrap them in gold and hand-deliver them back to the team. ⭐️
From the very first planning meeting to the last dance of the night, we felt genuinely cared for. As two busy working professionals, the structure and support from Wedgewood Weddings & Events made our planning process feel manageable and bite-sized instead of overwhelming. Every step was organized, clear, and thoughtful. It allowed us to actually enjoy being engaged instead of drowning in spreadsheets.
Sarah, Virginia, and Savannah were phenomenal. Truly. They anticipated needs before we even voiced them, answered every question with patience, and made us feel like our wedding was the only one that mattered. On the day of, Savannah in particular took such intentional care of both me and Kevin. She checked in constantly, kept things flowing seamlessly, and made sure we were present instead of stressed.
As chefs and hotel people, service is everything to us. The attention to detail did not go unnoticed. The team followed our directions perfectly, respected our vision, and executed it beautifully. A moment that meant the world to us was watching the service staff go above and beyond to help my autistic nephew find something “safe” to eat during dinner. That kindness and awareness is not something you can train into people. It’s heart.
We also loved the intentional use of small businesses throughout the process. You can feel that Alexander Homestead values community and craftsmanship, and that matters.
Our day felt seamless, warm, and deeply cared for from start to finish. We walked away not just married, but genuinely grateful.

Alexander Homestead is the perfect all-inclusive venue. From the amazing staff to the beautiful venue, putting it all together for your big day. Being able to pick and choose from a list of venues within the area that all try to give you the best pricing around, one of the biggest blessings. As a planner, it was so nice to have someone always there to answer any questions I had, understand what I was trying to find or do and helping make sure it all looked perfect the day of the wedding. Being able to enjoy the day you spend so much time planning, plus it goes by so fast, you want to be able to enjoy and not have to do a thing. Carolann & Danielle were THE BEST! August 31, 2024 was one for the book & we can’t recommend a better venue.

Alexander Homestead was the perfect wedding venue. I've passed by the main home seen from Sharon Amity all of my life and never knew one of Charlotte's best kept secret wedding venues was right in its backyard. After scheduling a tour and meeting the wonderful staff, we were blown away by the property and people. AH provides an in-service wedding planner, which was one of best things about booking them. Carolann and Danielle were incredible, provided us email/text reminders when milestones approached, and gave us confidence knowing we were going to be in great hands. They were fantastic to work with.
AH also provided in-house vendors, which was convenient. While you could choose to use an outside vendor (for a fee), we ended up going with almost all of their in-house vendors and services, because they were cost-effective and provided great service. From the DJ, Flowers, and the officiant, they were all awesome to work with.
On the wedding day itself, the wedding planners/staff made sure everything ran smoothly, and we can definitely say we were able to just enjoy our wedding day and not worry due to the amazing staff.
The property and venue is so scenic, from the gazebo and the main garden area to the barn yard/reception area, it made our wedding day so picturesque. Couldn't have asked for a better day.

The Most Beautiful Historic Home Venue
I wish I could leave ten stars.
I had the pleasure of taking photos for a March wedding. The weather was dicey and it misted ALL day, but the bride was determined to have an outside wedding. So the staff was prepared with umbrellas and towels to dry the seats. The rain stopped JUST in time.
The venue itself is gorgeous (and I was so excited to see tulips blooming). Their lead planner, Carolanne, was so friendly and professional and made sure that not only the bride, groom, their family and guests were taken care of but also checked in on me several times to make sure I didn’t need anything.
She made sure I was served lunch (and their in house catering made an AMAZING breakfast buffet - I’ve never had better shrimp and grits even on the coast) and the staff checked in on me while I was eating to make sure I was taken care of. I can promise you a venue who takes care of other vendors takes care of their clients even better.
The venue and lead planned were also in on a BIG surprise for the bride and we stayed in contact all day to pull it off seamlessly.
I can not say enough good things about the venue itself - from the gorgeous bridal suite and the cool and comfortable grooms cabin that allowed both the bride and groom to get ready with room for their friends to hang out to the absolutely stunning property.
Every staff member was polite and friendly. Their lead planner is an absolute pro (and had a timeline that flowed perfectly even with a last minute surprise from The Clemson Tiger and dicey weather).
11/10 recommend and I would absolutely get married here myself. I hope to be back soon. As nice as it was - it’s also incredibly photogenic! Win win in wedding photography world.

A beautiful experience
We recently got married at Alexander Homestead November 4th and honestly, the process couldn’t have been easier. This is definitely a place to go if you don’t want to hire a wedding planner because they’ve got it covered. That being said, they do give you the option to make it your own as much as possible so you don’t feel like you’ve got a cookie cutter wedding. The staff also goes above and beyond to make sure you feel heard and reassured. As much of a ball of nerves I was, I had ALOT of questions and our coordinator, Danielle, answered all of them… probably twice lol. The venue is stunning and it can accommodate both large and small weddings. lastly, they are open and honest about pricing from the very beginning. There was never any surprise costs at the end. We knew all the costs (including tax) from the initial appointment with the venue. I highly recommend this place to any couple who wants easy wedding planning. We held our son’s wedding at Alexander Homestead. This wasn’t our first wedding in the family and wow- what an amazing experience! The venue is not only stunning but can be as little or as much of a one stop experience as you would like and at comparable or sometimes lower pricing than you could get on your own. First, you aren’t wasting resources trying to make a banquet room presentable as the grounds and facilities are absolutely stunning. They allow a bridal session before the wedding so that is an added bonus. Pictures and social media posts were gorgeous. Our planner made everything run smoothly and alleviated stress while making sure things ran smoothly down to every detail! Food was fantastic and what a presentation to have the barn doors open and close for the buffet! We had misting rain in the morning and that would have been no issue had it continued. The Perfect Venue, Planning Process, & Team
The best experience we could have ever asked for! After looking at over 10 different venues in the Charlotte area we came across Alexander Homestead and fell in love with the venue, wedding planning process, and incredible staff. Carolanne was our planning and day of coordinator and took care of every detail and more, making the wedding planning process as stress free as possible. The most amazing venue!!!
I cannot sing enough praises about Alexander Homestead and their entire staff! While it is typically used for a wedding venue and an amazing one at that, my team utilized their venue to host our company's 10 year anniversary celebration and man did it impress our team! It's a beautiful spot to spoil any group and their help from start to finish was 2nd to none! They coordinated everything and made it so easy for me to meet deadlines and not miss a beat! We were fortunate to work closely with Carolann, our exceptional event planner. Despite the physical distance, she made us feel like her top priority from day one. An absolutely perfect day
There wasn't a single thing I would change about the process leading up to the day or the wedding day itself. We changed our date 2 times in the last 2 years due to the pandemic and Tirzah and her team couldn't have been more accommodating and helpful. They make the whole thing so easy to plan and take care of practically everything! I just dropped my random decorations off 2 days before with barely any explanation and it all went off without a hitch. People are still talking about how gorgeous the place was all in bloom. Fantastic through every step!

Working with the team at Alexander Homestead has been wonderful from the start. We contracted with AH in 2021 for our 2022 wedding, and each person we've worked with over the past year has been so gracious, patient, and genuine, and each member truly went above and beyond to make the day as lovely as it was and made us feel so special - including their partnered vendors that we worked with (Delish, All the Right Grooves, & Pink Petunia). Carolann was our fantastic coordinator, and even with all the tiny details we thought of as the day got closer (and the many emails), she made sure to make it all happen. There were so many details that we didn't even have to think about that were completely handled by Carolann & the AH team, and it made our already-chaotic year feel much less stressful.
Our biggest fear about working with an all-inclusive venue was feeling like our day would be "cookie cutter," but the AH team was more than happy to integrate all the tiny things we wanted to do to customize our day. It was truly a perfect blend of traditional + personalized. We are incredibly grateful.
Additionally, a month before the wedding, they announced a bridal suite package that let us get ready on-site, and I am so grateful it worked out that way. The weeks leading up to the announcement, my biggest stressor was trying to find a reasonably priced nice hotel to get ready at, figuring out transportation + timing, and figuring out how my friends that joined me for the morning of would get back to their cars after the night was done. Getting ready on-site the morning of made everything 1000% easier for us, and it let us truly relax and not be stressed for time since we didn't have to plan around travel times, traffic, transportation service delays, etc..
The only thing we wish could be different would be that we wish the buffet could stay open for longer. We were only halfway through our meals and they were already announcing they were closing soon, so we & our guests felt a little rushed. However, we were a little bit behind on schedule because of photo/video, so we understand that they needed to keep the schedule moving! But otherwise, we were extremely happy with everything (and the food was fantastic). All of our guests were extremely impressed with how smoothly the timeline occurred on their end, and everyone had a wonderful time. Best Day Ever!!!
Alexander Homestead is a beautiful rustic venue, with a beautiful garden and barn. Danielle Dolson coordinated the day perfectly. As a bride I was calm, cool and collected and able to enjoy the day. All the guests loved the food and had an amazing time. The vendors are amazing too!!!
Aryn Keogh at Delish Cakery made the day delicious.
Jody Watson at Pink Petunia made the day beautiful.
Jill Phillips at All the Right Grooves DJ Services made it a party.

10/10 experience!!
We truly couldn’t have picked a better place for our wedding! When we were looking at venue options, we immediately knew Alexander Homestead was *the one* during our tour and we cancelled the rest of the venue tours we had planned for later that week. Not only were the grounds stunning, but the AH staff was so friendly, knowledgeable, and professional and made it clear that they would take great care of us. We also loved that AH had a list of approved vendors who were familiar with the venue and had great reviews from other couples. Being able to book our florist (Pink Petunia), DJ (All the Right Grooves), and cake (Delish) all through AH made the process so much easier for us. Also, our day of coordinator, Tirzah, is THE BEST. Tirzah is professional, organized, kind, fun, and made sure that everything went smoothly during the weeks/days leading up to the wedding. On our wedding day, we were able to relax and just enjoy being completely in the moment because we knew Tirzah and the AH team had everything under control. The AH team truly went above and beyond to make our wedding day amazing and our guests are still raving about how much fun they had and how beautiful the venue was. After the wedding, people have asked us if there was anything that went wrong or if we would have changed anything… we feel so fortunate that we can honestly say “no, it was perfect!” We are so glad that we chose AH as our wedding venue and we can’t thank the AH team and their partner vendors enough for everything. Me and my husband Wesley got married at Alexander homestead 2 weeks ago and we have nothing but absolutely positive things to say about this gorgeous and amazing venue. Not only was the venue so incredibly beautiful, but all the folks at Alexander homestead were so very kind and helpful. Any questions/concerns we had were answered/resolved immediately and they were very helpful with the whole entire planning process. The food was incredible and the catering team was incredible as well. All of our guests were blown away and loved the venue and food as well. Best Night of Our Lives
Alexander Homestead's team throughout the entire process planning our wedding was the best. I cant imagine selecting a better venue. Nicole was great from our initial visit and Joy was the BEST wedding coordinator ever. She was so thoughtful, personable, and fun! I appreciate the flexibility with this venue- every vendor is up to you (but they give recommendations if you need them) except catering...but the food was so good!! Tirzah and her team gave me my dream wedding at the Alexander Homestead!! I used pretty much all of their vendors and they did not disappoint! Weddings are more stressful than I imagined and they really made things transparent and the easiest process and place I could find out there. My mom is a worrier and she was very anxious trying to support me. After our final meeting with Tirzah and Michelle, she said that she was actually excited now that she knew they had it taken care of! That really warmed my heart and they really do take care of it all!! Tirzah made sure I was ok throughout the event, snapped some great candid photos along the way and let me party without worry of what time it was! From a business perspective I appreciate their organized pricing and clarity on what is included, what is additional, and their responsiveness and attention to detail with questions. Rick, their minister, is top notch and really helped make the ceremony special with his charm. My husband loved it and said this was the way to do it!! I cannot even BEGIN to express how wonderful working with Alexander Homestead was. Nicole, Joy, Tirzah and the entire team are so wonderful, helpful and knowledgeable. My only regret is I didn't use MORE of their preferred vendors. From the initial tour to the final meeting to the day of, I was constantly surprised at how thoughtful and organized this team is. A HUGE thank you goes out to Joy who took on an additional role for our wedding after a staffing change and stepped in with immense grace. She is a TREASURE! Everything from the menu tastings to drink orders to linen choices was an absolute breeze. Incredible!
From our first tour with AH, the staff was transparent of what the entire experience would look like and they did not disappoint. The entire wedding weekend was seamless because of the teams expertise and ability to communicate clearly. We were lucky enough to work with the owner closely, Tirzah, who is the catch all of traits. She’s incredibly committed to her company and clients, kind and understanding, consistently checked on us being OK all night long, ensuring our vision was carried out, protecting us from all bumps that came our way, and handles every situation and part of the experience with ease and grace.
In addition to that, the venue is stunning, the guests raved about the food that is also a part of the package deal with AH, the full time staff was all professional and excellent at being so under the radar, you barely even noticed they were there.

The best team for our magical day
When I read the reviews before having my wedding here, I kept hearing how stress-free a wedding with AH is. As someone who planned during Covid and got to celebrate this June, I can firmly say that the staff at AH are the people you want in your corner on your big day. Also, I heard countless times from my guests all night and over the past few weeks after the wedding how fun it was to wander the garden, roast marshmallows over the bonfire, and flow in and out of the barn during the reception. Our experience with Alexander Homestead was everything you’d want in a venue and about as seamless as you could hope. From start to finish you can tell they are GREAT at what they do. The walkthrough with Nicole was informative, relaxed but made us excited for the event. Our event manager Chris brought a calming poise to the entire planning process. She gave great advice, kept everything on track and was a secret ninja the day of making sure everything ran smoothly and we, as Brides were well cared for. Could not have asked for a better experience, especially planning our wedding during covid. We were one of the fortunate couples who were able to keep our original date this year, but that didn't stop the AH team from being extreamly communicative on every update, doing as much as they possibly could while ensuring that all mandates were being followed and everyone from us, our guests and their staff were safe and protected. I never once had to worry about anything, and I am a worrier so that is truly saying something! Tirzah, Nicole and Chris were all so fantastic, and Chris's day of support went above and beyond- she even did quite a bit of my bustle up, which was fairly intricate with my dress. Unbelievably perfect
I can't begin to put into words how phenomenal our experience at Alexander Homestead was. Due to Covid, we had to reschedule our wedding not once but twice! Tirzah and the rest of her stuff were so understanding and were happy to work with us to accomodate & ensure our wedding was the perfect day. In working with the team for over two years now, we have had nothing but consistently wonderful experiences. The AH team will always have a special place in my heart.
On a practical level, for future brides, please do yourself the favor of taking advantage of the inclusive options at AH. Having almost all of our vendors organized by AH took a huge amount of stress out of the wedding planning process. There is a huge relief in knowing each vendor is comfortable with the venue, and I never once worried about the day. Not only did I have the most amazing night, my guests were blown away as well. They gushed over the beautiful venue and said it was the best wedding they've been to!

I fell in-love with Alexander Homestead and selected them as my venue, and it was the best decision I have ever made. After touring many beautiful venues, it was clear that AH was set apart compared to anything in the Charlotte area. On our tour they spent so much time with us, walking us through how our entire wedding day would go at. their venue, I really was able to envision myself getting married there. They were supportive each and every day. This venue knows exactly what they re doing, they are legitimate experts in the wedding world. Yet, I was also able to exercise my own creative freedoms and make the process feel like "mine." With this venue you will feel supported and cared for. Their professionalism, genuineness, and passion for weddings is unmatched. Not only is the venue itself breathtaking, but the attention to detail and constant support is breathtaking as well. Wedding planning will always be stressful, but AH really lightened our load tremendously. You will not regret getting married here. We are so happy with our wedding experience at Alexander Homestead. We don’t live in Charlotte and were planning our wedding from afar. We picked AH because they were upfront with the cost, offered well reviewed vendors, and were easy to communicate with when we had questions.
The staff was so amazing on our wedding day. There was a forecast for a thunderstorm right around the time of our outside ceremony. The wedding coordinator communicated with us throughout the weekend about contingencies for the ceremony, but we decided to keep it outside. The rain held off until just after the ceremony finished and the staff were ready with over 100 umbrellas for our guests. Everyone was able to make it in to the reception hall dry.
We recommend sticking with their vendors, we had great experiences with all of them. They all had great customer service. We were able to enjoy our wedding and have fun with our guests, and not worry about the timeline and small details because the vendors and AH staff worked together well and made it all run so smoothly.
We provided a lot of the decorations and signage for the reception. AH was upfront about what they had and could offer. We paid for a basic table setting package, and spruced it up on our own. If you’re wanting more you would have to pay or plan to bring your own decorations.
Bottom line - we had so much fun at our wedding. It was the beautiful and perfect happy day that it should be. We get so much joy out of remembering little (and big) moments that happened throughout the day, and we have AH to thank for that.Alexander Homestead by Wedgewood Weddings's reply:

Exactly what we wanted.
Having our wedding here at Alexander was the best choice that we could have made. We wanted a personal, non-traditional type low key event and the staff 100% made it happen for us. The process from beginning to the wedding day was seamless. The venue itself, both inside and outside is spectacular, the food outstanding, the music on point, and the staff could not be any friendlier. Our guests couldn’t say enough positive things about their experience there. It truly is a wonderful place to get married. Alexander Homestead, where your dreams are turned into reality! Where do I begin? My husband, Jordan, and I had the best day of our lives at THE Alexander Homestead Wedding venue in Charlotte, NC on May 25, 2019. Just a quick background, my name is Nia and my husband and I live in NYC and, yes we got married in Charlotte! Below I will review various aspects of our wedding planning process and the amazing experience we had working with Alexander Homestead!
1. THE TEAM- Chris, our event coordinator was an absolute ALL-STAR! She helped us through every step of the wedding planning process and answered all of the (thousands) of questions we had. Chris ran a smooth show the actual day of our wedding. Everything ran so smoothly! Nicole, is awesome as well, Jordan and I toured AH about 3 times before our wedding. We loved the place that much and we planned the wedding from out of town so we wanted to see it every chance we got! Tirzah, one of the owners, made my family and I feel right at home the first day we went to tour the venue. There was such a peaceful, warm and welcoming energy that made my family and I feel “at home”.
2. PLANNING- It was rather easy to plan a wedding from out of town because AH guided us through the entire process. AH is an ALL- INCLUSIVE venue where they provide you with all of the vendors you would need to plan a wedding. This includes: the DJ, florist, caterer, baker, officiant, videographer, photographer, etc. My husband and I used all of the vendors AH offers, minus the photographer, videographer, officiant and DJ. The all inclusive aspect played a HUGE part in us selecting our venue especially since we would be planning from out of town. Chris gave us a timeline to meet with the AH vendors. AH works directly with their vendors so there is no middle man in this process. Once, my husband and I met with the florist, baker and tasted the food. AH was notified immediately and things were handled with professionalism as all involved parties helped us plan our big day!
3. THE BIG DAY- May 25th is a day we will never forget! Chris, was phenomenal the day of! Everything was organized and the wedding started on time! The grounds were beautiful, all of the staff were friendly and professional! Everyone was so kind to us. Jordan and I cannot say thank you enough! There was so much love overflowing that day. From the wedding party, to the bartenders, there was such a beautiful vibe and energy that flowed the entire night! Thanks again to the entire AH team, especially Chris, for all of your hard work! Your hard work did not go unnoticed! Alexander Homestead comes highly recommended! They turned our DREAM into REALITY!

We could have not asked for a better experience than the one we had with the Alexander Homestead. From our first meeting to leaving our reception everything was wonderful. Tirzah and Bradley have a beautiful property with a phenomenal staff. The all-inclusive planning the Homestead offers made planning so much easier for us and the vendors they contract with are top notch. Christiana was helpful every step of the way and we could not be more thankful for her and her help - even on the day of the wedding she made sure a few specifics we wanted last minute were taken care of, like a drink I wanted during the reception being kept at the bar for me to have access to only. I'm so happy we chose the Homestead to get married. The venue is strikingly beautiful and guests loved it. The food is AMAZING - we had the bbq chicken and pulled pork, guests raved about the mac and cheese! They have relationships with many vendors that make your day easy and provide discounts; we went with their florist who was amazing!
Despite it being late October the Homestead was beautiful and very much alive with many flowers of every color, making for fabulous photos. Even when we toured the venue in late December the year before it was still colorful and pretty.
Tirzah and Dakota took over planning for our big day after some staff shake-ups and did a really great job of making us feel taken care of. I am a very type-A bride and came to them with pages and pages of what I wanted for decor and they knocked it out of the park. I was very relaxed the entire wedding day because I trusted them 100% to make my vision come true. A month before our wedding the grounds sustained damage from a hurricane and a tree fell on part of the home, I was obviously freaking out but Tirzah immediately sent an email out and did a FB live to show the damage, assuring her brides that everything would be OK. By the time our wedding came around the grounds were immaculate and the only sign of any damage was a bit of scaffolding over part of the home. I really appreciated the way she understood how much of a big deal this was and kept us in the loop. It really shows how much they care about their couples and treat them like family and not just customers.
Alexander Homestead made our wedding day dreams come true and I highly recommend it to everyone! -

I'm not even sure where to begin. Tirzah and the entire AHS team were absolutely amazing. They were so helpful and understanding through the entire process. Working with them was a breeze and they made our special day totally stress free. Tirzah, the owner, was also our day-of coordinator. She was so sweet and made everything go so smoothly. We used the venue's contracted vendors: Pink Petunia Designs, Nona's Sweets, and All the Right Groves. They were all so great, and the wonderful ladies at AHS made sure all the scheduling was handled for us.
The in-house catering was delicious. We went with the BBQ buffet, and everyone went back for seconds. The bartenders were great, and the staff helped with cleanup afterwards.
The entire venue proved a beautiful backdrop for the evening. I can't wait to get our pictures back!
Overall a fantastic experience. 10/10 would get married here again.

The vendors they pair up with are hands down true 5 star ratings. The food, the DJ, the florest, all came together and just made everything just perfect. The food was unbelievable I wish they had a restaurant because I couldn’t get enough. Robin Sent on 10/09/2018Wow wow wow! We cannot say enough good things about Tirzah and her whole team at Alexander Homestead. They made our dream wedding come true on Sunday! My husband (!!) and I are both super busy and involved in our community so it was important to us that we chose a venue that would be inclusive and hands on so that we could relax and enjoy the day. Tirzah constantly went above and beyond throughout the day to make sure that everything was perfect and we are so grateful. If you are looking for a venue that is low-stress but allows you to personalize your day -- this is the place to be. You do have to use some of their in-house vendors (catering) but they are incredibly accommodating and we felt like we were still able to make the day our own. Our day was amazing thanks in large part to the Alexander Homestead team.

Tracy Sent on 08/14/2018I would highly recommend Alexander Homestead to any family for their daughters big day. My daughter got married there in May and the property was absolutely gorgeous. AH is the total package. I loved their flexibility. They allow you to use any vendor that you want but they also have a list of vendors they recommend if you don’t have your own. My father owns a florist so obviously we wanted to use him. We did use the other vendors AH recommended and they all did a great job. The venue was absolutely stunning in May. The flowers were in full bloom and the weather was perfect! The venue was very well taken care of and clean. Above the beauty of this venue what I loved the most was working with Christy. Christy was our point of contact and wedding day coordinator. I feel that I personally am high maintaince and expect a lot from people. Christy delivered every time. Her response time was quick, thorough and she defiantly knew her business. There was never a question or concern that I had that she wasn’t able to resolve. Christy was attentive during the entire process. Her customer service exceeded any expectations that I had. I would put her up against anyone in the wedding business and know confidently that she would be second to none! Not only did she work well with us but she always did it with a smile. Christy made us feel like we were the only wedding that mattered. My daughters wedding day was fun, relaxing and very enjoyable because I was confident that Christy and AH had every detail of the day laid out just as we wanted. It was a magical day in a magical place with superior service. Thank you Christy and AH for making my daughters day a true Fairy Tale!

Julia Sent on 07/18/2018Alexander Homestead exceeded our expectations!! We had our wedding reception at Homestead and it was BEAUTIFUL! We had a lot of out of town guests, and they could not get over how incredible the venue was.
Right before we got engaged, my parents found Homestead and right after we got engaged they went to the venue (I was living out of town). They face timed me and we loved it SO much that they booked it before I even saw it in person!
They do a wonderful job and accommodated exactly what we wanted to do. Especially considering we had a short engagement (just over 5 months), they made it possible! Emily Sent on 01/17/2018The Alexander Homestead was the perfect, magical wedding venue that I had always dreamed of. I had already visited numerous venus and knew I hadn’t found the “right” one yet when my mom and I pulled into the beautiful, gated property. My reaction to the Homestead was immediate. It was breathtaking. After the initial tour, I knew this was the venue for me. The staff was wonderful, accommodating my needs and paying attention to every detail. The day of the wedding was perfect. Christi and the staff members took care of everything, as I was confident they would. The guest raved on and on about how beautiful and perfect everything was. I used the outdoor space for smores and hot chocolate stations, along with a photo booth. One of my favorite parts of the evening was spending time with my husband in the bridal suite sharing a private dinner why the guests had cocktail hour. The food was set-up and ready upon our arrival and was absolutely delicious. You won’t be disappointed in this venue!

Amber Sent on 01/03/2018We could say a million amazing things about this venue, but for all the brides out there, all you need to know is this venue makes your wedding day STRESS FREE!! They take care of everything for you so you can just show up and enjoy your special day. Our wedding day coordinator, Christi West, was incredible and went above and beyond to make my vision come true for the look and feel of the ceremony and reception. My husband and I could not be happier with how things went and we are still talking about how beautiful the ceremony was. It was a magical evening! We loved using their recommended florist, photographer, videographer, and baker. The only thing I would advise is to book your own DJ rather than the house DJ (or hire a band!). Other than that, we LOVED everything about our wedding day and the whole process leading up to it. Our meetings with the staff made us feel extremely confident about the wedding day, and it went exactly as planned, if not better!!

Amanda Sent on 10/24/2017The Alexander Homestead is incredible! I had been scoping out wedding venues online and this was one of my top picks in the Charlotte area. We went and looked at a few other venues but ultimately fell in love with this venue as soon as we toured it - it's beautiful! This is an all-inclusive venue, meaning you pay one amount and they take care of the DJ, Florist, Bakery, and officiant. We still met with all of these vendors individually and they are all wonderful! We were put into very good hands and everyone came together to make it a smooth and flawless event. Wedding planning was not stressful because they took care of so much for us! Christi (the event coordinator we had there) was great and I couldn't have asked for better communication throughout the process. She was easy to reach for any questions I had. She was very helpful on the wedding day and she was right there to make sure everything stayed organized and according to schedule. I brought all of my decorations, place cards, wedding favors, etc the night before the wedding and Christi made sure that everything was put exactly where it was supposed to be on the wedding day. This made it so we had nothing to remember or bring on the wedding day. The one downfall is that there is a very high guest minimum for Saturday nights, and we wanted a small wedding. We had our wedding on a Friday night which worked out fine but it would have been nice for Saturday to be an option.
Thank you so much for helping us have the perfect wedding day! Not just with the venue but with all the assistance that comes with booking the venue. I am very happy with my decision to have had my wedding here and I can't tell you how many guests still talk about how wonderful everything was! Such a great experience! -
