User2134626 Sent on 05/16/2015We cannot say enough about Alex! She's amazing to work with--so personable and relaxed. She has a great eye for detail and wants you to look amazing in your photos (i.e. you don't have to worry about a stray hair or the wrinkle in your dress). She's also a photo ninja--capturing great moments without being pushy or directing you or your guests.
Besides being a fantastic photographer, Alex is also very responsive and organized. Her pre-wedding questionnaire was a great way to help us organize our formal family photo session. We got through in time for everyone to enjoy themselves at the reception. We highly recommend Alex Bee Photo! -

Julia Sent on 08/01/2013From the beginning, my husband and I agreed that photography was absolutely the most important thing to us concerning our wedding. We met with and spoke with several photographers but just couldn't find someone we felt like we connected with until we met Alex Bee. Immediately after our first meeting, we agreed that we felt like we had been friends with her for our entire lives! It didn't take long for us to decide that we HAD to have her as part of our wedding. She has so many incredible ideas as well as tips and advice. She answered every question I had, even if they were stupid. We felt so comfortable and so at ease in front of the camera, for the first time ever! The quality of her work is absolutely outstanding. You just cannot stop looking at them. I was at the mall when I received the e-mail on my phone that our pictures were done. Immediately I found a place to sit and, for an hour, I scrolled through the pictures, laughing and crying to myself. The pictures are just so incredible, it was as if I was back in that day reliving every moment again! Alex Bee is so much more than a photographer. Our wedding would not have been the same without her, and we have beautiful keepsakes to remember it all thanks to her. I could never say enough about her! I would highly recommend her to anyone getting married! -

Kristen Sent on 06/03/2012I've put off writing this review for a little while, because I have trouble coming up with the words to describe just how amazing Alex is, and I worry that no review that I write will be good enough to express what I really want to say about her and her work.
From the first correspondance, Alex went above and beyond. She was originally booked for the first date that I inquired about and offered to take time to contact other photographers that she knew who fit the style I desired and our budget and see if they were available for our date and travel. I was so impressed with how willing she was to go out of her way and help us when we weren't even her clients. A few days later some wedding plans changed and we found ourselves looking at a new date. I immediately contacted Alex to see if she was available for the new date and she was! There was absolutely no doubt at that point that she would be the photographer we'd hire.
Leading up to our wedding, communication was always comfortable and effortless. Whenever I contacted her about something, her reply was always prompt and thorough. Both professional and friendly.
We actually brought Alex from Tennessee to Maryland to photograph our wedding, and because we, ourselves, live in Boston we were unable to do our engagement session until the evening before our wedding. Alex met us at our wedding rehearsal on Friday afternoon to get a feel for our venue and ceremony space, then spent her own time afterwards scouting a location for engagement session that was taking place later that evening (since we were unfamiliar with the area as well). I'm telling ya… above and beyond.
When we took our engagement and wedding photos, I never felt so comfortable with having my photograph taken. Alex has such a warm and fun personality that it is easy to relax and forget about the camera. She helps you feel at ease and everything is so natural. We had so much fun working with her.
Lastly, the final product that she produces is amazing. We have gotten so many compliments on our photos. I couldn't be happier with them and I will continue to shout it from the roof tops just how amazing Alex Bee Photo is. -
User2660526 Sent on 06/24/2016We chose Alex as our wedding photographer because she was recommended to us by another professional photographer who was booked on our date. The recommendation was along the lines of, "Alex is so good, I wish I had used her for my own wedding". If that's not a good sign about her work I don't know what is. Alex blew us away with what she captured. She finds beauty in all of its forms, from even the smallest & quietest moments. She does all of the normal, typical shots like the portraits, but what sets her apart is her way of taking the pictures that actually capture the feeling of the day. On top of her skill & talent, she is extremely professional. She will guide you through the entire process from engagement to wedding like a true expert. The icing on the cake is that she is really sweet and funny, and made us feel comfortable (even when we were nervous in front of the camera for our engagement pictures). My husband and I love our pictures, and so does our whole family. A lot of people have told me that they cried looking at them because it brought them right back to the wedding day. I can't say enough about her! I would recommend her to anyone.
