Erin is AMAZING!!! From our very first email with her, she was incredibly responsive and professional while also being incredibly easy to communicate with. Throughout every interaction we had with her, whether via email, text, phone call, or in-person, Erin somehow maintained a very rare (and incredibly impressive) combination of remaining informal and super easy to talk to while still exemplifying a top tier level of professionalism. As someone who generally has no idea what to do in front of a camera, it was amazing how quickly Erin got us out of our shells - we never felt self-conscious at all, and she was able to get amazing shots that looked and felt like us with minimal prompting. We took advantage of the opportunity to do an engagement shoot with Erin, which we highly recommend because not only are the photos gorgeous, but it gave her an opportunity to get to know us and our personalities in advance. This translated to an even more comfortable and seamless interaction at the wedding, and truly perfect photos that captured all the emotion of the moment and the personalities of us both. Erin also had an insanely quick turnaround time with both the engagement shoot and the sneak peak images from our wedding. I can’t recommend working with her highly enough - whether for your own wedding or family photos or anything else!!

Erin was incredible! She made us feel so comfortable as bride and groom, and her second photographer, Matthew, was also incredible and so personable too. They were able to walk into two mildly stressful settings, for getting ready and the actual ceremony, and learned so many names, held babies, told jokes, and took such beautiful photos! 100% recommend Erin to anyone looking for a laidback, professional photographer!

Erin was one of the first vendors we hired. The witty humor she showed on her website and throughout our communication leading up to the wedding sold me! I knew I wanted a photographer that made me feel comfortable wedding day, and Erin was great. She also gave us advice to help us identify other vendors in the area that would be good to work with. And she sent us photos pretty shortly after the wedding, which was so impressive in the busy October wedding season. Would definitely recommend!

We cannot thank Erin enough for truly capturing our wedding day (10.6.24) and the love my husband and I have for each other. She set herself apart from other photographers due to her candid style, natural lighting, and the use of movement within her photos. Erin and Matthew were amazing!! Erin was communicative leading up to our big day and was so helpful providing suggestions while also being flexible to our needs/wants. The cabin we got married at was not really scenic, so we discussed beforehand that we’d go offsite for photos - they helped us choose a great location and captured unique moments with us and our entire party. She and Matthew helped us make the most of our scheduled photo time being so organized and efficient, and they were fully accepting of us just being ourselves the entire time. They were super professional but also so fun!! We got our photos back in a timely manner and couldn’t be happier with them. In addition to the great experience we had with her during planning and the day-of, she is clearly very skilled behind-the-scenes and we love her editing style. I would definitely recommend EMP, especially if you live out of town and are choosing the Smokies for a destination wedding.

Erin was truly a Godsend to us for our recent vow renewal in Cades Cove. She took care of our permit, and helped me find an officiant and stylist. On the day of, the weather was not looking good, so she called us ahead of time to see if we wanted to move things up and even called the officiant to arrange the change. Unfortunately, we still didn't beat the rain, but she was determined to give me the vision I wanted so we relocated the ceremony indoors for everyone's safety, and after the worst of the weather passed, she took us to some beautiful outdoor spots to finish our shoot. I got the email earlier tonight that our gallery was ready (wedding was only 6 days ago) and I am in awe of her talent! Even the ones I feared would come out dark because of the weather, look amazing. A rainy day was not in the plan, but Erin still made it work and far exceeded my expectations! This is a woman who is passionate about her work as well as the dreams of her client, and it shows 1000%.
