Literally the best!
We cannot thank Erin enough for truly capturing our wedding day (10.6.24) and the love my husband and I have for each other. She set herself apart from other photographers due to her candid style, natural lighting, and the use of movement within her photos. Some of our favorite photos are of us on spinning, dancing, or simply just walking. She makes you feel at ease and gives you great directions if you feel awkward. Best Wedding Photographer in East TN!
Erin and Matthew were amazing!! Erin was communicative leading up to our big day and was so helpful providing suggestions while also being flexible to our needs/wants. The cabin we got married at was not really scenic, so we discussed beforehand that we’d go offsite for photos - they helped us choose a great location and captured unique moments with us and our entire party. She and Matthew helped us make the most of our scheduled photo time being so organized and efficient, and they were fully accepting of us just being ourselves the entire time. They were super professional but also so fun!! We got our photos back in a timely manner and couldn’t be happier with them. In addition to the great experience we had with her during planning and the day-of, she is clearly very skilled behind-the-scenes and we love her editing style. I would definitely recommend EMP, especially if you live out of town and are choosing the Smokies for a destination wedding.

We had the absolute pleasure of working with Erin for our proposal, engagement photos, and wedding, and we couldn't be happier with the experience. Erin captured every special moment beautifully and created memories that we will cherish forever.
Despite rain in the forecast, Erin made sure to hit all of our wish list locations, showcasing her incredible efficiency and dedication. We covered so much ground thanks to her well-organized approach.
From the very beginning, Erin made us feel comfortable in front of the camera, which is no small feat considering I usually feel awkward. Her friendly and professional demeanor put us at ease and allowed us to enjoy the process fully.

Erin was truly a Godsend to us for our recent vow renewal in Cades Cove. She took care of our permit, and helped me find an officiant and stylist. On the day of, the weather was not looking good, so she called us ahead of time to see if we wanted to move things up and even called the officiant to arrange the change. Unfortunately, we still didn't beat the rain, but she was determined to give me the vision I wanted so we relocated the ceremony indoors for everyone's safety, and after the worst of the weather passed, she took us to some beautiful outdoor spots to finish our shoot. I got the email earlier tonight that our gallery was ready (wedding was only 6 days ago) and I am in awe of her talent! Even the ones I feared would come out dark because of the weather, look amazing. A rainy day was not in the plan, but Erin still made it work and far exceeded my expectations! This is a woman who is passionate about her work as well as the dreams of her client, and it shows 1000%.Erin Morrison Photography's reply:

It was Erin Morrison Photography that stood out, Erin in particular was an absolute joy to work with! From our very first meeting, she put us at ease with her warm, friendly personality and genuine enthusiasm for capturing our special day. She took the time to understand our vision and what was most important to us. Her ideas were built around who we were as a couple, rather than fitting us into a standard mold.
On our wedding day itself, she was the epitome of professionalism, arriving early and working tirelessly throughout. Her calm, upbeat demeanor kept us relaxed in front of the camera. Erin. Is. Amazing! We’d give her a million stars if I could! She is kind, helpful, welcoming, talented and so reliable. She was able to wrangle our large wedding party and make photos so much fun. We wanted a romantic feel to our photos and she went above and beyond to make our ideas come to life. Being out of state, we knew we could trust her to take care of all of our photography wants and needs. Perfect Photos
My wife and I were unsure of what photographer to go with for our wedding in the Knoxville area. We found Erin and as soon as we spoke to her we could tell she knew what she was doing. After deciding to go with Erin she was able to help us with a plan of getting ready on wedding day to allow for pre wedding pictures and take some of the organizing off of our plate. When I first got engaged and started planning, I had no idea on a vision or anything for my wedding. I knew I wanted a destination wedding and I knew that photos would be one of the most important things to me. I found Erin through my wedding planner and when I tell you she did not disappoint, I mean it. She was so amazing to work with and really created the vision I had for my photos. Her and her team were absolutely wonderful. You will not be disappointed if you book her for any type of photography. Finding a good photographer is always hard, but she went above and beyond and got our pictures back in a timely fashion and really helped us relive our day! The Best Wedding Photographer!
I spent days on Instagram and Facebook looking for the *perfect* wedding photographer. I finally found Erin Morrison on Instagram and fell in love with her photos and editing style. The absolute best
After booking our wedding venue, booking our photographer was the next thing we did. Not because of any checklist, but because we saw the photos Erin Morrison had taken previously at our wedding venue and we immediately knew that wanted her to be part of our special day. Erin is excellent in her communication via email and phone. It is apparent through her emails and on our wedding day that she is a hype woman! She has such great energy and a true passion for what she does. We love Erin’s editing style and the moments she is able to capture. We loved working with Erin and her second shooter, Matthew, for our April 2023 wedding. We just received our sneak peek and are blown away with how amazing the photos are. We used Erin Morrison Photography for our wedding photos and engagement photos. She was amazing to say the least!
Erin has a great personality and she’s so easy to work with. Before we hired her she wanted to chat on the phone to discuss what all she offered and what I was looking for in a photographer. After the call, I knew I wanted her to handle the photography for our wedding and I was so happy she was available.
For our engagement pictures, it was just the three of us. My husband and I aren’t great at natural poses. Erin told us what to do, how to pose and our photos turned out great! Everyone loved our engagement photos and they had nothing but great things to say.
Erin had a second photographer for wedding and Matthew was great too! He was so fun to work with! We chose to not do a first look so Erin did shots with me and my bridesmaids then with the groom and his groomsmen. Everyone in the wedding party was happy with how fast the photos went! All of the planned photos went so quickly so we were able to get to other wedding festivities.
We received our sneak peaks within two weeks of the wedding. Our entire wedding album was delivered within six weeks as promised. The photos were phenomenal and there were so many!! I loved all the shots Erin got including the pictures of our wedding guests. Our friends loved all of our pictures and we can’t wait to get a wedding album done. Since our wedding, I’ve had a few friends ask about our photographer and I was happy to recommend Erin to them.
Her experience as a photographer really helped our wedding day go smoothly as far as pictures went. We couldn’t have asked for a better photographer.Erin Morrison Photography's reply:

Perfection
Erin is INCREDIBLE. She is so relaxed and made my wedding day seamless. We hired Erin for our wedding in 2020, and then Covid hit and we had to postpone. Twice. Erin was so compassionate and willing to work with us through all of it. When the day finally came, she and Freddie were so professional, excited, and a joy to work with! They took us all over our venue to get different shots with different backgrounds and views. Erin was open to our ideas, but had great ideas of her own on how/when/where to get so many great shots. We had our dog as our ring bearer and she even made sure to include him in the pictures! After the wedding she got the pictures to us faster than I would have imagined as well, and every single one of them was so perfect! She did an incredible job of capturing so many memories for us. Erin is the BEST! She is so talented and was so easy to work with. As I was planning our wedding, it was really important to me that I find a photographer that would be understanding of our unique situation. Not only were we having a destination wedding and planning it in the midst of Covid. But we were also going with a venue that had not even been built yet. Needless to say, I was that bride that had a lot of questions. Erin was so easy going about everything and went above and beyond to answer them. Of course on the day of our wedding, the weather wasn't ideal, as it rained most of the day/night. But that didn’t stop Erin from capturing some amazing photos. She also had the best attitude about it and it didn’t even phase her. Erin’s down-to-earth personality really allowed us to enjoy the day and I think that shows within her work. Amazing time and stunning photos!
Erin was amazing to work with! We had an issue with another photographer cancelling on us and Erin totally stepped in and blew us away with her amazing skills! Not only did we get great pictures, but she helped me with outfit suggestions ahead of time and made us so comfortable the whole time. Erin was the PERFECT choice for our post-wedding/honeymoon photos! My husband and I are not the best picture takers or posers so we didn’t know what to expect out of our session. Erin made this experience fun, upbeat, silly, and nothing felt posed. It was an experience we will never forget. Most of all, Erin made us feel comfortable and like we had known her all our life even though we just met. I knew the pictures would be good because I had seen her work, but when we got them back I was truly blown away. 10/10 recommend Erin to anyone for any type of photo session. We plan to travel just to use her again for any future couple sessions. -

Long story short, we hired Erin for our engagement, our elopement, and our wedding reception. So we've had the honor of working with her THREE times, and each time we fell even more in love with her style, professionalism, and ability to make the experience relaxed and fun! We couldn't get enough of her awesomeness! For our engagement shoot, she went INTO a river to get a shot. For our elopement, it was a last minute request--since it happened during Covid--and she still drove up a terrifying mountain just for a quick and private ceremony. For our twice-rescheduled wedding reception, she knocked it out of the park--but at this point we weren't worried at all. She does such an amazing job of creating moments that feel natural and they turn into STUNNING photos. If you're uncomfortable in front of a camera and think you look awkward, she'll change that--I assure you. She truly cares about the couples she works with, and we are so blessed to have had her as a part of our really long wedding journey. Amazing!! Kept us laughing, no fake smiles.
We booked Erin for our engagement and wedding after seeing her amazing work in instagram. As two people who hate pictures we were nervous for our engagement shoot, as we thought we would be unbelievably awkward. Erin did an amazing job of making us laugh throughout our entire session our pictures litter our house. We were so bummed when COVID-19 resulted in us postponing our wedding. We found Erin on Instagram and sought out her services because of her quality of photos. From the moment I submitted a request and got the questionnaire back, we were convinced we needed to use her. Our whole experience was her website, questionnaire, phone call, communication, execution was fun, light, professional, intentional, and creative. We felt like ourselves while being photographed and had the most incredible time loving each other in front of the camera lens. AND then we got the final product back and holy moly, the quality of photos was impeccable. I would highly recommend Erin and her services along with just getting a chance to know her. Turns out, Erin is 100 percent that good.
Erin shot our engagement photos in March and our wedding in October, 2019. Like many have mentioned in previous reviews, I was drawn to Erin’s use of light, nature, and mountain vibes. But, you can see those things for yourself in her work. So, I’ll talk a little about what you might not be able to see by just looking at her photos. Erin has an ability to form honest connection, a genuine desire to help, and a type A level of organization that mitigated so much stress for us. She was always willing to answer questions and point us in the direction of helpful resources. She is passionate and professional. Erin has a true gift for creating and capturing moments. My wife and I went back and forth about hiring a videographer. As the wedding came and went, I was feeling really disappointed that we decided to forgo that expense. No matter how hard you try, it is impossible to be fully present for every moment of your wedding. Without a professional video, I felt like I had missed out on so many moments...until I got our photos back. What I love most about our photos is that they are living, breathing images. You can see the movement, the joy, the fun, and the love in each one. When I look at them, I see the care put into each bouquet of flowers, the tears of laughter rolling down my Man of Honor’s face, and the childlike joy as my Dad does the shoulder roll to Meghan Trainor. I probably had my heart set on Erin, based solely on her work, before I had ANYTHING else planned or picked out! Then I spoke to her and the ease talking to her, her through and professional manner, AND she was within my budget sold me! SCORE!!
I was so nervous about being on the other side of the camera, but that all changed when we met in Cades Cove and we finally got to hang out! It was like hanging out with my two best friends, laughing, catching up, and being on a photography adventure.. all my favorite things! Then came the pictures from our engagement shoot! I was speechless! Being a plus size girl I feared I wouldn’t like me in my pictures. My first thing I do when looking at a pic of me is to pick myself apart and criticize everything about me. Honestly I didn’t know I could look like that! Erin knows all the right angles and flattering poses! She is a true pro at what she does!
Our wedding day was completely seamless as far as our photography was concerned! Our second shooter was Freddie with Clint James photography and him and Erin compliment one another very well! They fit in perfectly with our diverse group of family and friends. Seriously it was like we all knew each other for years! They were amazing at catching things I never thought of, and everything I wanted. The artistry and creativity put into our wedding photos leave me speechless! The first time I talked to Erin I told her I wanted someone who could tell the story of our wedding day through photos. We live in Louisiana and got married in Pigeon Forge, TN. So our small intimate destination wedding would also mean some of our loved ones wouldn’t be able to make it. It’s very important to me to share it with them and our generations to come! I am proud to say that I cannot wait to get my album made and share it with everyone. I truly had a storybook wedding, and will have a perfect storybook to share it with everyone because of Erin!
My number one going into the wedding planning process was my photographer! I’m so thankful to say mine did not disappoint! Erin even gave me advice on other wedding planning things! She is phenomenal! Working with Erin is one investment you WILL NOT regret!

Booking Erin was a no-brainer for me. I saw her photography for the first time on our venue’s site - and instantly knew she had to be our photographer. Her journalism style of telling the story of your wedding day matched what we were looking for. As a bonus she was very professional, responsive, and very sweet. Erin is truly an incredible photographer and person. She is so talented and you can see that in the photos that she captures. Communication was important to me throughout the wedding planning process and Erin was extremely quick to respond whenever I had any questions or needed any recommendations.. We got married in the Smoky Mountains and she was licensed to take photos there and provided recommendations of other vendors who were and knew the area as well to make the day run smoothly. We loved having her capture our engagement photos and wedding photos. My fiance hates getting photos taken and she made us both feel so comfortable. My wedding photographer was my number 1 important decision. I wanted someone who I could trust and depend on and someone who would capture all of the moments of our intimate wedding.I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a photographer to capture your big day. ERIN IS A ROCKSTAR and the best investment you'll ever make
Erin was the best investment we made throughout our wedding process! She was the first vendor I knew I had to have, and actually she helped me pick out so many of my other vendors because that is how much I trusted her judgement (and this goes to show how dedicated she is to helping you have the best experience possible). Drew and I grew up in the mountains, and they mean a lot to our relationship. So having a photographer who is licensed in the Smokies to take our engagement pictures was the best thing we could have imagined…and man were our engagement pictures EPIC. I was so worried about taking professional pictures, mostly because I am generally really awkward and never know how to pose myself- but Erin does the best job of making everything feel so natural and fun! Which pays off because NONE of our pictures look posed or fake. They all show the adventurous, fun loving side of us which is exactly what we wanted. It also helps that Erin is actually hilarious herself, so you want to laugh and be happy around her. Not to mention on our wedding day, she made the picture process for us and our wedding party again like a funny game, rather than the dreaded posed pictures that everyone (especially the boys) hate. She captured the most real, intimate, enjoyable moments we had that day. Honestly I feel like our pictures could be on the covers of magazines- sometimes I can’t even believe they are pictures of Drew and I because of how epically amazing they are. Basically, Erin is a freaking rockstar and if you want your pictures to be the epitome of Pinterest dreams then do yourself a favor and hire Erin for all things pictures for every life event. -

We LOVED Erin!!! She answered all of my questions before the engagement shoot and I was really excited about taking our pics. I don't think of myself as being very photogenic, but we did so many different poses, scenes and played fun games that I didn't even think about that. Once the pics came back, I got even more excited for the wedding day. Erin was exactly what I needed for my destination wedding in the Smokies! I was worried when booking all my vendors and being 3 states away, but Erin was an excellent communicator, available and willing to answer all questions. She really made sure she understood our style and expectations before the big day. On the day of our wedding, Erin and her second shooter were there early and knew the venue well to get the best shots. She helped keep our unruly bridal party moving along through the day and captured every candid moment I wanted. She had ‘sneak peek’ images ready for me in about 4 days and had our entire collection of photos done within 3 weeks!!! When I began planning my wedding (basically right after I got engaged!), the two highest items on my priority list were venue and photographer. We had to have somewhere to get married (obviously), and equally as important, the day needed to be documented. It was super important to me that we have good quality photos of our wedding day, and that they weren't all stiff and posed looking. My brother is an amateur photographer who was living in Knoxville at the time, and since I live in Florida, I enlisted his help in finding someone up in Tennessee where we planned to have our destination wedding. He stumbled upon Erin on Instagram, and when I checked out her photos, I immediately fell in love with her work. Her photos are so natural looking, but dramatic and special at the same time. Although I looked at a few other photographers before hiring her, I always knew it would be Erin! For the style, quality, and value, there is no one better in East Tennessee. She was so pleasant during our initial phone conversation, and was always quick to respond to emails or texts. She is super down to earth, but ultra professional at the same time. You can tell she takes her work seriously, but she has fun while doing it, which to me is an invaluable combination. She made everyone feel comfortable and at ease, even my husband, who hates pictures! And best of all, she edited them within weeks so we didn't have to wait long to see all of our beautiful photos. I have nothing but positive things to say about both her and her assistant and would highly recommend her to any bride who asked. I would just like to close with a final anecdote to show how awesome she is:
Our reception venue and the bridal suite were on top of a mountain with a narrow, windy road, and on the morning of the wedding, it had been raining on and off. The road was very slippery, and Erin's car nearly didn't make it to the top. I think she ended up leaving her car midway up and hiking the rest of the way with all her equipment! That is dedication right there! -

She's very easy to be around and composed some really great photos. She was very punctual with getting our sneak peeks and full albums back to us. After we received our full wedding album, I had some questions about printing photos and she responded immediately even though she was on vacation!
We loved our photos and would hire Erin again in a heartbeat. -

Like most couples, my husband and I are not professional models so did not know what to do for a photo session. However, Erin made us feel so comfortable the whole time like we were spending time with a friend instead of having our pictures taken. We spent weeks trying to find the best photographer. From answering every email I sent her within 24 hours, to driving over an hour to our engagement session on a weeknight we definitely didn't choose wrong. We got our wedding pictures back quickly, and I can't choose a favorite pic! The second shooter Clint was awesome as well. Erin is someone I can be friends with outside of wedding business, she is so easy to get along with. I will be using her for any future photo sessions I need. Can't go wrong with Erin Morrison Photography!
