  Alan was absolutely wonderful to work with. My husband and I used Alan for our engagement photos, and at our wedding. We found him by chance searching for photos of our venue. As soon as I saw his style I knew that was exactly what I wanted. The best part about Alan is he sees everything, he didn't miss any important moments, and the candid photos are the best I've ever seen. The formal photos are great also, I just wanted more candid shots. I loved that he didn't work with a lot of editing, there weren't any of photo shopping effects in his photos and that's what I wanted, other than some black and whites - which always enhanced the photos - the photos hardly look touched. It was refreshing to see photos that didn't look like they'd been sent through an Instagram filter. As a bride, I was probably a little anxious to see the photos, but they were all worth the wait. I can't stop looking at them.

  Alan was absolutely amazing!! I truly enjoyed working with him from the engagement session to the wedding day. My husband and I expressed to Alan what we wanted and he gave us exactly what we wanted and more.   I really cannot say enough about Alan Friedman. He was extremely responsive in all of our communications, and quick to answer any questions, which we all know is very important when dealing with vendors for our big day! We had so much fun with him and his assistant on our engagement photo shoot and some absolutely amazing shots as a result. This man has an artful eye and can capture emotion impeccably! He was a pleasure to work with all the way up to our wedding day. He was always on time, prepared and with a smile on his face. He was super laid back and just melted in the backdrop of our wedding and reception. He captured our day in amazing photojournalistic style and the result is a set of photos that impeccably capture the emotions and feelings of us and our guests. When I had a few random shots that I had in mind, I told him my ideas and he executed them perfectly! Also, my mother could not say enough great things about him…even to this day when anything is mentioned about our wedding photos, she praises him all over again! FINAL THOUGHT: Book Alan for your wedding and you will not be disappointed. Wouldn’t change a thing!

  Alan was great! We really appreciated his "laid back attitude" that helped us get through the day more stress free. He also made us feel really comfortable during the portrait session. And most importantly the pictures were GREAT from our wedding day! We were so happy with our decision to go with Alan.

  I once did wedding photography, so I feel as though I know pretty well what to look for in a wedding photographer, so when my wife (then my fiancee) and I were planning our wedding, I put myself in charge of finding the photographer. After some searches on the internet, I found Alan's site and immediately said, "I like this guy's eye." I met with Alan and he was quite professional and straightforward, with reasonable and flexible terms. He was really open to the ideas we had and was especially creative in framing shots--Alan is the type of photographer you can give a minimal set of instructions to and he will exceed your expectations in every way! Even now when we show our DVD slideshow to of our wedding our friends, they comment on how amazing the presentation is! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking for a great value for a photographer who is a cut above!

While anyone can take a posed family photograph, his candid shots were what made the decision easy. He takes unique photographs with an artsy edge, without relying on hackneyed photoshop techniques (i.e. black and white photos with one element in color.)   Alan is an an amazing photographer with a true gift of capturing genuine moments! He was so wonderful throughout our wedding day! He had two others assisting him before the wedding, during the wedding and at the reception, which was nice so they were able to capture lots of moments! Many of my guests complimented his professionalism and how they did not even realize he was taking pictures because he did such a wonderful job capturing "real" moments that took place throughout the day! :)
  
  We chose a variety of Alan's photos from our wedding day and decided to frame them in 8x10 frames and hang them on our dining room wall....they look amazing and remind us of how wonderful that day was...our guests love seeing the photos and just admire Alan's work!
