Perfect venue!

We had a fairly intimate wedding with about 70 guests. The Alamoosook Inn was a perfect venue for us and the owners were very helpful with every part, including making our guests comfortable, set-up and takedown, and accommodating guests’ diets. The food was great. The lake is a beautiful backdrop. Many thanks!!!

A Beautiful Venue

The venue is absolutely beautiful, the staff were very friendly, and the food was great (several guests said it was the best food they've had at a wedding)! The owners were very responsive and helpful throughout planning our wedding, I honestly can't thank them and everyone else there enough!

Most underrated venue in eastern Maine

We could not have asked for a better venue. The view of the lake was absolutely stunning, and the reception area was small/quaint but not cramped at all. The guests who stayed in the inn's couple of rooms raved about the hospitality they were shown (as well as the wonderful breakfasts they were served). The owners were completely open to helping us create our dream wedding, repeatedly went above and beyond what was outline in their wedding package, and even helped us create the perfect allergy-friendly menu (several of my bridesmaids and I have food allergies, so coming up with options we can all eat really is a task). The pricing is a la carte, so tailoring your event to your budget is very doable. Overall, I could not recommend this hidden gem enough to anyone still in search of a venue.

Fall Wedding

My husband and I had our wedding this fall. We also had a brunch the day after the wedding. Everything was absolutely beautiful and the food was great! The ceremony spot on the lake is stunning and the reception venue accommodated our 100 guests perfectly and has beautiful views of the lake. The room was already styled very nicely and required minimal decorations. Debbie and Barry were very easy to work with, very responsive, and very helpful. We rented out all the rooms for with weekend for family who found them very comfortable. We had many comments from our guests about how good the food was and how nice all the staff was.

Beautiful Venue and very DOG FRIENDLY

I really can't speak highly enough of Deb, Barry, and their lovely inn. My husband and I wanted a Maine camp style wedding, with a casual "cookout" feel to it. They told us that they had never done a wedding with their cookout menu before, but their attitude from the beginning was "Let's make it happen!" They were extremely flexible and did their absolute best to accommodate all of our requests and give us the day we wanted.

The location of the inn is absolutely stunning and perfect for a wedding ceremony. We also booked all six guest rooms for Friday and Saturday night and the rooms were cozy and spotlessly clean. Kayaks, canoes, yard games, and a fire pit were also available for our use throughout the weekend, which was a big hit. We had several out-of-town guests tell us they want to go back just for a weekend getaway.

On the day of, everything on their end was absolutely smooth and perfectly executed. The food was great and the staff was extremely friendly. We also had a few more guests attend than RSVP'ed and Deb and Barry took care of it quickly and efficiently. I didn't even realize that it had happened until the end of the night (which I very much appreciated!). The food was delicious and exactly what we wanted (the bacon wrapped scallops were an especially big hit).

I think my favorite thing about this venue, however, is how dog friendly they were. We have two dogs that are like family to us and they were able to be with us for our entire wedding. They were even on the dance floor with us during the reception! It was so great to have them be apart of our special day and not have to worry about boarding them or cooping them up in their crate all day.

Overall, we had a magical wedding weekend thanks to Deb and Barry. I HIGHLY recommend this venue and it's owners.

We had our wedding at the Inn on 9/16 and couldn't be happier with our wedding day or the experience with Gina and staff!
We could tell from the pictures on the website that the Inn and property are gorgeous, but being an out-of-state couple, what mattered to us the most was the relationship we had with the venue coordinator, Gina. The first time we met her, we both felt comfortable and her expertise was so reassuring.
Over the course of the 9 months of planning our wedding, Gina was so accommodating in any special requests we made, efficient in responding to all of the little questions I emailed to her, and just always so friendly and personable in any interaction we had with her.
The Inn and grounds are beautiful, the staff is pleasant and professional, and Gina is just a delightful person and a terrific wedding coordinator. The food was delicious, and we heard from everyone that ours was one of the best weddings they had been to - in large part thanks to the Inn. We just could not be any happier with our experience!

We had the most beautiful wedding at Alamoosook on 6.17.2017! It's was everything we could have hoped for and more! Gina and staff were wonderful and very accommodating though out the planning process from beginning to end. We had a peaceful ceremony on the lake and a beautiful reception inside! Deserves well over 5 stars! I would highly recommend the Alamoosook lakeside Inn!

I can't recommend Alamoosook Lakeside Inn highly enough. Gina, the owner, and her staff are professional, flexible, and go out of their way to make an event memorable for everyone involved. The pricing was also very reasonable, a much better value than any other venue we considered. My wife and I got married at Alamoosook, and Gina was willing to work with us to customize the experience from start to finish. The venue is gorgeous, and the weather was perfect for our outdoor ceremony by the lake. Every guest we've spoken with has raved about the venue and the service. If you're looking for a beautiful, unique spot in Maine for your wedding, look no further.

The Alamoosook Lakeside Inn was the perfect spot for my wedding on 9/10/16. Gina the owner was so incredibly helpful with the entire planning process from the initial stages all the way to the big day itself. All of the food was made onsite and we got tons of compliments on all the appetizers and the dinner. The location itself is simply gorgeous and really is the perfect backdrop for anyone planning a woodsy/lakeside wedding. I highly recommend it!

This was by far, one of the most beautiful wedding venues I have seen. I would suggest renting all 6 rooms as we did, as it was so nice to have the entire place for some family and the wedding party to stay. The owner and staff were so warm and welcoming and were there to help with all our questions and needs. The wedding was in the late afternoon, so the boats/kayaks were used during the day and some folks relaxed by the water. The view is breathtaking and the food was absolutely delicious. We chose to have the rehearsal dinner there as well. Everything was cooked to perfection! In addition, we were served a country breakfast each morning. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone wishing to have the perfect wedding day! A perfect "10"!

We had the extraordinary pleasure of holding our daughter's wedding at the Alamoosook Lakeside Inn September 3, 2016. Gina the Inn owner and our hostess was simply the best. From our first meeting, to all our subsequent meetings, phone calls, to the big questions and smallest details, she was friendly, professional and became a true friend. Her site was so special and provided us with the perfect setting for a perfect day. We took over the Inn for the weekend and Gina and her wonderful staff facilitated where needed, but also let us be autonomous in our set up. The food was 5 star. The prices were reasonable for the quality of all we received. I highly recommend this venue to couples that are looking for a real Maine wedding, in a relaxed comfortable and picturesque environment that is set up with an elegant twist. Our ceremony was outside with an indoor reception, with 140 in attendance. There was not a single hitch. Gina helped us with every aspect of timing and the wedding ceremony, the meal and all the traditional elements went perfectly as planned. It was a perfect day.

The Alamoosook Lakeside Inn was our first choice for a venue, and so we met with Gina very early to make sure that we could have the date we wanted. We also rented the six guest rooms for the weekend, which allowed us to have the Inn to ourselves from the Friday night rehearsal to the Sunday morning brunch for family and friends. The weekend was beyond everything we had hoped for. All of the meals were delicious and our guests raved about the food. Gina and her staff were welcoming and accommodating. We felt very comfortable and found Gina to be flexible, gracious, and determined to make
our wedding exactly what we wanted it to be. The location is perfect for a Maine wedding - private and beautiful. We enjoyed the private beach, use of kayaks and canoes, watching the full moon rise and listening to the call of the loons.
We recommend the Alamoosook Lakeside Inn without hesitation and cannot imagine having our wedding in any other place.

My husband and I knew that Alamoosook Lakeside inn was the perfect spot for our wedding, the minute we saw the view, and met Gina, the innkeeper. From the first introduction, Gina slowly and thoughtfully answered all of our questions, and assured us she'd help us through the whole process. We had a spectacular wedding day, as promised! 96 guests were delighted with gorgeous lake views, delightful hors d'oeuvres, fantastic sit down meals, and a magical, elegant evening of joy and dancing. We can not say enough about the staff at Alamoosook. There were not only professionals, but they really cared, and were genuinely so excited and happy for us. It was the perfect place, for our perfect day.

The Alamoosook Lakeside Inn is a magical place for a memorable wedding. Having the lake as a backdrop for pictures is awesome. If it rains, you always have the inside as a backup. We got a little rain, but it cleared off and we had a wonderful wedding. Gina made us feel so welcome and worked hard to have a memorable celebration. From the start, Gina was always available to assist us with this event. Less work for us. Gina goes the extra mile to accommodate everyone. The cozy rooms have crisp clean linens and a beautiful Maine Lakeside view. You can't help but be content here. We had loads of compliments on the tasty "hot" food served at our event. Outstanding!

The Alamoosook Lakeside Inn was the perfect venue for our wedding. We love the fall and got married in early October outside by the lake and it was beautiful! The grounds and the Inn are well-maintained, and has lots of great locations for photos. The food was fantastic and there was a good variety of options to select from. Gina, the innkeeper, was very helpful at every step of the process--from beginning to look at the property, answering questions, re-answering questions that we forgot the answers to, and overall just making us feel relaxed and comfortable with hosting our wedding there. She took the time to explain how the guests would flow from outside to inside, where specific tables would be placed, and how the entire day would look. The staff was super friendly and ensured that everything was as we wanted it. Overall, we were super impressed with how everything went on our big day, and we couldn't imagine having it anywhere else!

My daughter had her wedding at the beautiful Alamoosook Lakeside Inn on Aug. 1, 2015. I highly recommend this venue!! We were extremely pleased and very happy with the wedding and reception! I It was so nice and convenient to be able to have the wedding outside next to the breath taking lake and have the reception just a few steps away. The reception hall has large windows around the entire room, so when you walk in the room the view of the Lake is truly amazing! Everything went just perfectly thanks to Gina and her wonderful crew! It was so nice to be able to relax and enjoy the wedding, as Gina took care of everything. It was very helpful to have someone with so much experience and expertise guiding us through the planning process. All of the food was absolutely delicious!! The servers were very professional and attentive and everything was served at exactly the right time. I had guests coming over and telling me how wonderful the food was and what a fun time they had! Thank you so much Gina and crew for making my daughter and her new husbands wedding day a dream come true!

Alamoosook was the perfect place for our ceremony and reception! The inn and surrounding area are stunning, and the food is delicious. All of our guests were blown away by the location, and everyone had something great to say about the appetizers and meals! It was so special to be able to have a beautiful outdoor ceremony followed by a delicious dinner and a fun reception all in one location. Also, it was great to have the dance floor in a separate but visible area from the dinner tables so that guests who wanted to chat and enjoy a glass of wine could do so without being drowned out by the speakers as the night wore on, but everyone still had a good view of the first dance etc. Finally, it was such a privilege to work with Gina to plan every detail! She was always available to answer questions and was flexible whenever we had to make changes. She also was ready and willing to give suggestions to us whenever we weren’t sure about something. It was clear that her priority was helping us have everything we wanted to make our day perfect! Selecting the Alamoosook as our venue was the first choice we made when planning our wedding, and the great experience we had with Gina, her inn, and her staff had everything to do with how smoothly the whole process went!

We held our wedding at the Inn on May 30, 2015 and it was simply perfect! I feel like we are still waking up from a dream. The location is spectacular (the lake makes for a gorgeous backdrop, the grounds are beautiful and the Inn is simply charming); the food is outstanding (some kid's menu items would be great); and the service is top notch (super attentive, accommodating, responsive and helpful). Gina helped us every step of the way and was a pleasure to work with. We couldn't have been any happier and we would highly recommend The Alamoosook Lakeside Inn!

We are currently stationed in Arizona, which meant I had to plan a long distance wedding/reception. I got engaged on Christmas and had thought to call at the beginning of January, just get some ideas of dates. When I called, I learned that only 2 Saturdays were left in October..I called my husband and asked how he felt about 11 Oct! He was surprised to have a date so fast, but I knew after being there one time, that this was the perfect, most intimate place, for my fall wedding. Gina was amazing! I had a ton of questions and she always responded very quickly! She worked hard to ensure I was comfortable with everything. And since I was long distance, I had no idea of vendors. She gave me a list of people she had worked with and recommended. I ended up using all of the people she had told me about! This made it much easier for me to not have to make a million phone calls. Let me just say, I could not have been happier with my wedding/reception. It was absolutely everything I had dreamed about. Gina and her staff took the time to ensure everything was taken care of. She had no issues at all, when I requested an appetizer plate to be brought out to us while we were taking formal pictures! Food was a huge deal for me! I wanted to be able to have it easy, and be able to have everyone have multiple options to choose from! I couldn't imagine trying to get everyone to pick a plate, since I could barely get RSVP's back. Lol. So we went with the ultimate feast buffet! It was phenomenal! Absolutely loved the chicken picatta!!! But everything was delicious! We ended up renting all the rooms out so we could enjoy the inn all night! I was very glad that we did! It made for a wonderful way to spend time with the wedding party afterwards, plus we all got together with my family for the wonderful breakfast in the morning! I would highly recommend anyone to have their wedding/reception at the alamoosook lakeside inn! I look forward to going back for our anniversary!!!

We had our dream wedding at the Alamoosook Lakeside Inn. Everything was perfect from the ideal location, the helpful staff, and the assistance of Gina who was kind and accommodating from start to finish. The food was amazing and every vendor Gina had recommended to us also did a fabulous job. Thank you to Gina and everyone at the Inn who helped create our perfect day! Working with Gina to plan a custom New England lobster picnic and cocktail reception was a delight. As a foodservice professional, my requests were at times different from what the Inn typically provides, however the Inn and staff executed flawlessly. Gina was very agreeable and adaptable to our desires.

The food was plentiful, the lobsters, not the 1 1/4 # (chicken lobsters) served other places amazed our guests. Some of our guests even had seconds as not all wanted shellfish. The grilled chicken was fantastic as we had hoped with a true New England Fireman's Picnic sauce. We threw the staff a few curves by requesting Taboulah and a few other custom items added to their Down East Lobster Bake menu.

Not wanting to create a banquet hall chafing dish visual for the dinner, the staff worked with us to change the service so that we served our steaming lobsters out of a sea weed lined galvanized wash tub, along with using our Grandmother's antique wooden salad bowl. Nice touches that all noticed. The creative presentations were original and fit our theme to a "T".

The appetizers provided by the Inn were all house made, flavorful and splendidly presented.
If I was rating the event, and there were more stars, this event would have earned them all. It is rare that dinners for over 120 guests go off effortlessly and without a hitch. This event did.

Our experience exceeded our expectations by miles, and I am difficult to impress. A note of thanks should be given to Gina and her staff that worked our event, they were fantastic and the cocktail hour and dinner was flawless.

The pricing was fair and what I expected to pay for the event. We could not have been happier with our welcome dinner.

Gina Bushong and her staff are absolutely wonderful. They are pleasant, friendly and very accommodating. The venue is breathtaking and photos on the website are quite accurate. The inn is more amazing in person! I couldn't have chosen a better location or staff to work with. I am very happy with my service!

My daughter was married at Alamoosook and we could not have had a more perfect weekend! We chose to rent out the inn for the wedding party and it was so relaxing. Gina and the staff took wonderful care of all of us. Breakfasts in the morning were yummy. The staff was so helpful with suggestions and Gina was willing to give us anything we asked. Now as for the wedding, it was stunning! The staff set the perfect stage and the view was amazing. Guests cannot stop raving about how beautiful it was. As for the food and reception, people say they have never had better food at a wedding. Gina was so helpful with suggestions and keeping in touch. Gina had no problem putting a customized menu together and brought it together perfectly. We are forever indebted to Alamoosook for making the wedding incredible!

Alamoosook is a gorgeous spot for a wedding! The inn and surrounding area are beautiful. In addition to a breathtaking setting, Gina and her staff are truly amazing. Through the whole planning process, Gina never took more than a day (usually less than that!) to return emails and/or phone calls which was hugely helpful. On the day of, everything was seamless. The staff were so on top of everything. They took all the stress right off our shoulders. The food and drinks were wonderful--all the guests were impressed! And the rooms were very comfortable. They also provide a delicious breakfast in the morning for anyone staying at the inn. This venue is a great value, wonderful experience, and beautiful location. Thank you Gina and all the Alamoosook staff, you made our wedding a dream come true!!

Our wedding and reception at the Inn was wonderful! Gina was always available to answer any questions and went above and beyond when it came to helping us make our day perfect. Our wedding at Alamoosook Lakeside Inn was a beautiful event. We had 82 people. Every guest we spoke to raved about the lakeside ceremony, the food, the decorations and the service. Gina and her staff were on top of everything. The planning with Gina and Rhonda over a couple of months made our wedding move smoothly, so we didn’t personally feel burdened on the day of the celebration. Couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day.

While Mother Nature supplied the beautiful lake setting, Gina and her staff provided the excellent service. When my partner and I decided to get married in three weeks time, we could not have found a better person to work with on the details than Gina. Great suggestions and incredibly flexible --e.g., two hours before the ceremony, we found out a couple who intially could not attend, would now be able to attend! They said they would attend the ceremony and cocktail but understood that it was too late to be included for the sit-down luncheon. A quick call to Gina and after consulting her chef, advised that this couple could be accomodated for lunch. Now, that is what I call excellent service! The food drew rave reviews from the guests. In short, you won't be disappointed in having Gina and her staff hositing your wedding at the Lakesde Inn.

We had our wedding at Alamoosook, two years after our son and daughter-in-law got married there and four months after our close friends had their wedding there. We already loved the place, but now we feel an even more special connection. We booked all six rooms for our wedding party for two nights and all of us enjoyed the beautiful setting, the lake, the accommodations and amenities, the wonderful food, and the amazing hospitality throughout the weekend. Gina had an emergency and unfortunately was not able to be there at the last minute, but she had been so helpful in the months and weeks leading up to the wedding and had things very well organized and planned. It is a great testament to her that her staff and friends stepped in and had everything running smoothly, making us feel taken care of--even during a passing torrential rainstorm and a power outage right before our ceremony! The sun came out and everyone scrambled to keep the ceremony outdoors, but they would have adjusted the plans for whatever we needed without question. We had a fantastic and memorable wedding in the perfect setting. Thanks Gina and Rhonda and all of your staff!

We had our wedding at the Alamoosook Lakeside Inn in September, 2010 (many of the photos posted here are from our wedding - I'm the blond with the short white dress and my husband is of Chinese descent). We had a WONDERFUL wedding and we couldn't have been happier with our choice of venue. Gina was so helpful and everything ran smoothly, despite the fact that we were planning everything from out of state. All of our guests remarked at the beautiful setting, and they loved that they could take the kayaks out or wander the quiet grounds. The food was delicious and Gina was super flexible in accommodating all of our little requests - for example, we wanted pie instead of cake, so Gina and her team baked us some fabulous pies and again, everyone raved! If you want your wedding to be a truly unique, meaningful, and special event, I can't think of a better place than this.

This is a beautiful place. The Inn is wonderful and very appropriate for this kind of celebrations. Gina is very kind and polite. She was ready to help us in each moment and in each situation.

The Alamoosook Lakeside Inn was the perfect location for our wedding. It is private and secluded but close to town and the lakeside setting is beautiful. Gina was friendly and helpful, responding quickly to all of my questions, and making me feel like my wedding was the only one. The Alamoosook Lakeside Inn is an absolutely beautiful venue any time of year. The scenery is picturesque and breath-taking. Additionally, Gina is extremely helpful and flexible with our many requests and changing needs. She'll do whatever she can to make what you want happen. She also had several experienced suggestions we hadn't thought of. Finally, the food was delicious and service was excellent. Several guests complimented the food and commented how they kept getting up to get more.

The Alamoosook Lakeside Inn in Orland, Maine is a hidden jewel. This place is breathtaking. Gina and her staff did a wonderful job with everything. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for an off the beaten path place.

My husband and I just had our wedding at the Alamoosook and it went off without a hitch. The weather forecast was not great, but they were very flexible (we could decide on inside/ outside up to 1 hour before) and ultimately we were able to have the ceremony outside on a beautiful lakeside setting. Gina and her staff decorated the place beautifully for us, inside and out. The food was excellent and the portions were generous. Gina's recommended vendors were great (flowers, DJ), which made planning a wedding from out-of-state easy (with the exception of landjet shuttle service...we had some issues with them and I would not recommend). We had a great experience with Gina and the Alamoosook Lakeside Inn and our guests who stayed there had an excellent time...Thanks Gina!

Gina, and everyone else at the Inn were just a delight to work with. Kind but also practical. Sometimes it feels like people in the wedding business are just putting on a show trying to please you. But Gina and her staff seemed genuine. She wasn't over the top about anything, which is how you can tell it is real. Our wedding was amazing, the venue was perfect and all the things that matter were taken care of. I would encourage anyone to consider this venue, it will not disappoint!

The staff here, especially the owner, Gina, had the experience necessary to make everything take place so smoothly! I was relatively unsure of how exactly things should proceed during the ceremony and reception, but Gina provided all of the stress free guidance I could ever need! Such a warm, friendly staff and atmosphere at a superbly beautiful location!

We planned our wedding on a short time frame (5 months) and I came across The Alamoosook Lakeside Inn through a google search. I immediately fell in love with the place! Once I went and visited the location and met with Gina, I didn't have to think twice about booking the Inn. Gina was so professional and helpful during the entire process. Whenever I had a question she responded very promptly with the answer. She provided a great list of recommended vendors (whom I booked my photographer through).

Gina and her staff did a fabulous job setting up the venue for our wedding and reception. What I loved about the Alamoosook was that they only book one event per day, so we had the entire Inn to ourselves. We rented all of the rooms for the night before and night of the wedding. For two days we had our very own lakeside Maine retreat! My husband and his family are from Australia and they loved that.

Everything went off without a hitch. The only thing I would have changed is for the buffet to have been kept up longer. I had some guests saying afterwards that they wanted to go up for more food but everything had been put away. Gina did put a couple of plates out for my guests that were staying overnight though. They appreciated that at midnight!

I would highly recommend The Alamoosook Lakeside Inn for a wedding location. Gina and her staff are outstanding (Rhonda was a big hit at the bar!). I can say for certain that we will be back for a visit again! Thank you to everyone who helped make our day perfect.

My husband and I were very happy with our venue choice! The location is absolutely gorgeous regardless of the season. We had both our wedding and reception inside, as it was in December. Gina and her staff were easy to work with and made sure that everything went smoothly. Our meal was delicious. There were a small handful of very minor issues, but in the end my husband and I were happy, our guests were happy, and I couldn't have asked for a more perfect night. Highly recommended!

Our wedding was everything that we dreamed it would be. The staff at Alamoosook Lakeside Inn was helpful in making sure all the details were perfect for our special day and ran smoothly. The inn and grounds were beyond beautiful for photos with our family and friends, and will be treasured for years to come. We had the pleasure of staying at the Inn. It was so peaceful and relaxing. We recommend this vendor for any event or get away stay. Cozy, comfortable, just plain wonderful.

This place is lovely. We had our ceremony outside and the reception inside. The property sits directly on a lake. The owner does everything and is very helpful. She returns calls quickly. The in-house caterer is amazing. Everything went very smoothly in part because of the inn keeper and her experience with weddings.

Very beautiful location. Gina Bushong and her staff are extremely pleasant and fairly easy to work with. I had a few minor concerns/issues but I would certainly work with them again. Food was excellent!

We're a long distance couple and it was a challenge for us to plan our wedding in detail. Good thing the owner was very responsive to emails or phone calls. Alamoosook Lakeside Inn is a perfect venue for our wedding, not to mention, a perfect location for nature lovers too.

Communication with the owner was very pleasant, although when I met her for the first time, in the middle of the conversation while doing finalization, we requested if they could an extra in case some guests changed their hearts and decided to come up during the last minute. She went a little bit furious told us we should have told this information earlier, which we found a little unprofessional. But she calmed down easily though.

I believe that being an owner or manager, you should be able to handle changes and handle it appropriately before saying anything. But after that everything went well. Although there was a big problem upon payment as she miscalculated the total amount. She forgot to count the fish. So from $3,000++ original rate, it went up to $5,000+ which was extremely expensive and which created a temporary depression from our end, went panic on where to get the money!!! In addition to that, the plate for kids (kiddie meal was $12) which was extremely expensive too. The food was great though. Loved their bread.

Overall, we love everything about the venue most especially the food, only the problem was miscalculation which I hope will not happen again to it's next customers.

Beautiful but odd

The Alamoosook is a gorgeous inn, and couldn’t be in a more beautiful spot, but the inn keepers were... odd. Sometimes they’d be sweet and helpful and sometimes they’d be pushy and unhelpful, and over what seemed to be the smallest and strangest things. So if you aren’t a stickler for details, and are looking for an absolutely amazingly beautiful setting, this is it.

My husband & I had our wedding at the Inn on 9/8/18. When we first decided to have our wedding at the Inn we signed our contract with Gina. Everything with Gina went great. 2-3 months before our wedding the Inn was sold to the new owners Debbie + Barry. Up until our wedding things went smoothly, they were very responsive and honored most things that we had talked with Gina about. Then our rehearsal came, and we were surprised to find out that they we're not anything like a "wedding coordinator" that we had discussed with Gina. We just let that go and made the best of it without them, which was doable. Things went great at the ceremony and beginning of reception. During the reception it was not ONCE communicated to guests that they were not permitted to have any outside alcohol. While the staff was cleaning up dishes from dinner they found a bottle of alcohol that was not theirs. The owner Debbie then proceeded to raise her voice and scold me about it in front of everyone saying that the bar was being shut down because of this. It was 7:55PM. Not even 8pm!! She was extremely unprofessional and rude to me, and brought me to tears. On my own wedding day. This was not an appropriate way to handle this. Guests should have been given a warning, and if it happened again we would have understood the bar being shut down. Because of this almost half of our guests left, because obviously they took the fun out of it! Then they told the DJ that he needed to leave. Which he argued and got permission to stay, because we paid a lot of money for this reception and we're shut down without even a warning. With 15 minutes left before the DJ was to pack up he was approached by Barry and told "If you don't turn the music off I am gonna RIP the power cord out of the wall" This venue was very unprofessional and I do not recommend this for a reception.
