Kendall and WOW made our dream Maui destination wedding a reality

We cannot thank Kendall and her team at A White Orchid Wedding, Inc. enough for making our dream Maui destination wedding a reality. They are THE best. We had an indoor/outdoor, 43-person wedding in December at Sugar Beach Events and are still beaming from such a magical day. From the very first call, Kendall’s warm, knowledgeable vibe eased my anxieties. I’m a perfectionist with extremely high expectations and was nervous trusting someone else with all the little details for such a hugely important event. Man am I glad I did. Having Kendall manage vendor communications, timelines, payment deadlines, contracts, etc. was a gamechanger. I knew Kendall was in my corner every step of the way, and I was confident she knew exactly what our vision was. We had Laurie and Naomi as day-of coordinators, and they too have incredible attention to detail and are gems to work with. In fact, not only were all the vendors that WOW recommended outstanding, but they were so kind and added to the day’s joy. All around, the levels of service and quality at our wedding were impeccable. We know the wedding only looked so stunning and went so smoothly because of the abundant planning and dedication from our friends at WOW.

Tiera is the best wedding coordinator!

Tiera made our wedding day a dream come true! We couldn’t have asked for a better wedding planner!

Tiera always went above and beyond for us.
She is very thoughtful and detail oriented. She listened very closely to our wants and needs and always had alternatives ready for us to make planning easy for us. She was able to elevate our vision of our wedding and made it even better than what we imagined.

Amongst her talent to bring our vision to life, she really made our wedding day stress free. She made sure that all of the small details were planned thoroughly so that our day went by smoothly and let us enjoy our wedding day! You could tell that she had exceptional relationships with all of our vendors with the way everyone worked well together.

We couldn’t have asked for a better wedding planner than Tiera. I loved the relationship that we built with her planning our wedding over the last year and a half. Anyone would be so incredibly lucky to have her plan their wedding day!

White Orchid Wedding - Jackie and Dennis

We had the absolute privilege of working with Jacqueline to plan our wedding in Paradise Cove on Oahu. We live in Australia and we planned our wedding at very short notice. Jacqueline was OUTSTANDING at every point in the process. She met with us a number of times over Zoom to plan our approach and ensured we had many options to choose from. The resulting wedding was absolutely beyond belief. The whole day felt like a dream. We both got to be so relaxed (as did our families and friends!) because Jacqueline was across every single little detail. Every recommendation Jacqueline made about the flowers, the venue, the photographers, etc. was absolutely spot on. It could have been stressful booking venues and vendors we had never seen or met but Jacqueline's expertise meant that we never had any worries.
Our wedding day was unforgettable and amazing. We will cherish these memories forever and ever. We really have Jacqueline to thank for bringing it all together as she did. Her presence on the day was such a delight, too. We can't thank her enough! One of the absolute highlights of the day was that Jacqueline personally drove our huge flower arrangement back to our hotel, so we returned to our room filled with the memories of the day. She's just beyond amazing and the personal touches were incredible.

Amazing team

I HIGHLY recommend White Orchid Weddings to any soon to be bride!! Working with Jacqueline was a dream come true and every detail was executed to perfection. I took a chance with them to help me plan a Maui destination wedding from Southern California and I can 1000% say I was not disappointed! Communication with Jacqueline was never overwhelming and she was always flexible and accommodating if I wasn't able to make a phone call. I never felt stressed working with her and our phone calls were like 30 minutes max once a month. It didn't feel like planning a wedding at all, it felt more like I was discussing my dream wedding with a friend and she made everything happen. The day of the wedding everything ran so smoothly and there were no unexpected delays or problems. If you're thinking of booking with them, you will DEFINITELY not be disappointed!

All I can say is WOW Kendall!

Christine and I had the pleasure of working with Kendall Oreta from White Orchid Wedding, an amazing wedding planner who truly went above and beyond to make our wedding day unforgettable. From the very beginning, Kendall listened carefully to our ideas and preferences, and used her expertise to bring everything to life. She even provided suggestions for things that we had no idea would even be needed, but ended up making a huge difference on our wedding day.

Throughout the planning process, Kendall was always available to answer questions, offer suggestions, and provide guidance. She took care of every little detail, ensuring that everything ran smoothly and seamlessly on the day of the wedding. There were even a few last minute changes that came in, but Kendall and her team pulled it off without any additional stress on our end.

Her attention to detail and her caring, thoughtful approach made all the difference. She was a true partner in the planning process, and her hard work and dedication paid off in the most beautiful wedding Christine and I could have ever imagined.

We would highly recommend Kendall + the White Orchid Wedding team to anyone who wants a stress-free, unforgettable wedding experience. We are so sad that the planning process is over, and we will no longer be working with Kendall. She was so much more than what we could have wanted in a planner. WOW is the Best!

My mom, Carolee is the owner of White Orchid Wedding and my sister Kendall is one of the coordinators. I recently got married on Maui in October 2022 and now have a new level of respect for what they do and everything that goes into planning a wedding. I knew they were both amazing before but quickly found out what that really meant. Kendall is extremely efficient and helped me nail down all of the decisions that needed to be made in a quick and painless process. Carolee is the most creative person you will ever meet! She has a timeless style that is perfect for even the pickiest of brides (ie: me).

Growing up around weddings I felt like I knew a lot... but I quickly realized I would have probably missed about 50 things if I were to plan the event myself. Kendall and Carolee were extremely patient even when I changed my design board for the 5th time. I couldn't recommend them highly enough! I may be biased... but I think they are truly the best in the industry.

Nani with WOW is Amazing!!!

Working with Nani with White Orchid wedding was such a dream!!! From the the first day that I reached out, she has been so kind, professional, fun, and all around AMAZING! Like so many other couples, COVID threw quite the wrench in our wedding plans and Nani was there by our side throughout the whole process of cancelling, postponing, rescheduling, etc. I never once felt stressed or uncomfortable in our wedding planning process! Nani made all of our wishes come true in the ways more beautiful than we could have imagined! Our day was perfect in every way and we are so grateful to WOW for taking care of all the details! Kendall-- truly the best!

Working with Kendall Oreta and WOW was a total dream. We cannot recommend them enough. Planning a destination wedding while navigating the pandemic was no small feat, and there is no way we could have pulled it off with out Kendall's incredible expertise. Kendall's professionalism, top-notch organizational skills, and just generally wonderful personality made the entire wedding process a complete joy. With careful research and incredible thoughtfulness, Kendall dove head first into helping us incorporate Persian elements, including an elaborate sofreh aghd table, into our ceremony. Kendall also worked with us to find a planning style that worked for me and my husband's busy work schedules. She's a communication genius and kept us on task and on schedule (we definitely didn't make it easy!). Kendall was also fantastic at helping us determine what really mattered to us-- she was so receptive to concerns and uncertainties and really helped us create a wedding that was ultimately personal and meaningful (and super fun and beautiful!). It's abundantly clear that Kendall really cares about creating a personal, thoughtful experience and it really shines through in everything she does. Our wedding was everything we wanted and more, all thanks to Kendall and the team at WOW; Kendall is truly the best.

Couldn't recommend WOW and Kendall enough!!

I couldn't recommend WOW enough! We wanted an intimate, beautiful, low stress wedding, and that's exactly what we got! It was especially nice with having to move our date out a year because of COVID - we didn't have to do anything. The day of ran seamlessly, thanks to Kendall :) She was wonderful!! I didn't stress at all. All of the vendors we chose through WOW were fantastic. It was the perfect day!

Kendall oreta - wonderful

I’m finally siting down to write my thoughts on our wedding from May, and all I can think about is how absolutely perfect it was. Every single moment was exactly how I could have imagined, so intimate, romantic, and stress free! There aren’t words to be able to thank Kendall for all that she did to make our wedding day perfect, especially in such difficult times! I am so bad about procrastinating and was so concerned that I was gong to wait too long to make decisions, but Kendall was always there to tell me that my timing was okay and everything would be perfect! She wasn’t wrong! Her energy and ability to see my vision was truly unlike anything I could have imagined, there really wasn’t a better person for us. If you are planning a wedding in Hawaii, Kendall is the best. She is such a kind soul and calming energy, exactly the personality you want on such a special day.

Look no further!!!

I worked with wedding coordinator, Kendall Oreta, of A White Orchid Wedding in Maui, HI for my Maui destination wedding. She and A White Orchid Wedding were actually recommended to us initially as a top planner from a 5 star resort here. I interviewed several of their recommendations and Kendall was the only one that blew me away. Where to even begin… I was one of the lucky COVID brides who started planning my dream wedding in 2019 with Kendall, to be delayed twice, with a final wedding date of May 2021. I have several friends who were also COVID brides and I can tell you from firsthand knowledge, none were as lucky or were in the same hands that we were; not even close. And that is all because of Kendall. I have never worked with someone before who is so genuinely kind and positive, works as hard, is as dedicated to making your dreams come true, and who I respect more. Truly. Not once during the multiple reschedules, shifting venues and vendors, and the chaos of planning this wedding over a two year period did she ever become fazed or waiver in our planning process. And as a result I put a LOT of trust in her… I delegated pretty much every last detail to her because we moved to two different states during those two years and I had a lot on my plate and not for a second did I second guess that decision. She is an absolute professional and hands down one of the most patient and most attentive to detail people I have ever met. I always talk to people who lament over how stressful the wedding planning process is and honestly, I just could never relate to them. Not even in the smallest of ways. That is 100% because of Kendall. When we finally walked into our welcome reception and wedding ceremony space/reception space after two years of anticipation… I wept with tears of joy and gratitude. It was not just everything I had dreamed of, it was more. I could never have executed in the way she did or dreamt up even a fraction of the beauty she created. It was like looking into a high end luxury wedding magazine. Every single guest, including ourselves, is still talking about it being the best wedding they have ever been to, bar none. And it wasn’t just our wedding. It was an entire week of wedding events that Kendall put together for us flawlessly. We got to know Kendall very well during the planning process and I can’t imagine having worked with anyone else. And that’s just the kind of person Kendall is. She is empathetic when you need her to be, she is laser focused when you need her to be, she is literally EVERYTHING you need her to be in the planning process. If you are lucky enough to work with this woman and A White Orchid Wedding, absolutely jump at the opportunity and breathe a deep sigh of relief. You will not regret it!

Kendall Oreta at WOW made my husband and mine's wedding a dream come true! Kendall was very knowledgeable about all that Maui has to offer for wedding venues, catering, photographers, videographers, etc and took us to many different sites that fit what we were looking for. She always provided us with top of line offerings that fit our style as a couple and what we wanted for our wedding. Kendall always went above and beyond for us, and it put us at ease knowing that we were in the hands of someone who truly cared. She brought all of our visions to life for our wedding and we could not be any happier with how everything turned out!

Kendall pulled of my amazing COVID Wedding

Kendall and Carolee were amazing and managed to put my wedding together in less than a month during COVID. They were both so professional and helpful throughout the whole process. Kendall was so accommodating with my constantly changing plans & expanding guest list. She had taken me all around the island to look at their different venues earlier in 2019, but when COVID hit we knew were limited in the amount of people we could invite and were worried about Maui County changing the guidelines on gatherings. Thankfully Kendall was able to keep us up to date with what was going on. With medium sized gatherings opening up in November, Kendal was able to let us use the gorgeous White Orchid Beach House for our serene morning ceremony & brunch reception. She ensured that every detail was to my liking; from the custom hand sanitizer bottles to the lawn games, it was flawless!

If you truly want to have the wedding of your dreams in Hawaii, there is no one better to plan it then white orchid wedding!! I cannot wait to have them plan my vow renewal in the future!

My dream wedding became a reality with the help of Kendall Oreta.

When my financée and I decided to get married in Maui, we didn't know where to start. I contacted WOW and Kendall Oreta got back to me within the day. I am beyond grateful for having such an amazing wedding planner! Kendall was super patient with my indecisions and continuous desire to get new quotes for different wedding options I was considering. She was always there to answer my million questions and I don't know what I would've done without her on the wedding day. white orchid wedding was just WOW!!!

We worked with Carolee from White Orchid Wedding for our wedding in Kailua Kona, Hawaii in November of this year. Carolee and her staff made our lives feel at ease during the months of planning and on our day of. They were very professional, timely, had excellent communication and of course listened to what we wanted for our vision. Carolee also recommended so many ideas that fit our budget for our BIG DAY. I'd do it all over again and still ask for Kendall from WOW

I was a bride from New Jersey and my now husband and I decided to start off our marriage in Maui, Hawaii! We heard from WOW through my husband's cousin, so we landed our faith and trust in our wedding coordinator, Kendall Oreta. With about two years of planning our wedding, she has made our day better than what we could have ever imaged it to be. Better than Pinterest! HA! From the smallest details of the utensils to the largest details of our flowers and lights. About 1-2 months prior to flying out to Hawaii, the anxiety of getting things done, packing, and the wedding (in general) skyrocketed for me because I wanted everything to be 'perfect'. I was comfortable enough to share my feelings with her, and she reassured me that everything was going to be 'okay,' and it was more than okay. On the day of the wedding, we were speechless in every aspect and we have Kendall to thank for that.. for spilling out our dream into a reality.

If there is any bride/groom wanting to have their wedding in Maui, I highly recommend asking for Kendall Oreta from WOW; however, if you are not able to snatch her, the WOW team is as wonderful and as great as she is... and I am confident in what I say about them. They will bring the aloha spirit to you.

Wow juz wow!

My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Kendall. She was great! She helped us plan our destination wedding. She was quick to respond to any questions we had. She took care of all inquiries and requests we have from vendors. There was a big brush fire at Maui the day before our wedding and Kendall called to check up on us and make sure we're ok. She also let me know that everything is still going as planned. We made some changes the day before and she made sure to communicate with the vendors. Everything went great! We are so blessed to have Kendall help us with our special day.

Great experience with wow!

It was very nervous about planning a wedding in Maui, when I was all the way in Maryland. After many hours of research, I decided to contact WOW. I was connected with Nalani, and she immediately answered all my questions, and I became comfortable with the process. Nalani was always available to take my calls or respond to my texts and emails in a reasonable time frame. Our wedding day was magical! Perfect venue, and everything went off without a hitch. The car showed up on time, the photographer showed up on time and ready to capture our perfect day. The onsite planner, Jackie was very pleasant and competent. She was easy to talk with, and she genuinely cared about us and our guests. Nalani helped me pick out the flowers, and we received lots of compliments on them. My bouquet lasted through our entire honeymoon, and was still very fresh when we reluctantly had to part with it on the way to the airport. The musician was on point, and so was the officiant. WOW certainly has a list of competent partners to choose from. I am 1,000 percent happy with their services! I would hands down recommend WOW for your wedding or any special event. You will experience 5 star service all around, and more important, the staff genuinely care about your satisfaction.

A joy to work with!

As a venue and caterer, we had the pleasure of working with Nani and Carolee for a New Years Eve wedding on the big island that was unforgettable! They were so clear, responsive and professional. Planning a wedding with them (from the vendor's side) was easy and the wedding was gorgeous.

Dream wedding!

When we found Jackie from WOW we knew we were in good hands but there are no words to describe how amazing she was! Not only was the planning process extremely smooth, it was almost effortless. She gave us options but when we asked for her opinions she would be very honest with me on her opinions. We had a little over a year and a half to plan and she made sure that I did not stress about anything along the way. We got married at the White Orchid Beach House in Makena, Maui and it was absolutely the most stunning venue that I had ever seen. We had looked at over 10 venues before choosing and there was no comparison. When it came down to the day of, there was not a single thing that Jackie and her staff did not take care of. Everything was better than I could have imagined and she made sure that we both had everything we needed throughout the day. My husband and I have been to a good amount of weddings over the past year and we can honestly say that we have never seen a wedding flow as smoothly as it did. Not only did she make sure the vendors did their part but she also made sure that everything was on time. We had a little bit of rain before the ceremony started, which ended up being good because it kept the guests cool but also Jackie made sure that we did not start until I was comfortable with walking down the isle with a little rain. When the ceremony started the rain stopped and there are no words to describe how beautiful the weather turned out to be and we had the most amazing sunset. The beach house has the most amazing views and is the best spot on the island for an amazing sunset. The amount of compliments we received after the wedding about how well put together it was, was crazy. For a wedding of 75 guests, there was not one guest who did not compliment us on how beautiful and how well organized our wedding was. If it were not for Jackie and the WOW staff, there is no way our wedding would have exceeded our expectations as it did. We cannot thank Jackie and the WOW staff enough for everything!

AMAZING experience

Kendall of White Orchid Weddings will WOW you!

We were so blessed & lucky that Kendall of White Orchid Weddings took the reigns for our gorgeous wedding in Upcountry, Maui! We are SO HAPPY with how everything went!
Kendall is a beautiful souled person who truly became more than a coordinator. We consider her a good friend. Her professionalism, calm, reassuring demeanor... set the tone for our whole wedding. The months leading up were much less stressful due to her encouragement, organization skill set & great, prompt communication. The days leading up to our August 2018 wedding were worrisome due to impending hurricanes... but Kendall kept calm, communicated with us & all vendors.. and made amazing last minute changes to assure we would still have the outdoor wedding of our dreams! Complete with sun & double rainbows! Now THAT'S talent ;) We have said time & time again how we couldn't imagine our wedding day without Kendall! As the bride, I was able to relax & enjoy the moment of being a bride... knowing Kendall & her team were taking care of everything. I loved my choices in vendors & was so glad that Kendall had worked with 90% of them before. It made the whole experience feel like we were being taken care of by one big family who truly cared about your wedding day experience. So sooooo happy! We highly recommend Kendall of WOW! Intimate Beach House Ceremony

White Orchid Wedding made it easy for me to plan an intimate and beautiful ceremony. There are no words to accurately describe what an amazing event planner Kendall is. From my initial email inquiry, Kendall has been organized and professional throughout the entire process. She immediately understood my vision and seamlessly coordinated the day with expertise. When I asked for leis for my guests to wear, even on short notice Kendall delivered with gorgeous adornments that made the day even that more special. When the roads flooded the day before my wedding, I was stranded on the other side of the island with no way to get my dress from the cleaners. I called Kendall with my dilemma and without a moment of hesitation she offered to pick up my dress!! She truly goes above and beyond and her customer service far surpasses any other! My family and I are forever thankful to Kendall and White Orchid Wedding.

Kendall had a perfect understanding of what we wanted even through mostly email communication and me not being very descriptive. She was amazing and allowed us and our families to enjoy the day with no worries. We had some odd requests like zip lining between the ceremony and reception and she went above and beyond to make it work. We loved working with Kendall and WOW! Kendall was amazing. My husband and I decided to go with Day-of coordination so I did a lot of the planning and we meet with Kendall every so often to update her on any vendors we had booked, changes we made and to get suggestions. She always made time to meet with us and sometimes with short notice. I felt confident that we could leave our special day and all the little details in her hands and not need to worry about anything. She also met with our DJ to go over details with him to make sure everything ran smoothly, which they did. The day-of Kendall put their best coordinators on it and we were so happy with everything. Kendall and the team at White Orchid Wedding were so genuine, so professional and we could not have gotten through our wedding day without them!

We were blown away by Bernie and Steven’s excellent service. Right from the beginning, they were responsive and helpful, unlike many other wedding vendors I reached out to. We did everything by distance via phone and email, and they made it so easy! Throughout the process they kept us engaged and took care of everything. I would highly recommend A White Orchid Wedding to any engaged couple. Kendall was amazing to work with; she was easy to get in contact for any of the questions or concerns I had (and I had a lot!) , she listened well to and respected the ideas/visions/budget I had, and she was laid back and reassuring, which calmed my nerves that everything would run as we had planned. Overall, Kendall is a fantastic coordinator to work with and made the planning and execution of my dream wedding come to life without a hitch. On the day of, everything ran so incredibly smoothly (hair and make up, photography, videography, and transportation all arrived on schedule) and looked better than I had envisioned, that even now, I have a difficult time verbalizing how perfect (and when I say “perfect”, I really do mean it. I honestly believe that there is nothing I would’ve have done differently) of a day our wedding was. And I cannot forget to mention WOW’s staff that helped to make my dream wedding happen. Steven, Jackie, and the rest of the event staff set up/cleaned up, bussed tables and refilled drinks, made sure my husband and I were fed, and did such a wonderful job so that our friends and family could enjoy our day without needing to worry about a thing. I cannot thank Kendall and WOW enough for making our day one we will never forget.

My dream came true thanks to my wonderful planners at WOW... My then Fiancee and I didn't think of a wedding until very late, like, less than 3 months before our actual wedding day. But with the help of Bernie and Steven from WOW, things came together so nicely that we sometimes didn't realize we were in the middle of it. We ended up having a small group flying in and some don't even speak English, but my planners and the crew at the White Orchid Beach House did everything they could to accommodate our guests.

Professional, patient, kind, and helpful. My husband and I were extremely pleased with how things came together. In fact, everything form the table-setting to the flowers to the wedding venue and all the vendors involved exceeded our expectations. Planning a wedding from a distance had the potential to be stressful and risky, since it can be impossible to check on things.

Thank you for making the planning process so painless and stress-free. Friends kept asking me if I was overwhelmed with the planning, and I happily would answer, “Not at all.” I had complete confidence in our coordinator taking care of things as we worked through the process. Our coordinator, Nalani, was especially sensitive to my needs as a person with disability and the needs of my family and friends. Extra special thanks to White Orchid Wedding (WOW) for installing new ramps at the beach house (without my asking) to ensure that I could access the house with no problems.

We will definitely contact WOW if we decide to do a vow renewal in the future!:). Thanks so much for a wonderful experience, and kudos to Nani on a job well done!

Kendall and WOW weddings were a pleasure to work with. They had relationships with top vendors to put together the perfect calibration for our perfect day. Coming from Kansas to get married in Maui, we needed local help to find the perfect vendors, venue and food. We found all that and more with WOW. They were easy to work with and made our process seamless for an out of town event with more than 60 guests. We would highly recommend Kendall and WOW for weddings or any special events in Hawaii. Mark and I worked with Nalani at WOW and she made the whole process so easy! We are a pretty low-key couple and wanted to do something extremely small (by small I mean just him and I). Nani was awesome at sending me all kinds of options and literally would send me a couple of options after talking with us to figure out what we wanted and she made it all happen. I especially like the detail orientation piece that she did with the cost and schedule. WOW has so many great vendors that they can recommend! The best part is how flexible they are. We were deciding on which island and she could help us on every Island. Nani was also able to get our event put together so quickly as we reached out to them in January and we were getting married in March! I am so glad that we found White Orchid Wedding!!

White Orchid Weddings (WOW) arranged for my son’s wedding on the grounds of the Old Lahaina Luau on Maui. They did an outstanding job in every way! The venue was in the lovely garden right on the ocean front. We were a small group of only 12 persons including the bride and groom which meant we contracted for one of their smallest wedding packages, yet, the wedding planner, Nalani, made the arrangements down to every detail as though it were a large wedding. I could not have been more pleased with her attentiveness and eye for detail. The wedding was absolutely PERFECT in every way! The hair stylist and makeup artist did a terrific job and our bride was beautiful. We could not have asked for a better officiant than Reverend Kimo. He came attired in colorful Hawaiian garb and conducted a wonderful authentic Hawaiian ceremony. Rev. Kimo has a terrific sense of humor and made everyone happy and fee at ease throughout the occasion. We were greatly impressed with the on-site WOW personnel, musician, singer, and photographer, as well. They all worked together with precision and made the event flawless. The cake was delicious and gorgeous. We were escorted into the Luau following the ceremony. Our wedding dinner was incorporated into the luau which was a perfect reception, especially for the children who were present. I was completely thrilled with all WOW did to make the wedding full of a lifetime of good memories! I highly recommend WOW for your wedding plans and can assure you that you will get your monies worth!

Patty Flax and White Orchid Wedding were so Great to work with. Patty took so much of her personal time with me to plan this last minute dream and she pulled it off with such ease. We did it in 10 days of planning and over the Holiday Season and everything was so perfect ...it was like a dream and will always be a special part of our lives...What an exceptional venue White Orchid House is... and the day was Perfect. It was a small wedding With a perfect mix of family and friends.
The food was exceptional and the bar service was Great along with The staff... Floral was Beautiful and the photographer was exceptional.

WOW is just WOW!!!! We had our wedding in November 2016 at the Olowalu Plantation House. And the wedding itself took over a year in planning but it was very stressless. Most of the stressless was because we had the BEST wedding planner in the world, Bernie!!! We found out about White Orchid Wedding by our good friend, google. The website was very well designed and the pictures were great so we decided to give them an email. Next thing you know, we had our first phone meeting. When we first spoke to Bernie over the phone in August of 2015, it was like she had us at Aloha and there was no turning back. We put our 100% faith and trust in Bernie and White Orchid and the results were amazing. Bernie and her team were very professional and very very friendly. They treated us like gold. She was very flexible and being that our time difference was 4 hours apart, her responses to our emails were very fast. Also, during our planning for our destination wedding, we were also building a house and we both worked over full time hours, so we were anticipating a lot of stress but there was something about Bernie and her team that help take away that stress. I think it was just meant to be. When the day of our wedding came, it was everything we wanted and more. Everything was perfect. And all of our 84 guests had the time of their lives. It will be a day that we both will cherish forever. Thank you Bernie and White Orchid Wedding, you guys are truly the best, not only in Maui, but in the world. Mahalo from the bottom of our hearts.

If you are planning a destination wedding and Maui is that destination, you definitely need to talk to WOW and especially to Steven. Don't try and do this yourself. Their fees are well worth it and probably saved us money in the long run, not to mention making it stress-free. Even though my daughter's wedding was probably on the smaller side...41, they, Steven, treated us like it was a large wedding.

Steven always got back to us with any question we had and made the entire event seem seamless. He was there the day before for the rehearsal and then the next evening for the entire wedding event overseeing everything. His attention to detail was worth his weight in gold. Thanks to WOW and Steven, my daughter had her dream wedding and as her dad, I couldn't be more happy. Thank you WOW and Steven so much for making this such a special day.

Thank you Nani and WOW for creating our dream wedding! From day one, communication with Nani, our wedding coordinator was easy. She made herself available and as a bride having no clue about wedding planning she sure guided me in the right direction. I was always given choices about vendors with direct links to their websites. This was very helpful! After about 10 months of planning, our wedding day came and it went exceptionally smooth (to my knowledge). What an amazing experience my now husband and I had. Our wedding planner Steven was amazing! He was knowledgable, experienced, patient and extremely fun to plan with! Patty Flax and the rest of White Orchid Wedding were absolutely outstanding! My husband and I got married in Maui at the Old Lahaina Luau in early October. You will not regret hiring White Orchid Wedding if you are planning a destination wedding in Maui! It can be overwhelming to plan a destination wedding (big or small), but our planner/coordinator Nalani St. Germain made it seem like a breeze. It was simple and easy to communicate with her both via email and phone. We were thrilled with the vendors that we used for our wedding, and the location (White Orchid Beach House in Makena) was stunning! Kendall was the on-site coordinator during our wedding day and everything went extremely well - I was a very relaxed bride, and our guests enjoyed every moment of our special day. When we decided to have a destination wedding in Maui we already knew who to contact - White Orchid Wedding! My cousins got married in Maui previously and they referred us to WOW. Our planner was Jacqueline and oh my goodness was she not the BEST! As a first time bride I of course had SO MANY questions and Jackie was just so responsive, caring, and offered such great ideas! My husband and I started planning about a year out and had monthly calls with Jackie. A month out from the big day we had weekly calls. In between all of that we exchanged numerous emails at every hour of the day! Jackie had a solution for everything! We even had a semi-crisis where we had 2 guests who surprisingly showed up in Maui 1 day before the wedding and Jackie was able to fit them in the tables and add 2 extra entrees and chairs! Jackie was just great and she really made the planning process super easy for us. She gave us excellent vendor options and each of them delivered beyond our expectations. Our wedding was just was absolutely perfect thanks to Jackie!

LOVE LOVE LOVE Patty Flax and the White Orchid Team! wish I could give them 10 stars! I am still floating from my wedding a month ago! I don't have words for how grateful I am for WOW and ALL of their help with my gorgeous wedding! The White Orchid Beach house was BEYOND beautiful, way more gorgeous then its already stunning pictures. Patty really understood my vision (even more then I think I did) and created something that looked like it came out of a fairytale. She was so calm and helpful every step of the way. She offered up amazing ideas to make the design that much more special and helped me through making tough decisions. We had gorgeous flowers done by Dellables, Food by Soup to Nuts, Drinks from Aloha Bars Maui and beautiful pictures to remember the whole day from Kaua Photography. We had the A-team! They all worked together seamlessly, were so friendly, helpful and kept congratulating my husband and I throughout the night! I feel so lucky and special to have had such a great wedding. I wouldn't have changed a thing! All of my guests couldn't stop saying that it was the most beautiful wedding they had ever been too. If you are on the fence for one second about choosing WOW to coordinate your wedding don't be, you won't be disappointed! and if you get the AMAZING Patty Flax you are even luckier!!

My experience with WOW was nothing less than perfect. My husband and I knew upon getting engaged 11 months ago that we had to get married in Maui, but had no idea even where to start being that we live in Bakersfield, CA.

After reading countless reviews, we knew that WOW was the way to go. It is so hard to let go of all the details, but Patty, our coordinator was spot on every step of the way. Not only did she set us up with the world's best vendors (5 Palms was a great venue, food was delicious; Lumier for photography.... amazing; Ry'n for hair and make up- cannot say enough; DJ Scott, so fun and so easy to work with!), but she was able to get us within budget.

All and all, I think you would be hard pressed to find a bride that would say that there was absolutely nothing that she would change, or nothing that went wrong on her wedding day, but from more than one person I heard that our wedding was the best wedding that they had ever attended, all of which would not be possible without Patt and the team at WOW.

When you have a destination wedding that's 2,500 miles away from where you live, it's essential to have a wedding planner. When selecting our wedding planner, we spoke with multiple different people, and ultimately went with A White Orchid Wedding. Not only do they have a sterling reputation, but the experience and the overall vibe we got from Bernie Freitas made this an easy decision for us.

Bernie was great to work with throughout the process. She understood how we liked to communicate, and set up regular check-in calls to ensure that we were on track with the timeline that she had put together. And on the day-of the wedding, we could not have asked for a better coordinator. She made sure that everything ran smoothly, but was a calming presence, so that my wife and I were able to just sit back and enjoy the day.

As an added bonus, the location where we got married is owned by White Orchid Weddings, and as such, can only be booked if you work with them for their coordinating service. The White Orchid Beach House is absolutely breathtaking, and truly the perfect backdrop for a seaside wedding. I can't recommend WOW enough!

Bernie Freitas was my wedding planner for my wedding on July 11th at the White Orchid Beach House. She was outstanding!! She made me feel very comfortable about the vendors I chose since I did no have a chance to see their work in person. My family and guests had nothing but great things to say about her with how well she managed our wedding day and the days leading up. Hiring Bernie was the best decision I've made and without her I would have been super stressed! I would recommend Bernie and if you are trying to decide on hiring a wedding planner- DO IT! It definitely helps from stressing out and having to manage things on your own.

We had our destination wedding this past June at the white orchid beach house and it was simply amazing. This was all possible thanks to Bernie Freitas at A White Orchid Weddings Inc. We initially thought that a destination wedding would require a lot of time and effort in decision making and picking out vendors but once we got into contact with Bernie she made everything so easy. The whole process was smooth and every little detailed brought out and reviewed before being finalized. We have heard stories about how stressful and nerve wrecking wedding planning can be but it really never got to that point. Bernie was on top of everything!!! She made sure we got in contact with all our vendors and made sure they understood what we wanted and how we wanted things. When it came to the financial part of the planning she had our best interest in mind. Bernie made sure we didn’t go overboard with food, floras, lighting, entertainment, etc. After a month or so of phone calls and emails we were all on the same page and everything was falling into place. We can’t thank her enough for all she has done for us. The wedding was beautiful!! Family members and friends described it as having a little piece of the island all to ourselves. We would definitely recommend Bernie to everyone who is planning to have an ideal wedding in Maui.

I highly recommend White Orchid Wedding to anyone planning to have a Hawaiian wedding. They came highly recommended from a friend, so I guess we're just keeping it all in the ohana! Bernie was so wonderful, guiding us through the planning of our fantastic day on Kauai. It was about 12 months in the making. As the bride, I only thought wedding planning was going to be a headache and knew nothing about timing, budgeting or the numbers of decisions that needed to be made. For anyone who is NOT excited about planning a wedding, a wedding planner is so worth it. Bernie made it all very easy to digest. Being quite a ways from Hawaii, it was really great to have someone local doing the planning. She gave us (yes, my husband and I) a couple tasks at a time (like, pick a date - harder to do than you would think!) with plenty of time and wouldn't let us get too ahead of ourselves to get overwhelmed. She narrowed our choices to the few best options for our taste and budget, which helped prevent decision fatigue. They were always open to recommending any services we wanted to budget ourselves. And she was there on the day of our wedding, setting up and keeping things on track, which allowed me just to enjoy my wedding day to the fullest. Thanks White Orchid Wedding!

Steven really came through for us, even on any last minute changes. I had nothing to worry about on my wedding day he had thought of everything, even back up umbrellas for the guests incase it rained. Which it did for a couple minutes but then cleared up and was a beautiful sunset.

Over the last year I have had the pleasure to work with Patty Flax. From our first call to our hugs goodbye at the end of our event, she was incredible to work with. We had 60 guests and events covering 4 days. She made sure every detail was covered, responded to my (many) emails and ideas, she was flexible when I wasn't keen on something, and most of all, she worked tirelessly to make my wedding a dream come true.

I could not imagine entrusting anyone else to my wedding day! I am so thankful for Patty! She transformed my all-over-the-place ideas into a cohesive, elegant, event all of our guests will remember for years to come.

I think the smartest thing I did was tell her my total day-of budget upfront so she could help me get the most bang for our buck. She was able to help guide us and offer advice but still ultimately left decisions up to me unless I told her to just use her own judgement. We had a couple of last minute changes and she was so accommodating to ensure it was all perfect.

Patty and the WOW team have some fantastic relationships with vendors on Maui. I know this made a huge difference in the stress, flexibility, and level of service we received. I would highly recommend Patty!

Patty was a pleasure to work with as well! Our planning could've been a stressful nightmare but she helped calm our nerves and gave great recommendations throughout the entire process. She really got to know us and our style and pushed us in the directions that fit us best. We greatly appreciate her working hard to find a florist who was willing to give us our first choice of flowers. (They were so beautiful!) We were also thankful for her patience and flexibility with late night call schedules. It really meant a lot. We couldn't have had the successful wedding we did without her and all we heard all night was "Best. Wedding. EVER!" from our guests.

Venue
The White Orchid Beach House (exclusive to WOW) was absolutely beautiful! It was the exact experience we wanted: beachfront, private, intimate, gorgeous. Pictures don't do it justice. It was more than we could've hoped for. It was perfect.

Day-of Coordinator
Bernie was great. She had everything ready as soon as I walked in and even helped with some last minute additions for our guest table. She did a good job on collaborating on in-the-moment decisions and made the night go very smoothly. She also helped track down a lost necklace days after the wedding that was left at the beach house and coordinated its pickup.

I loved our experience with this company. Simple, smart, great vendor choices, fair contract and pricing. They were very flexible. We didn't have a hugh wedding, but it was over the top wonderful and they were a hughe part of the success story.

Additionally, they kept this a very low stress experience for our family. We came together from the US Mainland and Australia for the event. And the wedding was actually planned from Houston.

There are no words describe how grateful we are for all Bernie’s hard work and dedication. She made the whole process so easy for us, nothing was too much to ask.

With her professionalism and creativity she was able to develop and understanding of what we wanted from our wedding day. Her knowledge and experience with all the local vendors helped to turn our dream day into reality. She was even able to organise a Mexican serenata the night before the wedding!

I am so happy to have found White Orchid Wedding and Patty! Over the course of a year or so, she has guided me through the process of planning a small and intimate sunset wedding in which I had the pleasure of marrying my childhood sweetheart.

I cannot thank White Orchid enough for the wedding of my dreams! From start to finish, they were responsive, patient, and most of all knowledgeable with respect to venue, vendors, catering, etc. It can be scary planning a destination wedding without ever having visited the actual site - but once I arrived on the island any concerns I may have had immediately vanished. My coordinators were Barbara Gerraty and Jackie Ishikawa - both very talented and helpful during the ENTIRE wedding process. After my husband, I think the most important person involved with my wedding was Barb from White Orchid Wedding! Jk, since my parents and maid of honor would not appreciate this.:) I have to say though that our wedding day was nothing short of perfection. I knew from the minute I talked to Barb that we clicked and that I had found the right person to work with. Now I consider her a friend. Her enthusiasm for me and my fiancé was infectious and made our planning fun and efficient. The WOW team are pros and made our day even better than we dreamed of. We worked with Stacey at A White Orchid Wedding and it turned out absolutely fantastic! If you are thinking of a destination wedding in Hawaii with close family and friends, the White Orchid Beach House is an amazing venue [available only through them] with breathtaking views! Stacey added little touches for us that personalized our ceremony, including a cute little sign that said "Happily Ever After Starts Here" as guests entered.. totally unexpected and such a touching addition! We had the most lovable officiant and Stacey helped us pick a photographer as well and everything turned out better than perfect! Everyone loved the appetizers we had and the shaved ice that Stacey suggested was a total hit! ♥
It was amazing and I highly recommend this company. ♥

Bernie made planning our wedding a fantastic, stress free experience! We were planning our wedding in via Minnesota and she was super easy to contact and very responsive. Her suggestions, from flowers that were edible for my 9 month old niece to coordinating with the site, floral, and hair/make-up, were super helpful! We felt she truly listened to our thoughts, respected our budget, and offered helpful insights. I would HIGHLY recommend WOW!! I know we are one of the few couples who did not stress about planning our wedding and a large part of that was due to Bernie!

I contacted A White Orchid Wedding a year before my husband and I got married on the beach in Maui and worked with Jacqueline the entire time. She did a good job of responding to my emails and phone calls during that time and did a fabulous job of choosing the vendors - from the minister to the ukele player. They were all very professional. The photographer and videographer both made arrangements to meet us to give us our finished pictures and videos before we left Maui so we would have them for our Luau reception when we returned home.

Even though we didn't meet Jacqueline until we arrived at the beach for our wedding, I felt like I already knew her. I enjoyed working with WOW and because of Jacqueline's professionalism, I felt it was a stress-free wedding. Thanks a million for everything and for making our wedding so beautiful ! I would definitely refer White Orchid Wedding to anyone having a destination wedding in Maui.

My husband and I decided that a wedding planner would be essential for our destination wedding. We were referred to Jacqueline Ishikawa of a White Orchid Wedding, Inc. by our aunt in Maui and it was the best decision ever.

We started the planning process over a year in advance and started with a visit to Maui to meet with Jackie and choose a wedding venue. Jackie was in tune with my ideas and thoughts...even though I frequently changed my mind about everything. Her patience and flexibility to keep up with my phone calls, and emails were outstanding. As brides, we all think that we can do things on our own but having the ease of someone taking care of the logistics as you have your ideas is unbeatable.

There are a lot of planning services on the island of Maui but the classy service that White Orchid provides you with is simply put, amazing. From the minute you show interest in working with them up to the end of wedding day will seriously be a breeze. It's worth the additional costs, especially if you are a destination bride. I would highly recommend working with A White Orchid Wedding, Inc. for your special day. They will make your wedding the best wedding that anyone has ever been to.

I got married on 3/28/11 at the White Orchid Beach House and I had Barb Gerraty as my planner. Barb always responded to my emails within the same day and she was really personable. I could not have asked for a better planner! Her attention to detail and suggestions for vendors were greatly appreciated. I was literally stress-free the entire time.. Definitely ask for Barb if you go with WOW. Also, the 20% coordination fee they charge is WORTH EVERY PENNY!

My wedding turned out absolutely perfect and I have no one to thank but Barb and the wonderful group of vendors. Also, the White Orchid Beach House is absolutely gorgeous. I had only seen pictures online so I was a little nervous....but when I arrived, it took my breath away. I am still getting emails from guests saying how beautiful the experience was.

We went with the scrim canopies for the reception tables, which I would highly recommend. It gives a romantic ambiance and it is definitely worth the money. Our caterer (Cafe O'Lei), photographer (Tad Craig) , onsite coordinator (Bernie), and florist (Teresa Sena) were all excellent.

I would recommend WOW to anyone who is looking to get married on the island of Maui.

To all the brides out there planning to have a Maui wedding, get this company to plan your wedding, specifically get Jackie as your wedding coordinator! She is the BEST ever! She will take care of you like your bestfriend would take care of you and the staff are super nice and helpful! Here's my story: as hard as it was for me, I did not have any choice but to move my wedding date to the next day due to a big brush fire that happened near the Maalaeia harbor that basically closed the road for hours (till midnight). There is only one way in and one way out so we were doomed because my groom, now husband, and most of our guests were on the other side (lahaina side) and I was on the Makena side. Jackie took care of EVERYTHING! We were basically stranded on the other side of the island. Her company gave us a complimentary dinner at Cafe O'Lei because we were starving. Jackie even offered her house if we need a place to stay in for the night..the staff was very comforting and very positive about the whole thing. In the end, my wedding happened the next day, the only thing that changed was the date, everything stayed as planned, because Jackie was that good she was able to talk to all the vendors asap without us incurring add'l charges.

We had a wonderful experience with A White Orchid Wedding. We worked directly with Steven, and he was fantastic. I told him wanted we wanted, and everything came off without a hitch. Couldn't have asked for a smoother ceremony and overall experience. He even made sure to recommend a hair stylist that had experience working with very naturally curly hair like mine. I was nervous planning a destination wedding, but everything turned out perfectly. Steven and A White Orchid Wedding helped make it the happiest day of my life (and honestly so unstressful).

My husband and I live in California and both work full-time; so for us to plan a destination wedding on the island of Maui and in 10 months seemed stressful and almost unreachable. However, after speaking with several wedding planners, I felt the most comfortable with White Orchid Wedding's friendly and detail-oriented professionalism. Our wedding planner, Bernie Freitas gave us a free consultation with price listing and kept in contact with us via e-mail and by phone from the first day to the final day, which eliminated the prewedding planning stress. Bernie supported and assisted us in every way possible to work within our budget, needs, and wants for the Big Day. We are still extremely happy with how she made our vision come true! Bernie was able to combine the themes: classic romance and island chill, while still keeping it within our budget. Bernie made our dreams come alive and our guests had the BEST time ever! Our friends to this day, tell us that our wedding is the most entertaining, relaxing, and fun wedding they have attended! We could not have asked for a more perfect wedding and we owe it all to Kendall at White Orchid Wedding. Throughout the whole process, from our first call to brainstorm what we wanted our wedding to be all the way to the day of the wedding 10 months later, Kendall was sincere, trusting and perceptive. She really was a pleasure to work with! WOW also made vendor selection and payment super easy even when we were miles away. On the day of the wedding, we didn't have to worry about a single thing and we were able to enjoy every single moment with the guests. And the White Orchid Beach House was just amazing -- the sunset was unbelievable. We are so happy we chose WOW and wouldn't have it any other way. Thank you Kendall!!

As an Executive Assistant I am used to being super organised and having full control of everything in my own life as well as other people’s lives – however living in Australia and having a destination wedding meant that this was not always possible and I couldn’t have wished for a better person than Kendall to have my back with all the finer details.
We visited the island a year before the wedding to view various venues and meet with different wedding planners. Out of the four that we met with, Kendall was the only one to not only come out to our hotel to meet with us but also bring cake samples on the day and try to arrange a catering sample in the time we were there. We could see from the get go that she was on the ball and super enthusiastic as she proceeded to be ‘interviewed’ by us as to bad weather back up plans and her previous experience etc. There was really no competition in our minds and we felt full confidence in her from day 1.
The actual wedding day itself was total perfection and everything I’d dreamed it would be and the WOW team worked perfectly alongside Kahu Kamuela, Dellables Florals, Sugar Beach Catering, Aloha Maui Bars, Kaena Elaban, the ladies from Meili Autumn Beauty and Tad Craig Photography to ensure a seamless service from start to end. I didn’t have a thing to worry about or even think about on the day other than relaxing and enjoying it all. The White Orchid Beach House is an absolutely stunning location and we fell in love with it as soon as we saw it our friends and family thought it was paradise on earth also.
Thank you so much Kendall and the WOW team for turning our dreams into reality.

White Orchid Wedding is just that...WOW! I worked with Bernie and Steven and the two of them made a great team. 99.9% responsive, that 1% is only a few times I've had to make sure they received my email but no big deal, they were on top of it! Loved their input and was open to helping you out in every detail. A lot of the times, I really had no idea what color, theme, etc I wanted but giving me a few choices and ideas really helped. They're not pushy at all and so easy going! When I got to the site, the details they put together and coordinated was wonderful and amazing! They made me feel comfortable and felt like old friends! They told me to relax and breathe and was there to ease the stress.

My partner and I always wanted an Hawaiian wedding and being from Canada, we weren't even sure where to start. We found some great reviews on White Orchid Weddings and decided to get in touch with them about helping us plan our big day.

Our Wedding Planner was Jacqueline Ishikawa. Let me tell you, this lady is very special. Her personality is caring and encouraging. Jackie is also a logistics queen. We started working with Jackie several months before our wedding. We had regular calls and during every call, she kept us on track about what we needed to focus on in between each check in. She came prepared to every call and was always able to respond to our emails very quickly throughout the month as well.

Being a same-sex couple, we were a little concerned with having our wedding in a very public space (like a hotel). Jackie came with some great suggestions and recommended that we host our wedding at a private estate. Her suggestion of the Olowalu Plantation House turned out to be even more amazing than we expected (looking at the photos we could find of other events there, none of them did the venue or the view justice).

Jackie was also very knowledgeable about the best vendors on the island, and provided us with a handful of options for each type of vendor we needed. All we had to do was share with her our vision and she took care of the rest. She was also very helpful in working on our behalf with our vendors to help us stay within our budget.

The day itself was magical and, looking back, the only thing we would have changed would be to make it a bit longer. Everything was set beautifully as planned and went off without a hitch. From the ceremony to intermezzo reception, to the dinner and finally dance - it was perfect. Jackie's team was professional, full of smiles and very welcoming and accommodating.

Steven Cook, our wedding coordinator from WOW, was fantastic to work with.

I can't say enough about the service. He even met us on his day off after we got delayed at the airport and missed our appt.

We live in Sydney, AUS, so we felt we were taking a gamble hiring a wedding coordinator that we'd never met face-to-face, but from the first phone conversation, I just had a good feeling and knew that I was in good hands.

We had a great wedding. Steven helped us stay within budget, while still helping us achieve our vision of what we wanted at the wedding. Our guests had a great time, which was the most important thing for us.
