    Joyful, professional, amazing woman!

    Jocelyn was the most phenomenal planner, advisor, and caretaker for our daughter's January 2023 wedding. Her recommended vendors were fabulous, and the care she took with every step of the wedding was exceptional. She brought humor and joy to the process and truly listened to what the bride and groom wanted. On the day of the wedding, she was a calm presence, and knowing that she was there to manage all of the moving pieces was a huge relief -- we could just enjoy the beautiful day she helped to create!

    Jocelyn was an amazing coordinator who's services paid for itself

    If you want a low stress, high impact wedding that follows your vision Jocelyn is your dream Month of Coordinator. I had previously done amateur day of coordination work for friends so had a very clear idea of how I wanted my wedding to look and wanted to do the bulk of the design and vendor picking myself but also knew that my husband and I just wanted to sit back and relax the weekend of our wedding. So when we met Jocelyn at a vendor showcase at our venue, The Museum of Life and Science, we knew we had found the right person. Because of her depth of experience with our venue she was able to plan and account for all of the idiosyncrasies of the museum, including when we threw in a curve ball of switching out the white tent included at the venue for a clear top tent and adding lighting. We ran into some last few week issues with logistics and fees with the venue for this detail and Jocelyn was able to jump in and get it handled efficiently and for half of the added cost we were originally quoted by the venue which meant we saved a good chunk of the money we paid for her services. I can confidently say that hiring Jocelyn was an “added cost” to our wedding planning that 110% paid for itself. We included add on hours to our planning to lay out budget expectations, because we had an idea of a total amount we wanted to spend but were unsure how that money should be broken up within that total, so we did not do something like accidentally over allocate money on food and leave none for flowers. This was insurmountably important to keep our budget on track, even though we did end up ballooning our budget a bit with the extra year we had from being a COVID postponed wedding. Which Jocelyn was also a consummate professional about. When we were overly cautious in April 2020 and postponed our October 2020 wedding for the following year Jocelyn was such a gem and reached out to all of our vendors and arranged the postponement with them so we didn’t have to do it when we were already emotionally drained from making this heavy decision. We were so touched and she was able to confirm all of our vendors so we were able to keep all of our “dream team”. Leading up to the wedding we had some meetings about a month out wherein Jocelyn was able to identify a hole in our planning and priorities - aka the fact that we had not picked a DJ as we did not intend to have dancing at our dinner party style wedding. She was able to recommend a trusted vendor - Frankie at Island Sound who was not only available but also the perfect fit for our wedding. On the day of we were confident all day that everyone and everything would be exactly as we planned and really truly did enjoy our wedding with no stress. I had a lot of signage, wedding branding, and even a memorial table with our passed family member’s favorite foods and photos and Jocelyn was able to execute all of the details just as I’d imagined. Even our photographer who works on hundreds of weddings a year complimented us on having one of the best coordinators she has ever worked with and has now recommended Jocelyn to her other clients still looking for a vendor. The closest thing to a disaster was that right before dinner a rattlesnake came to investigate the patio the dinner buffet had been laid out on, which delayed eating but the situation was handled so elegantly by Jocelyn and the venue that us and all of our guests now only consider it a funny story. That’s the type of coordinator you need, one that thinks on her feet and leaves you and your guests with nothing but happy memories. I would use Jocelyn again for a high impact event and have definitely recommended her to our friends.

    If I could give Jocelyn 1000 stars, I would. Her professionalism and knowledge of the industry was great. She was able to keep me calm during the planning process (oh, to be a “COVID” bride). She kept us on schedule and checked in often during planning. She is well known in the industry and only suggested the best vendors! I am appreciative of all of her hard work and knack for detail.     Stress-free wedding

    Jocelyn made wedding planning a truly stress-free experience. She walked me through every detail to make sure she clearly understood my vision. She covered every base and I felt completely comfortable allowing her to handle everything. About two weeks prior to my wedding, I was so at ease I thought I was forgetting to do something. She said “that means I’m doing my job!” If anything went wrong on my wedding day, I know nothing about it because Jocelyn and her and her team executed flawlessly. Even a few guests commented how kind and professional she was. I was extremely pleased with their work from beginning to end. I would highly recommend A Paradigm Shift Event to anyone who wants the best.

    Excellent!!

    Overall, Jocelyn Warren helped make our 50th wedding anniversary a success. She responded to our request immediately, was knowledgeable, coordinated with vendors, directed us to a magnificent venue, suggested decor, and guided the program participants. She did much more, but what I liked most is that she treated our celebration with as much care as she would have for her own event! Great Job!!

    For 2 busy people, this was the Best.Decision.Everrr!

    Jocelyn is THE BEST wedding coordinator everrrrr! Jocelyn is professional and knows her stuff when it comes to etiquette, traditions, and alternative options and ideas for all aspects of weddings. We experienced the Full Service Wedding Planning & Design package, and it was a lifesaver as we are both busy professionals and hardly had time to add anything more to our to-do lists!

    Jocelyn was excellent at communicating with us throughout the process. We had a few in-person meetings, monthly Skype sessions, and she was available by and responsive to our many calls, texts, and emails. Jocelyn did thorough research for the venue and all vendors for our wedding, and always presented us with multiple options including the pros and cons of each choice. When asked, she would give her professional opinion, and always respected our choices.

    In the beginning, we had vague ideas of what we wanted for our wedding. Jocelyn shaped our ideas into reality, making them authentic to our personalities, interests, and desires. In the end, the rehearsal, the wedding, and the reception all ran smoothly, without a hitch! (Even *if* there was a mishap, we had NO clue because Jocelyn & her team made sure everything was handled by them on the wedding day.) My husband and I (and our guests) had a BLAST! Our special day was so well-planned out that it was hassle-free and worry-free for both of us—which is how a wedding SHOULD be for the bride and groom!

    It has been 6 months since the wedding and we are STILL getting compliments about how cute our customized save-the-dates, invitations, and wedding programs were; how well the wedding, cocktail hour, and reception events “flowed seamlessly”; how the theme of our wedding suited us perfectly; and how much fun everyone had! A lot of our family commented about how Jocelyn was such a “sweet young woman” who was on top of things and always cordial. The venue’s staff even made remarks about how impressed they were with the professionalism and organization of Jocelyn and her team throughout the process and especially on the wedding day. (Jocelyn’s creativity, ingenuity, experience, and keen sense of logistics provided the venue staff with ideas for future weddings and receptions at their venue.) Even our photographers and videographer commented on how easy it was to working with Jocelyn.

    Oh, and we live in Maryland and the wedding was here, too. So, Jocelyn was able to give us ALL of this top-notch service from North Carolina! (She did travel to meet with us a few times in person, especially for venue visits.)

    Side note: My fiancé and I had seen Jocelyn/APSE's work as a “day of” coordinator at a wedding where we were guests. Both of us agreed it was the best wedding we had ever attended—started on time; reception ran smoothly/no “boring” moments, etc. We KNEW that we wanted her to coordinate our wedding!

    We hired A Paradigm Shift event for partial wedding planning services, decor/design services, and day of coordination. We booked Jocelyn about a year before our wedding and I am soooo glad we did!!! We were planning our wedding from out of state, but Jocelyn made the planning process so easy. Throughout the entire year leading up to the wedding, everyone kept saying how calm I was as the bride, and my response was always, “it’s all because of Jocelyn!!” One of the things I was most impressed with aside from her professionalism and attention to detail was how quickly she learned me as the bride. Her vendor recommendations and decor selections were always on point!!! She made it so easy for me (an extreme Type A bride) to trust her vision. Our guests are still talking about how beautiful our wedding day was and we owe so much of that to the A Paradigm Shift Event team. I highly recommend them!

    A Paradigm Shift Event was one the best decisions I could have made, during a time when I was coping with the loss of a parent member, yet still wanted to celebrate a significant accomplishment in my daughter’s life. Jocelyn was simply amazing in helping me organize my thoughts and ideas for the celebration. She leveraged resources which helped me stay on task amidst competing priorities, and she provided design options that helped me balance the “must haves” with my personal budget contraints. My daughter’s college graduation celebration was absolutely magical in every aspect. If you’re thinking A Paradigm Shift Event is limited to weddings, please do not place them in a box. Jocelyn is amazing and her design style is very adaptable. She is well connected with the right vendors to bring an event together that is truly seamless. I can’t say enough about A Paradigm Shift Event, Jocelyn and her team. Do yourself a favor and let a professional ensure your event represents you well without the unnecessary stress.     Just to give a little backstory.

    My husband and I were planning our Wedding with another "DOC" for almost eight months. Fast forward to two months before our Wedding we fired her because she wasn't responding. After a few meltdowns, we searched to find someone who could help on short notice. I checked a few places, and then I saw a Paradigm Shift Event. I gave her a call, and she responded quickly. I told her my story, and she wanted to have a meeting. We met the next week, and it was a perfect fit. After being so stressed out the past couple of months, we were finally able to breathe. We handed everything over to her, and she picked up all the pieces. The wedding day turned out fantastic thanks to Jocelyn and her incredible team! We would quickly book her again for any event.     If you're looking for an exceptional wedding planner, we highly recommend Jocelyn Warren and her staff of A Paradigm Shift Event. We hired Jocelyn as our "day of" coordinator for our daughter Sara’s wedding, and it was among the best decisions we made. Jocelyn was extremely responsive to our questions and issues, and she provided excellent guidance to us throughout the rather stressful process of planning and executing Sara and Jordan’s wedding. Arranging their wedding ceremony and reception was logistically challenging, since we were planning it from out-of-state. Jocelyn facilitated Skype meetings with the bride and groom, and she was always available online, or otherwise, to discuss the many questions we had and the details that needed to be addressed. The wedding ceremony and reception went perfectly -- we could not have handled it without Jocelyn's amazing communication skills, organizational abilities, and over-the-top assistance. Kudos to Jocelyn and her team for a terrific job, and for keeping us sane throughout the process!

    Jocelyn was the reason my wedding was everything that I dreamed. Her attention to detail and experience was above reproach. I have had so many people that both attended our wedding or saw pictures that constantly asked for Jocelyn's information. She is patient, kind and a true professional. On the day of my wedding, it was not a cloud in the sky nor was rain forecasted on the news, but Jocelyn not only knew when it was going to rain she made sure our ceremony was reset without anyone every knowing it was suppose to be outside! She is amazing and there are not enough words to describe how VITAL she was to our wedding day!

    I am so glad we hired Jocelyn as our day-of coordinator! We got married during my first year as a resident physician, which was overwhelming at times. We knew what we wanted and were able to do most of the wedding planning on our own, but it was really helpful to have regular phone/e-mail check-ins with Jocelyn to make sure no balls were dropped. I seriously do not think I could have done the month before the wedding without her: it was a really busy month for me at work, and Jocelyn made sure all of the final details/logistics were worked out so I didn't have to worry about anything. She is organized and laid back and incredibly easy to work with. I don't plan on getting married again, but if I did (or if I ever have another big event to plan), I would hire Jocelyn in a heartbeat.

    Working with Paradigm Shift Events was an AMAZING experience. Jocelyn was an essential part of making our wedding a special day. We had the partial planning package that included day of coordination. Jocelyn helped us find vendors, went with us to meetings, gave us advice, and made sure we were on schedule throughout the planning process. She always kept in mind our budget and made sure to work within those parameters. Jocelyn worked hard to get to know us as a couple to ensure that she understood our vision and our needs were met. She was very accessible and was open to all forms of communication, which even included having Skype meetings. Overall, Paradigm Shift Events well exceeded our expectations. It was evident also to our guests how poised, organized, and efficient Jocelyn and her staff were on our special day. We would highly recommend their services to any of our family and friends in need of event planning.

    I hired Jocelyn to be my wedding planner only ONE month before my wedding date. I was having issues with my venue coordinator and I was in desperate need of some help and guidance with my wedding. Jocelyn took me on with no questions asked. She treated me as if we had brought her on months before the big day. She dove head first into connecting with all of my vendors and putting every little detail in place where it should be. She was also very informative when it came to the smaller moving pieces that we would have never thought of ourselves. Because of all this I was completely stress free when I could have easily lost it without her, and our wedding went off without a hitch. I literally can not think of anything I would have changed and that's all because of Jocelyn. We are so incredibly thankful to have met her and to have worked with her. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a full wedding planner or even a day of coordinator. She was a godsend!

    Jocelyn and her team helped make our day absolutely awesome! Jocelyn was very speedy at answering emails and any questions we had during our 16 month planning process. Although she was just our day of planner she made her self available to us the entire time and helped whenever needed. She also did awesome at pairing our personalities with vendors that were perfect for us when it was needed. She is definitely an expert in the field and I would recommend her to any and everyone!!!

    Jocelyn did a wonderful job with our wedding. She is easy to get along with. As a couple who basically had no clue of how I wanted things, she made the process pain-free and easy. She provided us with options for everything and didn't push to do anything we didn't want to do. She is very detailed oriented and sticks to a schedule. If anything went wrong we wouldn't know because Jocelyn and her team did a great job of keeping people and things together. She made sure we didn't have to worry about anything the day of the wedding. Jocelyn is awesome and we highly recommend her.

    Jocelyn was the day-of-coordinator for our wedding, and we would not have been able to pull off such an amazing event without her. To say that she was prepared is an understatement. She met with us several times in the months leading up to our wedding, during which we discussed every possible detail of the wedding (there were so many things we hadn't thought of!). She took thorough notes that she later organized into a day-of timeline for the wedding day! Jocelyn is also very connected to local vendors of all kinds, which helped us find an incredible DJ and makeup artist (and save money!). Throughout the planning process, we had a few family issues, but Jocelyn helped us tackle each concern thoughtfully while reminding us to keep things in prospective. The day of our wedding was perfect! Jocelyn and her team did not exclude a single detail. The ceremony was organized flawlessly, the reception venue was set up better than my husband and I could have fathomed, and the smooth flow of events allowed us and our guests to enjoy the event to its maximum. I can say with confidence that there were several things we didn't even know about that Jocelyn and her team were three steps ahead of. Jocelyn outdid herself as a professional with her attention to our wedding, but she also outdid herself personally by truly caring for my husband and me. I cannot recommend her highly enough!

    We could not have had such a perfect wedding day if it wasn't for Jocelyn and her team!! Jocelyn thought of so many details that were necessary to our big day. She answered many etiquette questions that I had and made some really great recommendations on different aspects of our wedding based on her experience. She took the time to communicate with us the month before the wedding and executed beautifully. The value of her team's service was great. The team made the day so easy for me, my now husband Nic, and both of our families. It was really important that I had, along with our families, as little stress as possible leading up to and through the big day. We highly recommend A Paradigm Shift Event for your needs!!!

    We started planning our giant Indian wedding extravaganza about three months before the big day(s). The process was overwhelming at first. An event coordinator at one of our two venues saw our distress and suggested Jocelyn as our weekend coordinator. After our first meeting, we knew immediately that she would be a great fit - what a relief!! Jocelyn coordinated an entire weekend of wedding events, including a Friday night reception in Venue 1, a Saturday morning wedding ceremony in Venue 2, a one-hour room flip in Venue 2, a Saturday evening horse procession to Venue 2, and a Saturday evening reception in Venue 2. Before our wedding, she calmly dealt with a multitude of decoration and logistical requests from myself and the extended family. She was never flustered, always flexible with her time, and always extremely optimistic. She also had great suggestions for vendors and services that fell within our limited budget. The weekend of our wedding went beautifully, and while some minor details ended up falling through the cracks (centerpieces were different from what we planned - not that anyone but the immediate family noticed!), nothing major went wrong - which is a HUGE accomplishment for a massive Indian wedding planned only in 90 days. Many of our wedding guests told us it was the most organized Desi wedding they had ever gone to. What an achievement! None of this would have been possible without Jocelyn. Her and her team are the absolute BEST!!!

    Our wedding was August 15, 2105, throughout the planning of our event, we had various setbacks that caused our date to be changed a few times, but A Paradigm Shift was understanding and really accommodating. Jocelyn listened to us, and was able to connect with vendors that would bring our dreams into reality. If professionalism, consistency, and creativity is what you are looking for, then Jocelyn and her team at A Paradigm Shift is the planner for you.

    We definitely couldn't have had such a beautiful day without A Paradigm Shift. We continue to receive feedback from our guests, about the decorations, food and overall experience.

    A few months before our wedding, I was trying to decide whether or not I needed to get a day-of coordinator. I ended up deciding to hire Jocelyn with A Paradigm Shift Event, and have never regretted it. Jocelyn was great throughout the last-minute planning process - from recommending online suppliers and vendors, asking questions I had never though of about the logistics of the reception, to putting together timelines and coordinating everyone on the big day. She always had timely responses to my questions, and was very friendly and good to work with. I am so glad we had Jocelyn and her crew help on the day of the wedding, and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a wedding planner!

    Jocelyn was the best event planner ever! We actually hired Jocelyn as our month of coordinator and she truly followed our vision and brought our DREAM wedding to life! On the day of our wedding Jocelyn made sure that our décor was on point while also making sure that our vendors were in place. I received great feedback from my vendors stating that she was so easy to work with, well organized and her professional time line that she created for my vendors was very helpful! Even on our actual day when things shook up a little before the wedding Jocelyn came in with her calming spirit and made things ok. Words cant express how much she assisted us with executing our wedding day! My only REGRET is that we wished we had hired her sooner! This would have saved us a lot of stress because she is just that awesome. Also I did I mention that she is very talented? She does it all from décor, specialized menus, escort cards and specialized ring bearer signs just to name a few. Future brides if your looking for someone to assist with planning your wedding hire Jocelyn Warren! I promise it will be one of the BEST decisions you ever made!     I hired Jocelyn to help me with organizing the day of my wedding. She was fantastic! She started out helping me a little more than a month out. She met me with some vendors, and selections, and organized everything else. She is always on time, and does her job very well. I could not have done this in my own. I am extremely happy that i found her and that she helped my now husband and i have the most fantastic wedding EVER! Anyone ever looking for the best help in Raleigh, shes def your gal! Will hire her for any other future large events!

    My family and I were extremely pleased with the baby shower planned and facilitated by A Paradigm Shift Event. The food was great, the games were fun, and the pace of the event allowed for flexibility and lots and lots of family-style laughter and conversation.     Jocelyn provided day of coordination services for my wedding. I added her to the team late in the process. She was AWESOME!!!!! She created our day of timeline. Coordinated with all my vendors before the wedding, and provided them the day of timeline. Her team setup the reception and made sure all reception activities occurred on time. I would highly recommend her to any bride. She has a wealth of knowledge and a large network of vendors. She was able to provide recommendations for other vendors I needed for the wedding.

    Jocelyn and her team were professional and an absolute pleasure to work with! I met with Jocelyn and explained what I wanted/did not want as far as wedding decor, and she captured my vision exactly. When I saw the ceremony and reception areas for the first time, I was so happy at how beautiful everything looked. We received so many compliments from guests throughout the evening, particularly about the amazing centerpieces.     A paradigm shift events was the absolute best decision we made for our wedding. Jocelyn and her team were professional and were able to foresee and address any problem before it became an issue. They made sure that every single aspect of our special day was just as we discussed. They were flexible and willing to meet with us and even on the day of, were willing to make last minute changes. I know that our day would not have been as successful or as beautiful if we did not have them. I will recommend them to anybody who is planning an event.     I hired Jocelyn and her team as my day-of coordinator for my 9/20/14 wedding. She and her team completely exceeded my expectations in every aspect. Despite technically being only a day-of-coordinator, she helped me in the months leading up to the wedding by suggesting vendors and just lending an ear to my ideas. She was always quick to respond and had me laughing during the entire planning process. The week of the wedding she organized all of my vendors and even they expressed how professional and wonderful she was to work with. She thought of things I had never considered, and I was an extremely organized and Type-A bride, and helped me feel comfortable and relaxed leading up to the big day. At the wedding she intervened when things went wrong and made sure that all of my needs were met. I never even knew about some of the things that she handled at the wedding because she was just that good.

    I completely trusted Jocelyn with my wedding and she knocked it out of the park. I would hire Jocelyn again in a heartbeat. Best money spent on the wedding.

    I don't believe I have the time or character space to do justice, but I will try. My mother and I sought out Jocelyn's help a full two (2!!) weeks before my wedding. We didn't know how badly we needed her help. At first, we were looking for someone to decorate the venue prior to our arrival. Jocelyn came back with a full day-of-event coordination package. She and her staff helped make sure everyone was where they needed to be, when they needed to be there; they decorated the venue more beautifully than I could've imagined; they got the rentals, set-up, and returned rentals; put out snacks, refilled drinks; and they basically made sure the day ran smoothly and as we desired. As soon as I hired Jocelyn, my now-husband, my mother, and I said over and over 'I don't know what we'd do without Jocelyn.' The day of the wedding, I found myself saying the same. But even then, we still didn't realize just HOW MUCH we needed her. Now, AFTER the wedding, we have stated an infinite number of times 'WOW, I don't know what we would've done without Jocelyn!'
    The attention to detail, the coordination, the level of effort on behalf of Jocelyn and her staff impressed us all beyond words. The utter relief we felt after the day was over-and the semi-panic at what could have been-has made a lasting impression on us. We are all too aware of what a disaster our wedding day could have been, and how absolutely amazing it turned out! Any and every bride or groom I speak with will hear the name "Jocelyn Warren" from me, forever!

    Jocelyn, quite simply, "made" the event. After initial discussions about concept, Jocelyn organized, planned and arranged the vast majority of the event, sticking very closely to the original planned "feel". Every detail seemed to have been thought of and planned for, even to the extent of planning for things that I would want (and miss), that had not been expressed.
    I would recommend her services and plan to use Paradigm Shift again.

    Jocelyn served as our "Day-of" coordinator for our wedding June 7th at Rose Hill Plantation in Nashville, NC. She and her staff were WONDERFUL. I cannot express enough how valuable Jocelyn's services were to getting our wedding more than we ever imagined it could be.

    My mom and I spent a lot of time and effort finding a planner, and I think it definitely paid off. Jocelyn is very confident and professional in what she does. She was very good about thinking through things that I had not even considered for the big day, which ensured our day ran through as smoothly as possible.

    Jocelyn was also extremely good about responding back to my emails in a very timely manner. We are so thankful for choosing A Paradigm Shift Events for our event. If there is anything that I may have done differently, it would have been to have opted for more than just "Day-of" coordination.

    from the very first day (July 12, 2013) A Paradigm Shift Event was contracted till the day (12/22/13) of the Wedding everything went so smoothly there was nothing I asked they couldn't or did not do from helping me pick out linen, flowers they went above and beyond my expectations. The day of the Wedding the staff was there for what ever we (bride maids and I) needed making sure our stylist and makeup artist were there on time.     We hired Jocelyn to be the coordinator for our wedding on November 8th, 2013. Jocelyn was more than AMAZING, and we are so thankful that we found her! She had wonderful suggestions and advice for our wedding day. She responded to emails promptly, and checked in with us often to see how our end of the planning was going. She was so pleasant to work with, and we LOVED her cheerful personality. Several of our guests and our photographer commented on how "on top of it" Jocelyn and her team were throughout our day.     Jocelyn Warren was hired by me Bridgette, to organize and help with the Event production needs at my Husband's 50th Birthday Event Party. My husband and I were both very pleased with the fantastic work she put into the layout of the ball room, and the decorations were fabulously arranged. We also really liked her creativity and the ultimate professionalism she showed with the attentiveness to the needs of me and my party guest. She was very conscientious of the needs to service the entertainers and with getting them paid. This woman was totally on point with everything. It isn't often that I meet people especially Party planners that you don't have to spell things out to, but Jocelyn was so on point with everything and was always there to assist me needed. Having her take care of the party event needs took so much pressure off of me. They were able to have the room cleaned up and we were out of there in record time. I am very please. In fact we are going to hire her for another event we're having in the latter part of the spring. I would recommend her to everyone. My guest were thoroughly impressed with her presence and her professionalism. Jocelyn Warren has made "Paradigm Shift Events" look really good she is a great asset to your company.     A wonderful experience

    Overall, this was my first time getting married and my last so I have nothing to compare it to - however, I have spoken with brides who didn't hire a wedding planner, and could see that my experience was remarkably less stressful with Jocelyn by my side. While there were some slight hiccups and a few times when I was unclear why I was paying her, the day of experience made it worth it. She is kind and knows vendors in the Raleigh area. She made me confident in my vision of what I wanted and how I wanted it executed on the day. Although there were things that didn't go according to plan, perfection is a high bar to raise. She is only human after all. I would recommend her highly with the knowledge that you should be clear upfront with what your package or whatever you pay for includes so that neither of you are confused.
