We LOVED working with Rachael! I thought I didn't need a day of wedding planner but once we hired Rachael, I realized the true value of her role and expertise. She was fantastic and although I love being in control, she made me feel at ease, especially on the big day. I would highly recommend Rachael! -

Choosing Rachael as my wedding planner was the best decision I ever made. She made the whole planning process so much easier and was there for every step of the way to guide us in the right direction. From providing us with valuable insight regarding choosing the best vendors, to working together to create the most beautiful details for every event, to ensuring our wedding weekend ran smoothly from start to finish, Rachael went above and beyond for us. She was on top of all of the vendors and took care of so many small details so that we could be present and enjoy the day. We are so lucky to have worked with Rachael and would absolutely recommend her to every couple who wants an amazing, hands-on, and organized planner who will do everything possible to make sure that you have your dream wedding. -

We could not imagine our wedding without Rachael and the A Fine Fete team. From beginning to end, she helped us navigate the entire process and ultimately pull off the most memorable event of our lives! We were definitely overwhelmed going into the entire planning process, but she helped us stay organized and calm at every step. She had amazing suggestions and recommendations that we would never have thought of that truly took things to the next level.
Because of Rachael we could completely enjoy the day and not worry about a thing. She kept things organized and coordinated so smoothly with all of our vendors. No stress and no drama all thanks to Rachael!

Rachael was an outstanding coordinator for our wedding this May. She really listened and got to know us as a couple and what we cared about for our wedding day. This ensured that we spent money on things that mattered to us and didn't waste money on things that weren't as important. Rachael has a ton of contacts in the wedding industry and was able to help get us connected with hair and makeup people on short notice and also provided recommendations for a florist and limo/bus services. She was incredibly on top of everything leading up to the event and we went into the wedding day without any concerns because the timeline was mapped out so effectively. Rachael was also very hands on throughout the day and when a few minor things happened on the venue's side she was right there and helped sort them out quickly, which was hugely appreciated. We had some out of the box ideas for dance floor costumes and props and Rachael was very supportive and helped make our vision come to life. I would highly recommend her to anyone getting married! -

Rachael was absolutely wonderful to work with!!! ALWAYS on her game, super responsive and communicative, quick and extremely knowledgeable, Rachael had a handle on everything from the second we met. She is a straight shooter who always goes above and beyond for her clients. Anything you think of, Rachael has thought about…and then some. I did the partial planning and she was absolutely amazing throughout the whole process and I was beyond grateful to have her present for my wedding weekend. She was such a calming, yet in-charge, had everything under control presence. Because of this, I was able to 100000% kick back, relax and enjoy my wedding. No joke, I had zero stress on my wedding day and that was in large part because I KNEW, Rachael’s got this. And she did. From my perspective, my wedding day was pretty darn perfect. She was prepared for EVERYTHING! Rachael has been in the wedding industry for a long time and trained under one of the most reputable, tenured planners in the DC area. when that planner retired, she went off on her own carrying with her all of that experience, vendor relationships, knowledge and applied her own style and vision. She is unstoppable! Also, I need to mention that she is a wonderful, hilarious human that I enjoyed spending a tooonnn of time with over the course of six months. I will be recommending Rachael and her team to my friends and family without hesitation. Don’t be fooled by buzzy, uber instagram-y wedding vendors. You want a team that is 100% focused on YOU and your day, not just getting the perfect instagram content. From 600+ guest 3 day South Asian weddings to luxury, black tie weddings to modern, chic micro weddings, Rachael has and can do it all. Ask her clients :) Thank you RK!!! -

Hiring Rachael and A Fine Fete as our month-of-coordinator was by far the best decision we made! After our first consultation phone call, our stress melted away. Her attention to detail, experience, and ability to take control of a crowd were exactly what we needed. She made herself available for phone calls and in person meetings to go over the timeline, logistics and all the little details that we didn't even know about. She made sure that there was a place for every-thing, that everything was in it's place and that we stuck to the schedule. All we had to do was get ready to have the most wonderful day possible. We were incredibly lucky to have Rachael's help for our wedding, and we would recommend hiring her to absolutely anyone. -

Rachael was phenomenal! The biggest reason that we were interested in working with Rachael as her knowledge of interfaith ceremonies. She was able to help us to navigate the do's and don'ts while still keeping families happy. Rachael is very organized and will provide a specific timeline that has all important information that you need, so you don't have to worry about a thing on the wedding day. She even kept our event running on time, which was a huge blessing. We are so grateful for all that she did to help us to make our wedding the best day ever! -

Absolutely Perfect Wedding
Our wedding was more perfect than we could have imagined!! We hosted a large, Indian Fusion wedding celebration for two families with very different expectations. The wedding that Rachael planned blew everyone away. She managed to create a wedding that pleased both sides of the family without sacrificing my husband’s and my desired esthetic. Everything about the day was amazing and we have received rave reviews from both sides saying it was the best wedding they ever attended. Rachael ensured that everything ran smoothly throughout the entire planning process, leaving us with nothing to do on the day of the wedding except enjoy. We couldn’t recommend A Fine Fete highly enough!! -

We hired Rachael to be our wedding planner and could not have been happier with our decision. We had so much fun planning our wedding with her (a little too much fun at times - que wine hangovers!) She knows her stuff about the DC/MD/VA wedding industry and was instrumental in identifying great vendors in our price range. Her no-nonsense personality was key on the day of to ensure our wedding wishes were granted and I trusted that our day would go off without a hitch with her in charge. Like she markets herself, she truly is down to earth and works well with couples who don't take themselves too seriously. I'm super type-A and could certainly be a bridezilla at times (thanks COVID wedding stress) but Rachael was always calm and collected and made me feel better about my worries. If you are on the fence about hiring a wedding planner - DO IT! They are worth every penny of your sanity and Rachael always asked questions in our vendor meetings that we didn't even consider. If you want a wedding planner who will meet you for happy hour or a Sunday funday so that wedding planning seems fun (and less like a chore) Rachael is your gal! -

BEST DAY EVER!!! We had the most wonderful experience working with Rachael from A Fine Fete! A Fine Fete is TOP NOTCH!! If you're looking for a wedding planner who is up to date on trends, knows all of the best vendors in the area, is professional and knows how to organize and throw the most amazing wedding, A Fine Fete is who you want to book and work with! I described my dream wedding to Rachael and she was able to execute and make it happen! Rachael and her team work so hard to make your day the absolute best. My wedding day was everything I had always invisioned and more! Not one detail was missed. I truly can't say enough good things about Rachael and her team! Rachael knew our budget and was able to recommend vendors that were amazing and also within our budget. Not to mention we absolutely loved all the vendors who we worked with! Rachael helped us with everything and because of that our wedding went off without any issues. It was truly the best day ever! Even our guests cant stop talking about our wedding and saying it was one of the best weddings they have ever been to. We cannot recommend Rachael and the A Fine Fete team highly enough. Rachael is an amazing wedding planner, total professional, and all-around icon. I met Rachael when she was planning my sister's wedding. Watching her in action, I knew we needed her for ours.
The highest compliment we can give is that we have recommended Rachael unequivocally to our closest friends in the D.C. area - and now we recommend her to you, internet. In terms of specifics, a few things stand out from our nearly two years working with Rachael:
Experience: While Rachael has recently started her own business, she has spent years as a wedding planner. It really shows, from the relationships she has with vendors to the speed and ease with which she's able to answer random questions to really knowing what matters - and what doesn't - when planning a wedding. She doesn't let a single detail fall through the cracks.
Value: Rachael went above and beyond the terms of our contract to ensure that every aspect of our wedding was seamless and tailored. This sort of thing is hard to put a price tag on. She did things that I didn't even ask her to do (like text back and forth with my mom about welcome bags, bless her, or find design elements on Instagram that lined up with our vision and proactively send them to us for inspiration). I work in client service and can say with 100% certainty that I would never go the extra mile for my clients the way Rachael did for us.
Flexibility: With Rachael, you are not getting a one-size-fits-all wedding planning experience. She goes out of her way to cultivate new vendor relationships for you and is always willing to try something new. We really appreciated how she put us and our vision first - and then executed it to perfection! While Rachael was always deferential to our taste, she made sure we understood our options and always flagged opportunities for us to introduce personalized touches.
Fun: Rachael is fun!!! Given the amount of time you spend planning a wedding, it's worth it to work with someone you genuinely enjoy. My mom literally flew out for our tasting because she had so much fun with Rachael during my sister's. She makes the experience less stressful and lets you rest assured that everything is handled. When we rescheduled our wedding due to COVID-19, Rachael dropped off a fully designed absolutely delicious wedding cake to our HOME on our would-be wedding date. The cake design mirrored my wedding dress. It truly brought me to tears.
Speaking as a couple who were hesitant to use a wedding planner initially, we now cannot imagine how our wedding would have turned out without Rachael. Book her before everyone in DC finds out and she's busy on your date!! -
