The story starts with Eric, and I joined later...... A little tidbit that is needed, we attended high school together and didn't know each other. We also had some of the same friends and never ran across each other. Now lets fast forward 30 years later. Over the years, McKinley Tech High School alumni would have activities that I and/or he would attend. I don't remember seeing him but unbeknownst to me, he was checking me out and telling a friend "I am going to say something to her" but never did. In late 2010 our class sponsored a trip to Atlantic City I went and Eric was suppose to go but didn't. We missed each other again. It is now 2011 and this year is our 30 year reunion. Our reunion weekend starts with our Meet & Greet being held on August 11, 2011 which was also my birthday. Since it was the Meet & Greet I had to go, and yeah I was looking good if I should say so myself. He spoke to me and I said hi back and that was it. He bought me a drink and I thought nothing of it because he bought one for the entire table. Nice evening with school friends. The dinner was the next night, he arrived and joined the table where I was sitting, and when it was time to leave he walked me and a schoolmate to our cars. My friend asked me to call her when I got home, I informed her that I was not going home but to Baltimore. He asked if I lived in Baltimore I said no, but he ask for me to call him when I got to my destination. I told him I wasn't going home again and he said for me to call, so at that time I took his number. When I arrived at my destination I texted him that I had arrived safely. He called me 30 minutes later, when I didn't answer he called back again. This time I answered and said I had arrived and I would talk to him tomorrow. The next day was the class cookout, he introduced himself to my daughter and grandson. He was never far away we would make eye contact and were in several pictures together. After the church service the following Sunday some of our classmates were going to one of the alumni's house. He asked if I was going I told him no because I didn't know her, he said there will be others there that I knew. So I said I would come. I decided to go home and change clothes he got the address for me and also told me we could meet somewhere and I could follow him. I said no, I would be ok. He asked me out to the movies for the next Saturday, I told him yes but I would need to meet him because I had something to do at my church. So we met at the parking lot of the theater, when he pulled up beside my car I could see what he was wearing. I said oh do you like the color "RED"? he had on a red T-shirt and a red Nationals cap. He said it's fine, why you don't. I responded just wait you will see, when I got out of my car, I had on a red top..... blue jeans with red piping down the side with red shoes. He didn't realize at first than it hit him. We had another date for the next Saturday and we did it again with the colors, so we started calling each other and asking what color the other was going to wear. Well since I did all the typing let's see what Mr Petty has to say. He said, I think that sums it up and the next chapter soon to begin.......EP & TJ
