We met in November 2007. It was a great series of events in my life that had to happen in order to meet Rick. I won't go into details, but rest assured, there's no way it wouldn't have happened had it not been for the fact that we both had an extra concert ticket! Rick had tried to offer his extra ticket to his friend from college, Eric, but he wasn't interested. I had recently gone on a blind, crazy craigslist (I'm desperate to meet a guy) date with Eric and, despite us not wanting to "date" again, I offered him my ticket (to the same concert) so I had someone to go along with. Eric accepted my ticket and arranged for the three of us to meet at his house before the show. I remember very clearly the first time I saw rick. He walked in, and I was immediately intrigued. He talked for a while, and I just keep getting more and more interested. I mean, I hadn't met a guy who had me interested after only a few sentences...ever. I'm convinced Eric must have prepped him before he came over... it was almost like he had scripted out my favorite topics. Anyway, we went to the Dropkick Murphys concert and had a BLAST! I remember at the end of the night sharing a round of hugs with everyone because it was just sooo much fun! I convinced them to battle the mosh pit, I got on stage, Eric got on stage and got his picture with the band...it was just an epic night. After that, it was just a matter of getting together again and again before we realized we had to make it official and date. A little over a year later and I moved into his new house. A year or so after that, we were engaged!
