I never believed in soul mates or true love until I met my Jared. It is true how songs and stories go about having to go down the broken roads before you can find happiness. I’m in the military, the Air Guard, I have deployed 4 times, and being a cop in the air guard is a high tempo deployment rate. I have dated guys for long amounts of time and some very, very short periods. I never used dating sites until my friends all set accounts up and I followed just to see what it was all about. I set up one account and that was with ok cupid, and checked it maybe three total times out of the course of 3 years maybe 4 years. When I got home from my 3rd deployment I had so much junk in my hotmail account I wanted to go clean it up. While doing this I saw I still had an OK cupid account so figured I would get on it and delete the account and be done with it. But before I did that ,I saw I had 3 unread messenges, two from the site itself and one from this tall, curly dark hair, blue eyes guy whose e-mail read ‘I see you from Sioux city, not many on from our area. Hit me back if you like if not have a great day’ something about his message made me want to respond. It was 2 weeks old so I was thinking no way will he respond he is way to good looking. Well he did and we talked for weeks on e-mail, messenger, and later on cell phones. Like me he was very shy, but that was only the start of all the things we found we had in common. We both enjoy the outdoors, boating, hunting, fishing, and walking. Both love reading and playing games. Heck even the foods we hate and love r pretty much the same. We started dating almost 2 months after the first e-mail we sent, and fell in love from almost the start, but being shy as we r, it took another month to say those words. He moved in 2 months before I had to leave on my 4th and hopefully last deployment! We took that big step of living together before marriage because we felt we were ready for it and I also needed someone to live in my house (I bought it last year on my very own, before I found my superman) since I was leaving again for a long deployment and so he could care for our baby girls Athena a 4 year old black lab and Emma a 7 month old yellow lab and a daddy girl. We have not officially gotten engaged yet since he wanted to wait for me to get home in a few months, but he has the ring ready for when I step off the freedom bird and back into his arms. The date we already picked since we love July and the 23 is a special number for us!
