Wedding details
Liz and Justin met in August 2007, on Justin's second day of college. Liz, a grade older than him, was employed as a student leader of a first year experience course for incoming freshman. Justin turned out to be in her class. A short while later, Justin messaged Liz on the internet and they chatted, and after hanging out here and there on campus, he asked her to a lunch, and she agreed. However, Liz's bosses did not like the sound of she and one of the boys in her class going to lunch outside of class, and Liz was promptly fired. Thanks, Justin! But, it all turned out for the best. They have been inseparable and have enjoyed each other's company ever since. For dates, they would walk around the shops of downtown Flagstaff, the movies, restaurants, Disneyland, trips to Snowflake or Phoenix, and even a wildlife park in Camp Verde, Arizona. They have grown to enjoy cooking together, as well as just relaxing at home. After dating for two years, Justin popped the question on their anniversary. Liz and Justin had planned an outdoor picnic in celebration of their two-year anniversary. Unknown to Liz, Justin had bought the ring a few weeks prior, and had even talked to her father. However, the day of the picnic, it began to rain. Liz, a worrier, began to panic because she did not want her anniversary picnic ruined. Justin, however, played it smooth. When Liz got to the park where they were supposed to eat, Justin had everything all ready and set up- the sushi, the drinks, the plates and cups and chopsticks. While eating, Justin handed Liz a Chinese take out box to put her extra food in. Inside the Chinese box was a beautiful black Zales box. Upon opening, Liz found her dream ring! Liz had had an inkling that a proposal was somewhere in her future, but she was genuinely surprised, cried a bit, and said yes. By this time, the weather had cleared beautifully, and the sun even came out from behind the clouds for them. A perfect day, in the end!
