So my wedding is in June! When should I go in to get it fitted and everything?

I looked online to how far out to send out invitations and it says 6-8 weeks before! Not sure how accurate that is. I'm getting married in June so not sure if I should send out sooner or just wait?

When going to a florist do you say it's for an event or say for a wedding?! My fiancé thinks you're supposed to say it's got an "event" that way they don't charge you more for a wedding.
