Hi! We’re currently trying to plan a micro-wedding and would love any input or ideas especially from those who’ve pulled something similar off! I’m honestly not opposed to a courthouse wedding, but my fiance’s family is huge, and even after trimming the guest list, we’re still at about 30 people (17 with just immediate family..). That pretty much maxes out most courthouse limits and pushes us into small venue territory and with a tight budget, we are having a hard time trying to plan. This is what we would like to do.. - We want a quick ceremony (we’re not into being the center of attention, it makes us anxious). - After the Ceremony, we’d love to do something simple like a pretzel bar, some desserts, drinks, and just hang out with everyone. Maybe even a fire pit.. smores..something like that! - We’re going for more of a BBQ-style vibe where everyone can just eat, chat, drink, and relax. - We’re trying to keep things very low-key, with a budget of around $2–3k max. - I'd love to plan as little as possible, or keep it to the bare minimum. I don't mind needing to do the decor, bringing a bluetooth speaker or anything like that. But, I don't want to have to coordinate every single thing. Has anyone else done something like this? Any affordable venue recommendations in Maryland where we could pull off something casual like this for 40ish people? We’re open to parks or anything outdoors really (we are BIG outdoor people), old buildings, distilleries etc.. and would like to have our wedding sometime in March Thanks so much in advance! I really appreciate any help or ideas!

Happily married 🎉
