Wedding details
Our story is a little extra special. Our families have known eachother for a very long time. My mother grew up with his mothers family they lived on the same street in fact, my mother went to prom with his uncle. My father grew up with his fathers family same thing lived on the same street and all of them went to the same schools. So naturally when we were born they were all still very close friends. His grandmother (mom's mom) still lived on the same street my grandmother (mom's mom) did and we both went to the same elementary school. Although, I am a year older he mostly grew up with my brother they are both the same age and back then were unseperable. If someone would have told me back then I would end up falling in love with him I would have said they were crazy, lol... Throughout the years our families kept contact even well after they moved to a different city, birthday parties were never missed. In 2004 my cousins had a party for my godfather for his 50th birthday and I was sitting on the same table he was and I started paying attention to how much he had changed and started thinking "hey, not too bad" but it took him all night to finally get the courage to ask me out to dance and the last song they played was Always and Forever by Heatwave I remember we were the only ones dancing and my dads side of the fam were all watching us and making teasing remarks. I noticed he kept putting his lips closer to mine but he wouldn't kiss me. When the song was over and we turned around everyone was just staring at us it felt so uncomfortable, lol...but that night him and a cousin of mine slept over our house and we were up all night watching movies, once everyone was asleep is when he finally kissed me. I have to admit at first I was thinking to myself "what I'm I doing" but as we continued to kiss I felt the butterflies. We've been together ever since and we now have 2 beautliful girls a 5yr old and a 1yr old and on January 10th we will have our 9th year anniversary.
