Wedding details
Jill: I really don't tell stories very well, so here is my abbreviated version. I'll let Greyson give you the good story. Greyson tried to befriend me on Facebook one night. I wasn't sure if we had met before, but we had many friends in common, so I asked him if we knew each other. He thought that maybe we had met before. We talked on FB for a bit and met out one night. After many months of spending much time together and nuturing our friendship, we started dating. We've been together ever since! There is alot more to this story, but we will let Greyson tell you the rest. Greyson: This part depends on how honest I want to be and not sugarcoat things. I guess a marriage is built on honesty however so I should start out by telling the truth. I was working at a local establishment one evening and it was slow, I mean incredibly slow. So Ben Camacci, who I was working with, and I decided it would be a good idea to challenge patrons to car-bomb drinking, games. For those of you who are uninitiated, a car-bomb is a shot made up of half Jameson and half Baileys and then dropped into a half pint of Guinness. You then proceed to chug this concoction as fast as possible. Well after drinking about 10 of these I was, well, quite inebriated. I lived about .75 miles from work and for some dumb reason decided it would be a good idea to drive home. Terrible decision making on my part. I made it home and wasn't tired so I thought Facebook would be a good idea. I logged on and saw a post by an attractive woman on a friends page, so I thought "what the hell, let’s check her out." So I looked through her own profile and thought, wow, she is hot, we should be Facebook friends. So I hit the friend button. A few days went by and I really didn't remember even hitting the button but I receive a message on Facebook from said hot woman that says "do I know you?" Now I am scrambling remembering what I had done and replied maybe, we have about 40 of the same people we know. We sent a few messages back and forth trying to figure this out and decided to meet out in public with friends one evening to see if we really did know each other in passing maybe. We had discussed our love for car-bombs (a theme is developing here) so I said I would buy her one. So I throw on a button shirt with my ugliest tie and met her out. I give her the car-bomb and when she goes to drop it into the glass she splashes it all down my face. It was in my hair, running down my glasses, I was covered in it. Does she apologize?? Nope, she chugs her drink and goes I WIN!! I am just standing there looking at her dripping wet with a WTH look on my face. We hang out for a while and then decide to have lunch together later on in the week. We meet for lunch at a Mediterranean place on Beechmont Ave. and proceed to have a 3 hour lunch where conversation never stopped and it seemed perfectly natural to be sitting there. We have lunch many times after this and talk/text every day. I then offer to cook Jill dinner one evening and she says this would be great. I go to her house and cook a seafood stew that I labored at. Things are cut evenly, takes forever, lots and lots of butter. We eat and all is well. Only later do I learn that she is a trained chef and could have stepped in at any time to save me some embarrassment. After months of hanging out I ask if she would like to go on a date. She says sure, maybe sometime we will. Unbeknownst to Jill, I had set up a picnic with cheese, champagne and crackers at a local park. My mother, Sharon, drove Jill up to the park after mass just to meet me. I had it all set up like a picnic and SURPRISE! First Date!!! And this is the tale of how we met. I am sure there are things I left out but that is only to protect our good names. Jill: In my defense, the drink slipped out of my hand. That's why it splashed all over his face.
