We are having a themed wedding and I am having trouble with how to let my guest know that dressing up is optional but I do expect them to dress formal with out sounding well you know rude....

I know the designers sometimes offer a discount at there trunk shows so I guess my main question is will I have to have money at hand to order the dress at that time to get the discount?
