Our story began in August 2004, we were both high school sophomores and he had moved from a town about 10 minutes away. He walked in (late) to our 7th period health class thinking he was God's gift to women lol. He sat on the row next to me, two seats behind and he instantly caught my eye with his San Antonio Spurs jersey. Fast forward a few weeks, and our small talk ended up bringing us together for a CPR certification we had to do (on a dummy, not on each other!) we clicked on SO many levels. After that, we became the best of friends. I introduced him to my group of friends and everyone got along wonderfully for the next 3 yrs of high school. That same year, also in health class, I met another guy who ended up becoming my long term boyfriend, but that didn't affect mine and my FS friendship throughout the years. We'd double date (he got a girlfriend senior year) and we were all very close. Fast forward to October 2009. I had already broken up with the first long term boyfriend, and FS had broken up with his girlfriend as well. We hadn't kept in touch for a few months because he was sent to New Mexico for training for the Dept. of Homeland Security. On Oct.9, I randomly got a text asking if I wanted to meet up with him and some friends at a club downtown. My heart fluttered and I agreed. I showed up to the club around 11ish, but he didnt get out of work until midnight so I mingled with friends until about 1am when he arrived. We instantly connected and it was as if he'd never been away. After that day, we texted almost daily, and things just went from there. Yes, there was drama with the X's, but we both came to the realization that we couldn't please everybody, and we definately couldn't hide our feelings for each other. In December 2009, we became official. It still amazes me how things work out. He's always been my bestfriend, and little did I know, he was also my soulmate. I'm truly blessed and cannot wait to spend the rest of my life with my bestfriend.
