Wedding details
So it all began when my friend met this random guy at the airport and they exchanged numbers. She didn't want to go out with him alone so she suggested that we double date with one of his friends. I fought it til the very end because I had just had a break up and was not at all looking to date. She nagged me until I finally agreed. First we went to dinner, and it was a bit awkward. My friend doesn't talk much at all so here I was trying to make conversation with these 2 random guys. Then we headed to the bowling alley. We were separated so me and my date got to talking a lot more. By the end of the date, I didn't really want to leave. We went on a 2nd date the next week to a karaoke/pool bar. We talked a ton and had a great time. By that point, I knew I really liked him but there was one catch. He was headed to Afghanistan in just 3 weeks! (Were both in the Army stationed in Alaska). We didn't talk much about it and pretty much spent every single day together. Unfortunately I had to leave for some training a week prior to his departure. At that point we hadn't established anything and I just left. We skyped and he finally came out and told me how he felt. He said that he didn't want to be selfish but that he wouldn't be able to live with himself if he didn't ask me to wait for him. He said that he couldn't wait for a year and take the chances of my being gone when he got back. I agreed that I didn't want to let what he had go and we decided that we would see where it went. He went to Afghanistan and times were hard but we got through it. Eight months into deployment, he went on R&R leave to his hometown in Ohio. I met him there and spent time with him and his family. It was amazing, and that is when he finally said "I LOVE YOU". We both knew that we had both been wanting to say it for months but we didn't want to say it over the phone. So then he went back to Afghanistan and I waited some more. Then April 2012 finally came and he is now back home safely. In June we went to California to see my newly born niece and to have him meet my family. One day we went to Balboa Park in San Diego with my niece and my brother. As we were walking through the huge rose garden he hands my brother his camera to get a good picture of us. As I am posing away, he starts "the speech". Next thing I know he was on one knee with a ring in hand. I was in shock! Apparently he had this planned out for weeks. My brother was in on it and he had already asked my dads permission. I got my picture perfect proposal and soon I will have my picture perfect wedding.

Hi everyone For those of you who are married or are going to be, did you or will you be hiring a MUA? I don't have problems when doing my own make up but i think it would look a little nicer to have...
How many of you ladies are going to be using chalkboards in with your décor? Where did you get yours?? Here's some of my ideas that I want to use!
Hey, ladies. I'm attempting to save some money (aren't we all) and make my own centerpieces. I saw them on Etsy for a rather high price, and figured I can buy the materials and make it myself....
