How early do should I start/plan to involve my Week of Coordinator? I want to have all concerns and expectations defined out prior to the signing of the contract.

Would you rather hire a friend or a professional to be either your Week of/Day of Coordinator? Please give reasons... I'm on the fence with this one! Thanks :-)
