Ryan and I met two years ago at a BBQ party at a mutual friend's house. The company that he works for had just relocated him to the area, and he was temporarily living with our friend, until he could find his own place. I was actually at the party with a guy I was dating at the time, and was introduced to Ryan when my date was mingling across the yard. We hit it off right away, and never ran out of things to talk about the entire night. There was definitely a spark between us, and I couldn't stop thinking about him for weeks after.  We would run into each other when we were out, and needless-to-say me and that guy I was dating broke it off.  I started dating Ryan right away and we just clicked. We had the same interests, liked the same music, and both had a wonderful time together going to the local theater to catch the latest independent films.  Almost a year after we started dating I got pregnant! It was a huge shock... I had just graduated from a university with my BA and was not planning on jumping right into motherhood, but hey... Everything happens for a reason, right? So we moved in together and had a beautiful daughter named Alison.  Ryan had proposed to me when I was pregnant. Much of our family would have preferred us to be married before Alison was born, but we both refused to rush into getting married just to please our family. I always wanted my wedding day to be special... SO now that our daughter is 6-months-old, we are planning our wedding the way we both always envisioned it to be.  Although our story isn't the traditional way it should have gone, I wouldn't change it for the world. I am so excited to celebrate our commitment to each other!
