well... Paul and I have been together for over a year and have been living together for about a year now. We are both in the military- coast guard to be exact which is how we met in july 2011 when I was a new coastie and butchered his last name right in front of him, haha {Thibodeaux}. He had a nasty previous marriage with a gold-digger who I helped him get over as a friend.  We developed a mutual crush since and he asked me out in November 2011.We moved in together that December to save money and thats how we started bonding and he admitted his love to me in march 2012, my birth month. We met eachothers family this summer and he had asked my father for my hand in marriage...without me knowing until after. And to my shock and surprise he said yes! We've been talking about our futures, what we want and expect in life and we both have been talking about marriage for quite some time now. He had been making it to be like I wasn't getting any ring for a few years atleast. And I had believed him until November 3rd 2012, he took me to a dolphin statue(I LOVE dolphins!!) at the beach boardwalk here in Long Beach, WA which is where we live, talking about how he loves me and he'll do anything for me and blah blah blah ;). now I mind you, it was drizzling and I did NOT wanna be outside. So as we come to the dolphin statue he asks if i want to take a picture with it... I look at him weird for he doesnt typically think to or want to take pictures. so ni pose next to it then i get the idea to climb on top of the statue. He takes it and shows it to me.. i look at my wet tired face and say,UGH! he tells me to look better so I do, IDK what hes talking about so he hugs me and asks, "you know I love you, right?" I just groaned, yeeesss, im cold. so he hugs me and then tries to let me go to get on his knee which i wouldnt let him at first bc i was warm nessled into his chest. He had to shove me off to get on his knee. and when he did, I was in TOTAL SHOCK and he simply asked, "will you marry me?" My first immediate response aside from giant eyes and a gasp was, "WHERES THE RING?!" Now I did't mean it like THAT!! I just didn't see it in his hands and hes kinda traditional, so he points inside the mouth of the highest dolphin and there it was... and thats what he had been talking about in the photo when he told me to look closer, happily engaged since :D <3
