Tom and Beth met each other on Match.com in October of 2007. They both had heard good things from other people about meeting that special person and decided to give it a shot. Beth put her profile on Match after her brother had such great luck when he found his fiance on Match.com. Tom had his profile on Match for a while but wasn’t having any luck finding that special person. That is, until Beth put her profile on the website. Tom saw Beth’s profile after she put it up and thought she looked cute, so he read her profile. He thought her profile was very intriguing so he "winked" at Beth to let her know he was interested in getting to know her better. Of course, Beth "winked" right back and they started emailing each other. After emailing each other for a few days, they found out that they worked right down the street from each other, Tom at Stock and Beth at Home Depot, both in Green Bay. They emailed for about two weeks before Beth gave Tom her phone number and asked him to give her a call sometime. When Tom finally had the courage to call Beth, Tom’s brother Jason had to press the call button. After talking on the phone, Tom and Beth decided to meet and go on what was their first date. Four days later, Tom and Beth planned on meeting for the first official time for their date. They were going to go to Curly’s Pub in the Lambeau Field Atrium for dinner and then go see a movie afterward. Tom arrived at Lambeau Field before Beth did, so he waited around by the statues in front of the stadium. When Beth finally arrived, she got out of her car and also wandered over to the statues, where she saw a guy standing in front of one. Even though she didn’t know it was Tom at first because he had his back to her, she walked over. As Beth walked closer, she somehow knew that this "guy" was Tom. And she was right!
