Ryan and I met in 2007. Its kinda of a funny story: My mom and my step dad had been trying to make us meet for months, as was his sister and some friends of the family. We were both skeptical about meeting. (We thought the other was a nerd or something..haha) Anyways so after a couple I dunnos, Ryan ended up meeting someone else and so didnt I, so we didnt think anything about the other. Then after about a couple months of  "dating" the other people neither of those relationships ended up working. So then my family and his family were back on the "Why don't you meet Ryan, Why dont you meet Ashley" kick again. My younger sister ended up meeting him before me and told me that he was definately my type and that she had to my horror shown a video of me to him, playing with my new kitten in my PJS!!! I was totally mortified. Ryan later told me that the video did not do my very good justice and that at that point he had no interest in meeting me. (HAHAHA). My stepdad and Ryans' sister are enrolled in Tae Kwon Do together so one night I went to a testing and Ryan happened to be there, I thought he was really cute, so I had one of our family friend slip him my number. After a couple days he didnt call, I didnt think anything of it. Then one night on my day off I got a phone call from him. We talked for 4 hours on the phone! (We both HATE talking on the phone) He invited me on a date. I accepted. I had never been on a real date before so I was super excited. He took me out to the Olive Garden and then midnight bowling. It was the best first first date ever! He didnt even get mad when i kicked his butt in bowling. So then after the night was over and he dropped me off, he asked if i had fun and i said yes, and he said enough fun to go out again? Which i replied quickly YES! (I felt like a dummy later on that night). Our second date was pretty low key- he helped me paint my bedroom! Then after a couple weeks of just hanging out he asked me to be his girlfriend. Obviously i said yes! And now about 3 years later we are engaged to be married. AHH it seems so unreal! I cant wait to be his wife.
